  • OxyBunny Blotter Paper Archival Print by Ben Frost

Ben Frost OxyBunny Blotter Paper Archival Print by Ben Frost

OxyBunny Blotter Paper Limited Edition Archival Pigment Print Art on Perforated Blotter Paper by Ben Frost pop culture LSD artwork. Archival Pigment Print on Perforated Blotter Paper Size: 7.5 x 7.5 Inches Release: April 19, 2021 Limited blotter editions are hand-perforated by Zane Kesey & may vary slightly from the example shown. The essence of Frost’s commentary is established on the basis of subverting the meaning and the messages, promoted by the mainstream media. In other words and, as he has stated in the past: “The less you fill your mind with the trappings of advertising and bad television, the more space you have in your brain for things of value”. At the same time, his take on modern pop culture is equally compelling. Mainstream media, advertisements, and politics can be identified as some of his main fields of interest, which he utilizes and mixes up in a controversial formation. The word controversial is not used incidentally. What Ben Frost’s art is doing is, essentially, the appropriation and weaponization of imagery against the same system that gave birth to it.

  • Super K Mario Blotter Paper Archival Print by Ben Frost

Ben Frost Super K Mario Blotter Paper Archival Print by Ben Frost

Super K Mario Blotter Paper Archival Print by Ben Frost Limited Edition Fine Art Archival Pigment Print Art on Perforated Blotter Paper. 2023 Signed & Numbered Limited Edition of 100 Archival Pigment Print on Perforated Blotter Paper Size: 7.5 x 7.5 Inches Release: April 19, 2023 Super Mario Special K Video Game Limited blotter editions are hand-perforated by Zane Kesey. "Super K Mario Blotter Paper" is a provocative work of art by Ben Frost, a notable figure for juxtaposing pop art iconography with subversive contexts. This limited edition archival pigment print, released on April 19, 2023, swiftly stands out in pop, street, and graffiti art, stirring dialogue about culture and consumerism. Limited to 100, each piece is meticulously signed and numbered, affirming its uniqueness and collectible status. Frost's creation is a dynamic 7.5 x 7.5 inches print crafted on perforated blotter paper, which traditionally is associated with the distribution of LSD, a usage that the artwork cleverly alludes to without endorsing. The piece showcases the famed video game character Super Mario, depicted in vibrant colors, entwined with the word "KETAMINE" and associated pharmaceutical verbiage. This visual blend delivers a potent statement on the recreational drug culture while playing with the commercialization of beloved childhood figures. The 'Super Mario Special K' title fuses the name of the iconic Nintendo character with a slang term for ketamine, further pushing the boundaries of artistic expression and social commentary. Each blotter is hand-perforated by Zane Kesey, lending an element of handcrafted authenticity to the work and providing a tactile connection to the counterculture Kesey's father, Ken Kesey, was a part of. This process not only exemplifies the artist's attention to detail but also embeds each piece with a sense of personal touch and historical reverence. Ben Frost's art is not for the faint of heart; it confronts the viewer with nostalgia and shock, prompting a re-examination of the icons that populate our collective consciousness. The "Super K Mario Blotter Paper" is a testament to his ability to subvert mainstream symbols and present them back to society with a fresh, if not jarring, perspective. Collectors and admirers of this limited edition work receive more than a piece of art; they acquire a statement, a conversation starter, and a bold critique of the intersections between pop culture, art, and the pharmaceutical industry.

Untitled Simulator Interface III Blotter Paper Limited Edition Archival Pigment Print Art on Perforated Blotter Paper by J Demsky pop culture LSD artwork. "My first experience with the Lsd was if I remember correctly about 95-96. It was a small dose, probably a quarter of a "Lucas Duck" that were quite soft, the second was the same dose with a “Bicycle" and the experience was also smooth.Until one day the "Simpson double drop" appeared and it was different. We took half to be sure of the trip and we did not notice anything after almost an hour (at that time people also sold them fake) so we decided to take the other half, imagine what happened. We lost control and my friend ran away, I supposed to go his house and I did the same. But I remember it took me a while to open all three doors since the key was bent as if it were a magic trick. The first thing I did was turn on the TV and there was the movie "The Shining", I was only able to see some scenes but I remember the second time I watch it I thought they had deleted some scenes, you can imagine...Until dawn it was very intense. I think this was the last use I did LSD in a very long time. Now I can say that I have never dedicated myself to selling drugs, but I was very good at faking things and spent a while making "replicas" of sheets of some that were very soft (like “Marilyn Monroe’s" or "Strawberries”) I even used my own designs of things that he painted at that time.In these strange days I feel with a smile remembering those experiences and adding a double drop to these new sheets. :)" - J Demsky

The resulting prints are often abstract and colorful, and can be used for a variety of decorative and artistic purposes. To create a blotter paper artwork print, the artist first prepares the blotter paper by treating it with chemicals that will enhance its absorbency and ability to hold ink or dye. The paper is left to dry, and the resulting print is then carefully removed from the blotter paper. Archival printing techniques are used to produce high-quality prints of the original artwork. This involves using high-quality inks and paper that are designed to last for a long time without fading or deteriorating. Archival prints are also resistant to moisture and sunlight, which helps to preserve the artwork for years to come. • Tripping Devil Original Graphite Pencil Drawing by Naoto Hattori

Naoto Hattori Tripping Devil Original Graphite Pencil Drawing by Naoto Hattori

Tripping Devil is an original hand-drawn art drawing on framed, hand-deckled, aged art paper by Surreal Artist Naoto Hattori. 2012 Signed Original One of a Kind Pencil/Graphite Drawing Framed Artwork Frame Size 8.5x8.5 Image Size 3x5 Custom Framed & Matted By Artist. The Fusion of Street Pop and Graffiti Art in Naoto Hattori's Work The intersection of street pop art and graffiti represents a vibrant and often rebellious art form that seeks to challenge traditional aesthetics, present social commentary, and engage public spaces as a canvas for expression. Naoto Hattori's "Tripping Devil" is a profound example of this artistic intersection, although it differs from the conventional spray-painted murals on city walls. This 2012 original pencil/graphite drawing is a testament to the diverse techniques and materials employed within the genre, bridging the raw spirit of street art with the meticulous skills of classical drawing. Hattori's piece is delicately framed, sized at 8.5x8.5 inches, with the image measuring 3x5 inches. The artist crafted the custom frame and matting, underscoring the personalized touch and attention to detail that Hattori brings to his work. The art paper is hand-deckled and aged, a choice that lends an additional layer of texture and a sense of historical depth to the piece. This material selection is particularly poignant, as it imbues the artwork with an ancient quality that contrasts sharply with the typically ephemeral nature of street and graffiti art. Naoto Hattori's Unique Aesthetic within Street Pop Art Naoto Hattori's oeuvre is often characterized by dream-like surrealism, where fantastical creatures and morphed figures challenge the viewer's perception of reality. "Tripping Devil" is no exception. The drawing features a creature with a human-like face and a body that transitions into an octopus-like form. This blending of the human and the surreal is a hallmark of Hattori's style and speaks to the transformative potential of street pop art and graffiti artwork. The stark monochromatic palette of graphite focuses on the intricate details and shading that bring the "Tripping Devil" to life. Despite being contained within a frame, the artwork carries the spirit of street pop art, often characterized by a bold defiance of boundaries and an embrace of the unconventional. Hattori's systematic approach to drawing parallels the deliberate and thoughtful techniques used by street artists and graffiti writers to create their pieces, albeit on a different scale and medium. Naoto Hattori and the Collectibility of Street Pop Art Collectors and enthusiasts of street pop art and graffiti artwork are increasingly seeking pieces to be displayed within the home, transitioning from public spectacle to personal treasure. Hattori's "Tripping Devil" exemplifies this trend, offering the art market a one-of-a-kind piece that encapsulates the essence of street art in a form that is both collectible and suited for private exhibition. The artist's signature on the piece is a seal of authenticity and a bridge between the artist and the collector. The originality of the "Tripping Devil" is paramount. In a domain where mass production and replication are commonplace, Hattori's commitment to creating a singular original work elevates the piece's value and appeal. The meticulous nature of the work, combined with its unique presentation on aged art paper, creates a dialogue between the transient nature of street art and the enduring quality of fine art collecting. The Cultural Relevance of Hattori's Artistry In the broader context of street pop art and graffiti artwork, Hattori's "Tripping Devil" stands out as a cultural artifact that embodies the innovative spirit of these art forms. While street pop art often conveys messages about popular culture and societal issues, Hattori's work delves into the psyche, exploring themes of identity, consciousness, and the human condition through a surrealistic lens. This piece, while not displayed in a public space, continues the tradition of street pop art and graffiti artwork with its aim to provoke thought and evoke emotion. The surreal elements invite interpretation and reflection, much like the larger-than-life murals and tags in urban environments. Hattori's "Tripping Devil" is a reminder that the heart of street art lies not only in its location but also in its ability to connect with viewers on a profound level, challenging perceptions and encouraging a deeper engagement with the visual narrative. Naoto Hattori's "Tripping Devil" is an exquisite example of the potential for cross-pollination between street pop art, graffiti artwork, and traditional drawing techniques. It stands as a testament to the artist's skill and the versatility of street-inspired art. As this piece demonstrates, the value of street pop art and graffiti artwork extends beyond the city's walls, finding a place within the collections of art lovers who appreciate the nuanced blend of rebellion, craftsmanship, and narrative depth that these genres offer.

  • Speedy On Adderall Blotter Paper Archival Print by Ben Frost

Ben Frost Speedy On Adderall Blotter Paper Archival Print by Ben Frost

Speedy On Adderall Blotter Paper Archival Print by Ben Frost Limited Edition Fine Art Archival Pigment Print Art on Perforated Blotter Paper. 2023 Signed & Numbered Limited Edition of 100 Archival Pigment Print on Perforated Blotter Paper Size: 7.5 x 7.5 Inches Release: April 19, 2023 Speedy Gonzales Looney Tunes Limited blotter editions are hand-perforated by Zane Kesey. The "Speedy On Adderall Blotter Paper Archival Print" is another provocative piece by contemporary artist Ben Frost, known for his critical and vibrant works that often incorporate elements of pop culture and consumerism. Released alongside its counterpart on April 19, 2023, this limited edition piece similarly presents a stark commentary on the intersection of medication, in this case, Adderall, and cartoon characters, with Speedy Gonzales of Looney Tunes fame taking the spotlight. Limited to a mere 100 signed and numbered editions, this artwork is printed on 7.5 x 7.5 inches perforated blotter paper, a material choice that is emblematic of Frost's distinctive approach to art creation. The medium is particularly notable for its historical association with the distribution of substances, thereby intensifying the print's dialogue about pharmaceutical consumption and its prevalence in society. Speedy Gonzales, the "fastest mouse in all Mexico," is a fitting character for this work, bringing into focus the drug's intended effects on attention and speed of cognitive processes. By placing this animated icon on a background that mimics a prescription for Adderall, a medication used to treat ADHD and narcolepsy, Frost not only showcases his hallmark juxtaposition of innocence with more adult themes but also casts a light on the sometimes frivolous use of prescription stimulants in today's fast-paced lifestyle. Each print is hand-perforated by Zane Kesey, adding a layer of authenticity and craft that contrasts with the otherwise mass-produced nature of the subjects depicted. In the realms of pop, street, and graffiti art, Frost's work is both a critique and a celebration of the culture it represents. This piece, much like other works by the artist, invites viewers to question the narratives fed to us by the media and pharmaceutical companies and encourages a dialogue on the cultural implications of these narratives. "Speedy On Adderall" is more than just a piece of fine art; it is a cultural statement, encapsulating concerns about mental health, the ethics of drug use, and the pervasive nature of animated characters in shaping our understanding of the world. Collectors and enthusiasts who acquire this print not only get a unique piece of art but also engage with the broader conversations that are central to Frost's artistic agenda.

  • Word Games Blotter Paper Archival Print by Ben Frost

Ben Frost Word Games Blotter Paper Archival Print by Ben Frost

Word Games Blotter Paper Limited Edition Archival Pigment Print Art on Perforated Blotter Paper by Ben Frost pop culture LSD artwork. Australian contemporary artist Ben Frost is best known for his bold, irreverent Pop Art. His instantly recognizable take on pop culture twists up everyday iconography from the world’s biggest brands. Subverting meaning and messages from the mainstream media, Frost’s scathing commentary on advertising, entertainment, and politics is both confronting and controversial.

  • Bugged Out Original Acrylic Painting by Ben Frost

Ben Frost Bugged Out Original Acrylic Painting by Ben Frost

Bugged Out Original One of a Kind Acrylic Painting Artwork on Marijuana Test Packaging by Popular Street Graffiti Artist Ben Frost. Signed Original Warner Brothers Loony Toons Bugs Bunny Weed Tests Acrylic on At-Home Marijuana Drug Test Box Size: 7.3125 x 5.375 Inches Release: November 26, 2021 Depicting Bugs Bunny from Looney Tunes Cartoon TV Fame on a Real upcycled Marijuana Drug Test Box. Ben Frost's innovative artistry consistently pushes the boundaries of contemporary street and graffiti art. A prime example of this can be found in his "Bugged Out" piece, an original acrylic painting masterfully created on an actual at-home marijuana drug test package. This intriguing artwork measures 7.3125 x 5.375 inches and was unveiled on November 26, 2021. Drawing from the rich pop culture tapestry, Frost chose to depict the iconic Bugs Bunny from Warner Brothers' beloved Looney Tunes series. The mischievous smile and familiar pose of the cartoon rabbit is instantly recognizable, offering a dash of nostalgia. However, it's the contrast of this playful character with the serious undertones of a marijuana drug test that creates a powerful visual and conceptual juxtaposition. This choice stimulates conversation about societal norms, substance use, and the evolving landscape of popular culture. Using an upcycled drug test box as his canvas, Frost challenges the traditional paradigms of art. It speaks to the ethos of street and graffiti art, where unconventional mediums are often embraced to make bold statements. The decision to pair Bugs Bunny with this particular backdrop is not merely aesthetic; it invites viewers to ponder the interplay between recreational substances and the entertainment world and how perceptions change over time. In "Bugged Out", Ben Frost has once again demonstrated his uncanny ability to intertwine cultural icons with contemporary issues, delivering a piece that resonates on multiple levels and solidifying his reputation as a visionary in street art.

The deck is a homage to the character of Tony Montana, a figure whose pursuit of the American Dream through the darkest avenues of crime has left an indelible mark on cinema and popular culture. Drug

The use of drugs as a theme in graffiti street art is not uncommon, and has been prevalent in urban art culture for decades. Graffiti artists often use drug-related imagery and symbolism to comment on social issues such as addiction, drug abuse, and the war on drugs. For example, some street artists create artwork depicting the negative effects of drug use, such as ruined lives, health problems, and social isolation. Others may use drugs as a symbol of rebellion against authority or as a way to express their counter-culture views. It's worth noting that not all graffiti art related to drugs is necessarily advocating or glorifying drug use. Some artists may use the topic as a means of raising awareness and sparking conversations around issues related to drug abuse and addiction. Graffiti street art related to drugs can be a way for artists to express their opinions and commentary on social issues, and can serve as a powerful tool for raising awareness and starting important conversations.
