Victo Ngai

Victo Ngai is a contemporary illustrator and artist known for her intricate and imaginative illustrations that often incorporate vibrant colors, intricate patterns, and fantastical elements. Ngai was born in Hong Kong and raised in Shenzhen, China, before moving to the United States to attend college. Ngai earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in illustration from Rhode Island School of Design in 2010 and went on to work as a freelance illustrator, creating editorial illustrations for publications such as The New York Times, The New Yorker, and The Wall Street Journal. Ngai has also created book covers and illustrations for clients such as Penguin Random House, Scholastic, and HarperCollins. Ngai's artwork has been recognized by numerous industry organizations, including the Society of Illustrators and the American Illustration Awards. In 2019, she was named one of Forbes' 30 Under 30 in Art and Style. Ngai currently lives and works in Los Angeles, California.
