Cleon Peterson Freedom/Prosperity At Any Price- Red Silkscreen Print by Cleon Peterson

Freedom/Prosperity At Any Price- Red Limited Edition Hand Pulled 2-Color Screenprint Print on 290gsm Arches Rag Paper with Deckled Edges by Cleon Peterson Graffiti Street Artist Modern Pop Art. Hand-pulled 18 x 24" screenprint. Printed on 290gsm Arches Rag paper with deckled edges. Each print is signed and numbered. Limited edition of 125. The visuality of Cleon Peterson's work is based on a variety of influences, from ancient Greek pottery to comics, resulting in monochromacy and strong color symbolism. In more detail, the figures exist on multiple straight lines, something that, subsequently, creates the illusion that the artwork is divided in levels. The perspective and the impression of depth do moderately exist in the art of Peterson and, just like in Greek vases, the background space is usually left empty or slightly embellished.

This limited edition, hand-pulled 2-color serigraph, reveals the intricate relationship between humanity and our environment. Imprinted on 100% cotton Coventry Rag paper, the choice of material underpins Fairey’s commitment to sustainable artistry. The dimensionality of the piece, 30 x 41 inches, lends itself to an immersive viewing experience, accentuated further by its hand-deckled edges, which bring a tactile, organic touch, reminiscent of the raw edges of street posters. In partnering with the PangeaSeed Foundation to release this work for Earth Month, Fairey encapsulates the pressing environmental concerns of the modern era. Central to the piece is the depiction of an endangered North Atlantic right whale that exudes a mandala with the earth cradled within. This mandala, rooted in various cultural traditions, signifies harmony, unity, and the interconnectivity of the planet's ecosystems. The floral ornaments within it blossom as symbols of flourishing harmony, but the contrasting inclusion of flames starkly reminds viewers of the ever-looming threat of global warming. The text - "Protect the Blue Planet" and "One Ocean-One People" - along with the chosen blue palette, draws attention to the inextricable bond between thriving oceans and a sustainable world. As a renowned figure in the street art community, Fairey's work has always pushed boundaries, and with "Protect The Blue Planet", he once again blurs the lines between artistic expression, activism, and social responsibility, reminding the world of its role in safeguarding the planet. "To celebrate Earth Month, in collaboration with PangeaSeed Foundation, I’m pleased to release, “Protect The Blue Planet” which features an endangered North Atlantic right whale emanating a mandala with the earth as its focal point. In several cultures, the mandala represents harmony, unity, and wholeness, all of which are important concepts when considering the interconnected nature of the planet’s ecosystems, people, and species. The mandala features floral ornaments symbolizing harmony in bloom, but also flames as a reminder of the perils of global warming. The “Protect the Blue Planet” and “One Ocean-One People” text within the artwork and the blue color palette serve to emphasize the crucial connection between healthy oceans and a healthy planet." – Shepard

My philosophy is actually “question everything”. Conformity is often more unconscious than conscious… an adaptation to structures we may not agree with and a submission to unseen forces of manipulation… unseen because our eyes and minds are not open wide enough. People come up with conspiracy theories like “the Illuminati” to explain the feelings that they are cogs in someone else’s machine, but the deconstruction of power and control requires nothing more than a conscious and diligent examination of how power and influence upon the government accumulate and concentrate under capitalism. • Pink Party Original Acrylic Painting by Serge Gay Jr Pink Party Original Acrylic Painting by Serge Gay Jr

Serge Gay Jr Pink Party Original Acrylic Painting by Serge Gay Jr

Pink Party Original One of a Kind Acrylic Painting Artwork on Stretched Canvas by Popular Art Pop Culture Artist Serge Gay Jr. 2011 Signed Original Acrylic Painting Size 40x30 Ready To Hang On Stretched Canvas Serge Gay Jr.'s "Pink Party": A Vibrant Fusion of Pop Culture and Fine Art "Pink Party," an original acrylic painting on stretched canvas by the acclaimed pop culture artist Serge Gay Jr., is a striking embodiment of the fusion between the worlds of high art and popular culture. This 2011 signed original artwork, measuring 40x30 inches, exemplifies Gay's ability to capture the zeitgeist of his era through a vibrant tableau that is at once playful, provocative, and poignant. The painting, ready to hang and enjoy, offers a window into the artist's vision where the lines between street art, pop art, and graffiti blur, creating a narrative that resonates on both an aesthetic and conceptual level. The artwork's visual lexicon is rich with symbolism and iconography, characteristic of Gay's style, which often weaves together elements of street pop art and graffiti artwork. "Pink Party" is no exception, with its bold colors, dynamic composition, and juxtaposition of imagery that speaks to the societal narratives and pop culture references. The painting's scene is a carnival of motifs that engage with themes of identity, celebration, and the undercurrents of social commentary, inviting viewers into a dialogue with the piece that goes beyond its surface beauty. Exploring the Layers in Serge Gay Jr.'s Artistic Expression The layers of meaning in Serge Gay Jr.'s "Pink Party" are a testament to the depth of his artistic expression. Each element within the canvas works in concert with the others to create a cohesive narrative that is both deeply personal and universally relevant. Gay's work often touches on the intersectionality of identity, culture, and the vibrant energy of urban life, and this painting is a celebration of those themes, presented with the flair and finesse that only a master of his craft can achieve. Gay's approach to pop culture is nuanced and layered, often reflecting on the past while commenting on the present. The imagery in "Pink Party" draws from a broad palette of cultural references, from music and fashion to social movements and everyday life. His ability to distill these elements into a single, harmonious composition is a hallmark of his work, making each piece a complex conversation starter. The use of acrylic paint adds a tangible texture to the work, emphasizing the physicality of the street art influence in his practice. The Cultural Relevance of "Pink Party" in the Artistic Landscape "Pink Party" holds a place of cultural relevance in the contemporary artistic landscape. It is reflective of a time when the boundaries between different art forms are increasingly porous, and the influence of pop culture on traditional art practices is undeniable. Serge Gay Jr.'s work is situated at the heart of this cultural shift, using the canvas to explore and explode the conventions of what fine art can be. This original piece by Gay not only exemplifies his skill as a painter but also his insight as a cultural commentator. Through his art, Gay captures the spirit of the times, embodying the energy, challenges, and triumphs of modern society. "Pink Party," with its captivating visual narrative and layered meanings, continues to resonate with audiences, securing its place as a significant work in the canon of 21st-century pop art. In the broader context of Street Pop Art & Graffiti Artwork, "Pink Party" represents the evolving nature of these genres, showcasing how they can transition from the walls of the city to the walls of a gallery without losing their impact or authenticity. The painting is a celebration of the street art ethos — accessible, engaging, and unapologetically bold. Serge Gay Jr.'s ability to bridge the gap between these worlds with such fluency is a testament to his role as a leading figure in the contemporary art scene. As a unique art object, "Pink Party" is not only a visual feast but also a piece of history, capturing the essence of an era where art is increasingly becoming a vehicle for social change and personal expression. It stands as a beacon of the creative possibilities that arise when the street meets the studio, and the result is a work that is as thought-provoking as it is beautiful.

  • Moon Over Biloxi- White Silkscreen Print by Shepard Fairey- OBEY

Shepard Fairey- OBEY Moon Over Biloxi- White Silkscreen Print by Shepard Fairey- OBEY

Moon Over Biloxi- White 1-Color Hand-Pulled Limited Edition Silkscreen Print on Fine Art Paper by Shepard Fairey Rare Street Art Famous Pop Artwork Artist. White Variant Signed & Numbered Moon Over Biloxi Screen Print 18 x 24 inches Edition of 200 July 27, 2010. "The title of this print “Moon Over Biloxi” is a tribute to the Dead Kennedy’s song “Moon Over Marin”. In 1984 I picked up maybe my 4th punk record which was the 2nd Dead Kennedy’s album “Plastic Surgery Disasters”. The album is a great listen all the way through and includes some blistering tunes like “Riot” and “Bleed For Me” laced with social commentary. The surprise song though is “Moon Over Marin”… detractors have called it the Dead Kennedy’s “U2” song, but I disagree. “Moon Over Marin” is more melodic than most DK, but juxtaposed with the darkness of the lyrics, the song evokes a powerful sense of existential melancholy. I think the concept that struck me, and stuck with me, is that our disrespect of each other and the planet may doom us, but things will continue without us. I think it is healthy to recognize impermanence, but also to appreciate the value of the ephemeral. Moonlight, real or electric, will probably be around, but what it will be casting light on is the real question. There will always be a moon over Biloxi." -Shepard

Jim Marshall's photograph of a coal mining family in Hazard, Kentucky, taken while he lived with them, says a lot with what it shows, which is a mother and two children huddled together in support of each other, but it says just as much with what it lacks. There is a conspicuous absence of material necessities and a father. I don't know whether the father was working in a coal mine when the photograph was taken or had potentially died young because of the health risks of working under dangerous conditions, but it is clear that the family is struggling and lacking.

  • Peoples Power Original Stencil Spray Paint Wood Panel Painting by Icy & Sot

Icy & Sot Peoples Power Original Stencil Spray Paint Wood Panel Painting by Icy & Sot

Peoples Power Original Painting Mixed Media Stencil & Spray Paint on Cut Out Wood Panel by Icy & Sot Graffiti Street Artist Modern Pop Art. 2015 Signed Original Spray Paint & Stencil Painting on Cut-Out Wood Artwork Size 21x46 "Life Size" "American Dream is inspired by the homeless guy holding ag Starbucks cup and asking for money. There are a lot of homeless people in New York, but they are invisible in between skyscrapers. We painted him bigger than the Empire State Building so he can be noticed more." - Icy &. Sot Decoding the Visual Language of 'People's Power' The artwork titled 'People's Power' by the street artist duo Icy & Sot is a striking example of modern pop art that interweaves the raw intensity of graffiti with the engaging allure of stencil work. Created in 2015, this original piece was meticulously crafted using mixed media, predominantly stencil and spray paint, on a cut-out wood panel. The artists' choice of materials and their technique tell of their deep roots in the traditions of street pop art and graffiti artwork, where the use of spray paint is iconic, and stencils allow for sharp, repeatable imagery that can be rapidly executed in the often tricky environments of public spaces. Artistic Expression on Social Realities 'People's Power' resonates with the ethos of street art by boldly tackling socio-political themes. Icy & Sot's work often reflects a keen awareness of contemporary issues; this piece is no exception. The narrative behind the 'American Dream' — the inspiration for 'People's Power' — stems from the artist's observation of a homeless individual in New York City, cradling a Starbucks cup while begging for money. This poignant scene, set against the backdrop of towering skyscrapers, sparked the creation of an artwork that seeks to amplify the presence of the often overlooked and marginalized figures in urban landscapes. The Symbolic Imagery of 'People's Power' In 'People's Power,' the central figure is depicted as larger than life, overshadowing the iconic Empire State Building. This artistic choice elevates the subject, literally and figuratively, granting him a visibility that is usually denied in real life. The mixed crowd surrounding the central figure appears to be in solidarity, suggesting a collective uprising or a unified stand against societal issues. The vibrant colors splashed across the face of the central figure add a sense of vitality and perhaps a glimmer of hope amidst the stark black and white of the crowd. Technique and Form in Icy & Sot's Creative Process The technical prowess of Icy & Sot is evident in the stencil work's precision and the spray paint's controlled chaos. By opting for a wood panel as the substrate, the artists step away from the transient nature of street walls, allowing 'People's Power' to exist as a portable manifesto of their artistic and ideological stance. The cut-out form of the artwork disrupts the conventional rectangular canvas, giving the piece an almost sculptural presence that echoes the three-dimensional experience of encountering street art in the wild. Contextualizing 'People's Power' Within Street Pop Art 'People's Power' is more than a visually captivating piece; it is a cultural artifact that encapsulates the spirit of street pop art. Icy & Sot have successfully harnessed the expressive potential of graffiti artwork to communicate with a broad audience, transcending linguistic and cultural barriers. The artwork's accessibility is crucial to its impact, following the tradition of street art that speaks directly to the public, unfiltered by the gatekeeping norms of traditional galleries and museums. Impact and Legacy of 'People's Power' The legacy of 'People's Power' lies in its ability to confront and converse with its audience about uncomfortable truths. As with many seminal works in the street pop art genre, this piece's value is amplified by its relevance to contemporary societal discourses. Icy & Sot's commitment to addressing the uncomfortable facets of modernity is what positions 'People's Power' as not only an object of aesthetic admiration but also as a beacon of social consciousness in the realm of modern art.

  • The Beauty of Rebellion Ballerina Riot Sculpture by Abell Octovan The Beauty of Rebellion Ballerina Riot Sculpture by Abell Octovan

Abell Octovan The Beauty of Rebellion Ballerina Riot Sculpture by Abell Octovan

The Beauty of Rebellion Limited Edition Polystone Art Toy Collectible Artwork by street graffiti artist Abell Octovan.  Set to challenge the notion of beauty in today's society; the ballerina is all geared up with a vest and mask, holding a smoke grenade and twirling and dancing amid a rebellion. Drawing inspiration from classic Greek sculptures, The Beauty of Rebellion features a smooth marble-like effect. The spray can is highlighted with a red accent, a representation of the desire to break free from the beauty conventions we all know. A Dance of Dissent Abell Octovan's "The Beauty of Rebellion" merges the classical grace of a ballerina with the subversive edge of street art, creating a polystone resin sculpture that challenges and redefines conventional aesthetics. This 2021 limited edition collectible embodies a visual protest against the rigid standards of beauty that permeate society, presenting a figure of elegance poised in an act of insurrection. The collectible portrays a ballerina, traditionally an icon of beauty and poise, adorned not with the typical delicate attire but with a vest and mask, holding a smoke grenade. This juxtaposition creates a striking image of contrast and conflict – amid a pirouette, the dancer is simultaneously a symbol of rebellion. The piece draws a parallel between the disciplined form of ballet and the chaotic nature of protest, suggesting that both require a certain degree of passion and precision. Marble and Movement: A Statue of Subversion Octovan's sculpture, with its smooth marble-like effect, nods to the classical Greek statues that epitomize an enduring standard of beauty and form. However, "The Beauty of Rebellion" subverts this tradition by introducing elements of street culture, namely the spray can, highlighted in red as a beacon of defiance. This very spray can represent the artist's – and society's – urge to break free from the constraints of conventional beauty norms. The ballerina stands on a cloud of billowing smoke, a base that further emphasizes the theme of upheaval. While symbolizing chaos, the smoke also serves as a pedestal for the figure, elevating her act of rebellion to one of artistic and cultural significance. This base grounds the sculpture in the realm of street pop art & graffiti artwork, where messages are often conveyed through bold and unexpected visual statements.  Defining Beauty Through Defiance "The Beauty of Rebellion" is not merely a collectible but a statement on the evolving perceptions of beauty in contemporary culture. Abell Octovan uses this piece to spark conversation about the societal pressures of beauty standards and the power of individual expression. The ballerina's dance becomes a metaphor for the struggle against these pressures, her grace a form of resistance, and her grenade a tool for societal awakening. In the context of street pop art & graffiti artwork, Octovan's work reflects the genre's capacity to address severe cultural and social issues through art that is accessible yet provocative. The sculpture encourages viewers to consider the many forms of beauty and how art can challenge the status quo. Legacy of Rebellion in Art Abell Octovan's "The Beauty of Rebellion" joins the ranks of iconic works within street pop art & graffiti artwork that have redefined how beauty is represented and understood. By fusing elements of classical art with modern-day symbols of resistance, Octovan creates a dialogue that extends beyond the sculpture into the fabric of societal discourse. The collectible is a testament to the enduring power of art to confront and question. In its blend of the classical and the contemporary, "The Beauty of Rebellion" stands as a symbol of the ongoing conversation about beauty, expression, and the role of art in challenging the conventions we have come to accept. It is a dance of dissent, captured in resin, echoing through the halls of modern art.

Shepard Fairey- OBEY Downward Trajectory Silkscreen Print by Shepard Fairey- OBEY

Downward Trajectory Hand-Pulled 4-Color Silkscreen Print on Cream Speckletone Fine Art Paper by Artist Shepard Fairey Limited Edition Pop Art Artwork. 2019 Signed & Numbered Limited Edition of 500 Artwork Size 24x24 “Downward Trajectory is one of the many new works featured in my 30th-anniversary show in Los Angeles, “Facing the Giant: Three Decades of Dissent and New Works,” -Shepard Fairey Shepard Fairey's work is highly political and social, not only because he is incorporating politicians and slogans in it but more importantly because the artist is primarily interested in approaching as many people as possible, exhibiting his work in the covers of the books, which we read, in the music albums, to which we listen, and on the walls of the streets, where we walk. “If I put art in a daring spot, it’s more moving to the viewer and demonstrates my conviction.”, he says. After all, Fairey, in many cases, directly expresses his views on politics and society, whenever he is given the chance. For example, in the aftermath of the “Hope” poster, he commented the following: “Obama has had a really tough time, but there have been a lot of things that he's compromised on that I never would have expected. I mean, drones and domestic spying are the last things I would have thought [he'd support]”. The political aspect of his work can, also, be seen under the spectrum of Fairey’s activism and humanitarian activity. Many of his works have been created as part of activism campaigns or were sold to support causes relevant to the Arts, animal rights, poverty, medical research, the environment, etc. The artist, however, doesn’t identify himself as an activist: “People ask me if I’m an activist, and my answer is no. I’m an artist with a point of view, but I want to do my part to supplement activist causes I believe in. I feel fortunate to connect with people who find my imagery useful and help spread it.”

Punk rock ignited a lot of creative and philosophical things for me, and punk principles continuously remind me that speaking truth to power and questioning authority is paramount in life. The Dead Kennedys, The Clash, Black Flag, and the Circle Jerks are just a few of the groups that referenced injustices such as police brutality and abuse of power in their songs, inspiring me to speak out about the same subjects through my art. I have made a lot of lasting friendships through punk rock and its cultural offshoots. One of those friends is Sean Bonner, who began ordering my prints in the ’90s while he was art director for punk label Victory Records.

Kerby Rosanes Global Warming Inked Art Toy Sculpture by Kerby Rosanes

Global Warming- Inked Limited Edition Polystone Sculpture Artwork by graffiti street artist modern pop artist Kerby Rosanes. 2021 Limited Edition 8" Polystone Sculpture New in Box. Inked Edition. The Symbology of Global Warming "Global Warning" is not just a sculpture but a visual narrative that captures the essence of street pop art and graffiti artwork. In this piece, a polar bear, an emblematic figure of climate change's dire consequences, perches atop a skull—a universal symbol of mortality and warning. The skull, often found in Rosanes' works, is not only a motif that resonates with the edgy and raw nature of street art but also a poignant reminder of the impermanence of life and the fragility of the natural world. The bear's poised and contemplative stance may be interpreted as a reflection on the current state of the environment, a theme that is urgent and relevant. The sculpture's name, "Global Warning," is a play on words, alluding to the global warming crisis while simultaneously issuing a warning about the potential fate of the planet. This clever wordplay indicates the thought-provoking nature inherent in Rosanes' creations. Kerby Rosanes' "Global Warning" is a sculpture that deftly conveys a critical message through street pop art and graffiti artwork. This 2021 limited edition polystone piece stands 8 inches tall and arrives in pristine condition, packaged within a box that ensures the artwork's protection and integrity. As a part of a unique series, this "Inked Edition" holds a special place in collectible art, especially among enthusiasts of Rosanes' work and collectors who appreciate the fusion of contemporary street art aesthetics with pressing global themes. The sculpture itself is a testament to Rosanes' mastery of ink-based artistry. Every inch of "Global Warning" is adorned with detailed lines drawn in ink, showcasing a level of intricacy that renders the addition of color superfluous. In this monochromatic world, the stark contrast of black and white does more than capture the observer's eye—it tells a story, ssues a statement, and provokes thought about our ecosystem's delicate balance. Monochrome as a Medium In the vast spectrum of street pop art, color plays a vital role in conveying emotion and building atmosphere. However, Rosanes takes an alternative route with the "Inked Edition" of "Global Warning." By employing only shades of black and white, he challenges the viewer to focus on the form, texture, and symbolism without the distraction of color. This choice is deliberate and impactful, as it mirrors the stark reality of environmental issues—often seen in black-and-white terms: action or inaction, survival or extinction. Rosanes' monochromatic approach also pays homage to the roots of graffiti artwork, which often started with only a can of spray paint and a wall as a canvas. In this sense, the "Inked Edition" bridges the traditional graffiti art style and the contemporary discourse on climate change. Artistry Meets Advocacy The intersection of art and advocacy is where Rosanes' "Global Warning" stakes its claim in the art world. It is a powerful representation of street pop art's ability to address societal issues head-on. The "Inked Edition" serves as a decorative piece and a call to awareness and action. Here, Rosanes' work transcends the boundaries of conventional artwork, becoming a beacon for environmental activism within the artistic community. As an object of art, "Global Warning" carries the weight of its message, harnessing the raw energy and spirit of street pop art and graffiti to highlight a pressing global challenge. Rosanes' choice to use polystone—a material known for its durability and fine detail—further amplifies the permanence of the message, suggesting that the issues of environmental degradation will not simply fade away. In the dynamic and ever-evolving world of street pop art and graffiti artwork, Kerby Rosanes' "Global Warning" stands out as a poignant, compelling work that captures the zeitgeist of our times. It serves as a stark reminder of the environmental issues that confront us and the power of art to elevate critical conversations within the public sphere. Through this limited-edition sculpture, Rosanes continues to inspire, provoke, and challenge, solidifying his place as a modern pop artist of significant influence.

Activism
Activism and social commentary have always been at the core of graffiti art and street art. These forms of art have been used as a powerful tool to raise awareness and provoke change on important social and political issues. Graffiti art and street art can serve as a platform for people to express their opinions, challenge social norms, and bring attention to the injustices in society. The origins of graffiti art can be traced back to the 1960s in Philadelphia, where teenagers began to write their names on walls and subway trains. The practice quickly spread to other cities and evolved into a form of art that incorporated political messages and social commentary. Graffiti art became a way for marginalized groups, such as minorities and the working class, to express their dissatisfaction with the status quo. Street art, on the other hand, emerged as a reaction to the commercialization of graffiti art. Street artists sought to move away from the illegality and rebelliousness of graffiti and instead create public art that was accessible to everyone. Street art is often characterized by its bright colors, bold designs, and political messages. One of the most famous examples of activism in graffiti art is the work of the anonymous street artist Banksy. Banksy's work often addresses political and social issues, such as war, poverty, and environmental destruction. Banksy's work is also known for its satirical commentary on contemporary society. For example, in his famous mural, "One Nation Under CCTV," Banksy depicts a young boy holding a paintbrush and a can of spray paint, while a security camera looms over him. The mural serves as a commentary on the surveillance state and the government's control over individual freedoms. Another example of activism in graffiti art is the work of the artist Shepard Fairey. Fairey is best known for his "Obey" campaign, which features a stylized image of wrestler Andre the Giant. Fairey's work is often politically motivated and has addressed issues such as government corruption, climate change, and police brutality. In 2008, Fairey created the iconic "Hope" poster for Barack Obama's presidential campaign, which became a symbol of the campaign's message of hope and change. Graffiti art and street art have also been used as a form of protest against police brutality and racial injustice. In the wake of the murder of George Floyd in 2020, cities across the United States were filled with murals and graffiti art that called for an end to police brutality and racial inequality. These works of art served as a powerful reminder of the need for systemic change and justice. In addition to political and social commentary, graffiti art and street art have also been used to address environmental issues. Many street artists have created works of art that call attention to the devastating effects of climate change and pollution. For example, the artist Blu created a mural in Italy that depicts a giant wave made of trash. The mural serves as a reminder of the impact of plastic pollution on the world's oceans. The influence of activism on graffiti art and street art has also been felt in the art world. Graffiti art and street art have gained acceptance as legitimate forms of art, and many street artists have become highly sought after by collectors and galleries. Some street artists have also collaborated with mainstream brands and corporations to raise awareness of social and environmental issues. While some critics argue that this co-optation of street art is a form of selling out, others see it as a way to reach a wider audience and effect change on a larger scale. Activism has played a significant role in the development and evolution of graffiti art and street art. These forms of art have been used as a platform for people to express their opinions, challenge social norms, and bring attention to important social and political issues. Graffiti art and street art have
