Captain America HPM Spray Paint Silkscreen Print by Mr. Brainwash- Thierry Guetta Mixed Media Screen Print on Deckled Fine Art Paper Limited Edition Pop Street Art Artwork. 2018 Signed Custom Framed Spray Paint, Acrylic Paint Mixed Media HPM Embellished Artwork Size 36.5x48.5. Stylistic Comic Book Cover of Marvel Comics Superhero Captain America with Tons of Colorful Spray Paint & Paint Hand-Embellished. Custom Ornate Antiqued hammered Style Bronze Colored Frame Size 46.5x58.5 Thierry Guetta's Artistic Interpretation of Captain America In Street Pop Art and Graffiti Artwork, 2018 witnessed an extraordinary fusion of comic book heroism and urban visual language with Thierry Guetta, known in the art world as Mr. Brainwash, presenting his unique creation, "Captain America." This piece exemplifies the daring blend of classic superhero imagery with the raw, expressive power of street art techniques. Thierry Guetta's work frequently disrupts the conventional boundaries between high art and popular culture, drawing upon familiar symbols from our collective consciousness and reimagining them through a lens of gritty realism and vibrant abstraction. In "Captain America," Guetta showcases his distinctive style of high-energy, mixed-media artistry, which has become a hallmark of his oeuvre. This stunning, hand-embellished silkscreen print brings the iconic Marvel Comics superhero to life on a deckled fine art paper background. The dynamic use of spray and acrylic paints further accentuates the artwork, which drapes the superhero in a cascade of vivid, dripping color. This is not just a representation of Captain America; it is an embodiment of the character's essence, rendered through the prism of street art sensibility.  Composition and Craftsmanship in "Captain America" Guetta's "Captain America" represents the artist's skill in manipulating form and content to deliver a powerful visual statement. The composition borrows the layout of a stylistic comic book cover, yet it is fractured and reassembled with a controlled chaos characteristic of Guetta's work. The artwork is a limited edition piece carrying the artist's signature, which attests to its authenticity and the prestige of owning a Guetta original. The size of the artwork, measuring 36.5x48.5 inches, provides a grand canvas for Guetta's explosive creativity. In contrast, the custom ornate antiqued hammered-style bronze-colored frame, sizing 46.5x58.5 inches, gives it a sturdy and majestic enclosure. The impact of Street Pop Art, as seen in Guetta's "Captain America," is profound, signaling a shift in how contemporary society consumes and appreciates art. Through the lens of this genre, icons like Captain America are not merely subjects to be depicted; they are canvases onto which the complexities of our time are projected. Guetta's work, with its thick layers of paint and dramatic splatters, challenges the viewer to see beyond the surface to engage with the symbols of our culture in a way that is both critical and celebratory. Collecting and Valuing Guetta's Street Pop and Graffiti Artwork As a cultural artifact, "Captain America" carries significant weight. The superhero is an emblem of justice, freedom, and the American spirit, ideals consistently resonating with audiences worldwide. Guetta's interpretation does not shy away from these connotations but embraces and amplifies them. By applying the anarchic motifs of street art to this symbolic figure, Guetta invites discourse on the role of such heroes in today's society. The result is an artwork that is as thought-provoking as visually arresting. Collectors and fans of art and comic book lore are drawn to pieces like Guetta's "Captain America" for their aesthetic appeal, investment potential, and cultural resonance. The convergence of street art's accessibility and pop art's mass appeal has created a fertile ground for artists like Guetta to flourish. His works, particularly those that engage with iconic figures, become not just art to be hung on a wall but conversations to be had, questions to be asked, and histories to be written. Thierry Guetta's "Captain America" vividly illustrates the power of street pop art and graffiti artwork to communicate, revolutionize, andmemorialize. It is a piece that captures the zeitgeist, a piece that is as much about the storied past of a beloved superhero as it is about the ongoing narrative of street art's place in the annals of art history. As Guetta's work continues to intrigue and inspire, it is a poignant reminder of the evolving dialogue between art and society. This conversation is rendered in bright colors, bold strokes, and the indelible ink of a silkscreen print.

This 18-color lithograph, measuring 40 by 28 inches, is printed on BFK Rives 270g paper featuring deckled edges. Each print is accompanied by a digital certificate of authenticity provided by Versiart and features the Idem publishing chop in the lower left corner. The Idem Studio was established within a 15,000-square-foot, two-story workshop at 49 rue de Montparnasse. Originally built in 1881 by printer Eugene Dufrenoy, the workshop was designed to house his lithographic presses. In its early days, the facility relied on 19th-century flat machines powered by belt-driven propeller shafts and a steam boiler. The space was later occupied by the Michard Printing Company, which specialized in crafting vibrant, special edition maps. In 1976, Fernand Mourlot acquired the workshop and transformed it into a fine art printshop. Throughout its history, the workshop has seen a revival of lithography, with craftsmen collaborating closely with esteemed artists such as Pablo Picasso, Henri Matisse, Alberto Giacometti, Joan Miró, and Marc Chagall. Today, the printshop is dedicated to contemporary artists like Sophie Calle, JR, William Kentridge, David Lynch, Paul McCarthy, and Raymond Pettibon. Lithographs at Idem Studio are created by drawing an image on a flat stone or transferring it onto aluminum plates. The image is then treated with water and an oil-based ink that is rolled across the surface. Paper is placed atop the matrix and run through a press, transferring the ink onto the paper to form the final lithograph. The process results in a rich, dense layer of ink, producing an exceptional final piece. Now known as Idem, the Mourlot company stands as one of the oldest printing houses still utilizing traditional lithography techniques.

Carmel Custard Flow Limited Edition 4-Color Hand-Pulled Silkscreen Print on Mohawk Fine Art Paper by Dvate Graffiti Street Artist Modern Pop Art. "The print is based of an original artwork that was produced a few years back for a group show at our old gallery PerSquareMetre. I was exploring degradation and layering and also painting on found objects. The original piece belongs to my wife and she won't give it up! The original piece was created using a combination of acrylic paint and spray enamel. The artwork is painted on an old print that belonged to my Mother. I really liked the texture and weathering of the timber on the back so that’s the side I chose to paint. The cheesy 50’s print is still on the other side. At the time I was working with a lot of found objects and customizing my letter style to suit them. I have always used layering in my work to create depth and reference to the gritty street walls that were my original canvas."- Dvate

Signed and numbered in a limited edition of 1000, this 1985 artwork, measuring 16x9.5 inches, captures the whimsical essence of carousel horses in a style that resonates with the playful and evocative spirit of street pop art and graffiti. The Vintage Carousel: An Emblem of Pop Artistry Carousels, with their ornate designs and historical significance, have long been a subject of fascination in the arts. Hulgan's portrayal of these majestic creatures in "Carousal Capers 3" is a homage to the golden age of amusement, where the carousel symbolized joy, nostalgia, and the circular dance of life. The piece radiates a sense of timelessness, akin to the enduring nature of street art that captures the essence of cultural moments and preserves them on city walls and canvases. The lithograph's vintage aesthetic and Hulgan's choice of a warm color palette impart a sense of history reminiscent of how street art often incorporates elements of the past to create new narratives. Each horse's distinct adornments and poised stance tell a silent story, inviting viewers to engage with the artwork's inherent sense of play and fantasy. Reflections of Street Art in Lithographic Expression While "Carousal Capers 3" may initially seem distant from the grit of graffiti and the pop of street art, a closer look reveals a shared lineage. Lithography, much like street art, is a democratic art form, allowing for the reproduction and dissemination of works to a broad audience. Hulgan's lithograph, with its careful layering of inks and hand-pulled technique, shares the meticulous craftsmanship and bold visual impact of the best street murals. Furthermore, the carousel's embodiment of communal memory and shared public space echoes the collective experience of street art, where images become part of the communal consciousness. Hulgan's work celebrates this shared visual heritage, encapsulating the joy and artistry of a bygone era while speaking to contemporary tastes and sensibilities. Mary Hulgan's "Carousal Capers 3" stands as a testament to the power of printmaking in capturing the spirit of an era and the joy of simple pleasures. With its limited edition status, the artwork becomes an accessible treasure, a piece of historical trance that can be owned and cherished. It is a reminder that art, like a carousel, is cyclical, ever-turning, and always returning to the hearts of those who cherish its beauty and wonder.

  • Castle Original Mixed Media Painting by Adam Caldwell

Adam Caldwell Castle Original Mixed Media Painting by Adam Caldwell

Castle Original One of a Kind Mixed Media & Oil Painting Artwork on Canvas by Modern Pop Dystopian Artist Adam Caldwell. 2022 Signed 11x14 Oil Mixed Media on Canvas Original Painting Ready to Hang Artwork. Adam Caldwell's Castle A Convergence of Chaos and Order in Art "Castle," an original mixed media and oil painting on canvas by Adam Caldwell, is a profound one-of-a-kind artwork that captures the intricate balance between chaos and order—a recurring theme in Caldwell's work as a modern pop dystopian artist. The 2022 signed piece, measuring 11x14 inches, expresses Caldwell's mastery in blending classical art techniques with modern street pop sensibilities, ready to be displayed and provoke thought in any setting. This piece is a visual narrative that conveys the tension between past and present, reality and imagination. At its center is a meticulously detailed castle, an emblem of medieval grandeur and stability, surrounded by abstract, almost violent brushstrokes that suggest a storm of contemporary chaos. Caldwell's "Castle" invites viewers to reflect on the dichotomy of the enduring structures we build—physical and societal—and the often tumultuous energy surrounding them. The castle, a symbol of fortitude and legacy, is juxtaposed against a backdrop of modernity's unrelenting and vibrant force, encapsulated in the riot of colors and textures that make up the canvas's background. Caldwell's artwork is further characterized by detailed sketches that evoke the sense of an underlying narrative that hints at the stories and histories embedded within the walls of such timeless structures. His mixed media approach, involving oil paint that gives depth and richness to the image, alongside other materials that contribute to the piece's texture and complexity, reflects the layered nature of history itself. "Castle" is a testament to Caldwell's ability to navigate the crosscurrents of street pop art and traditional oil painting. It is a visual exploration of the themes that define Caldwell's body of work: the intersection of historical and contemporary, the collision of dystopian and utopian elements, and the dialogue between the chaotic and the serene. Through "Castle," Caldwell continues to challenge and expand the boundaries of what pop art can be, solidifying his role as a visionary artist whose works resonate with the complexities of the modern age.

Jeff Soto Cat Goddess Archival Print by Jeff Soto

Cat Goddess Limited Edition Archival Pigment Prints on 310gsm Fine Art Paper by Jeff Soto Graffiti Street Artist Modern Pop Art. "The "Cat Goddess" is part of a series of paintings looking at the life cycle of living things. I would say I'm "spiritual" but not very religious. We talked about it in my family, we talked about Jesus and God, but we did not practice a religion. I'm always questioning why we're here, and what it's all about, and the answers are never clear to me. I do like to think we have spirits or energy, and I wonder where that energy goes when we pass? I feel that, if humans possess this energy, then all living things must possess it as well. The Cat Goddess is some sort of passageway or portal to somewhere else. I envision the mouth opening and taking the soul to a beautiful and safe place. Maybe Heaven?" - Jeff Soto
