Graffiti artist Hijack is the pseudonym of a Los Angeles-based street artist, who gained prominence in the early 2010s. Born in 1992, Hijack is the son of the renowned French street artist, Mr. Brainwash (Thierry Guetta). Growing up surrounded by the urban art scene, Hijack was inspired by his father and other prominent street artists, like Banksy and Shepard Fairey, to develop his own unique style. Hijack's work often features a combination of spray paint, stencil, and wheatpaste techniques, and his pieces can be found both on the streets and in galleries. He is known for creating thought-provoking and socially conscious artwork that engages the viewer in a dialogue about current issues, such as consumerism, media influence, and the power dynamics in society. Some of his signature pieces include the iconic image of two businessmen fighting over a briefcase, which symbolizes the greed and materialism that pervade modern society, and the "Life is Beautiful" mural, which encourages viewers to appreciate the beauty in everyday life. Over the years, Hijack's work has garnered significant attention and he has participated in numerous exhibitions and art events around the world. Despite his success in the art world, he continues to maintain his anonymity, like many street artists, to avoid legal repercussions and to keep the focus on his art rather than his personal life.
