  • Hollow Breath Original Acrylic Charcoal Painting by Craww Hollow Breath Original Acrylic Charcoal Painting by Craww

Craww Hollow Breath Original Acrylic Charcoal Painting by Craww

Hollow Breath Original One of a Kind Charcoal & Acrylic Painting Artwork on Cradled Wood by Popular Street Graffiti Artist Craww. 2013 Signed Original Acrylic Painting Artwork Size 23.5x31.5 on Wood Cradled Panel Ready to Hang Fine Art. Exploring the Depths of Craww's Hollow Breath "Hollow Breath," a captivating original artwork by the acclaimed street graffiti artist Craww, is a poignant example of how the raw energy of street pop art & graffiti artwork can be channeled into more traditional fine art mediums. This one-of-a-kind piece, created in 2013, is a symphony of charcoal and acrylic on a cradled wood panel, showcasing the artist's adeptness with both materials. The 23.5x31.5 inches artwork provides a generous space for Craww's dark, dreamlike vision to unfold. Signed by the artist, "Hollow Breath" captures the essence of Craww's signature style, which often features ethereal female figures enmeshed with elements of nature. The painting explores recurrent themes in his work: the duality of beauty and melancholy and the intricate dance between life and death. The charcoal lends a softness to the painting, allowing for subtle gradations and depth, while the acrylics bring a vibrancy that pierces through the monochromatic veil. Technique and Symbolism in Craww's Hollow Breath In "Hollow Breath," Craww's use of charcoal and acrylic paints is not merely a choice of preference but a deliberate decision to convey complex emotional states. The charcoal, with its smoky and diffuse quality, creates a sense of impermanence and fragility, echoing the transient nature of life. Meanwhile, the acrylics, known for their boldness and clarity, highlight the painting's focal points, such as the lilies and roses, symbols of purity and passion. The cradled wood panel serves as an ideal substrate for this piece, its solidity starkly contrasting the delicacy of the imagery. This juxtaposition reflects the contrasts found throughout Craww's work, where strength and vulnerability often coexist. The wood's texture adds an organic feel to the piece, grounding it in the natural world that frequently influences Craww's art. Craww's Unique Position in Contemporary Art Craww is uniquely positioned in contemporary art, bridging the gap between the often separate worlds of street art and fine art. "Hollow Breath" is a testament to his ability to navigate these realms, bringing street art's immediacy and authenticity into a format traditionally associated with galleries and museums. The originality of this painting and its readiness to hang make it not just a work of art but a statement piece ready to grace the walls of an art connoisseur. The sad beauty of "Hollow Breath" resonates with those familiar with Craww's work in public spaces. Yet, it also stands alone as a powerful piece of fine art, inviting interpretation and admiration from viewers who may or may not be acquainted with his street art. This versatility and broad appeal make Craww's work particularly compelling within the contemporary art scene. "Hollow Breath" encapsulates the haunting allure of Craww's artistic vision, merging the fluidity of charcoal with the intensity of acrylics on a canvas as enduring as wood. This original painting is a striking example of how street pop art & graffiti artwork can transcend their urban roots to create fine art that is both profound and accessible, carrying the power to move and mesmerize within the quiet walls of an interior space.

Characterized by its use of iconic imagery intertwined with gritty urban landscapes, it stands as a vivid commentary on consumer culture and societal decay. Jeff Gillette, an acclaimed American artist, has been dubbed as "the man who destroys Disneyland," as he frequently utilizes familiar and nostalgic Disney figures juxtaposed against dystopian backdrops in his art. In this particular piece, the recognizable figure of Minnie Mouse is manipulated in an unconventional graffiti stencil style, emphasizing the essence of street art in its rawest form. The "Period 12" refers to Minnie's untimely Menstruation and the painting number. Gillette infuses this piece with a paradoxical blend of innocence and bleakness. This contrast not only critiques our media-saturated society but also invites viewers to question the impact of corporations on our shared cultural consciousness. With its unfiltered portrayal of the tension between popular culture and reality, the "Minnie Period 12 Hand Stencil Original Canvas" by Jeff Gillette stands as a powerful exemplar of modern pop and street art.

  • The North Road Original Gouache Wood Painting by Chris Austin

Chris Austin The North Road Original Gouache Wood Painting by Chris Austin

The North Road Original Gouache Painting by Chris Austin One of a Kind Artwork on Wood by Street Art Pop Artist. 2023 Signed Gouache Painting Original Artwork Size 10x10 Chris Austin's extraordinary "The North Road" original gouache wood painting, is an exemplar of how contemporary art can challenge and redefine our conventional understanding of space and form. This piece of art, which seamlessly fuses elements of pop, street and graffiti art, is instantly captivating and thought-provoking. It uniquely presents a surreal scenario where a shark is depicted flying through taxi cabs amid city traffic. Austin's bold and idiosyncratic style confronts the viewers with the reality of urban chaos and the power of imagination. The artist's use of gouache, a type of watercolor paint that can produce intensely vibrant colors, allows for a rich depiction of the otherwise everyday urban landscape and the completely out-of-place ocean predator. The brightness of the taxis and the shark, contrasted with the muted, almost monochromatic background of the cityscape, gives the composition an intense visual impact, typical of pop and street art. In the realms of street and graffiti art, such pieces not only provide aesthetic pleasure but are also often imbued with social and political commentary. Austin's painting could be seen as a critique of urban congestion and pollution, using the incongruous image of the shark to draw attention to the unnaturalness of city life. Alternatively, the flying shark might symbolize the survival instincts and adaptability needed to thrive in a bustling city. "The North Road" stands as a testament to the limitless creativity and capacity for social commentary inherent in the genres of pop, street, and graffiti art. It continues to captivate audiences with its vibrant colors, surreal subject matter, and the compelling dialogue it prompts about our relationship with urban spaces.

  • Goonie 030 Original Watercolor Painting by Naoto Hattori

Naoto Hattori Goonie 030 Original Watercolor Painting by Naoto Hattori

Goonie 030 Original Watercolor Art Painting on Framed Fine Art Paper by Surreal Artist Naoto Hattori. 2013 Signed Original One-of-a-Kind Watercolor Painting Framed Artwork Frame Size 8.5x8.5 Image Size 3x3 Custom Framed & Matted By Artist. The Singular Essence of Naoto Hattori's Goonie 030 In the vast landscape of contemporary art, there lies a particular niche where the surreal and the concrete converge. Here, the creations of Naoto Hattori resonate with a peculiar vibrancy, a kind of street pop art that blurs the lines between the urban graffiti art movement and the fantastical realms of the imagination. The 'Goonie 030' original watercolor art painting is a quintessential embodiment of this confluence. The work, created in 2013, is an original signed piece by Hattori, celebrated for its one-of-a-kind presence in the art community. The 'Goonie 030' piece explores the intimate interplay between the medium of watercolor and the surreal artistic impulses that characterize Hattori's oeuvre. The framed artwork, with an image size of 3x3 inches, is a window into a world that defies the ordinary, encapsulating a moment of creative genius in a compact space. The frame size of 8.5x8.5 inches houses the art in a manner that draws the eye inward, focusing the viewer's attention on the intricate details of the painting. Custom framed and matted by the artist himself, 'Goonie 030' is presented in a way that enhances its visual impact. The choice to personally frame the work suggests a level of intimacy and care that Hattori imparts to his pieces. This act of framing is not merely a practical measure but a continuation of the creative process, ensuring that the presentation complements the artwork's thematic content and aesthetic value. Naoto Hattori's Vision in Watercolor Naoto Hattori's work often transcends the conventional boundaries of street pop art and graffiti artwork, and 'Goonie 030' is no exception. The watercolor medium allows fluidity and softness that contrasts with graffiti art's often bold and stark lines. Yet, this very dichotomy elevates the piece, allowing it to speak the language of street art through a whisper rather than a shout. The subtle tonal gradations and the gentle pooling of hues in 'Goonie 030' demonstrate Hattori's deft hand and ability to convey depth and emotion within a confined space. While distinctively surreal, the subject of 'Goonie 030' maintains a passionate connection with the viewer that is frequently sought after in street pop art. The character depicted in the painting, with its endearing yet enigmatic features, serves as a conduit for personal interpretation, much like the transient and often interpretative nature of graffiti art murals adoring city walls. This piece, therefore, becomes a kind of visual poetry, a small stanza in the larger narrative of Hattori's artistic expression. Street Pop Art and the Intimate Scale The trend within street pop art and graffiti artwork has often leaned towards grandiosity in scale, with large murals and installations dominating the scene. However, 'Goonie 030' challenges this trend through its diminutive size, proving that impactful art is open to more than large canvases. In its compact form, this original watercolor painting invites a closer, more personal interaction, akin to reading a novel as opposed to viewing a billboard. In this intimate engagement, the viewer can truly appreciate the meticulous skill and delicate nuances that Hattori has woven into the work. The framing and matting performed by the artist serve to honor the personal scale of the piece, creating a boundary that distinguishes the artwork from the vastness of its surroundings. In a way, this echoes the ethos of street art, which often seeks to carve out a space for individual expression within the public sphere. 'Goonie 030', though housed within the private confines of a collector's domain, carries the spirit of street art in its very essence. The creation of 'Goonie 030' is a testament to Naoto Hattori's versatility as an artist capable of easily traversing the realms of street pop art, graffiti artwork, and surrealism. Through thl watercolor painting, Hattori invites viewers to reflect on the potential of small spaces to hold vast worlds within them. • Goonie 041 Original Watercolor Painting by Naoto Hattori

Naoto Hattori Goonie 041 Original Watercolor Painting by Naoto Hattori

Goonie 041 Original Watercolor Art Painting on Framed Fine Art Paper by Surreal Artist Naoto Hattori. 2013 Signed Original One-of-a-Kind Watercolor Mini Painting Framed Artwork Frame Size 8.5x8.5 Image Size 3x3. Custom Framed & Matted By Artist Naoto Hattori's "Goonie 041" and the Essence of Surrealism in Art "Goonie 041," an original watercolor painting by the surreal artist Naoto Hattori, stands as an embodiment of the delicate balance between realism and fantasy that defines surrealism. This one-of-a-kind piece, completed in 2013, is a masterful display of Hattori's ability to draw the viewer into a world that defies conventional boundaries. The artwork, measuring 3x3 inches within an 8.5x8.5-inch custom frame, is meticulously signed by the artist. Hattori's choice to mat and frame the piece himself adds an intimate touch, further personalizing the viewing experience. While typically not categorized within the traditional definitions of street pop art and graffiti artwork, "Goonie 041" resonates with the same spirit of freedom and expression that characterizes these art forms. Hattori's work often explores the subconscious, merging elements of the dream world with reality. The framed watercolor painting presents an image that, while small in size, is expansive in imagination, inviting the observer into a realm where the rules of the physical world are bent and reshaped by the artist's vision. Artistic Significance of "Goonie 041" Within Contemporary Art The significance of "Goonie 041" within the contemporary art scene lies in its juxtaposition of the meticulous technique of watercolor with the unpredictable nature of surreal subject matter. Hattori's skillful brushwork brings to life the textures and nuances of the figure, providing a stark contrast to the surreal elements that make his work distinctive. The composition of the piece, centered within the square frame, draws focus to the surreal figure, compelling the viewer to contemplate the story behind the image. Hattori's work, including "Goonie 041," contributes to a larger conversation about the intersection of various art forms and the ways in which artists can communicate complex ideas through diverse mediums. The painting's existence within a traditionally framed context does not diminish its connection to the more transient and public expressions found in street art. Instead, it highlights the versatility of surrealist art to find a home across a spectrum of settings and formats. In conclusion, Naoto Hattori's "Goonie 041" is a fine example of contemporary surrealism that shares an undercurrent with street pop art and graffiti artwork. The piece encapsulates the artist's profound connection to a deeper artistic narrative, one that delves into the realms of the surreal and the subconscious. Through "Goonie 041," Hattori invites us to explore the boundless possibilities of imagination, challenging our perceptions and encouraging us to see beyond the visible world.

Bask Wolf Like Me Original Acrylic Painting on Wood by Bask

Wolf Like Me Original Painting Acrylic on Mixed-Media Reclaimed Wood Panel by Bask Graffiti Street Artist Modern Pop Art. “The esthetic of my work is similar to the Detroit landscape. The re-purposed nature of my art plays off of panels, wood, signs, that once were proudly displayed. But over the years they stopped serving their intended purpose and thrown out. The inspiration behind the work I made for this show was Detroit's strengths, struggles, and landscape. I took the opportunity to move to Detroit fourteen years ago, but for a number of reasons beyond my control, my stay lasted only 4 years. However, that was long enough for the city to have a profound impact on my work as well as my consciousness towards social and political issues. And even though I haven't called Detroit home in 9 years, the impression it stamped on me is something I hope I never lose. And it was this appreciation for the influence that DETROIT has had on me, that inspired the work I made for the show.” -Bask

  • Lady With Sphinx Original Oil on Linen Painting by Aaron Nagel

Aaron Nagel Lady With Sphinx Original Oil on Linen Painting by Aaron Nagel

Lady With Sphinx Original Painting Oil On Linen Mounted To Wood With Frame by Aaron Nagel Graffiti Street Artist Modern Pop Art. 2015 Signed Original Oil Painting Framed by Aaron Negal Measuring 26x30 "'Lady With a Sphinx" was humbly modeled after the Leonardo DaVinci painting, "Lady With An Ermine." It is my second attempt at a painting modeled after a classic, the first being my version (of Bouguereau’s version) of the Piéta. I have always liked "Lady With An Ermine;" the lighting on the figure, the stark background, the lettering in the upper left-hand corner, and of course, the Ermine (because what the fuck is an ermine?!)Trying to get the reference photo looking similar was a challenge, but an enjoyable one, as I never have a concrete idea of how I want a reference to look, so there tends to be a lot of trial and error. This time, I messed with it until the pose and lighting were right, then just took a few hundred pictures there, with very subtle pose and expression changes. This piece was painted for the “Three Figures” exhibition at Maxwell Alexander Gallery in June of 2014. It was a 3-man show, with Jeremy Mann, Sean Cheetham, and myself. They are two of my favorite artists, so it was a huge honor to show with them." - Aaron Nagel

Tanuki Fighter Original One of a Kind Acrylic Painting Artwork on Fine Art Paper by Popular Street Graffiti Artist Nicole Gustafsson. 2014 Custom Framed & Matted Signed Original Image 3x3 Frame 8.5x8.5 Nicole Gustafsson's Artistic Vision Gustafsson's work, including "Tanuki Fighter," is often marked by an infusion of vibrant colors and imaginative elements that speak to the innocence of childhood fantasies and the complex narratives in urban street art. Her technique involves using acrylics—a medium known for its bright, opaque colors and quick drying times—allowing for the dynamic and layered compositions that have become her signature. The "Tanuki Fighter" is a testament to her skill in manipulating this medium, resulting in a visual spectacle that is as much a fine art piece as an emblem of pop culture. The "Tanuki Fighter" is an original acrylic painting on fine art paper by Nicole Gustafsson, whose work has significantly influenced street pop art and graffiti artwork. This particular piece, created in 2014, is a quintessential example of Gustafsson's unique aesthetic, which merges the whimsy of pop art with the raw edge of street art, creating a distinctive and recognizable oeuvre that has captivated a global audience. Depiction and Symbolism The painting depicts a tanuki, a creature often found in Japanese folklore, known for its mischievous spirit and shapeshifting abilities. Gustafsson has given this mythical creature a contemporary twist, portraying it as a fighter with a determined expression and a fighting stance. The choice of a tanuki as the subject matter is a nod to the playful and often fantastical themes prevalent in street pop art while also embodying graffiti artwork's transformative and rebellious spirit. The tanuki is presented in a simplistic yet expressive style, with attention to the textural details that give the character a lifelike presence. Its pose and attire are reminiscent of a sumo wrestler, adding a layer of cultural reference and humor to the piece. Using a monochromatic color scheme for the tanuki against a contrasting vibrant green background emphasizes the figure, drawing the viewer's eye directly to the subject. Composition and Framing "Tanuki Fighter" is not just notable for its subject and style but also for its presentation. The original image, measuring 3x3 inches, is custom framed and matted to an overall size of 8.5x8.5 inches. This deliberate framing choice highlights the artwork's intimacy and intricacy. The piece's scale, when paired with the boldness of its content, plays with the viewer's perception, demanding a closer look and personal engagement with the work. The framing choice also speaks to Gustafsson's understanding of her artwork's role as standalone pieces and as part of a larger narrative in someone's living space. A framed piece of art carries a different weight and presence compared to unframed street art, and "Tanuki Fighter" bridges these two worlds, bringing the raw energy of street art into the curated environment of home galleries. Cultural Impact and Collectibility As an original piece by a famous street graffiti artist, "Tanuki Fighter" holds significant value for collectors and enthusiasts of street pop art. Original works represent a tangible connection to the artist's vision and narrative, offering an authentic slice of the culture and era that produced it. Moreover, the piece's status as a one-of-a-kind artwork elevates its desirability, making it a sought-after item for those looking to own a piece of contemporary art history. The work's uniqueness is further solidified by Gustafsson's hand in its creation, with the artist signing the piece. This assures its authenticity and marks it as an integral part of Gustafsson's artistic journey. Collectors of such pieces often view them as investments, not just in financial terms but also as cultural artifacts that capture the essence of a particular artistic movement or style. In summary, Nicole Gustafsson's "Tanuki Fighter" embodies the playful spirit and cultural blending that defines street pop art and graffiti artwork. Its clever use of folklore, combined with a modern aesthetic and presentation, makes it a standout piece that captures the imagination and reflects the evolving nature of contemporary art. As an original, signed, custom-framed piece, it holds a special place within Gustafsson's body of work and the broader context of street-inspired art.

What Goes Up Original Spray Paint Acrylic Painting by Meggs One of a Kind Artwork on Canvas with Custom Reclaimed Wood Frame by Street Art Pop Artist. 2014 Signed Acrylic & Spray Paint Painting Original Canvas in Artist Hand Made Reclaimed Wood Frame Artwork Size 49x49. From Spoiled Rotten Show. Exploring the Dynamic Essence of Meggs' "What Goes Up" "What Goes Up" is an original acrylic and spray paint painting by the acclaimed street pop artist Meggs that encapsulates the dynamism and energy of his work. Created in 2014, this artwork reflects Meggs' signature style, which harmoniously blends street art's rawness with pop art's vividness. This one-of-a-kind artwork is a statement piece and a storytelling canvas that explores themes prevalent in Meggs' oeuvre, such as the constant struggle between opposing forces and the transient nature of success and failure. The painting measures 46x46 inches and is housed in a custom reclaimed wood frame handcrafted by the artist. Reclaimed wood adds an eco-conscious dimension to the artwork, reinforcing Meggs' interest in sustainability and the repurposing of materials. This choice of framing also accentuates the urban and gritty feel of the painting, resonating with the street art tradition of using found objects and spaces. Artistic Techniques and Visual Impact in "What Goes Up" Meggs employs acrylic and spray paint in "What Goes Up," showcasing his adeptness at using traditional and non-traditional media. The acrylic provides depth and texture, while the spray paint offers a sense of immediacy and spontaneity intrinsic to graffiti artwork. The painting is a cacophony of colors, bursting forth from a central point, suggesting an explosion of energy and creativity. The colors are not just randomly splashed across the canvas; they are meticulously layered to create a visual impact that is both chaotic and controlled. The artwork features a skull motif, a recurring element in Meggs' art, which often symbolizes the transient nature of human existence and the cyclical nature of life. However, in "What Goes Up," the skull is juxtaposed with vibrant colors and comic-style exclamations, which could be interpreted as a commentary on the superficiality of popular culture and the fleeting nature of fame and success. The skull seems to be disintegrating or exploding into an array of colors and shapes, a powerful visual metaphor for the inevitable downfall that follows a rise to the top. Cultural Commentary and the Essence of Street Pop Art The painting's title, "What Goes Up," hints at the adage "what goes up must come down," suggesting a narrative of ascent and descent. Meggs often infuses his Street Pop Art and graffiti Artwork with philosophical musings and critical observations of society. The work symbolizes the cyclical patterns of life and can be seen as a reflection of the transient nature of success or the hubris that often precedes a fall. The artist's use of text in the painting, rendered in a comic book style, adds a layer of communication with the viewer, inviting them to ponder the deeper meanings behind the vibrant facade. The piece is a testament to the artist's ability to navigate the space between gallery and street art, making it accessible to a diverse audience. The inclusivity of street art is evident in Meggs' work, where the public space becomes a canvas for dialogue, and the art becomes a part of the everyday urban landscape. "What Goes Up" is not just a visual spectacle but also a piece of cultural commentary, encapsulating the ethos of street art and its role in contemporary discourse. "What Goes Up" is a prime example of Meggs' impact on the field of street art and his contribution to the broader pop art movement. The painting manifests the artist's dedication to craft, concept, and commentary. Through the integration of various artistic techniques and the strategic use of reclaimed materials, Meggs has created an artwork that is both a visual feast and a conceptual powerhouse. The significance of Meggs' work lies in its ability to resonate with viewers on multiple levels. This work can be appreciated for its aesthetic qualities and ability to evoke emotion and provoke thought. As a piece of Street Pop Art and graffiti Artwork, "What Goes Up" embodies the spirit of this genre, which continues to push the boundaries of art and its place in society. Animal Street Pop Art & Graffiti Artwork

Animal Motifs in Street Pop Art & Graffiti Artwork

Animal imagery within street pop and graffiti artwork is a compelling conduit for many expressions, from activism to aesthetics. These forms, born from the vibrant heart of urban environments, have been leveraged by artists to shed light on critical issues and infuse the concrete landscape with life and color. Graffiti, with its roots stretching back to ancient civilizations, has evolved into a modern canvas that speaks to contemporary issues, including those affecting the animal kingdom. In the ever-expanding world of street art, the animal has become a symbol of activism and advocacy. Merging their passion for art with a mission for animal welfare, artists use graffiti and pop art as platforms to raise awareness about animal rights and conservation. Through the stark depiction of animals in distress or the celebration of their beauty, these artworks aim to provoke thought and stir the public's conscience. For instance, Banksy's "Sirens of the Lambs" delivers a powerful statement on the cruelty of the meat industry, while Andy Warhol's "Endangered Species" series spotlights the urgency of wildlife conservation.

Capturing Animal Essence in Urban Spaces

Not all animal-themed street art is steeped in somber tones; many pieces capture animals' whimsy and intrinsic beauty. Through the playful depiction of local fauna or monumental murals celebrating the majesty of wildlife, these pieces offer an oasis of natural wonder in the urban jungle. The animal form becomes a bridge connecting the viewer to the more humorous and delightful aspects of nature, as seen in the giant pigeon murals or the prominent depictions of household pets that bring charm and character to the streets. Animals are a rich source of inspiration in street pop art and graffiti artwork. They are not merely subjects but also messengers—carrying themes of environmental consciousness, reminding us of the planet's fragile beauty, and sometimes just providing a moment of fun and joy amidst the hustle of city life. These artworks demonstrate the enduring power of animals in art, whether as symbols of a cause or as embodiments of natural splendor. The versatility in the portrayal of animals within these artistic domains underscores a universal reverence for life in all its forms, making it a poignant and enduring theme in street art across the globe.
