This is a multi-dimensional mixed media print in the sense the original was created as a conceptual digital-video piece. From this video experiment I was able to capture the final image to be translated into the print format. This was tricky breaking the American Flag that was printed on glass and capturing the right moments as it shattered, but as this process evolved so did the outcome. Natural Yellowing to Margins. "This is one of my favorite paintings I created years back. Bringing it back to life over 10 years later with these new materials has been a lot of fun. I almost feel like a kid again playing with these neon sharpies florescent paint pens and shining the black light on the print as I work. Once the light is off, these tags hide in plain sight. It's a little silly, but it does feel a bit magical. Each print is unique and one of a kind. I spent time with each one of these, enjoying the process." -Saber This particular piece, the "Last stop Black Light Giclee Print," is described as a favorite of Saber, revived with the employment of new materials. This process seems to have given the artist a rejuvenating, almost childlike joy. Saber’s approach, integrating neon sharpies and fluorescent paint pens, infuses the work with a playful yet elusive quality, where the artfully reveals itself only under the glow of a black light. This feature adds an interactive dimension to the piece. The prints' unique characteristic of hiding 'tags' in plain sight when not illuminated speaks to the clandestine nature of graffiti culture. Limited to a series of 35, each print has been signed and numbered, indicating a high level of exclusivity and collectibility. The detail of natural yellowing around the margins of the hand-deckled fine art paper contributes to the authenticity of each piece, suggesting a deliberate embrace of the natural aging process and reflecting the often ephemeral nature of street art. The size of the artwork, 23x17.5 inches, provides a generous canvas for Saber’s vibrant work, allowing the intricate details and the contrast between the fluorescent and the dark elements to stand out. The production of the piece in 2023 marks it as a contemporary artifact of street art's ongoing evolution, encapsulating both the history and the current state of the movement. Saber’s connection and time spent on each print ensures that while the edition is limited, no two pieces are exactly alike, each bearing the unique touch of the artist’s hand.

This interactive quality of the artwork invites viewers to engage with it actively, creating a personal connection as they experience the changing hues and textures. Saber has attempted to convey this effect through multiple images captured in shifting light, acknowledging the challenge of translating such a dynamic visual experience into static photographs. Saber's Multi-Media Artistic Approach Saber, a prominent figure in the graffiti street art scene, is renowned for his dynamic use of space and color. The juxtaposition of neon colors against the starkness of the black widow's form creates a startling contrast, emphasizing the spider's notorious reputation and inherent beauty. The use of mixed media is pivotal in Saber's work. It allows for a depth and texture that is not easily achieved through one medium alone. Exploring the Essence of Street Pop Art and Graffiti Artwork Street Pop Art and Graffiti Artwork represent a vibrant and dynamic fusion of underground street culture with pop art's colorful and bold aspects. This unique blend has emerged as a significant movement within the contemporary art scene, capturing the essence of urban life and its pulsating energy. The movement is characterized by its rebellious spirit, often breaking free from the constraints of traditional art forms and expressing a raw, unfiltered view of society. White Washed Purple Tag HPM Mixed Media Unique by Saber The piece titled "White Washed Purple Tag HPM Mixed Media Unique" by the artist Saber is a quintessential example of this art form. Saber, a renowned American graffiti artist, Ryan Weston Shook, has played a pivotal role in bringing graffiti and street art into the gallery space. Born in 1976, Saber remains an influential figure in the street art community, known for his distinctive style that often features a dynamic use of color, bold tags, and an edgy aesthetic that resonates with the ethos of street culture. The artwork itself is a hand-painted marker on fine art paper that exudes street art's raw energy and spontaneity. The mixed media piece is part of a unique original series comprising an edition of 40 hand-drawn mixed media works. Saber's use of spray paint, acrylic paint, markers, and permanent markers culminates in an artwork that is visually striking and tactile in its layered application of materials. The piece's dimensions, a modest 6x8, may seem small, but the impact of the artwork is substantial. The compact size encapsulates the immediacy of graffiti art, where space is often at a premium, and artists must convey their message concisely and powerfully. The thick fine art paper serves as a testament to the durability and permanence of the art form, much like the walls that bear the weight of urban storytelling. Artistic Significance and Cultural Impact Saber's "White Washed Purple Tag" is a testament to the cultural impact of street pop art and graffiti artwork. By taking the art from the alleys and train cars onto fine art paper, the artist has elevated the perception of graffiti, allowing it to be appreciated as a form of social commentary and as a legitimate and sophisticated art form. The mixed media aspect of the piece showcases the versatility and innovativeness of street artists, who often have to adapt to various environments and use available materials. The technique of whitewashing, often used by city authorities to cover up graffiti, is reappropriated in this piece to serve as a canvas, creating a stark contrast with the vibrant purple tag. • American Flag Black HPM Watercolor Unique Stencil by Saber

Saber American Flag Black HPM Watercolor Unique Stencil by Saber

American Flag Black HPM Watercolor Unique Stencil by Saber Hand-Painted Multiple on Watercolor Fine Art Paper Graffiti Street Artist Modern Pop Art. 2023 Signed & Numbered Mixed Unique Edition of 40 HPM Hand-Embellished Watercolor Stencil Artwork Size 5x5 Original Mini Painting of the US American Flag with Black Stripes. Deconstructing Symbols in Street Pop Art The 'American Flag Black HPM Watercolor Unique Stencil' by Saber is an evocative piece of modern pop art, reflecting the artist's nuanced approach to symbol deconstruction and cultural commentary. In this signed and numbered unique edition of 40 HPM (Hand-Painted Multiple) watercolor stencil artworks, the conventional image of the US American Flag is reimagined. Measuring 5x5 inches, the original painting presents the flag's iconic stripes in black, a bold departure from their traditional red and white. Saber's Technique and Style Saber's work is characterized by its layered complexity, both in the physical layers of paint and the conceptual layers of meaning. This piece, created on watercolor fine art paper, employs a stencil technique often used in street art to produce sharp, clean images that can be replicated multiple times. However, each piece in the series remains unique, a testament to the artist's hand that guides the process. The choice of watercolor as a medium adds a fluidity and softness to the otherwise stark imagery of the flag, suggesting a sense of ephemerality and change. The black stripes dominate the visual field, standing out against the subtle hues of the watercolor background. This alteration of the flag's color scheme may speak to many social and political interpretations, from mourning and protest to strength and unity. The work becomes a canvas for dialogue, inviting viewers to project their thoughts and emotions onto the flag's transformed image. Reflections on National Identity and Patriotism In street pop art, the flag is a powerful symbol that is loaded with meaning and often employed to express pride, dissent, or a complex combination of both. Saber's rendition of the American flag calls into question national identity and patriotism notions. By altering the flag's traditional colors, the artist prompts a reevaluation of what these symbols represent and how they resonate within the current socio-political climate. The graffiti street artist's decision to work with an emblem as potent as the American flag indicates a willingness to engage with themes that are at once universal and deeply personal. The flag, an icon meant to unite, becomes a site of divergence in Saber's hands, a space where the tensions and contradictions of American life are laid bare. Like much of street pop art, this artwork is not confined to the public walls and alleyways where graffiti is commonly found. It enters the more intimate spaces of galleries and private collections, yet it retains the raw, provocative energy that is the hallmark of street art. Saber, an American artist, navigates this transition with ease, bringing the spirit of the streets into the fine art arena without losing the potency of his message. In this unique series, Saber continues challenging the boundaries of street pop art and graffiti artwork, reaffirming his position as a leading figure. The 'American Flag Black HPM Watercolor Unique Stencil' is a testament to the enduring power of street art to provoke thought and inspire conversation. It is a bold statement in the ongoing discourse about identity, belonging, and the symbols we hold dear.

This 2023 collection, a numbered series of 25 unique hand-painted multiples (HPM), features miniature 3.5x3 inch drawings of black widow spiders rendered in a striking neon pink. These pieces are accompanied by hand-painted and tagged cardboard, combining natural motifs and urban art sensibilities. Saber's Mixed Media Mastery Saber, an artist whose works are embedded in the DNA of modern street art, utilizes a diverse range of materials such as pen ink, highlighter, marker, and colored pencils to bring these arachnids to life. The neon pink is arresting and symbolic, challenging the viewer's perceptions of danger and attraction. In the natural world, bright colors often serve as a warning, and in the urban landscape, they demand attention – a parallel that Saber skillfully draws upon in his artwork. The inclusion of hand-painted cardboard adds an element of raw authenticity to the series. Cardboard, a ubiquitous and often discarded material, is transformed into a valuable part of the art, questioning the hierarchy of materials and the value assigned to different mediums. This approach is emblematic of street pop art's capacity to elevate the mundane and to find beauty in the overlooked. Themes of Survival and Beauty Black widow spiders are creatures that evoke a mixture of fear and fascination. Saber taps into this duality, using the spiders as a metaphor for resilience and the delicate balance between beauty and danger. This narrative is particularly resonant within the context of street pop art and graffiti artwork, where the act of creation itself is often a form of survival and defiance. The spiders, set against Saber's signature tags backdrop, embody the tension inherent in street art – the push and pull between legality and expression, between the individual artist and the broader community. Through his neon pink black widows, Saber invites a dialogue about the interplay between instincts and urban environments and the instinctual drive to leave a mark through silk webs or spray paint.
