White Washed Purple Tag HPM Mixed Media Unique by Saber The piece titled "White Washed Purple Tag HPM Mixed Media Unique" by the artist Saber is a quintessential example of this art form. Saber, a renowned American graffiti artist, Ryan Weston Shook, has played a pivotal role in bringing graffiti and street art into the gallery space. Born in 1976, Saber remains an influential figure in the street art community, known for his distinctive style that often features a dynamic use of color, bold tags, and an edgy aesthetic that resonates with the ethos of street culture. The artwork itself is a hand-painted marker on fine art paper that exudes street art's raw energy and spontaneity. The mixed media piece is part of a unique original series comprising an edition of 40 hand-drawn mixed media works. Saber's use of spray paint, acrylic paint, markers, and permanent markers culminates in an artwork that is visually striking and tactile in its layered application of materials. The piece's dimensions, a modest 6x8, may seem small, but the impact of the artwork is substantial. The compact size encapsulates the immediacy of graffiti art, where space is often at a premium, and artists must convey their message concisely and powerfully. The thick fine art paper serves as a testament to the durability and permanence of the art form, much like the walls that bear the weight of urban storytelling. Artistic Significance and Cultural Impact Saber's "White Washed Purple Tag" is a testament to the cultural impact of street pop art and graffiti artwork. By taking the art from the alleys and train cars onto fine art paper, the artist has elevated the perception of graffiti, allowing it to be appreciated as a form of social commentary and as a legitimate and sophisticated art form. The mixed media aspect of the piece showcases the versatility and innovativeness of street artists, who often have to adapt to various environments and use available materials. The technique of whitewashing, often used by city authorities to cover up graffiti, is reappropriated in this piece to serve as a canvas, creating a stark contrast with the vibrant purple tag. This reclamation symbolizes street artists' struggle in their quest for recognition and the right to public space. The purple tag, a signature of Saber's work, is not merely a name but a statement of identity, a bold declaration of existence in a constantly changing and evolving world. In the context of modern pop art, Saber's work is a bridge between street culture and high art, reflecting the changing attitudes towards what is considered valuable and worthy of attention in the art world. His works are collected and admired for their aesthetic appeal and their ability to capture the zeitgeist of an increasingly urbanized, digitized, and diverse generation. Saber Priority Mail 228-2016 Slap-Up Label Sticker Original Tag Art by Saber
Priority Mail 228-2016 Slap-Up Label Sticker Original Tag Art by Saber Original Permanent Drawing Art on USPS Mailing Label by Graffiti Artist Modern Street Artwork. 2020 Signed by Tag Original Slap Up Graffiti Art Tag 4.25x5.5 Color Marker on USPS United States Postal Service Priority Mail Label 228-2016. Priority Mail 228 Labels: Slap-Up Canvas for the Streets Street Pop Art and Graffiti Artwork have become synonymous with urban landscapes' raw, vibrant, and often controversial energy. Amongst the most captivating forms of this art is the slap-up label sticker, a brief piece that combines the guerrilla tactics of street art with the aesthetic approach of pop art. These stickers, often found adorning city walls, lampposts, and mailboxes, carry the pulse of the streets and the artist's signature. The United States Postal Service's Priority Mail 228 label is a particularly iconic medium within this genre. Initially intended for postal use, artists have repurposed these labels as canvases for their work. With its distinctive red, white, and blue design, the label offers an instantly recognizable backdrop deeply rooted in American iconography. This juxtaposition of official symbolism with the rebellious nature of graffiti creates a powerful, provocative, and patriotic visual statement. Graffiti artists like Saber have transformed these labels into vehicles of personal expression and social commentary. Saber, an American artist named Ryan Weston Shook, is known for his work within the graffiti community and beyond. His involvement with the art form dates back to the 1990s, and he has since become a notable figure in the street art world. Tag Art: Marking Presence and Identity Tagging, which involves writing one's alias or signature in a stylized form, is central to graffiti culture. It's a means of claiming territory, asserting identity, and engaging with the public in a dialogue often unmediated by gallery spaces' conventions. The Saber piece utilizes a blue permanent marker to create a tangle of lines and shapes that coalesce into his distinctive tag. Measuring 4.25x5.5 inches, this slap-up label sticker is a quintessential example of tag art, embodying the spontaneity and personal touch that are hallmarks of the genre. Created in 2020 and signed by the artist, this piece carries the weight of authenticity and the immediacy of street art. Despite its small scale, the tag commands attention, with the intensity of the blue marker standing bold against the label's pre-printed elements. The label's date, March 2016, provides a temporal context, anchoring the artwork in a specific moment of Saber's artistic journey. The cultural significance of slap-up label art lies in its accessibility and transience. These stickers can be produced en masse and placed in various locations, allowing for a wide distribution of the artist's work. However, their lifespan is unpredictable, as they can easily be removed or destroyed, mirroring the fleeting nature of fame and public attention in the digital age. Saber's use of the Priority Mail 228 label is a nod to a tradition in street art that values the repurposing of everyday items into something extraordinary. The label's transformation from a mundane postal accessory into a piece of art disrupts the ordinary and challenges the viewer to see the extraordinary in the everyday. This quality places slap-up label art firmly within the canon of Street Pop Art and Graffiti Artwork, genres that continually redefine themselves through unconventional materials and methods. The Priority Mail 228 Slap-Up Label Sticker by Saber is more than just a piece of art; it is a statement, a piece of cultural fabric, and a reflection of the artist's presence in the urban landscape. As with much of Street Pop Art and Graffiti Artwork, it encapsulates a moment in time, a burst of creative energy, and a dialogue with the public that is as vibrant and dynamic as the streets from which it was born.

This original piece, created in 2014, is a prime example of how LushSux transposes the essence of graffiti onto an HO-scale model train box-car, measuring a mere 14x3 inches. Through this work, LushSux continues challenging the conventional perceptions of graffiti by taking the once exclusively urban art form into new and unexpected domains. The signature of LushSux not only authenticates the piece but also denotes his dual identity as both a street artist and a self-proclaimed "international graffiti asshole," a testament to his tongue-in-cheek approach to his public persona. Exploring the Dichotomy of "Train 39" In "Train 39," LushSux juxtaposes the orderly world of model train collecting with graffiti art's often chaotic and free-spirited nature. The artwork features a vibrant tag or "throw-up," characterized by its bubbly letters and bold, outlined edges—a hallmark of LushSux's style. The interplay of colors and the strategic placement of the tag disrupt the traditional aesthetics of the model train, infusing it with a contemporary edge that is both striking and thought-provoking. This piece exemplifies how street pop art can extend beyond the walls of city buildings and into the more intimate spaces of personal collections, retaining its power to engage and challenge viewers. The Cultural Resonance of LushSux's "Train 39" The creation of "Train 39" and its subsequent release into the art market underscores the evolving nature of street pop art as a cultural expression. The piece reflects a broader trend in contemporary art, where the lines between high art and subcultural expressions continue to blur. LushSux's work on this model train encapsulated a moment in the street art movement when artists began seeking new frontiers and mediums. As a collectible, "Train 39" represents the intersection of various enthusiast communities, from graffiti aficionados to model train collectors, showcasing the universal appeal of LushSux's artistry. Peter Keil Warhol 02 Red Purple Original Oil Painting by Peter Keil
Warhol 02 Red Purple Original Oil Painting by Peter Keil One of a Kind Artwork on Masonite Panel by The Wild Man of Berlin, a Famous Contemporary Artist. 2002 Signed by Peter Keil & Dated Oil Painting on Masonite Panel Original Artwork Size 24x24. All of Peter Keil's Art Used Thick Paint & Some Paint Flaking May Be Present Due to the Age and Nature of His Work. Painting of Andy Warhol Friend Face Pruple Red & White. Intense Expressionism in Peter Keil's Warhol 02 Red Purple The "Warhol 02 Red Purple Original Oil Painting" by Peter Keil, also known as The Wild Man of Berlin, is a captivating exploration of form and color through the lens of Neo-Expressionism. This one-of-a-kind artwork on a Masonite panel embodies the spirited energy of the artist, a famous contemporary figure known for his daring use of colors and profound representation of faces. The 2002 piece, signed and stamped with the year by Keil, is a square of emotion measuring 24x24 inches, where the thick application of paint forms an image of Andy Warhol, revealing the profound influence of pop art on Keil's work. Keil's artistic method is defined by a bold, impasto technique where the paint is layered on thickly, giving the artwork a three-dimensional texture that is both seen and felt. This technique results in some degree of flaking over time, which is considered an inherent characteristic of Keil's work, adding to its authenticity and historical value. The "Warhol 02 Red Purple" painting is a testament to this style, with its vibrant reds and deep purples merging to form the iconic visage of Warhol, set against a stark white background. Peter Keil's Contribution to Contemporary Art Peter Keil's contribution to street pop art and graffiti artwork is substantial, as he brings street art's raw, untamed essence into the gallery. His work eschews the conventional polish and restraint often associated with fine art, instead embracing a wild abandon more commonly found on the streets and in the alleys where graffiti thrives. The "Warhol 02 Red Purple" vividly illustrates this philosophy, with the painting's subject – a pop art pioneer – being depicted in Keil's uninhibited style, creating a bridge between the two artistic worlds. Each of Keil's paintings is an original narrative, a story told in the visual language of colors and shapes. Collectors and enthusiasts of Keil's work are attracted to his paintings' intense emotion and distinctive style. In the case of "Warhol 02 Red Purple," the allure is enhanced by the subject matter – the legendary Andy Warhol – which positions the painting at the intersection of pop art heritage and contemporary artistic innovation. Owning a piece by Peter Keil is more than an acquisition of art; it is an immersion into the vibrant life story of the painting itself. The flaking paint, the bold strokes, and the striking contrasts create an experience that is as evocative and complex as the artist himself. The "Warhol 02 Red Purple" is a vibrant symbol of Keil's enduring artistic vision and impact on the art world. The "Warhol 02 Red Purple Original Oil Painting" by Peter Keil is a visual feast and an essential piece of contemporary art history. This work encapsulates the essence of street pop art and graffiti through the lens of a master painter whose unorthodox approach to art has captured the attention of the global art community. Keil's painting celebrates expressive freedom and the power of art to convey profound human emotion and thought.

Ron English- POPaganda Star Skull Kickstarter Giclee Print by Ron English- POPaganda
Star Skull- Kickstarter Limited Edition Giclee Print on Fine Art Paper by Ron English- POPaganda counter-culture street artist art. 2015 Signed & Numbered Limited Kickstarter Bonus Exclusive Edition of 50 Artwork Size 16x16 Ron English- POPaganda's Artistic Impact The "Star Skull" giclee print by Ron English- POPaganda presents a captivating fusion of street pop art and graffiti artwork, emblematic of the counter-culture ethos the artist is renowned for. As a Kickstarter limited edition release in 2015, this piece showcases English's signature blend of high-concept visual art with subversive overtones rendered on fine art paper. Ron English- POPaganda is a prolific and quintessential figure in contemporary art, mainly known for his role in the subversive street art movement. His works often incorporate a mash-up of high and low cultural touchstones, ranging from superhero mythology to totems of art history, recontextualized in a modern narrative. English's "Star Skull" is no exception; the artwork is a complex visual statement that dives deep into the themes of mortality and the omnipresence of pop culture. The skull, an enduring symbol in art history, is transformed through English's lens into a vibrant, iridescent object that captures the gaze with its haunting beauty. The star emblazoned across the skull's cranium starkly contrasts the naturalistic rendering of the bone structure. This juxtaposition speaks to the artist's fascination with American iconography and the often superficial allure of fame and materialism. Significance in Street Art and Pop Art This limited edition print, sized at 16x16 inches, is particularly significant as it was offered as a Kickstarter bonus exclusive, reflecting the changing landscape of how art is funded and consumed. The exclusivity of the edition, limited to only 50 signed and numbered prints, increases its collectibility and underlines the personalized connection Ron English- POPaganda fosters with his audience. "Star Skull" embodies the essence of street pop art in its accessibility and the DIY ethos of graffiti art culture. The medium of giclee print, known for its ability to faithfully reproduce the color and detail of original artworks, is ideally suited to English's vibrant palette and meticulous detail. Collectors of English's work appreciate the aesthetic and thematic richness of his art and the value of owning a piece that is part of a limited run, signifying its rarity and the artist's direct touch. The Collectible Nature of "Star Skull" The piece's presence in the art market as a Kickstarter exclusive highlights the changing dynamics of art patronage, with more direct artist-audience relationships and alternative platforms for art distribution. English's decision to release "Star Skull" through Kickstarter signifies his embrace of contemporary methods for engaging with the art community, democratizing the art acquisition process. In the context of modern art, "Star Skull" stands as a testament to the enduring relevance of street pop art and graffiti artwork. It encapsulates the immediacy and confrontation found in street art with the conceptual depth and polished finish that fine art printmaking affords. As such, it is a visually striking piece and a significant artifact of contemporary art history, marking the intersection of traditional art forms with the insurgent spirit of street art. In summary, Ron English- POPaganda's "Star Skull" Kickstarter limited edition giclee print is a vivid example of the potent dialogue between street pop art and graffiti artwork and the counter-culture narrative that English is celebrated for. Through this piece, English continues to challenge viewers with his blend of the familiar and the extraordinary, cementing his role as a pivotal figure in the narrative of contemporary art.

Steven Lopez Butterfly Trap Archival Print by Steven Lopez
Butterfly Trap Limited Edition Archival Pigment Print on 310gsm Fine Art Paper by Steven Lopez Graffiti Street Artist Modern Pop Art. "I’ve been exploring the monarch butterfly pattern on my portraits and while I enjoyed that aspect I wanted to understand how I could use it in other situations. I first drew the figure in my sketchbook while looking at the muse. I liked the flow of the drawing and pondered how I could use it in a painting. A few days later I came up with the idea while listening to Jamiroquai’s, Butterfly. This was the first time I added distress to the derrière.The under painting was applied by brush with coarse textures executed by palette knife. Under painting has been a big focal point for me. It’s helped me understand how to trap light and distinguish shadows with greater dexterity. A new door has opened which makes me feel like I’m learning all over again." - Steven Lopez
