Task One 7-Eleven Store Original Dunny Town Art Toy by Task One

7-Eleven Store Original Dunny Town Art Toy by Task One Kidrobot Vinyl & Plaster Art Toy Collectible Pop Artwork. 2012 Original Dunny Town Painted Plaster Kidrobot Custom Dunny Artwork Size Approximate 3x4 Town 7-Eleven Store Original Dunny Art Toy by Task One Task One's 7-Eleven Store Original Dunny Town Art Toy The "7-Eleven Store Original Dunny Town Art Toy" by Task One is a unique intersection of consumer culture and street pop art, encapsulated in a vinyl art toy collectible. This original art by Task One, released in 2012, is a testament to the artist's skill in blending every day with the extraordinary, thus transforming a familiar urban icon into a piece of collectible pop artwork. The work is a part of the Dunny Town series, which is highly regarded in the vinyl art toy community for its innovative representation of miniature urban landscapes. This piece features the recognizable storefront of a 7-Eleven, a convenience store that dots urban landscapes worldwide, reimagined in the stylized form of a Kidrobot Dunny. It's a work that comments on the ubiquity of consumerism and the way brands imprint themselves on the collective consciousness of society. Task One's craftsmanship is evident in the meticulous details of the piece—from the signboard with the 7-Eleven logo to the tiny rendition of the store's entrance and the miniature trash can beside it. Using plaster to create this custom Dunny artwork adds a textural quality that echoes the tactile nature of street art. Reflection of Street Pop Art & Graffiti Artwork in Task One's Dunny The 7-Eleven Dunny by Task One is not just a collectible; it reflects street pop art and graffiti artwork. By selecting a Dunny—a figure that is essentially a blank slate—Task One engages in a dialogue with the pop art tradition of utilizing mass culture and transforming it into high art. With its hand-painted, plaster-modified surface, this piece bridges the gap between the often transient nature of street art and the permanence sought by fine art collectors. The art toy becomes a canvas for social commentary, echoing the voice of graffiti art that often critiques or highlights elements of urban life. Task One's art toy challenges the viewer to reconsider the role and value of commercial objects in art. It's a bold statement on the infiltration of branding in our daily lives, presented through the lens of a street artist. Placing a 7-Eleven on a Dunny characteristically embodies street pop art's playful yet critical spirit, where the mundane is repurposed to serve as a medium for creative expression. In the broader context, the "7-Eleven Store Original Dunny Town Art Toy" exemplifies how artists like Task One redefine the boundaries of art and collectibility. Through the fusion of street art sensibilities with the collectible toy culture, Task One has contributed to the burgeoning art toy movement, which continues to gain momentum and respect within the art community. This piece serves as a poignant piece of Task One's legacy, capturing the essence of his artistic vision and the cultural zeitgeist of the time.

Shepard Fairey, Sandra Chevrier, and the Artistic Synergy in Urban Landscapes Street pop art and graffiti artwork are vibrant chronicles of contemporary culture, often encapsulating the socio-political zeitgeist within their vivid tableaux. The "Beauty of Liberty & Equality" mural in Austin, meticulously captured in print by Jon Furlong, is a commanding representation of this genre. Initially crafted in the bustling milieu of Austin, the mural serves as a public art installation and a dialogue with its onlookers, beckoning them to reflect on the thematic elements of liberty and equality. Shepard Fairey, renowned for his "OBEY" campaign and his iconic Obama "HOPE" poster, brings his distinct stencil-based design and politically charged ethos to the piece. Sandra Chevrier, on the other hand, is celebrated for her "Cages" series, where she often depicts women's faces obscured by comic book imagery, exploring the "cages" society builds around individuals. In the domain of street pop art and graffiti, this print stands as a testament to the enduring power of visual art to challenge, celebrate, and contemplate the grand ideals of liberty and equality. The collaboration between Shepard Fairey, Sandra Chevrier, and Jon Furlong in capturing and sharing this moment contributes a significant chapter to the narrative of contemporary street art.

Released in 2018 and hand-pulled on a distressed 400gsm Reverse Optimum Grey Card, this piece serves as a testament to the transformative powers of art. It is not just a print, but a hand embellished, stencil-enhanced masterpiece, evident in the details of acrylic that dance across the surface. The presence of the signature of both artists and its limitation to a mere 350 pieces makes this artwork an exclusive collector's item, ensuring its revered status among art aficionados. The artwork's composition is both thought-provoking and rebellious. Queen Boudica, an emblem of British resistance against Roman occupation, is depicted on her iconic horse chariot. Yet, in a brilliant juxtaposition, she's positioned beside a modern skyscraper. This anachronistic pairing bridges ancient courage and modern defiance, reminiscent of the spirit of street art that challenges the conventional and provokes thought. Furthermore, the size of the artwork, measuring 17x25, strikes an impressive balance between dominance and subtlety, allowing it to make a statement without overpowering its surroundings. This print was introduced during the Art Car Boot Fair Edition, a venue that often showcases edgy and avant-garde pieces. The hand-distressed nature of the artwork adds a tactile dimension to it, grounding it in raw, authentic emotion, much like graffiti art on city walls. Jamie Reid's "Boudica Is Coming HPM" is a piece that captivates and intrigues, embodying the best aspects of pop and street art, ensuring its place as a hallmark in contemporary artistic expression.

Eddie Colla Cacophony Laser Cut Acrylic Archival Print by Eddie Colla

Cacophony Hand-Painted Multiple Archival Pigment Print on 3 Tiers of Laser-Cut Acrylic Panel ready to hang by Eddie Colla Graffiti Street Artist Modern Pop Art. 2020 Signed & Numbered Limited Edition of 25 Laser Cut Acrylic Artwork Size 18x18 "The Goldfish Girl was created almost a decade ago. I often revisit it, and she has been the longest continuing character I've created. I often write backstories for these characters to help me create the pieces, but they are generally never shared with the viewer. The Goldfish Girl was born in mainland China and raised mostly by a single father. Her mother passed away when she was 18 months old from cancer. She was often very ill as a child and was eventually diagnosed with a compromised immune system disorder, although a precise diagnosis was never given. This is the reason for always wearing the mask and gloves. Her father bred Goldfish for a living and taught her that trade as a kid. They worked side by side and rarely had visitors because of her condition. Often being extremely ill and also losing her mother made her childhood difficult. As most children do, she tried to find a reason for her misfortune, a reason for why all this had happened to her and her father. Eventually, she believed that her illness and her mother's cancer were punishment by nature. A curse for toying with nature by breeding goldfish. Eventually, her father passed away as well. Needing to make a living and also to taunt fate she illegally immigrated to Hong Kong. There is a famous goldfish market in Mong Kok on Tung Choi street, but it's commonly called goldfish street. With a compromised immune system the most dangerous thing to her was other people. As a challenge to fate, she moved to one of the most densely populated cities in the world. She got a stall on Tung Choi Street. This is her challenge, to taunt fate and win, becoming the master of her own fate. These images are vignettes of her life in Hong Kong. I've never given the character a name. Sometimes she is pictured with a boombox because music becomes a central companion to her mostly solitary life. In the piece Cacophony I wanted her to literally be surrounded by the city. In some way, I think I tried to create a character that embodied a lot of traits I aspire to. To remind me.” - Eddie Colla

The storefront, complete with a cannabis leaf emblem and welcoming door, is a miniature homage to the dispensaries that have become commonplace in certain regions, reflecting broader changes in law and social attitudes. • Carga Fragile Mural Lithograph Print by Shepard Fairey- OBEY

Shepard Fairey- OBEY Carga Fragile Mural Lithograph Print by Shepard Fairey- OBEY

Carga Fragile Mural 18-Color Lithograph Print by Shepard Fairey- OBEY Hand-Pulled Print on 270gsm BFK Rives Fine Art Paper Limited Edition Graffiti Street Pop Artwork. 2023 Signed & Numbered Limited Edition of 300 Artwork Size 40x28 Fine Art Large Format Lithograph "Carga Frágil" Mural in São Paulo, Brazil. This 18-color lithograph, measuring 40 by 28 inches, is printed on BFK Rives 270g paper featuring deckled edges. Created at the historic Idem Studio in Paris using a Marinoni press, it is based on an original illustration inspired by a photograph captured by Jon Furlong. The piece is signed by the artist, Shepard Fairey, and is a numbered edition limited to 300 prints. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Greenpeace USA. Each print is accompanied by a digital certificate of authenticity provided by Versiart and features the Idem publishing chop in the lower left corner. The Idem Studio was established within a 15,000-square-foot, two-story workshop at 49 rue de Montparnasse. Originally built in 1881 by printer Eugene Dufrenoy, the workshop was designed to house his lithographic presses. In its early days, the facility relied on 19th-century flat machines powered by belt-driven propeller shafts and a steam boiler. The space was later occupied by the Michard Printing Company, which specialized in crafting vibrant, special edition maps. In 1976, Fernand Mourlot acquired the workshop and transformed it into a fine art printshop. Throughout its history, the workshop has seen a revival of lithography, with craftsmen collaborating closely with esteemed artists such as Pablo Picasso, Henri Matisse, Alberto Giacometti, Joan Miró, and Marc Chagall. Today, the printshop is dedicated to contemporary artists like Sophie Calle, JR, William Kentridge, David Lynch, Paul McCarthy, and Raymond Pettibon. Lithographs at Idem Studio are created by drawing an image on a flat stone or transferring it onto aluminum plates. The image is then treated with water and an oil-based ink that is rolled across the surface. Paper is placed atop the matrix and run through a press, transferring the ink onto the paper to form the final lithograph. The process results in a rich, dense layer of ink, producing an exceptional final piece. Now known as Idem, the Mourlot company stands as one of the oldest printing houses still utilizing traditional lithography techniques.

Clowns Lithograph Print by Gary Taxali Hand-Pulled Print on Fine Art Paper Limited Edition Graffiti Street Pop Artwork. 2014 Signed & Numbered Limited Edition of 80 Artwork Size 19x22 Visual Narrative in Taxali's "Clowns" "Clowns" is a striking lithograph print by Gary Taxali, showcasing his exceptional talent blending street art, pop art, and traditional printmaking. This hand-pulled print on fine art paper is a limited edition from 2014, signed and numbered, with only 80 prints made, each measuring 19x22 inches. The clowns, often associated with humor and folly, are presented in a moment of uncontrolled fall, perhaps a metaphor for life's often tumultuous and unpredictable nature. This scene, set against the stark lines of city architecture, evokes a sense of movement and a clash between the animate and the inanimate, a theme commonly explored in Street Pop Art and graffiti Artwork. Technique and Limited Edition Appeal The lithography technique allows Taxali to bring a textural and nuanced quality to the print, reflecting the hands-on approach of street art. The limited edition of "Clowns" adds a collectible appeal, merging the democratic nature of street art with the exclusivity of the art world. In the context of modern art, "Clowns" by Gary Taxali stands as a vibrant example of how artists can bridge different artistic disciplines to create works that are both accessible and complex. This print reflects the ongoing narrative of pop art's influence on street art and vice versa, illustrating how the two can merge to form a distinct and compelling genre that resonates with a broad audience. Taxali's work continues to challenge and delight viewers, making a statement both a nod to the past and a commentary on the present state of art and society.
