Meggs Avenge Me Archival Print by Meggs

Avenge Me Limited Edition Archival Pigment Prints on 310gsm Museum Fine Art Paper by Meggs Graffiti Street Artist Modern Pop Art. "This piece was part of my 2014 solo show ‘Spoiled Rotten.’ It’s part of a series of hand-painted heroes over sourced old-school style target posters, which are then torn and collaged with a combination of found billposters and hand screen printed retro comic collages. All made during my month-long residency with Inner State Gallery in Detroit. The split between traditional ‘bad guy criminal’ & Captain America reflects the classic comic narrative of Hero vs Villain, however, the distressed style & execution of the piece references the fragile nature of moral ideals and social justice in contemporary American society." - Meggs

Burnt Out Limited Edition Archival Pigment Prints on 310gsm Museum Natural Fine Art Paper by Luke Chueh Graffiti Street Artist Modern Pop Art. “For many years, I've had the pleasure of working with 1xRUN, and I've seen them grow and diversify. For this show, I want to create an exhibition that I could only pull off with Inner State & 1xRUN. In order to do that I took full advantage of the tools and technology that they have in their on-site studio. From silkscreen reproduction to hand-embellished prints, to laser cut editions, this show will truly push the boundary of the kind of artwork I've created and explore the merging of art and commerce,” Chueh said while working in from his Los Angeles studios. For the last 20 years, Chueh has remained a fixture of the contemporary art movement, straddling the line between fine art, lowbrow, limited edition vinyl toys, and fine art prints engaging each segment with an equally devoted fanbase. In addition to creating accessible works for collectors of all price points, Damaged Goods will also feature 15 of Chueh’s signature paintings and characters.“As a working artist, I'm constantly dividing my time between the development of my studio art and the production of various products inspired by that artwork. I'm always searching for ways to re-interpret the stories and characters in my paintings and take advantage of collector trends, whether it be limited edition prints or art toys.” Luke Chueh

  • Can't Sleep Clowns Will Eat Me- 17 x 17 Archival Print by Ben Frost

Ben Frost Can't Sleep Clowns Will Eat Me- 17 x 17 Archival Print by Ben Frost

Can't Sleep Clowns Will Eat Me- 17 x 17 Limited Edition Archival Pigment Prints on 310gsm Museum Natural Fine Art Paper by Ben Frost Graffiti Street Artist Modern Pop Art. "The world is run by clowns. Moronic and colorful, they dance across our television screens touting surreal propaganda and advertising slogans in a bizarre theatrical performance without intermission. No wonder I have trouble sleeping.? I use mini-dialogues that come together to make up an overall pastiche, that reflects how I see the world – especially as it is delivered to us through the media. In these 'mash-up' paintings, countless characters exist and interact within the same picture plane, to create a frenetic snapshot of the chaos that we endure in our every-day lives. " - Ben Frost Ben Frost is utilizing imagery familiar to western culture in order to make a statement about the culture itself on the basis of consumerism, modern icons, big corporations, etc. Animation characters, pop icons, brand logos, and many more are transformed into vibrant artworks and find their place in galleries. With this in mind, and in the case of Ben Frost, it is futile to try to identify a clear borderline between low and high art. In reality, the artist wants the audience to think on the terms of high or low value and, by extension, what these actually mean. Over the years street artists have managed to establish themselves as respected creators and some of them have even gained international fame, transforming graffiti from a fringe art, aiming sometimes to mark street gangs’ territory, into big business.

Playful characters, with their exaggerated expressions, dominate the canvas, invoking an almost child-like wonder and joy. The rich use of primary colors, the bold lines, and dynamic shapes all encapsulate the pulsating energy of city life. Each individual element seems to tell a story of its own, but when viewed collectively, they create a cohesive narrative. There's an air of adventure, of stories waiting to unfold, of discoveries lurking in every corner. From expressive faces framed by star motifs to abstract symbols like lightning bolts and explosions, the art captures the dynamism and spontaneity of street culture. Notably, the characters, each distinct in its design and demeanor, imbue the artwork with a palpable sense of movement. There's a rhythm that seems to emerge, as if the figures are dancing to an unseen tune. They are both the story and the storytellers, inviting the viewer into their vibrant world. In the realm of graffiti and street art, such works exemplify the uninhibited creativity and the unapologetic boldness that the genre is known for. Shark Toof Ceci N'est Pas Une Spongebob PP Archival Print by Shark Toof

Ceci N'est Pas Une Spongebob PP Archival Print by Shark Toof Limited Edition Print on 310gsm Museum Fine Art Paper Pop Artist Modern Artwork. PP Printers Proof 2019 Signed & Marked PP Limited Edition Artwork Size 24x18 Archival Pigment Fine Art. "Ceci N'est Pas Une Spongebob, This Is Not A Spongebob" Decoding "Ceci N'est Pas Une SpongeBob" by Shark Toof "Ceci N'est Pas Une SpongeBob" is a provocative piece by the renowned street pop artist Shark Toof, challenging the boundaries of pop culture iconography within the context of modern street art. The artwork is a Printer's Proof (PP) archival print from 2019, meticulously signed and marked by the artist, denoting its status as a rare collector's item. Printed on 310gsm Museum Fine Art Paper, this piece exemplifies the high-quality medium Shark Toof employs to ensure durability and depth of color, crucial for the archival pigment fine art that this work represents. A Fusion of Street Art and Pop Culture This piece is a testament to the collision of street pop art and graffiti artwork with mainstream pop culture symbols. Shark Toof takes the universally recognized figure of SpongeBob SquarePants and distorts it, presenting an image that both acknowledges and subverts the original character. The title itself, a nod to René Magritte's "The Treachery of Images," prompts viewers to question the nature of representation and reality in art. Shark Toof's work suggests that the image of SpongeBob we see is not the character itself but a representation skewed by the artist's perspective and the cultural context in which it is viewed. Shark Toof's Artistic Commentary In "Ceci N'est Pas Une SpongeBob," Shark Toof is not simply replicating a beloved character; he is initiating a dialogue about the saturation of media icons in society and the consumption of these images. The distortion and decomposition of SpongeBob's features invite the audience to reflect on how mass media shapes and sometimes distorts our perceptions. This work captures the spirit of street pop art by using graffiti artwork's spontaneous and rebellious essence to comment on and criticize phenomena. The layered textures and vibrant colors reveal the complex relationship between commercial imagery and artistic expression. The art piece explores the tension between street art's ephemeral nature and fine art prints' enduring quality. Shark Toof bridges two seemingly disparate worlds by choosing SpongeBob, an icon from an animated children's show, and placing it in the sophisticated realm of limited edition prints. This juxtaposition challenges the viewer's understanding of what constitutes 'legitimate' art, questioning the hierarchies within the art world. Through "Ceci N'est Pas Une SpongeBob," Shark Toof contributes to the discourse on the value and significance of street pop art and graffiti artwork in contemporary culture. By recontextualizing a figure from the lexicon of popular media, he endows it with new meaning and elevates it within the art canon. This artwork is a visual spectacle with an intellectual engagement, prompting conversations about the nature of art, media's influence, and street art's power to transform and transcend ordinary objects and characters into extraordinary pieces of cultural commentary.

Daenerys Limited Edition Archival Pigment Prints on 310gsm Museum Natural Fine Art Paper by Sam Spratt Graffiti Street Artist Modern Pop Art. "This piece was digitally painted back in March using a Wacom Cintiq Tablet from sketch to finish. You may notice the hair being fairly whooshy. I'm very proud of this whooshiness. I've seen the show in full. If I'd read the books I would know that her eyes should be purple and her hair should be silver-er. She seemed like the least likely to die and thus the art would live on forever, but I haven't read the books so I could be totally wrong." - Sam Spratt

Nychos Dissection Of The White Rabbit AP Archival Print by Nychos

Dissection Of The White Rabbit Limited Edition Archival Pigment Print on 300gsm Museum Natural Fine Art Paper by Nychos Graffiti Street Artist Modern Pop Art. AP Artist Proof 2013Signed & Marked AP Artwork Size 16x16 "I painted this piece in January of this year, right before I went to Hawaii for Pow Wow. It was also featured in my recent solo show in Italy, showcasing some of my recent dissections. The concept is based on the graphical graffiti throw-up I have been doing since around 2005, but I had to do a dissection of this one! The image is now Rabbit Eye Movement's main (REM) logo. REM started as a street art concept based in Vienna, but I always saw the Rabbit Eye Movement as an homage to all the "rabbits" out there being" active in the urban art movement; it doesn't matter what mission they are following. The movement grew, and REM expanded to establish the REM ARTSPACE. This place addresses national and international artists from genres like graffiti, urban illustration, street art, lowbrow, and pop culture imagery. It allows individual and collective creativity to open minds and cultivate passionate inspiration." - Nychos. Nychos' "Dissection of The White Rabbit": A Modern Pop Art Phenomenon In the contemporary urban landscape, few art pieces have captured the imagination as vividly as "Dissection of The White Rabbit" by Nychos, the illustrious graffiti street artist. This limited edition archival pigment print on 300gsm Museum Natural Fine Art Paper stands as a hallmark of modern pop art and a defining piece within the street pop art and graffiti artwork genre. Created as an artist proof (AP) in 2013, this 16x16 artwork weaves complex narratives of biology, mythology, and urban culture into a single, striking, and thought-provoking canvas. Nychos: Anatomical Explorations and Urban Narratives Nychos, renowned for his unique approach to street art, employs a distinctive technique of anatomical dissection in his work. "Dissection of The White Rabbit" is a prime example, presenting a rabbit split down the middle to reveal the intricate workings of its internal organs. This piece was conceived in January of that year, just as Nychos was preparing to attend Pow Wow in Hawaii, and subsequently became a centerpiece in his solo show in Italy. Nychos's work delves into the layers that compose living beings, reflecting a deep fascination with what lies beneath the surface. By marrying the graphic energy of graffiti throw-ups with the precise detail of dissections, Nychos has forged a new path in street pop art. The artwork also functions as the emblem for the Rabbit Eye Movement (REM), a concept originating from the streets of Vienna. Nychos envisions REM as a tribute to the 'rabbits' of the urban art movement, symbolizing the active participants in this burgeoning cultural scene, regardless of their mission. REM has since evolved to establish the REM ARTSPACE. This creative hub celebrates a variety of genres, from graffiti and urban illustration to street art, lowbrow, and pop culture imagery. This space is dedicated to fostering individual and collective creativity and serves as a bastion for the free exchange of ideas, ensuring the progression and inspiration of artists worldwide. The Impact and Legacy of Nychos' Work The influence of "Dissection of The White Rabbit" extends beyond its visual impact. It embodies Nychos' profound effect on the street art scene, illustrating the transformative power of visual arts in urban spaces. The work is a representation of the artist's technical prowess and a symbol of his commitment to challenging the traditional boundaries of street pop art and graffiti artwork. As the primary logo for the Rabbit Eye Movement, it has become synonymous with a global network of artists dedicated to advancing the cause of street art. Through his work and the establishment of REM ARTSPACE, Nychos has played a pivotal role in shaping the dialogue around street art and its place in the broader spectrum of contemporary art. In essence, "Dissection of The White Rabbit" is more than just a piece of art; it is a cornerstone of Nychos' artistic and cultural contribution. This piece encapsulates the dynamism and versatility of street pop art and graffiti artwork, demonstrating how such works can simultaneously educate, inspire, and provoke thought. As Nychos' fame continues to rise and his works continue to captivate audiences around the globe, the legacy of his white rabbit, dissected and displayed, stands as an enduring symbol of the power and potential of street art.

In Dubai, they have strict rules on obscenity and vulgarity. I had been wanting to paint this piece for a long time and was looking for just the right image to use as a base in it. I finally found it amongst the bowels of the internet. This painting is a visualization of an amazing Bill Hicks joke from his stand-up routine. In his stand up Bill goes into great detail about the evils of advertising when left unchallenged and unchecked. He imagines and describes an ad in the not-so-distant future that one day may exist. This painting is of that ad. Bill Hicks was a fucking genius and I only hope I did his work the justice it deserves. He was so inspirational in forming my current mindset, a true artist and rebel. I take inspiration from different artists in different ways. I like to visualize things like songs or speech or comedy and play with the different elements I come up with. I have a very playful mind." - Denial Denial is a Canadian artist who experiments with aerosol and stencil art, while his main fields of interest are consumerism, politics and the human condition in today’s society. Since the culture of graffiti was gaining more and more popularity in the US and Europe, the taggers had to be increasingly original in order to stand out. The signatures became bigger, more stylized and more colorful.

Headphones Limited Edition Archival Pigment Prints on 310gsm Museum Natural Fine Art Paper by Luke Chueh Graffiti street artist modern pop art. 2016 Signed & Numbered Limited Edition of 200 Artwork Size 18x24 "Headphones" was created for my 2014 solo show, "Self-ish," at Corey Helford Gallery. As the show title implies, the paintings created for the show had an autobiographic theme. As most have come to expect from me, most of the paintings from this show were rich in metaphor and symbolism, but I created a couple of paintings that were simply reflections of my everyday life. "Headphones" is one of those paintings. As the painting illustrates, my rabbit stands, wearing a hoody and headphones. On a good day, you can find me assuming the same pose, going for a walk around my neighborhood, listening to whatever suits my mood." - Luke Chueh Reflections of the Mundane: "Headphones" by Luke Chueh The piece "Headphones" by Luke Chueh stands out as a poignant example of street pop art, leveraging the autobiographical elements that often permeate graffiti street art to create a modern pop artwork rich in metaphor and symbolism. Part of the limited edition archival pigment prints on 310gsm Museum Natural Fine Art Paper, this 2016 signed and numbered edition of 200 pieces carries a sizeable presence at 18x24 inches, both in physical and narrative scope. In "Headphones," the simplicity of the subject—a rabbit donned in a hoodie and headphones—starkly contrasts the layered complexity often found in Chueh's work. The painting debuted in his 2014 solo show, "Self-ish," at Corey Helford Gallery, where the artist delved into the introspective journey of self-reflection. Each work in the show was a chapter of Chueh's personal story, with "Headphones" serving as a mirror to his daily reality. The rabbit, a recurring motif in Chueh's work, is depicted in a moment of repose, symbolizing the artist's practices of introspection and solitude as he walks through his neighborhood immersed in music. Luke Chueh's Artistic Language in Street Pop Art Luke Chueh's art sits at the intersection of street pop art and graffiti artwork, drawing from personal experiences to evoke universal themes. His use of the rabbit—an innocent and often underestimated animal—juxtaposed with human attributes invites viewers to contemplate the anthropomorphic figure's emotional state and the role of music as an emotional conduit. "Headphones" encapsulates a state of being that resonates with many—those moments of self-imposed isolation where music serves as the only companion, creating a private narrative amidst the public realm. Chueh's work challenges the viewer to find depth in the mundane, encouraging a deeper examination of the every day through a lens of simplicity and subtle symbolism. His limited edition "Headphones" print captures the essence of the original painting, allowing art collectors to hold a moment of Chueh's life, symbolic of the broader human experience. The artwork transcends mere aesthetic value, embodying the ethos of street pop art where the line between an artist's reflection and the public's perception is blurred. Through "Headphones," Luke Chueh contributes to the rich tapestry of street pop art and graffiti artwork, showcasing how the simplest expressions can hold profound significance. This piece does not just hang on a wall; it speaks, it resonates, and it lives as a testament to the power of art in capturing the fleeting moments that define our existence. Chueh's rabbit, solitary yet universal, invites audiences into a silent symphony of introspection—a melody that many can tune into, finding a piece of themselves within life's quiet beats and rhythms.

His colorful drip technique imbues the piece with movement and fluidity, suggesting a moment frozen in time where colors run and blend into each other. This movement is juxtaposed with the iconic smiley face, a motif synonymous with the artist's work. The archival pigment used in "Phase 1" ensures that the print's colors remain as vivid and impactful as the day they were printed. This high-quality ink and fine art paper guarantees longevity and resistance to the elements, a crucial consideration for collectors and enthusiasts of street pop art and graffiti artwork. The PP designation is critical, as Printer's Proofs are often considered more valuable than standard prints due to their limited quantity and role in the printmaking process. Sket-One's work has always been at the forefront of street pop art, a genre that borrows from the iconography and accessibility of pop culture and infuses it with the raw energy of street art. "Phase 1" is no exception. It is a bold declaration of the artist's command over his medium and his willingness to push the boundaries of what is possible within the confines of a print. The piece is not just a reflection of Sket-One's artistic prowess but also of the broader movement of street pop art, which continues to challenge and redefine the limits of contemporary art. Sket-One's "Phase 1 PP Printer Proof" symbolizes the transformative power of street pop art and graffiti artwork. It is a testament to the artist's vision and contribution to the evolution of these genres. The print is a dialogue between the artist and the audience. This colorful exploration bridges the gap between street art's rebellious spirit and the art gallery's curated experience. As such, it is both a valuable piece of modern art and a vibrant addition to pop and street art discourse in the 21st century.

This cave is full of stacked rocks left by previous visitors though in all of my visits I never encountered anyone inside, and so it has the air of a place of significance for many people traveling along parallel lines but not intersecting. The purpose of a "sanctuary" is to provide asylum in a time of stress or danger and this cave gave me peace at a time when I was letting go of one facet of my life and fostering the growth of a new one; the severed stag head and the fawn." - J.A.W. "I had a reference image I took of myself many years ago. I had lost my sketchbook that day and had nothing to paint on, so I started using myself as a model in some kitschy noir-like photo shoot. I always liked the photo and wanted to paint it up, but it wasn't until this show came around that I found a proper place for the image. Though I'm not at all as dramatic, violent, or angry as the painting displays (quite the opposite), it was a lot of fun to roleplay that kind of revengeful character! I've always said painting is kind of my quiet/shy way of acting... I like to paint narratives and covey them in a way that touches emotions and stirs up thought, kind of like a film might." - Sarah Joncas

Signal Flare Limited Edition Archival Pigment Prints on 310gsm Museum Natural Fine Art Paper by Adam Caldwell Graffiti Street Artist Modern Pop Art. "This is a painting of one of my favorite models, Victoria. I painted her in front of a vintage photo of a railway signalman swinging a lantern at night. He’s sending information to the conductor of the train by moving the light in different patterns. There are also elements from an architectural model, a receding yellow fire hose, and some backward 1950’s ad copy. This piece was part of a recent show with Ekundayo and Joram Roukes "New Generation" at Thinkspace gallery in July 2013. I used ad copy, historical photos, and female figures as elements in most of the pieces. It’s a bit simpler than most of my compositions. The figure is really centered as well, I usually push for a more asymmetrical placement, but I like how it came out." - Adam Caldwell

I have transcended “getting it right” to developing my own style, having some fun in the process, and creating some interesting characters. It’s my way of looking at human life and creating magic. I’m very excited for these images to go out into the world. They force me to ask who is God? Why are we created in his image? With this series I’m trying to understand this entity that we call God and at the same time understand life.” - Tyree Guyton

At that point I worked to complete a narrative and what I was seeing in my mind. Creating art is like writing a book in a sense and if there's an audience out there that enjoys reading it, that's inspiring to me. Soto's work contemplates the evolving landscape of California—a place renowned for its technological advancements and breathtaking natural beauty. Technique and Symbolism in 'The Californian' Creating a Printer's Proof, like "The Californian," involves a level of craftsmanship and attention to detail that bridges the gap between the raw, expressive energy of street art and the precision of fine art printmaking. The PP designation is traditionally used to denote prints that verify the printed edition's quality. In the case of limited editions, they are often highly coveted by collectors for their closeness to the artist's original vision. Soto's decision to create a PP edition reflects a nod to the traditional printmaking process and an acknowledgment of the print as an artwork in its own right. In "The Californian," Soto's use of archival pigment on fine art paper ensures that the rich textures and depths of color are preserved, providing a print that stands the test of time physically and conceptually. The piece is a dialogue between the immediacy and impermanence of graffiti art and the enduring nature of fine art prints, allowing the work to be appreciated in diverse settings, from urban walls to gallery spaces. Cultural Impact of Jeff Soto's 'The Californian' "The Californian" PP Printer's Proof is a testament to Jeff Soto's enduring impact on street pop art and graffiti artwork. By transposing his work from large-scale murals to the more intimate medium of fine art prints, Soto enables a broader audience to engage with his artistic vision. The cultural impact of this piece lies in its ability to convey a narrative that is at once personal and universal, reflecting the artist's Californian roots while addressing global concerns about the intersection of human innovation and nature. Moreover, the artwork underscores the transformative power of street art, from an often ephemeral urban expression to a lasting artifact of contemporary culture. Soto's work, particularly in the form of limited edition prints like "The Californian," invites ongoing discourse on the role of street art in the contemporary art world, challenging perceptions and encouraging a reevaluation of the boundaries between street art, pop art, and fine art. "The Californian" by Jeff Soto is a vibrant representation of the fusion of street art's spontaneity and the longevity of fine art prints. As a PP Printer's Proof, it is a collector's item that captures a moment in Soto's artistic journey. It offers insight into the complexities and dualities that define the modern Californian identity and the broader human experience.

The Waiting Game Limited Edition Archival Pigment Prints on 310gsm Museum Natural Fine Art Paper by Hueman Graffiti Street Artist Modern Pop Art. "All of the pieces in this show were created organically, first by painting a spontaneous, freehand abstract background, then finding faces in the paint, carving them out, and building around them with shapes and lines. This one was no exception. Everything I create moves along an improvised stream of consciousness. The title describes the mood I was in when I painted it and is also the title of a song that I had playing while in my studio. The composition is what makes it unique from the rest of my work. The figure is lying down and looking up, and there is a hand, something that I don’t usually paint that often. The abstract clouds and negative space dominate, and the figure doesn’t stand out but instead melts into this strange cloudy shape." - Hueman

This Is America Artwork Giclee Limited Edition Print on 300gsm Museum Natural Fine Art Paper by Pop Culture Graffiti Artist Adam Caldwell. AP Artist Proof 2015 Signed & Marked AP Limited Edition Artwork Size 17x14 "I've waited my whole life to create artwork that incorporated my grandfather Erskine Caldwell's work. The show at White Walls was the perfect chance. He was the bestselling author of over 50 books including “Tobacco Road” and “God’s Little Acre”. The show was about my grandfather's work as a writer and my step-grandmother Margaret Bourke-White’s photography. This was the centerpiece of the show and was used for the postcard as well as advertisement for the show. While I was painting a series based on the novels written by my grandfather I was looking at the lurid pulp cover depictions of seductive southern women on his paperback editions, and the photography of his second wife Margaret Bourke-White. I was interested in his critically acclaimed, socially conscious portrayals of the economic and social conditions of southern sharecroppers, and how his publishers marketed his paperback books as softcore semi-pornography detailing the sex lives of their characters. Margaret Bourke-White’s photos also display an intense interest in race, class, and social problems." - Adam Caldwell

This limited edition artwork, produced in a series of 40 archival pigment prints on 310gsm Museum Natural Fine Art Paper, measures 16x20 inches and is a signed and numbered offering from the artist. In black and white, the piece depicts a street scene brimming with various graffiti throw-ups and tags, capturing the raw essence of the graffiti artist's vision. Decoding the Urban Canvas in LushSux's Art The artwork is a monochromatic tribute to the graffiti culture, embodying the visual language and symbols that graffiti writers imbue in the urban environment. In this piece, buildings are not merely structures but potential canvases, bristling with opportunity and awaiting the artist's mark. LushSux translates the three-dimensional world into a flat surface yet retains the depth and complexity of the graffiti artist's perspective. Each element, from the roller tags to the dripping paint, is rendered authentically, highlighting the artist's intimate understanding of this art form. LushSux and the Graffiti Narrative Through "What A Graffiti Writer Sees," LushSux makes a poignant statement about perception and the often overlooked details in our surroundings. The piece transcends a simple depiction of graffiti; it explores the artist's psyche, the subcultural codes, and the often invisible dialogue between graffiti writers. It is a reflective piece, inviting the viewer to step into the shoes of those who see the city as a playground of expression. LushSux, as both a participant and observer in the graffiti scene, uses his artwork to bridge the street and the gallery, merging the visceral experience of street pop art with the contemplative space of fine art viewership. This artwork is not just a representation of a physical space; it is a window into the cultural and social underpinnings of the street art movement, a modern pop art phenomenon that continues to evolve and provoke.
