"The Arrow Pulse was one of the many popular designs I made for my recent solo exhibition, Remix in Detroit. I decided to make a smaller-sized edition (5) of the Arrow Pulse arrows as this design is a popular and iconic style of the arrow. I had designed the cut files on my computer with Adobe Illustrator, then had them laser cut to ensure their perfection and unison in shape. After the cuts were made I individually removed each pulse and assigned it a specific color. What you see in the finished piece is a colorfully, composed wooden arrow pulse." - Above

We challenged ourselves to create the greatest and most efficient use of one recycled spray paint can. The flower bloomed naturally. This series is partially about us returning to our roots. When we started cutting these flowers we wouldn’t paint them as we often do now. We’ve been venturing into this raw approach with some of our other work. It feels right to introduce it with this series as well. The can popping process always produces a unique pattern inside the can because as the marble moves around inside it leaves its tracks on the wet paint. Each flower is cut by hand and no two flowers are exactly alike. Each one is completely unique. And every box we shipped had a custom paint job." - Canlove

Denial- Daniel Bombardier I Will Love You Until The End HPM Stencil Wood Print by Denial- Daniel Bombardier
I Will Love You Until The End Limited Edition Hand-Embellished Spray Paint, Acrylic, Stencil, Mixed Media On Cradled Wood Panel by Denial Graffiti Street Artist Modern Pop Art. 2015 Signed Limited Edition of HPM 5 Hand Embleshed Artwork Size 24x36 Canadian artist Denial and Australian-born Ben Frost have joined forces in a bold exhibition of new work that explores the boundaries of appropriation in confronting re-imaginings of our current dystopian society. Self-confessed ‘visual thieves’, both artists have had a long history of stealing and subverting the cultural icons that the advertising and consumerist world has thrust upon us to create new and pertinent interpretations that are as confronting as they are humorous. Denial and Frost formed an instant friendship after meeting in Canada in 2011 and have been creating engaging street and gallery work ever since. "Company of Thieves" sees their collaboration push further, with large and small-scale works referencing Pop Art, Graffiti, and the corporate world they rebel against. In the world of Denial, memory is essential because it is the basis of his work, as it nostalgically encourages the audience to engage with it. As a result, his art is as familiar as it is disturbing because it reveals the most unsettling parts of society, the ones we are in a “denial” of. No matter its controversial history, graffiti is less and less viewed as a form of vandalism.

Purchase Psychedelic Spiral- 01 Original Hand-Painted Multiple Spray Paint, Ink Mixed Media on Laser Cut Wood Panel ready to hang by Tavar Zawacki (Above) Graffiti Street Artist Modern Pop Art. "The Psychedelic series were made in conjunction with my recent solo exhibition Remix. All of the Psychedelic series was designed with an emphasis on a sharp visual contrast. It's similar to 'Op-art' (Optical Art) which makes your eyes trip out. It's an effect that alters your perception as if you were on Psychedelic drugs. Some of the Psychedelic designs I made were featured in Remix, and some of them I created specifically for this series. This particular 'Sunset Strip' design I made with more complexity for my solo exhibition Remix. The Remix exhibition was about interchanging and swapping different cut patterns of the same design, in different colors to achieve the final piece. The Psychedelic series achieves a similar effect but in a more basic style of blocking out colors and allowing the negative space to reveal itself." - Above

Icy & Sot Peoples Power Original Stencil Spray Paint Wood Panel Painting by Icy & Sot
Purchase Peoples Power Original Painting Mixed Media Stencil & Spray Paint on Cut Out Wood Panel by Icy & Sot Graffiti Street Artist Modern Pop Art. 2015 Signed Original Spray Paint & Stencil Painting on Cut-Out Wood Artwork Size 21x46 "Life Size" "American Dream is inspired by the homeless guy holding ag Starbucks cup and asking for money. There are a lot of homeless people in New York, but they are invisible in between skyscrapers. We painted him bigger than the Empire State Building so he can be noticed more." - Icy &. Sot Decoding the Visual Language of 'People's Power' The artwork titled 'People's Power' by the street artist duo Icy & Sot is a striking example of modern pop art that interweaves the raw intensity of graffiti with the engaging allure of stencil work. Created in 2015, this original piece was meticulously crafted using mixed media, predominantly stencil and spray paint, on a cut-out wood panel. The artists' choice of materials and their technique tell of their deep roots in the traditions of street pop art and graffiti artwork, where the use of spray paint is iconic, and stencils allow for sharp, repeatable imagery that can be rapidly executed in the often tricky environments of public spaces. Artistic Expression on Social Realities 'People's Power' resonates with the ethos of street art by boldly tackling socio-political themes. Icy & Sot's work often reflects a keen awareness of contemporary issues; this piece is no exception. The narrative behind the 'American Dream' — the inspiration for 'People's Power' — stems from the artist's observation of a homeless individual in New York City, cradling a Starbucks cup while begging for money. This poignant scene, set against the backdrop of towering skyscrapers, sparked the creation of an artwork that seeks to amplify the presence of the often overlooked and marginalized figures in urban landscapes. The Symbolic Imagery of 'People's Power' In 'People's Power,' the central figure is depicted as larger than life, overshadowing the iconic Empire State Building. This artistic choice elevates the subject, literally and figuratively, granting him a visibility that is usually denied in real life. The mixed crowd surrounding the central figure appears to be in solidarity, suggesting a collective uprising or a unified stand against societal issues. The vibrant colors splashed across the face of the central figure add a sense of vitality and perhaps a glimmer of hope amidst the stark black and white of the crowd. Technique and Form in Icy & Sot's Creative Process The technical prowess of Icy & Sot is evident in the stencil work's precision and the spray paint's controlled chaos. By opting for a wood panel as the substrate, the artists step away from the transient nature of street walls, allowing 'People's Power' to exist as a portable manifesto of their artistic and ideological stance. The cut-out form of the artwork disrupts the conventional rectangular canvas, giving the piece an almost sculptural presence that echoes the three-dimensional experience of encountering street art in the wild. Contextualizing 'People's Power' Within Street Pop Art 'People's Power' is more than a visually captivating piece; it is a cultural artifact that encapsulates the spirit of street pop art. Icy & Sot have successfully harnessed the expressive potential of graffiti artwork to communicate with a broad audience, transcending linguistic and cultural barriers. The artwork's accessibility is crucial to its impact, following the tradition of street art that speaks directly to the public, unfiltered by the gatekeeping norms of traditional galleries and museums. Impact and Legacy of 'People's Power' The legacy of 'People's Power' lies in its ability to confront and converse with its audience about uncomfortable truths. As with many seminal works in the street pop art genre, this piece's value is amplified by its relevance to contemporary societal discourses. Icy & Sot's commitment to addressing the uncomfortable facets of modernity is what positions 'People's Power' as not only an object of aesthetic admiration but also as a beacon of social consciousness in the realm of modern art.

Looking at the series now that is completely done, I couldn't be more stoked! When I had the idea for this new series of woodcuts I wanted to do a few different images and sizes from the last series. Purchase What Drones? Limited Edition Hand-Embellished Spray Paint, Acrylic, Stencil, Mixed Media On Cradled Wood Panel by Denial Graffiti Street Artist Modern Pop Art. 2015 Signed & Numbered Limited Edition of HPM Stencil 5 Artwork Size 48x30 Canadian artist Denial and Australian-born Ben Frost have joined forces in a bold exhibition of new work that explores the boundaries of appropriation, in confronting re-imaginings of our current dystopian society. Self-confessed ‘visual thieves’, both artists have had a long history of stealing and subverting the cultural icons that the advertising and consumerist world has thrust upon us, to create new and pertinent interpretations that are as confronting as they are humorous. "Company of Thieves" sees their collaboration push further, with large and small-scale works that reference Pop Art, Graffiti, and the corporate world they rebel against. Denial’s art is strongly political and social since the artist takes specific positions against issues, such as capitalism, consumer culture, and advertisements. More importantly, the artist is aware of his choices and motivations: “I like to think of myself as activist pop art. How I relate with cartoons and graphics is a lot easier than I do with photo-realistic stuff" Another aspect of Denial's work is humor. His work is satirical, which, by definition, means that it uses humor as a confronting mechanism.

I was exploring degradation and layering and also painting on found objects. The original piece belongs to my wife and she wont give it up!The original piece was created using a combination of acrylic paint and spray enamel. The artwork is painted on an old print that belonged to my Mother. I really liked the texture and weathering of the timber on the back so that’s the side I chose to paint. The cheesy 50’s print is still on the other side.At the time I was working with a lot of found objects and customizing my letter style to suit them. I have always used layering in my work to create depth and reference to the gritty street walls that were my original canvas."- Dvate

"'Time waits for no man' has long been the catalyst that has propelled man to make use of his conscious existence. Time is an observable quantity created by man to keep track of the motions of our mysterious Universe. Yet now, perhaps more than ever does man seek to use time to alleviate the pressures of an unexplainable existence through applications that measure and calculate the value of our time.Posts and likes on social networks, the stock market’s peaks and falls, little monitors in our hands, monitoring us, always counting, ticking up and down, drowning us in sensory overload. Making us believe that time can be tracked and controlled in a convenient algorithm. Disguising time in programs meant to objectify and symbolize our presence as a glorified status amongst the cosmos." by Andrew Leshin

Taylor White Contact Study 7 Original Colored Pencil Acrylic Drawing by Taylor White
Purchase Contact Study 7 Original Painting/Drawing Acrylic & Colored Pencil on 100lb Bristol Board Paper by Taylor White Graffiti Street Artist Modern Pop Art. "I started studying a form of modern dance called Contact Improvisation, and that study has opened me up to a new set of curiosities which I’ve been able to explore both physically in space, and visually on the page. It became about the point of surrender, of the sacrifice of the ego and all its trappings. To 'dance' on paper has been entirely mind-opening and I’ve tackled it with a renewed spirit. I’ve been playing with the use of fluorescents to give more of a vibrant mood to the images. I had a lot of fun playing around with the blues and reds in this piece, the push and pull of light and shadow and using vibrance and color to direct focus around the planes of the piece." - Taylor White

Cope2- Fernando Carlo Consistency 5 Original Spray Paint Acrylic Painting by Cope2- Fernando Carlo
Purchase Consistency- 5 Original Painting Spray Paint, Acrylic, Mixed Media on Cradled Wood Panel by Cope2 Graffiti Street Artist Modern Pop Art. In recent years Cope2 has been commissioned by Time Magazine, Converse, Adidas among others. His work has even crossed into the virtual realm with appearances in video games such as Mark Eckos: Getting up and Rockstar Games: Grand Theft Auto IV. During the mid-1990s Cope2 started slowly transitioning from the streets to the art scene of the galleries. At that time, street art was not as popular as it is in our days and the general public’s idea of it was still inextricably connected to ghettos, drug dealing, etc. The artist has never hidden his troubling past and avoids idealizing it, as a way to enhance his career and artistic persona. On the contrary, he mentions the following: “Oh man, there’s nothing to be proud of in hustling, but I had my first child at the age of 16, my son. So I had to make money to support him and his mother.

Sonic Bad Snoopy Bad Inc Original Mixed Media Street Sign Painting by Sonic Bad
Purchase Snoopy Bad INC Original Mixed Media Graffiti Artist Modern Pop Art on Real Metal Street Sign by Sonic Bad. 2015 Signed Original Spray Paint Mixed Media on Tin Metal Security Sign. Sonic BAD INC Snoopy Bad INC Artwork Size 14x10 Depicting Peanuts Red Barron Snoopy & Woodstock Bomber Stylistic Graffiti Holding Pistol Gun with Security Camera and Snowman. "Snoopy Bad INC" stands as a striking representation of modern pop art, capturing the essence of urban culture and rebellion. Crafted by the gifted hands of Sonic Bad, this artwork merges traditional pop culture icons with the gritty, raw energy of street art, culminating in an arresting visual narrative that challenges the observer to reflect on the complexities of modern life. Dated 2015, this piece is an original spray paint mixed media artwork rendered meticulously on a tin metal security sign. The choice of substrate is itself symbolic, as the once authoritative metal sign, meant to assert control and surveillance, is now transformed into a canvas of artistic expression and defiance. It's a nod to the transformative power of art, and its ability to reclaim and repurpose. Central to the artwork is the iconic figure of Snoopy, reconceptualized here as the Red Barron Bomber, an avatar of resistance. The character holds a pistol, possibly suggesting a challenge to authority or perhaps underscoring the idea of survival in an increasingly surveilled society. To his side, a security camera and a snowman are portrayed, elements that bring in layers of meaning – from societal watchfulness to the fleeting nature of life and art. Sonic BAD INC's decision to incorporate these elements reiterates the tensions of modern living, where innocence and nostalgia meet the hard edges of reality. In the grand tapestry of street, graffiti, and pop art, "Snoopy Bad INC" by Sonic Bad serves as a reminder of the power of art to both mirror and critique the world it inhabits. Through his unique lens, Sonic Bad beckons viewers to embark on a journey of introspection and discovery, all while celebrating the indomitable spirit of creativity.

Bask Thoughtcrime Ant HPM Stencil by Bask
Purchase Thoughtcrime Ant Limited Edition Hand-Painted Embellished Paint, Stencil, Acrylic on Wood by Bask Graffiti Street Artist Modern Pop Art. "These pieces are a continuation of my Thoughtcrime series. The Ant image is painted on a series of weathered panels. This set was completed within the past month. It’s hard to say how long they took to create because salvaging the panels from a variety of places over a long time is just as much of a part the art as laying down the paint on top of them. Each piece has it’s own history embedded onto itself. Each piece is hand crafted and each panel has been painted and processed by me. I like the idea of small production works that let people get a original piece of art for the cost of some prints these days.I have been saving these panels for a while and finally it was time to cut them down and make some art out of them. Paintings of the same stenciled image but each looking 100% original to itself. Each piece has it’s own distinct character and personality while keeping the repetition of the Thoughtcrime." - BASK

While my graffiti is generally limited to the street, I decided to showcase three original canvases exclusively for 1xRUN.As an artist, I have deep and passionate respect for the forefathers of the Pop Art Movement. Some of my greatest influence has come from Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein. They planted the seeds in the latter part of the 20th century which changed people's perception of art. It's remarkable when a handful of individuals can spawn a revolution that will continue for many years to come, well into the 21st century. They created a paradigm shift in how art was to be interpreted and became the legendary masters." - Sen2

Aaron Nagel Lady With Sphinx Original Oil on Linen Painting by Aaron Nagel
Purchase Lady With Sphinx Original Painting Oil On Linen Mounted To Wood With Frame by Aaron Nagel Graffiti Street Artist Modern Pop Art. 2015 Signed Original Oil Painting Framed by Aaron Negal Measuring 26x30 "'Lady With a Sphinx" was humbly modeled after the Leonardo DaVinci painting, "Lady With An Ermine." It is my second attempt at a painting modeled after a classic, the first being my version (of Bouguereau’s version) of the Piéta. I have always liked "Lady With An Ermine;" the lighting on the figure, the stark background, the lettering in the upper left-hand corner, and of course, the Ermine (because what the fuck is an ermine?!)Trying to get the reference photo looking similar was a challenge, but an enjoyable one, as I never have a concrete idea of how I want a reference to look, so there tends to be a lot of trial and error. This time, I messed with it until the pose and lighting were right, then just took a few hundred pictures there, with very subtle pose and expression changes. This piece was painted for the “Three Figures” exhibition at Maxwell Alexander Gallery in June of 2014. It was a 3-man show, with Jeremy Mann, Sean Cheetham, and myself. They are two of my favorite artists, so it was a huge honor to show with them." - Aaron Nagel

Ellen Rutt Space Is Only Noise That You Can See Original Mixed Media Painting by Ellen Rutt
Purchase Space Is Only Noise That You Can See Original Painting Mixed Media on Wood by Ellen Rutt Graffiti Street Artist Modern Pop Art. "Small Victories is a collection of moments. Those times, in young adult life in particular, when seemingly insignificant actions feel like big accomplishments that only you can truly appreciate-- Eating spinach twice in one day; remembering to floss; driving home sober; getting up on time for work after only two hours of sleep. The experienced simultaneity of the mundane and the meaningful, the trivial and the triumphant. These mixed media collage works are a brief exploration of those experiences through color, texture, and pattern. Behind the often abstract geometric compositions, there is always an underlying intimacy. Through a combination of digital and physical art-making techniques, my work continues to explore the relationship between art and design, as well as the influence that computers have on both what I make and how I think." - Ellen Rutt

Purchase California Dreams- Book & Original Drawing of Mouse Drawing Person, The Art of Stanley Mouse Hardcover Limited Edition Art Book by Stanley Mouse. 2015 Signed Original hand drawing on the first page in graphite pencil of a mouse-person hybrid drawing a stick figure, Stanley's logo, and his large signature. Drawing measures about 15x10 California Dreams Art Book & Original Drawing by Stanley Mouse is a definitive anthology charting the influential career of Stanley Mouse, a visionary artist whose psychedelic visuals became emblematic of the 1960s cultural revolution. Spanning over five decades, this extensive collection comprises 240 pages of Mouse's diverse and unceasingly inventive portfolio. Mouse gained acclaim for his arresting poster art, album covers, and T-shirt designs that he frequently created in partnership with Alton Kelley during San Francisco's cultural heyday and continued well into the 1970s. His work from this period encapsulates the vibrant ethos, exploratory spirit, and creative freedom of the era's shifting currents. Yet, "California Dreams" goes beyond Mouse's renowned contributions to the counterculture movement. It traces back to his roots in Detroit, where he honed his craft on hot rods and produced original airbrushed shirts and posters featuring fantastical creatures and flamboyant automobiles. His recent ventures into the fine arts are also showcased, revealing arresting landscapes and poignant figure studies that signify a new chapter in his artistic journey. The collection presents previously unpublished works, offering a rare view of the early stages and evolution of Mouse's most celebrated pieces, alongside insights into his archives. This book not only commemorates Mouse's legacy in the visual arts but also celebrates the breadth and depth of his enduring artistic expression. "California Dreams" stands as a testament to the enduring legacy of Stanley Mouse, an artist whose work has become a cornerstone of the pop art movement and whose influence can be seen across street pop art and graffiti artwork. This hardcover art book is not only a celebration of Mouse's storied career but also a showcase of his dynamic range as an artist, featuring his iconic illustrations that have captured the California spirit and the broader American imagination. What sets this limited edition book apart is the original hand-drawn illustration by Stanley Mouse himself on the first page. The graphite pencil drawing of a mouse-person hybrid engaged in drawing a stick figure is a whimsical self-reference and a nod to the artist's whimsical and subversive takes on popular culture. The Mouse, a recurring character in Mouse's work, is depicted with human-like features and expressions, adding a personal touch that blurs the lines between artist and artwork. Stanley Mouse's signature style, characterized by its fluid lines and psychedelic overtones, is evident in this drawing, measuring approximately 15x10 inches. His large, distinctive signature anchors the piece, a mark of authenticity and a symbol of his contributions to the art world. The book "California Dreams" and the accompanying original drawing provide a unique insight into the creative process of one of the greats in pop art. It's a collector's piece that captures the essence of an era defined by its boldness, rebellion, and artistic innovation. The legacy of Stanley Mouse continues to inspire street pop art and graffiti artists as they carry forward the torch of creating vibrant, engaging, and deeply connected to the cultural zeitgeist.

Purchase Diaspora Ono Original Painting Enamel and Acrylic on Plexiglass by Askew One Graffiti Street Artist Modern Pop Art. 2015 Signed Original Painting Artwork Size 20x14 Custom Framed "Back in April/May of 2014, I spent around 6 weeks based in Los Angeles making these paintings for my solo show at Known Gallery. I was living and working above the TSL store, trying my best to make enough work to fill the space which was a pretty daunting task. The pieces themselves are a combination of head portraits painted in what I would say are my signature style and then also a series of smaller abstract works that signify the idea of migration through the Pacific, both in a historic and recent sense. The model for the portraits was my friend Sereima aka Stelly, who’s Sydney-based and of Fijian descent. To me, she really represents the changing face of the Pacific in many ways. Following on from a really successful show in Sydney, ‘The Evolving Face’ I wanted to move away from the mugshot poses of the previous body and bring more attitude and exuberance and Sereima was perfect because she is the absolute embodiment of those things." - Askew Elliot O'Donnell, famously known as Askew One, is a self-taught artist born in Auckland, New Zealand in 1979. Purchase Old Souls 01 Original Hand-Painted Original on Laser Cut Wood Panel ready to hang by Malt Graffiti Street Artist Modern Pop Art. "Doing the woodcuts, I really dug them and how rad they looked. I just thought it'd be cool to take what I am doing on canvas and transfer it over. Each piece was done in early to mid-September 2014 using laser cut wood with acrylic and spray paint. They took a little over a week to finish. This is my first series of cutouts. I've been wanting to do this for a while, but haven't had the opportunity until now, so I'm stoked!" - Malt

Tavar Zawacki- Above Psychedelic Fusion 03 HPM Spray Paint Wood Print by Tavar Zawacki- Above
Purchase Psychedelic Fusion- 03 Original Hand-Painted Multiple Spray Paint, Ink Mixed Media on Laser Cut Wood Panel ready to hang by Tavar Zawacki (Above) Graffiti Street Artist Modern Pop Art.

Someday Baby 04 Original Silkscreen Painting by Greg Gossel "This series is inspired by a recent trip to Kyoto, Japan. Throughout my time in Japan, I visited a number of vintage book shops and second-hand stores, collecting a variety of graphic novels, songbooks, magazines, old newspapers, and maps. Upon returning to my studio I used these materials as not only image and type references for this new body of work, but also physical collage elements incorporated into each piece. The heavily layered imagery and vibrant color palette of this hand-printed series reflects the rich tradition and lively culture I experienced during my stay in Japan." - Greg Gossel

Canlove Quinqueflor Mordida #11 Original Recycled Spray Paint Can Sculpture by Canlove

Askew One Diaspora Tolu Original Enamel Acrylic Painting by Askew One
Purchase Diaspora Tolu Original Painting Enamel and Acrylic on Plexiglass by Askew One Graffiti Street Artist Modern Pop Art. Following on from a really successful show in Sydney, ‘The Evolving Face’ I wanted to move away from the mugshot poses of the previous body and bring more attitude and exuberance and Sereima was perfect because she is the absolute embodiment of those things." - Askew One Born in 1979 in Auckland, New Zealand, Elliot O'Donnell is a self-taught artist who is widely recognized in the street art community as Askew One.
