In Bloom I Original Painting Aerosol, Acrylic, Screenprint & Reclaimed Posters on Wood by ARTIST graffiti street Meggs modern pop art. 2012 Signed Original Mixed Media Spray Paint Acrylic Reclaimed Items Painting Framed Artwork Size 17.5x17.5 Framed Australian artist David “Meggs” Hooke for his solo exhibition Spoiled Rotten. The exhibition of over 40 new paintings and multiples explores the wondrous decay of social morality stemming from modern society’s obsession with pop culture and overindulgent materialism, and continues Meggs’ perpetual fascination with dualism and finding beauty in tragedy.“Detroit is a city of duality more so than many other cities I have been to. I sought to incorporate this by using objects and surfaces that imply decay, in what I consider to be a beautiful way. Old wooden materials and signs with layers of paint tell a story of their own. Although the colors and textures are aesthetically beautiful, I think it’s about giving these materials a new life, a second purpose.” - Meggs

Shark Toof Thriller Original Spray Paint Wood Painting by Shark Toof
Thriller Original Painting Acrylic, House Paint & Aerosol on Cradled Wood by Shark Toof Graffiti Street Artist Modern Pop Art. 2015 Signed Orignal Spray Paint Mixed Media Painting Artwork Size 24x36 The Artistic Fusion of Shark Toof's 'Thriller' "Thriller," an original painting by Shark Toof, is a dynamic foray into graffiti street art and modern pop art. Crafted in 2015, this mixed media artwork—acrylic, house paint, and aerosol on cradled wood—displays Shark Toof's signature blend of street influence and acceptable art discipline. The piece, measuring 24x36 inches, is signed by the artist, providing authenticity to this vibrant representation of his multifaceted style. Shark Toof, recognized for his powerful visual statements in the street art community, brings his graffiti roots to the forefront in this piece. His work is not confined to the traditional expectations of pop art; instead, it ventures into a realm where iconoclasm meets iconography. In "Thriller," the influence of street art is palpable, with the raw energy of graffiti translating into a structured yet spirited composition on wood. Shark Toof's approach to his work reflects a conscious decision to merge his established voice with a playful irreverence, challenging the viewer to consider the icons of our time and their mutable significance. The artwork encapsulates Shark Toof's philosophy that art should not always be taken too seriously, suggesting that there is power in subverting one's creations. This notion of 'vandalizing' one's icons is a commentary on the impermanence of fame and the fluidity of cultural symbols in our society. This blend of introspection and external commentary positions "Thriller" within a unique space in contemporary art. Shark Toof and the Do-It-Yourself Ethos of Street Art Shark Toof's preference for Detroit as a backdrop for his creative process tells of his affinity for the do-it-yourself, or DIY, ethos often associated with street art. His connection to the city, known for its prosperous industry and innovation history, mirrors his artistic journey. In Detroit, a city that has experienced grandeur and grit, Shark Toof finds a kindred spirit—a landscape that is both a canvas and a catalyst for creativity. "Thriller" embodies this DIY spirit not only in its creation but also in its presentation. Using cradled wood as a substrate is a nod to the makeshift surfaces often employed in street art, where any space or material can become the foundation for expression. Shark Toof's choice of materials—house paint and aerosol—further echoes the vernacular of street art, where the medium's immediacy matches the message's urgency. Shark Toof's "Thriller" celebrates the evolving narrative of street pop art and graffiti artwork. His work is a testament to street art's power to transcend its urban origins and find resonance in a gallery setting. Through his bold use of color, form, and medium, Shark Toof continues challenging and redefining what it means to be a street artist in the contemporary art world. His work is a dialogue with the viewer, an invitation to explore the deeper meanings behind the images we see and the icons we create.

Bask Wolf Like Me Original Acrylic Painting on Wood by Bask
Wolf Like Me Original Painting Acrylic on Mixed-Media Reclaimed Wood Panel by Bask Graffiti Street Artist Modern Pop Art. “The esthetic of my work is similar to the Detroit landscape. The re-purposed nature of my art plays off of panels, wood, signs, that once were proudly displayed. But over the years they stopped serving their intended purpose and thrown out. The inspiration behind the work I made for this show was Detroit's strengths, struggles, and landscape. I took the opportunity to move to Detroit fourteen years ago, but for a number of reasons beyond my control, my stay lasted only 4 years. However, that was long enough for the city to have a profound impact on my work as well as my consciousness towards social and political issues. And even though I haven't called Detroit home in 9 years, the impression it stamped on me is something I hope I never lose. And it was this appreciation for the influence that DETROIT has had on me, that inspired the work I made for the show.” -Bask

Eddie Colla Trivaac Inhalation Vaccine HPM Spray Paint Can Sculpture by by Eddie Colla
Trivaac Inhalation Vaccine HPM Hand Made Limited Edition Mixed Media, Reclaimed Items, Spray Can Sculpture Artwork by graffiti street artist modern pop artist Eddie Colla. 2020 Signed & Numbered HPM Made & Printed Limited Edition of 30 Spray Paint Can Sculpture Artwork. These Are Art Pieces, They Are Not Medical Devices. "I originally made these fake inhalation vaccines as props for two installations I did with D Young V, Epilogue, and Memento Mori. The installations revolved around apocalyptic possibilities. These recycled Spray paint cans were meant to be discarded inhalation vaccines that the World Health Organization had distributed during a global pandemic. The labels contain information about application dosage and active ingredients. I did a lot of research regarding previous pandemics, such as H1N1 (bird flu). The idea was to create an artifact as real as possible to resemble a failed attempt to contain a global pandemic." Eddie Colla Artistic Representation of Global Pandemics Eddie Colla's "Trivaac Inhalation Vaccine" mixed media artworks reflect a hauntingly prescient take on global health crises through the lens of Street Pop Art and graffiti Artwork. This limited edition series, consisting of only 30 signed and numbered pieces, incorporates reclaimed items and spray paint cans to form sculptures that stand as poignant artifacts of apocalyptic possibilities. Created as part of two installations with fellow artist D Young V, "Epilogue" and "Memento Mori," Colla's sculptures were designed to represent discarded inhalation vaccines distributed by the World Health Organization during a fictional global pandemic. These installations explored themes of human vulnerability, societal collapse, and the interventions that come into play during such catastrophic events. The sculptures themselves, crafted to mimic the appearance and informational detail of real medical devices, resonate with the realism and urgency of a world grappling with the threat of pandemics. Colla's meticulous research into previous health crises, such as H1N1, informed the creation of this spray can sculpture. The labels on each canister are detailed with application dosage and active ingredients, contributing to the authentic feel of the pieces. This attention to detail not only enhances the visual impact of the sculptures but also embeds a narrative that ties them to the real-world context of public health emergencies. Cultural Commentary through Mixed Media The "Trivaac Inhalation Vaccine" sculptures starkly comment on the intersection of art, science, and societal response to global health challenges. By using reclaimed spray paint cans, Colla repurposes the mundane and aligns his work with the ethos of recycling and sustainability. These themes are increasingly relevant in contemporary discourse. These sculptures transform the spray can, a ubiquitous tool in street art, into a vessel of deeper meaning, reflecting on the throwaway culture and the implications of medical waste. This body of work also questions the efficacy and accessibility of healthcare interventions, highlighting the disparity between the intended purpose of medical devices and their actual implementation in crisis scenarios. Colla's sculptures suggest a history of use and urgency when these objects were vital to survival. The limited edition nature of these pieces emphasizes their uniqueness as artworks while alluding to the scarcity of resources that can occur in times of crisis. Street Pop Art & Graffiti Artwork's Evocative Power Eddie Colla's contribution to Street Pop Art and graffiti Artwork is characterized by his ability to evoke robust responses through objects that bridge art and reality. His sculptures are not passive objects; they are conversation starters that prompt viewers to think critically about the state of the world and our responses to impending dangers. In the tradition of street art, these works are accessible yet complex, visually striking yet laden with meaning. The "Trivaac Inhalation Vaccine" series underscores the evocative power of street pop art and graffiti to comment on and engage with current events. Through this series, Colla extends the narrative capabilities of street art beyond the walls and into the three-dimensional realm, offering a tangible connection to the issues that permeate our collective consciousness. In essence, Eddie Colla's "Trivaac Inhalation Vaccine" sculptures embody the innovative and reflective qualities of Street Pop Art and graffiti Artwork. By blending art with societal critique elements, Colla captures the imagination and ignites discourse, cementing his role as an artist who observes and participates in the broader conversations of our time. His work is a reminder of art's impact on interpreting, understanding, and questioning the world around us.

Devin James Block Boys Blok Boy Teal Blue Red Flowers Epoxy Sculpture by Devin James
Block Boys- Blok Boy- Teal Blue Red Flowers Original Epoxy Sculpture Artwork by graffiti street artist modern pop artist Devin James. 2021 Signed COA Lego Sculpture Artwork Size 6x11 Block Boys with Red Flower in Teal Blue, Original Blok Boy Lego Man. The Aesthetic Fusion in Blok Boy Devin James, a renowned figure in the world of street pop art and graffiti artwork, presents a striking addition to the art scene with "Boys- Blok Boy- Teal Blue Red Flowers," an original epoxy sculpture artwork that resonates deeply with the playful yet reflective essence of modern pop art. This piece, signed and accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity, stands out with its bold dimensions of 6x11 inches. The "Blok Boy" Lego Man sculpture encapsulates the whimsical nature of childhood toys while embedding the sophisticated depth of contemporary art. Crafted in 2021, this sculpture artfully merges the iconic simplicity of the Lego form with the complexity of human nature, signifying a juxtaposition that street pop art so often seeks to explore. The teal blue hue of the piece is not merely a choice of color but a narrative vehicle, conveying a sense of tranquility and depth akin to the ocean. Within this serene expanse, bursts of red—manifested as flowers—introduce a dynamic element of contrast, symbolizing passion, vibrancy, and life. Incorporating these red flowers disrupts the monochrome and injects a layer of emotional intensity into the sculpture, echoing the human experiences of conflict, beauty, and growth. The choice of epoxy as the medium for "Boys- Blok Boy" is deliberate, allowing for a luminous finish that gives the artwork an almost lifelike presence. The clarity of the material captures and plays with light, giving the sculpture an ever-changing appearance that depends on its environmental context. In this way, the artwork reflects street pop art's dynamic and evolving nature, which is inherently responsive to its surroundings. Symbolism in Street Pop Art The "Blok Boy" serves as a canvas upon which Devin James has masterfully illustrated themes of nostalgia and modernity. The Lego figure, a staple in the pantheon of childhood playthings, is repurposed here as an emblem of innocence and creativity. Yet, the transformation of this toy into a piece of high art indicates a loss of innocence and a bridge to the complexities of adulthood. This is the essence of street pop art—taking the familiar and everyday objects and elevating them to express deeper societal narratives. The interplay of the teal blue with the red flowers within "Blok Boy" also speaks to the graffiti artwork tradition of using vibrant visuals to make bold statements. Graffiti artists have long used the urban landscape as their canvas, often employing stark color contrasts to highlight their messages. Devin James brings this principle into the three-dimensional realm, using color to draw the viewer into a dialogue with the piece. Reflection of the Artist in the Artwork Beyond the aesthetic and symbolic qualities of the sculpture, "Boys- Blok Boy- Teal Blue Red Flowers" is also a reflection of Devin James himself. Known for his distinctive style that marries street art with a polished modern pop art aesthetic, James creates works that are both accessible and profound. His signature lies in his ability to imbue his pieces with layers of meaning, often prompting the viewer to reflect on the intersection of youth and the adult world, playfulness and seriousness, simplicity, and complexity. In this sculpture, James' own experiences and perspectives are distilled into the form of the "Blok Boy." The artwork becomes a conversation piece, prompting discussions about the role of art in public spaces, the commodification of childhood memories, and the potential of street art to infiltrate and enhance the world of fine art. James continues to challenge and redefine the boundaries of street pop art and graffiti artwork through this piece. "Boys- Blok Boy- Teal Blue Red Flowers" is a testament to the evolving narrative of street pop art and graffiti artwork. Through his skillful manipulation of form, color, and medium, Devin James presents a sculpture that is both a playful nod to childhood and a profound commentary on the human condition. The artwork is a vibrant fusion of toy and totem, a physical manifestation of the ethos of street pop art—rooted in the urban yet reaching towards the universal.

In essence, Cope2's work is a celebration of the visual language of the streets, presented within the context of fine art. It offers a narrative deeply rooted in New York City's cultural fabric, providing a snapshot of a movement that has evolved from the margins to the mainstream. The "New York City Subway Maps IV" series not only pays homage to the history of street art but also asserts its place within the continuum of contemporary art. Through his work, Cope2 continues to influence and shape the dialogue around Street Pop Art and Graffiti Artwork, ensuring that the vibrancy of street culture remains a vital part of the art world's discourse.

That conversation led House Industries, Barnzley, and designer Jeremy Dean to collaboratively build HOUSE33 and its flagship store in Soho London in the early 2000s. His ability to infuse contemporary culture with iconic imagery has made his artwork resonate with enthusiasts and critics alike. In 2021, Frost unveiled a piece that is both nostalgic and thought-provoking: an original acrylic painting on a genuine at-home marijuana drug test package. This piece measures 7.3125 x 5.375 inches and was officially released on November 26, 2021. What makes this artwork especially captivating is the portrayal of Beavis & Butthead, the infamous duo from MTV's hit cartoon series. Their caricatured expressions, combined with the thematic context of the drug test, create a satirical commentary on pop culture, substance use, and societal norms. By employing an actual upcycled marijuana drug test box as his canvas, Frost challenges the boundaries between street art and everyday objects, blurring the lines between the mundane and the artistic. Frost's choice of Beavis & Butthead, figures deeply embedded in 90s culture, taps into a sense of nostalgia. Yet, by juxtaposing them with the marijuana drug test, he also prompts a dialogue about changing perceptions of cannabis and its place in popular culture. The artwork serves as a testament to how iconic characters can be reimagined in unexpected contexts, sparking fresh conversations. This piece is emblematic of the transformative power of street and graffiti art. By taking everyday objects and recontextualizing them, artists like Ben Frost challenge societal perceptions and encourage viewers to question the world around them. A prime example of this can be found in his "Bugged Out" piece, an original acrylic painting masterfully created on an actual at-home marijuana drug test package. This intriguing artwork measures 7.3125 x 5.375 inches and was unveiled on November 26, 2021. Drawing from the rich pop culture tapestry, Frost chose to depict the iconic Bugs Bunny from Warner Brothers' beloved Looney Tunes series. The mischievous smile and familiar pose of the cartoon rabbit is instantly recognizable, offering a dash of nostalgia. However, it's the contrast of this playful character with the serious undertones of a marijuana drug test that creates a powerful visual and conceptual juxtaposition. This choice stimulates conversation about societal norms, substance use, and the evolving landscape of popular culture. Using an upcycled drug test box as his canvas, Frost challenges the traditional paradigms of art. It speaks to the ethos of street and graffiti art, where unconventional mediums are often embraced to make bold statements. The decision to pair Bugs Bunny with this particular backdrop is not merely aesthetic; it invites viewers to ponder the interplay between recreational substances and the entertainment world and how perceptions change over time. In "Bugged Out", Ben Frost has once again demonstrated his uncanny ability to intertwine cultural icons with contemporary issues, delivering a piece that resonates on multiple levels and solidifying his reputation as a visionary in street art.

Released in 2020, this stunning piece is a testament to Pollot's unparalleled ability to repurpose, reimagine, and recontextualize traditional art forms into contemporary and engaging works. As part of an exclusive series, only 10 signed and numbered copies of this masterpiece exist, each meticulously produced on fine art paper to ensure longevity and vibrancy of color. Measuring 8x10 inches, with a mat that extends the dimensions to 11x14 inches, "Old Is New Is Old Again" is a captivating representation of a Renaissance man in vintage attire. The main subject, distinguished and posed as a gentleman of a bygone era, sports a curious addition that beautifully exemplifies Pollot's creative aesthetic — a graphic of a wolf howling at the moon. This piece seamlessly integrates aspects of modern imagery with classical portraiture, resulting in a unique fusion that embodies the spirit of graffiti pop and street art. In the realm of pop art, Pollot's piece is a nod to the repetition and mass production synonymous with the movement. By embedding modern iconography into a traditional portrait, the artist creatively merges past and present, thereby urging viewers to explore the ubiquitous influence of pop culture on societal perception. The wolf, a symbol often found in street and graffiti art, adds an element of rawness and organic spirit to the otherwise refined and polished depiction of the gentleman. Street art, often reflective of social and cultural expressions, finds its representation in the artwork as well. Pollot's rendering of the gentleman is symbolic of the adaptability and fluidity of street art, with its roots firmly set in the culture of the streets but its reach extending far beyond. The unorthodox incorporation of a graffiti-style wolf into a classical portrait suggests a strong link to street culture, bridging the gap between fine art and popular expressions of creativity. Graffiti art, traditionally associated with rebellion and counterculture, takes on a new form in "Old Is New Is Old Again." The howling wolf, often used in graffiti as a signifier of freedom and independence, has been seamlessly incorporated into the artwork. Its presence offers a stark contrast to the gentleman's attire, suggesting a dichotomy between societal norms and the desire for personal freedom and expression. Through this piece, Dave Pollot has remarkably bridged the gap between varying art forms and historical periods, crafting a timeless piece that speaks volumes of his understanding of art and culture. "Old Is New Is Old Again" is a perfect example of Pollot's ability to draw from diverse artistic movements and social themes, creating a work that resonates with the complexity and diversity of the human experience. In essence, this piece serves as a visual dialogue between different eras and artistic styles, proving that in the realm of art, the old and the new can coexist in the most harmonious and visually striking ways.
