Purchase Estevan Oriol- LA Fingers Black Limited Edition Rare Spray Paint Can Artwork Crossover by famous graffiti paint maker Montana MTN. Estevan Oriol LA FINGERS, 2021 Limited Edition of 500 Montana Spray Paint Can Color: Black Estevan Oriol is an internationally celebrated professional photographer, director and entrepreneur. Beginning his career as a club bouncer turned tour manager for popular Los Angeles–based rap groups Cypress Hill and House of Pain, Oriol developed his passion for photography while traveling the world. He began documenting life on the road and established a name for himself amid the emerging hip-hop scene. In 1995, Chicano street photographer Estevan Oriol held a now-famous photo session in which he asked a Latina model with a fierce set of claws to arrange her bling-gilded fingers in the shape of two letters: L and A. Her black, pillowy lips pouting in the background, the image presented a mesmerizing, defiant symbol of West Coast pride. It reclaimed the typography of the Hollywood sign and it reimagined the Dodgers’ interlocking L.A. symbol. Not since the palm tree, the smoggy freeway or the lonely Hockney swimming pool had one image so succinctly captured the essence of Los Angeles — inaccessible and forbidden until Oriol (with its full blessing) delivered it to us.

Nostalgic Elegance of Hand-Deckled Paper in Guetta's Work The choice of hand-deckled paper adds an element of refined elegance to the prints, suggesting that these are not mere reproductions but carefully crafted works of art. The deckled edges bring a textural dimension that complements the emotional depth of the silkscreen print. Guetta's attention to the tactile quality of his work emphasizes the physicality of affection, a fitting parallel to the tangible warmth and comfort provided by maternal figures. Like Mr. Brainwash, Guetta has always had a knack for blending commercial art techniques with street art's spontaneity and edge. "Dear Mom" exemplifies this approach, marrying the meticulousness of a 5-color hand-pulled process with handwritten notes' raw, emotive power. The result is a series that feels both personal and exquisite, much like the love one feels for a mother. The Sentimental Impact of "Dear Mom" in Street Art The release of "Dear Mom" by Mr. Brainwash goes beyond the typical boundaries of street art, reaching into the realm of the sentimental and the heartfelt. The series has struck a chord with audiences and collectors alike, serving as a reminder of street art's potential to disrupt, endear, and celebrate. Guetta's work is a powerful homage to the silent heroes in our lives, our mothers, making it a significant piece in the landscape of modern pop art. In graffiti and street art, where the brief is often celebrated, Mr. Brainwash's "Dear Mom" series offers a moment of pause, a contemplation on the enduring. Though replicated through silkscreen, handwritten notes retain their individuality, echoing the unique bond each of us shares with our mother. Through this series, Thierry Guetta has once again demonstrated his ability to capture the human experience in his art, creating works as emotionally resonant as they are visually striking.
Purchase Diamond FAILEdoodle- Black/Black 2-Color Hand-Pulled Limited Edition Silkscreen, Acrylic, Spraypaint, Silkscreen Ink and Glitter Print on Archival Lenox Paper by Faile Rare Street Art Famous Pop Artwork Artist. 2022 Diamond FAILEdoodle: Black/Black 19 x 25 Inches Each variant an edition of 25 Acrylic, Spraypaint, Silkscreen Ink and Glitter on Archival Lenox 100 Signed, Stamped and Embossed A new breed of Faile Dog was born last year. First found on the streets of New York this pup found its way into the studio and really came to life. We've been pushing our shimmering print process lately and this felt like the perfect print to introduce this into our practice. Four different editions, two in red glitter and two in black glitter. All stained, sprayed, painted and printed; it's all the hallmarks of a studio print now with a lot more shine. Using the words of the artists themselves, the artwork “gives a person the sense that it is there just for them. That they've stumbled across this great little gem amidst the chaos of daily life that can really speak to them. We try to build in a certain ambiguity that leaves the door open for the viewer to find themselves within the story.” This relational character of the FAILE’s art corresponds and becomes amplified by their consistent travel and lack of a permanent studio until the mid-2000s. This resulted in the duo’s embracement and utilization of urban streets and, naturally, gave the produced work a “site-specific” character since public art inevitably adjusts itself to the location of the display.

This artwork, produced in 2012, is a fine example of the amalgamation of traditional graffiti elements with modern pop art sensibilities. The artwork measures 24x18 and is an original creation signed by the artist himself. It is crafted using spray paint on a metal street sign, an authentic representation of street art's roots. The choice of medium not only provides authenticity to the piece but also underlines the transient nature of graffiti art, often subject to the elements and the whims of urban development. Dominating the artwork are two intricately designed figures, reminiscent of the stylized beat boys from the 1970s and 80s. These characters exude a sense of rhythm, rebellion, and resilience, harking back to a time when street culture and hip-hop began to find their voice. They are set against a vibrant background of classic New York City graffiti tags, a nod to the birthplace of street art and its enduring influence. The inclusion of bubble letters, a hallmark of traditional graffiti, lends the piece an air of nostalgia, bridging the gap between past and present. The very title, "Sidewalk Closed," speaks volumes about the underlying themes of the artwork. It can be seen as a commentary on the ever-changing urban landscape, where spaces that once served as canvases for artists are increasingly becoming off-limits. Shepard Fairey- OBEY Terry Hall Tribute Silkscreen Print by Shepard Fairey- OBEY
Purchase Terry Hall Tribute Silkscreen Print by Shepard Fairey- OBEY Hand-Pulled 1-Color on Pure White Speckletone Fine Art Paper Limited Edition Artwork Obey Pop Culture Artist. 2023 Signed & Numbered Limited Edition of 325 Artwork Size 18x24 Silkscreen Print "Terry Hall, singer of the Specials, one of my favorite bands, died of pancreatic cancer a little less than a year ago. This past Saturday, Musack did an amazing tribute to Terry with a bonkers lineup, including Horace Panter and Lynval Golding of the Specials, Jane Wiedlin of the Go-Go’s, Fishbone, No Doubt (except Gwen), Tom Morello, Tim Armstrong and Jesse Michaels of Operation Ivy, Donita Sparks of L7, and others! I fell in love with the Specials in the summer of 1989, around the time I started listening to Operation Ivy and Fishbone, so to have members of all those bands celebrating Terry was incredible! I was also able to do the poster for the event based on a beautiful photo by Chalkie Davies. There are two versions of the print, one with the event lineup included and another that is a simpler tribute to Terry. The black and white print are editions of 325, but the show lineup print is a smaller quantity (edition of 300) because many were sold at the event, and all proceeds from those benefit Musack, an excellent music charity for kids. On a personal note, Terry came by my studio a couple of times, and we talked for hours. He was kind, thoughtful, and very open about life’s ups and downs. We talked about kids, mental health, insecurity, relationships, the therapeutic benefits of creativity, and many other heavy topics. He was a kindred spirit who I thought I’d be friends with for many years. This print was done with love… thanks for the tunes Terry!" -Shepard Fairey- OBEY The realm of street art, pop culture, and graffiti has witnessed countless legendary figures whose artistry has both challenged and changed perceptions. One such luminary is Shepard Fairey, the renowned artist behind the OBEY campaign, who has consistently melded activism and artistry in his works. A notable tribute by Fairey is the silkscreen print dedicated to Terry Hall, the iconic lead singer of the Specials. Terry Hall's influence in the world of music was significant, and his tragic passing due to pancreatic cancer was a tremendous loss to the music community. This sentiment was palpable when Musack hosted an astounding tribute to Hall, graced by stalwarts like Horace Panter, Lynval Golding, Jane Wiedlin, Fishbone, members of No Doubt, and numerous other eminent artists. This tribute not only celebrated Hall's legacy but also underscored the bond shared by these artists, many of whom were influenced by the Specials during their formative years. The silkscreen print crafted by Fairey serves as a testament to Hall's enduring impact on him and the broader music fraternity. The artwork, pulled by hand on fine art paper, epitomizes the meticulousness synonymous with Fairey's creations. Limited to an edition of 325, the monochromatic rendition of Hall draws inspiration from a poignant photograph by Chalkie Davies. An alternative version features the event lineup, limited to an edition of 300, with a significant portion having been sold during the event. The proceeds from this version were dedicated to Musack, a laudable charity aimed at empowering kids through music. Fairey's connection with Hall went beyond mere admiration. Their conversations, which delved deep into topics like mental health, creativity, and life's intricacies, highlighted the profound respect and mutual understanding they shared. The artist's tribute to Hall is more than just a print; it's a heartfelt homage to a kindred spirit. Through this artwork, Fairey offers the world a glimpse into their shared moments, while simultaneously emphasizing Terry Hall's undying influence in the realms of music and culture.
