I’d like to see a fundamental assumption that ALL people deserve respect and human dignity. This applies to the universal meaning of dignity, to be valued, and respected for what you are, what you believe in, and how you live your life. I consider myself a global citizen, and though I think the nations serve a structural function, all people should be equal, and everyone’s life counts the same regardless of where they live." -Shepard Fairey

  • Alternative Facts Silkscreen Print by Shepard Fairey- OBEY

Shepard Fairey- OBEY Alternative Facts Silkscreen Print by Shepard Fairey- OBEY

Purchase Alternative Facts Hand-Pulled 4-Color Silkscreen Print on Speckletone Fine Art Paper by Artist Shepard Fairey Limited Edition Pop Art Artwork. 2022 Signed & Numbered Limited Edition of XXX Artwork Size 24x24 " We are at a critical moment for the preservation of democracy and non-partisan access to voting for all citizens of voting age. Between the Supreme Court, partisan gerrymandering shaping state legislatures, and the filibuster as a tool of obstruction in Congress, we are already facing tyranny by the minority. The forces dominating our politics do not reflect the values of most Americans. My print, Alternative Facts, addresses the mass confusion about truth that allows the parties who spread the big lie about the 2020 election (and many other lies) fomented the January 6th insurrection and are engaged in voter suppression and other anti-democracy schemes, to flourish unchecked. A portion of proceeds from Alternative Facts will benefit the ACLU in its legal fights against voter suppression and other attacks on the constitution." -Shepard Fairey Shepard Fairey's work is highly political and social, not only because he is incorporating politicians and slogans in it but more importantly because the artist is primarily interested in approaching as many people as possible, exhibiting his work in the covers of the books, which we read, in the music albums, to which we listen, and on the walls of the streets, where we walk. “If I put art in a daring spot, it’s more moving to the viewer and demonstrates my conviction.”, he says. After all, Fairey, in many cases, directly expresses his views on politics and society, whenever he is given the chance. For example, in the aftermath of the “Hope” poster, he commented the following: “Obama has had a really tough time, but there have been a lot of things that he's compromised on that I never would have expected. I mean, drones and domestic spying are the last things I would have thought [he'd support]”. The political aspect of his work can, also, be seen under the spectrum of Fairey’s activism and humanitarian activity. Many of his works have been created as part of activism campaigns or were sold to support causes relevant to the Arts, animal rights, poverty, medical research, the environment, etc. The artist, however, doesn’t identify himself as an activist: “People ask me if I’m an activist, and my answer is no. I’m an artist with a point of view, but I want to do my part to supplement activist causes I believe in. I feel fortunate to connect with people who find my imagery useful and help spread it.”

Screenprint on thick cream Speckletone paper. Numbered edition of 350.  "These “Factory Stacks” images combine the austere, angular power of factory architecture with graphic elements commenting on what we promote and embrace as a society even when those things are destructive. The fossil fuel industries have tremendous power economically, but we now know that not only are fossil fuel sources finite but that using them is terrible for climate change and, therefore, the eco-systems that sustain life on our planet. Unfortunately, due to the political power of these industries and public apathy about climate change, the government subsidizes the fossil fuel industries for billions even as they damage the environment. The government works for the citizens, so the choice is ours. Do we support endless power for wealthy fossil fuel corporations? Or policies that put the earth first with the planet before profits? Shepard Fairey- OBEY Open Minds Silkscreen Print by Shepard Fairey- OBEY

Purchase Open Minds 4-Color Hand-Pulled Limited Edition Silkscreen Print on Cream Speckletone Art Paper by Shepard Fairey Rare Street Art OBEY Pop Artwork Artist. Signed & Numbered Screen Print  OPEN MINDS 36 inches by 24 inches Edition of 675 February 3, 2022 This “Open Minds” print references the language used by the powerful fuel industry lobby to soften political and public resistance to fracking. Fracking is a form of gas extraction which beyond the carbon impact of the gas itself, contaminates groundwater, pollutes the air, and creates strains on water resources because of the high volume of water required for the fracking process. Open-mindedness about any of those detrimental impacts of fracking and other fossil fuel extraction is absurd if one cares about the environment, air and water quality, and global warming. Powerful corporations and their lobbyists spend exorbitant sums to distract from and discredit the science-based conversation about the environment. I’m all for open minds and open eyes when it comes to putting science and the welfare of the planet before corporate profits. A portion of the proceeds from this print will benefit Greenpeace to support its work to enhance environmental protections and combat climate change. – Shepard

Ron English Flush Giclee Print by Ron English

Ron English is an American artist who is known for his provocative, colorful, and often satirical works that combine elements of pop culture, advertising, and contemporary politics. He has been referred to as the "Godfather of Street Art" and has been influential in the development of street art and culture jamming. A giclee print is a high-quality, fine art digital print made using a specialized inkjet printer. The term "giclee" is derived from the French word "gicler," which means "to spray" or "to squirt." Giclee prints are typically created using fade-resistant archival inks and are printed on high-quality, acid-free paper or canvas, resulting in a print that has the look and feel of an original piece of art. The Flush Giclee Print by Ron English likely features the artist's signature mix of cultural commentary, humor, and surrealism. Shepard Fairey- OBEY Eyes On The King Verdict Silkscreen Print by Shepard Fairey- OBEY

Purchase Eyes On The King Verdict 4-Color Hand-Pulled Limited Edition Silkscreen Print on Fine Speckletone Art Paper by Shepard Fairey x Ted Soqui Rare Street Art OBEY Pop Artwork Artist. 2022 Signed by Shepard Fairey & Ted Soqui, Numbered 18x24 inches. Screenprint on thick cream Speckletone paper. Numbered edition of 600.  "I based this “Eyes on the King Verdict” print on photos taken by Ted Soqui during the LA riots of spring 1992. Ted has a long history of photographing activists and protests, which began after the “not guilty” verdicts on April 29, 1992, for the four officers who severely beat Rodney King. I especially love the central pic of a young woman protester in a Malcolm X hat contemplating the scene. I think it is important to consider the symbolic weight of the Rodney King verdict and the emotional impact on communities of color seeking justice and accountability. At the time, 30 years ago, I remember feeling enraged that such a blatant act of police brutality was going unpunished when it was captured on video. It is heartbreaking how frequently similar acts of violence and abuse of power by law enforcement have gone unpunished, even when caught on camera. I don’t ever condone violence or looting, but I understand why LA erupted in riots and protests after the King verdict. When people feel that the American system has failed them repeatedly, things can reach a boiling point. The urge to protest injustice and the right to do so are legitimate, even if looting is not legitimate. The LA riots were a tragic mixture. However, beware of those who try to conflate protest with “criminal agitation” or “inciting a riot.” When the system fails the people, it is nothing short of patriotic for the people to protest for a solution. Ted Soqui and I both signed the “Eyes on the King Verdict” print.” – Shepard

  • Uncle Scam Ad Flag Giclee Print by Ron English

Ron English Uncle Scam Ad Flag Giclee Print by Ron English

Purchase Flush Giclee Print by Ron English Artwork Limited Edition Print on Fine Art Paper Graffiti Pop Street Artist. 2022 Signed & Numbered Limited Edition of 30 Artwork Size 37x25 Uncle Scam Ad Flag Giclee Print is a work of art by Ron English, a contemporary American artist known for his thought-provoking, often satirical and subversive street art, paintings, and sculptures. English is famous for creating art that highlights the absurdity of modern society, often blending elements of pop culture, advertising, and politics. In this particular piece, the artist critiques consumerism and the advertising industry by combining elements of the American flag with a caricature of Uncle Sam, who is transformed into "Uncle Scam." The term "Uncle Scam" refers to the idea that the advertising industry often manipulates consumers and promotes excessive materialism, which can be detrimental to society as a whole. A giclee print is a high-quality digital printing method that is capable of producing vivid and detailed reproductions of artwork. This process uses specialized inkjet printers and archival-quality inks, which are applied to various substrates, such as canvas or fine art paper, to create a long-lasting and visually appealing print. The result is a reproduction that retains the original artwork's colors and details, making it a popular choice for artists and collectors alike.

Cleon Peterson TRUTH- What Have We Lost Silkscreen Print by Cleon Peterson

Purchase TRUTH- What Have We Lost Hand-Pulled 2-Color Silkscreen Print on Deckled 290gsm Coventry Rag Paper by Artist Cleon Peterson Limited Edition Pop Art Artwork. 2022 Signed & Numbered Limited Edition of XXX Artwork Size 18x24 "The TRUTH image ran in the New York Times right before the election in the opinion feature, What Have We Lost. The Devil Made Me Do it & Divided We Stand, United We Fall were both made on January 6th in response to the Faustian bargain that Trump and his accomplices made in designing the coup. Today we find ourselves at a crossroads; now, more than ever, is the time we need to come together, take a stand, exercise our voices, and fight for Truth and Democracy. Hopefully, daylight will cast off this right-wing authoritarian spell. I see these posters as markers of a historical time and feel a duty within to share my views. We’re all exhausted by politics, but we must embrace the moment and take action because the threat is fundamental; our democracy could be gone in the blink of an eye." - Cleon Peterson The connection of Peterson with street art is also an aspect of his work worth mentioning. Even though he has created numerous murals all over the world, the artist himself does consider himself a street artist: “I don’t think of myself as a street artist or somebody that does work in that vein, but I love the idea of doing large paintings that confront people.”. This is revealing of his motivation to make his art as accessible as possible, as a way to invite the viewers to interact with it and confront the subjects the artist is interested in addressing. This brings up the following questions concerning the art of Peterson: “What is the meaning of it? Does it have a meaning after all? If yes, is this pre-determined by the artist? In order to better understand the way meaning is created in the world of Cleon Peterson, it is essential to, primarily, understand the way he perceives the media as a field of allegations, unbased rumors, suppositions and outright lies. In the world that the artist has created and, in correlation with our own reality, media is a tool of manipulation in the hands of politicians, leaving us helpless and in the mercy of an exploitative authoritarian system.
