Indivisible HPM Limited Edition Hand Pulled 4-Color Serigraph Print on Coventry Rag Archival Paper by Saber Graffiti Street Artist Modern Pop Art. This is a large print. -40"x28" in -Serigraph/ mixed media, spray paint, pencil on Coventry Rag archival paper -Each print is unique with spraypaint and pencil -Hand deckled edges "This print was an experiment from start to finish. This is a multi-dimensional mixed media print in the sense the original was created as a conceptual digital-video piece. From this video experiment I was able to capture the final image to be translated into the print format. This was tricky breaking the American Flag that was printed on glass and capturing the right moments as it shattered, but as this process evolved so did the outcome. I really went all out on these with the hand-touching. Within the print layers are raw spray-paint tags buried under multi-colored split fountains. I also penciled and spray-painted on top of the prints weaving these colors and gestures through the image." -Saber

Saber Laststop Black Light Giclee Print by Saber

Laststop Black Light Giclee Print by Saber Artwork Limited Edition Print on Hand Deckled Fine Art Paper Graffiti Pop Street Artist. 2023 Signed & Numbered Limited Edition of 35 Artwork Size 23x17.5. Natural Yellowing to Margins. "This is one of my favorite paintings I created years back. Bringing it back to life over 10 years later with these new materials has been a lot of fun. I almost feel like a kid again playing with these neon sharpies florescent paint pens and shining the black light on the print as I work. Once the light is off, these tags hide in plain sight. It's a little silly, but it does feel a bit magical. Each print is unique and one of a kind. I spent time with each one of these, enjoying the process." -Saber This particular piece, the "Last stop Black Light Giclee Print," is described as a favorite of Saber, revived with the employment of new materials. This process seems to have given the artist a rejuvenating, almost childlike joy. Saber’s approach, integrating neon sharpies and fluorescent paint pens, infuses the work with a playful yet elusive quality, where the artfully reveals itself only under the glow of a black light. This feature adds an interactive dimension to the piece. The prints' unique characteristic of hiding 'tags' in plain sight when not illuminated speaks to the clandestine nature of graffiti culture. Limited to a series of 35, each print has been signed and numbered, indicating a high level of exclusivity and collectibility. The detail of natural yellowing around the margins of the hand-deckled fine art paper contributes to the authenticity of each piece, suggesting a deliberate embrace of the natural aging process and reflecting the often ephemeral nature of street art. The size of the artwork, 23x17.5 inches, provides a generous canvas for Saber’s vibrant work, allowing the intricate details and the contrast between the fluorescent and the dark elements to stand out. The production of the piece in 2023 marks it as a contemporary artifact of street art's ongoing evolution, encapsulating both the history and the current state of the movement. Saber’s connection and time spent on each print ensures that while the edition is limited, no two pieces are exactly alike, each bearing the unique touch of the artist’s hand.

Saber> Pop Artist Graffiti Street Artworks

Emergence and Evolution of Saber's Artistry

Graffiti art, a dynamic form of street pop art, has given rise to many influential figures, one of whom is the artist known as Saber. His work, characterized by its vibrant energy, complex forms, and raw power, has transformed public spaces and the perception of graffiti as an art form. A pioneer in his own right, Saber's contributions to the street art landscape have been significant, bringing graffiti into the spotlight and championing it as a legitimate and expressive art medium. Saber emerged on the scene in the 1990s, quickly gaining notoriety for his ambitious and large-scale works that adorned the urban landscapes of Los Angeles. His iconic piece on the concrete banks of the LA River is one such example. It was once considered one of the most prominent graffiti pieces in the world. Not just the size but the intricate and layered style of his work captivated both onlookers and fellow artists alike. This monumental work signals that graffiti was no longer an underground movement but a force of visual impact and artistic intent.

The Style and Substance of Saber's Graffiti

The style of Saber is distinguished by its unique blend of aggressive lettering with a fluidity that defies the often-rigid urban canvases it occupies. Utilizing a spectrum of colors and masterful control of aerosol paint, Saber's pieces are more than just tags or throw-ups; they are intricate works that demand attention and respect. His pieces often incorporate a sense of movement and depth that make them stand out in the sprawling cityscapes they inhabit. The scale and complexity of his work not only push the boundaries of traditional graffiti but challenge the viewer's understanding of public art.

Through his work, Saber challenges viewers to see the world around them through a different lens that recognizes street art's beauty and legitimacy.
