Ben Frost Know Your Product Blotter Paper Archival Print by Ben Frost

Know Your Product Blotter Paper Limited Edition Archival Pigment Print Art on Perforated Blotter Paper by Ben Frost pop culture LSD artwork. Australian contemporary artist Ben Frost is best known for his bold, irreverent Pop Art. His instantly recognizable take on pop culture twists up everyday iconography from the world’s biggest brands. Subverting meaning and messages from the mainstream media, Frost’s scything commentary on advertising, entertainment, and politics is both confronting and controversial. The essence of Frost’s commentary is established on the basis of subverting the meaning and the messages, promoted by the mainstream media. In other words and, as he has stated in the past: “The less you fill your mind with the trappings of advertising and bad television, the more space you have in your brain for things of value”. At the same time, his take on modern pop culture is equally compelling. Mainstream media, advertisements, and politics can be identified as some of his main fields of interest, which he utilizes and mixes up in a controversial formation. The word controversial is not used incidentally. What Ben Frost’s art is doing is, essentially, the appropriation and weaponization of imagery against the same system that gave birth to it.

  • Avenge Me Archival Print by Meggs

Meggs Avenge Me Archival Print by Meggs

Avenge Me Limited Edition Archival Pigment Prints on 310gsm Museum Fine Art Paper by Meggs Graffiti Street Artist Modern Pop Art. "This piece was part of my 2014 solo show ‘Spoiled Rotten.’ It’s part of a series of hand-painted heroes over sourced old-school style target posters, which are then torn and collaged with a combination of found billposters and hand screen printed retro comic collages. All made during my month-long residency with Inner State Gallery in Detroit. The split between traditional ‘bad guy criminal’ & Captain America reflects the classic comic narrative of Hero vs Villain, however, the distressed style & execution of the piece references the fragile nature of moral ideals and social justice in contemporary American society." - Meggs

Avengers Graffiti Street Pop Art

The Avengers is a popular topic in graffiti street pop art, with many artists using the characters and themes from the Marvel Comics series to create stunning works of art. Here are some ideas and techniques that artists might use when creating Avengers-themed graffiti street pop art. Avengers-themed graffiti street pop art can be a powerful and engaging way to celebrate these iconic superheroes and their world-saving adventures. With a range of techniques and styles to choose from, artists can create pieces that are both visually stunning and emotionally resonant for fans of all ages. Character Portraits: One of the most popular techniques for Avengers-themed graffiti street pop art is to create character portraits of the superheroes. Artists might use stencils, freehand drawing, or other techniques to create detailed, eye-catching images of characters like Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, and the Hulk. Team Scenes: Another common approach is to depict the Avengers as a team, with all of the characters in one scene. This might involve creating a large mural that shows the superheroes in action, or a series of smaller graffiti pieces that depict each character in a different pose or action. Action Scenes: Avengers-themed graffiti street pop art often focuses on action scenes, with the superheroes battling villains or facing off against each other in epic battles. Artists might use dynamic poses and exaggerated movements to create a sense of motion and energy in their pieces. Comic Book Style: Graffiti street pop art is often inspired by comic book art, and this is certainly true for Avengers-themed pieces. Artists might use bold, bright colors and thick outlines to create a comic book-style look and feel in their work. Urban Setting: Graffiti street pop art is all about the urban environment, and many Avengers-themed pieces are created with this in mind. Artists might use the walls of buildings, underpasses, or other public spaces as their canvas, creating works that are both eye-catching and accessible to a wide audience.
