Purchase Charles Street Deck Limited Edition Silkscreen Skateboard deck art by street pop culture artist Ricky Powell. 2020 Signed & Numbered on Verso Charles Street Shuffle, Archival pigment print on Cold Pressed Steep Natural Skate Deck 32 x 8 inches (81.3 x 20.3 cm) Ed. 5/75 Numbered in ink to reverse and released January 20, 2020. The Integration of Skate Culture and Street Pop Art in Ricky Powell's "Charles Street Deck" The "Charles Street Deck," a limited edition skateboard deck art by Ricky Powell, exemplifies the seamless integration of skate culture within the realm of Street Pop Art and Graffiti Artwork. Released on January 20, 2020, this piece is part of an exclusive set, limited to 75 editions, each signed and numbered on the verso. The deck features the "Charles Street Shuffle," an archival pigment print on a cold-pressed, steep, natural skate deck measuring 32 x 8 inches. This site is standard for skateboarding functionality and canvas for Powell's street pop culture artistry. Edition 5/75, marked in ink to reverse, signifies its authenticity and place within this highly collectible series. Ricky Powell's work on the "Charles Street Deck" captures the raw energy and rebellious spirit of both the street art and skateboarding worlds. The silkscreen process in creating this deck harks back to the DIY ethos prevalent in both subcultures. The detailed and durable print reflects the resilience required in skateboarding, just as the art must withstand the streets' wear and tear. Ricky Powell's "Charles Street Deck": A Cultural Artifact The "Charles Street Deck" is not merely a skateboard but a cultural artifact representing a fusion of artistry and athleticism. It is a tribute to the vibrant street life and urban landscapes that have long been the backdrops for street artists and skaters alike. Powell's choice to create a piece that is both a functional skateboard and a work of art speaks to the evolution of Street Pop Art, where practical objects are transformed into canvases for expression. This deck art, with its image of individuals in motion, encapsulates the dynamism of street culture. The figures captured on the deck are mid-shuffle, a freeze-frame of life in the streets that echoes the movement and flow of skateboarding. This visual narrative aligns with the storytelling aspect of graffiti art, where each piece conveys a moment, an emotion, or a statement from the artist. The Significance of Ricky Powell's Work in Street Art Ricky Powell's contribution to the art world through pieces like the "Charles Street Deck" is significant in elevating street culture and connecting it to a broader audience. By merging the worlds of skateboarding and street art, he bridges a gap between various forms of urban expression, underscoring their intrinsic value as both art and social commentary. The limited edition nature of the deck adds to its desirability, much like a rare piece of graffiti that can only be seen in one place for a limited time. Powell's work on this deck also showcases the potential for street art to inhabit new spaces and reach new audiences. Once a blank slate, the skateboard deck becomes a traveling exhibition of Powell's vision, carried through the streets and across skate parks, much like how graffiti art shares its messages with everyone who passes by. The "Charles Street"Deck" by Ricky Powe celebrates the intersection between skate culture and Street Pop Art, a testament to the creativity that flourishes within urban environments. As edition 5/75 rolls through the streets or adorns the wall of a collector, it carries with it the spirit of the streets, the essence of movement, and the undeniable force of street-inspired artistry.

Purchase Faile Girl HPM Acrylic Silkscreen Print by Faile Screen Print on Fine Art Paper Limited Edition Pop Street Art Artwork. 2007 Signed & Numbered Acrylic HPM Embellished Limited Edition of 16 Artwork Size 17.9x24 Faile is a Brooklyn-based artistic collaboration between Patrick McNeil (born 1975) and Patrick Miller (born 1976). Initially founded in 1999, the duo is known for their wide-ranging multimedia practice, recognized for its explorations of duality through a fragmented style of appropriation and collage. Working in the vein of popular culture and frequently referencing mass consumerism, Faile's work encompasses a variety of materials and techniques, including painting, silkscreening, stencils, stickers, sculpture, and more. Their art has been exhibited in a wide array of contexts, from city walls and lamp posts to galleries and museums around the world, such as Perry Rubenstein Gallery, New York; Dallas Contemporary, Dallas; and Palais de Tokyo, Paris. The name "Faile" is an anagram of "A life", which signifies the duo's shared philosophy towards their work. They are known to embrace the dichotomies of art and popular culture, acknowledging the fluidity and ubiquity of imagery in the modern world. HPM, or Hand-Painted Multiples, is a term used to describe a specific method of silkscreen printing. In HPM silkscreen printing, each piece of an edition is individually embellished or altered by the artist, thereby making each print within the edition unique. This technique can often be seen in street art and other forms of contemporary art. Silkscreen printing, also known as screen printing, is a process that involves pushing ink through a stenciled mesh screen to create a printed design. It's a popular technique used in a variety of different industries, such as fine art, fashion, and marketing, due to its versatility in adapting to different materials and surfaces. Artists like Faile often utilize HPM silkscreen printing to create limited editions of their work. This method allows them to produce a series of pieces that maintain a consistent theme or image, but with individual variations that make each piece unique. This can range from changes in color, to additional elements, to hand-finishing details. This results in each print being not just a copy, but a unique work of art.

Purchase Estevan Oriol- LA Fingers Black Limited Edition Rare Spray Paint Can Artwork Crossover by famous graffiti paint maker Montana MTN. Estevan Oriol LA FINGERS, 2021 Limited Edition of 500 Montana Spray Paint Can Color: Black Estevan Oriol is an internationally celebrated professional photographer, director and entrepreneur. Beginning his career as a club bouncer turned tour manager for popular Los Angeles–based rap groups Cypress Hill and House of Pain, Oriol developed his passion for photography while traveling the world. He began documenting life on the road and established a name for himself amid the emerging hip-hop scene. In 1995, Chicano street photographer Estevan Oriol held a now-famous photo session in which he asked a Latina model with a fierce set of claws to arrange her bling-gilded fingers in the shape of two letters: L and A. Her black, pillowy lips pouting in the background, the image presented a mesmerizing, defiant symbol of West Coast pride. It reclaimed the typography of the Hollywood sign and it reimagined the Dodgers’ interlocking L.A. symbol. Not since the palm tree, the smoggy freeway or the lonely Hockney swimming pool had one image so succinctly captured the essence of Los Angeles — inaccessible and forbidden until Oriol (with its full blessing) delivered it to us.

Banned 1s by Eric Pagsanjan | SneakerHeroes x Quiccs 4 Color Screen Print Edition of 88, Signed and Numbered by Artist Size: 18" x 24" "Few shoes in the 30-plus-year history of the Air Jordan line are as infamous as the black and red Air Jordan 1. The sneaker—known as the 'Banned' Jordan 1—has been perennially important, from the mythology around its genesis to the fervor its retros inspire. Here's how it all happened. The story goes that Michael Jordan was fined $5,000 by the NBA every time he wore the shoes during their debut in 1984 because they broke the league's uniform rules. Nike capitalized on this, creating an ad campaign that played on that forbidden fruit quality..." -Eric Pagsanjan
Purchase Diamond FAILEdoodle- Black/Black 2-Color Hand-Pulled Limited Edition Silkscreen, Acrylic, Spraypaint, Silkscreen Ink and Glitter Print on Archival Lenox Paper by Faile Rare Street Art Famous Pop Artwork Artist. 2022 Diamond FAILEdoodle: Black/Black 19 x 25 Inches Each variant an edition of 25 Acrylic, Spraypaint, Silkscreen Ink and Glitter on Archival Lenox 100 Signed, Stamped and Embossed A new breed of Faile Dog was born last year. First found on the streets of New York this pup found its way into the studio and really came to life. We've been pushing our shimmering print process lately and this felt like the perfect print to introduce this into our practice. Four different editions, two in red glitter and two in black glitter. All stained, sprayed, painted and printed; it's all the hallmarks of a studio print now with a lot more shine. Using the words of the artists themselves, the artwork “gives a person the sense that it is there just for them. That they've stumbled across this great little gem amidst the chaos of daily life that can really speak to them. We try to build in a certain ambiguity that leaves the door open for the viewer to find themselves within the story.” This relational character of the FAILE’s art corresponds and becomes amplified by their consistent travel and lack of a permanent studio until the mid-2000s. This resulted in the duo’s embracement and utilization of urban streets and, naturally, gave the produced work a “site-specific” character since public art inevitably adjusts itself to the location of the display.

Born in Seattle, Washington, Peterson's career has been shaped by his unique experiences and observations of societal dynamics, which he channels into his powerful art pieces. Peterson's signature style incorporates monochromatic figures, often depicted in scenes of brutal conflict or chaotic activity. These figures, lacking clear individuality, serve as a commentary on the universal aspects of human violence and power struggles. The raw, unsettling quality of his work challenges viewers to confront their own perceptions and biases about these challenging topics. His work has been displayed in numerous solo and group exhibitions all over the world, including Los Angeles, Paris, and Tokyo. Peterson's distinct voice in the art world has cemented his place as a significant figure in contemporary art, providing a lens through which we can examine the often uncomfortable realities of the human condition.

A significant piece from this collection, the "Cup & Brushes," serves as a testament to the artist's boundless versatility and keen eye for merging contemporary concepts with traditional mediums. Shepard Fairey- OBEY Terry Hall Tribute Silkscreen Print by Shepard Fairey- OBEY
Purchase Terry Hall Tribute Silkscreen Print by Shepard Fairey- OBEY Hand-Pulled 1-Color on Pure White Speckletone Fine Art Paper Limited Edition Artwork Obey Pop Culture Artist. 2023 Signed & Numbered Limited Edition of 325 Artwork Size 18x24 Silkscreen Print "Terry Hall, singer of the Specials, one of my favorite bands, died of pancreatic cancer a little less than a year ago. This past Saturday, Musack did an amazing tribute to Terry with a bonkers lineup, including Horace Panter and Lynval Golding of the Specials, Jane Wiedlin of the Go-Go’s, Fishbone, No Doubt (except Gwen), Tom Morello, Tim Armstrong and Jesse Michaels of Operation Ivy, Donita Sparks of L7, and others! I fell in love with the Specials in the summer of 1989, around the time I started listening to Operation Ivy and Fishbone, so to have members of all those bands celebrating Terry was incredible! I was also able to do the poster for the event based on a beautiful photo by Chalkie Davies. There are two versions of the print, one with the event lineup included and another that is a simpler tribute to Terry. The black and white print are editions of 325, but the show lineup print is a smaller quantity (edition of 300) because many were sold at the event, and all proceeds from those benefit Musack, an excellent music charity for kids. On a personal note, Terry came by my studio a couple of times, and we talked for hours. He was kind, thoughtful, and very open about life’s ups and downs. We talked about kids, mental health, insecurity, relationships, the therapeutic benefits of creativity, and many other heavy topics. He was a kindred spirit who I thought I’d be friends with for many years. This print was done with love… thanks for the tunes Terry!" -Shepard Fairey- OBEY The realm of street art, pop culture, and graffiti has witnessed countless legendary figures whose artistry has both challenged and changed perceptions. One such luminary is Shepard Fairey, the renowned artist behind the OBEY campaign, who has consistently melded activism and artistry in his works. A notable tribute by Fairey is the silkscreen print dedicated to Terry Hall, the iconic lead singer of the Specials. Terry Hall's influence in the world of music was significant, and his tragic passing due to pancreatic cancer was a tremendous loss to the music community. This sentiment was palpable when Musack hosted an astounding tribute to Hall, graced by stalwarts like Horace Panter, Lynval Golding, Jane Wiedlin, Fishbone, members of No Doubt, and numerous other eminent artists. This tribute not only celebrated Hall's legacy but also underscored the bond shared by these artists, many of whom were influenced by the Specials during their formative years. The silkscreen print crafted by Fairey serves as a testament to Hall's enduring impact on him and the broader music fraternity. The artwork, pulled by hand on fine art paper, epitomizes the meticulousness synonymous with Fairey's creations. Limited to an edition of 325, the monochromatic rendition of Hall draws inspiration from a poignant photograph by Chalkie Davies. An alternative version features the event lineup, limited to an edition of 300, with a significant portion having been sold during the event. The proceeds from this version were dedicated to Musack, a laudable charity aimed at empowering kids through music. Fairey's connection with Hall went beyond mere admiration. Their conversations, which delved deep into topics like mental health, creativity, and life's intricacies, highlighted the profound respect and mutual understanding they shared. The artist's tribute to Hall is more than just a print; it's a heartfelt homage to a kindred spirit. Through this artwork, Fairey offers the world a glimpse into their shared moments, while simultaneously emphasizing Terry Hall's undying influence in the realms of music and culture.

There is a violent history of police dogs being used to attack civil rights protesters, which contrasts intensely with the blissful perspective of white dog owners who pamper their dogs and hire dog walkers. Some of us never have to think about how the police abuse their power more frequently in non-white and lower-income communities. This “Sadistic Dog Walker” image encourages us to be aware of the “two Americas.” – Shepard

Shepard Fairey- OBEY MUSACK Terry Hall Tribute Silkscreen Print by Shepard Fairey- OBEY
Purchase MUSACK Terry Hall Tribute Silkscreen Print by Shepard Fairey- OBEY Hand-Pulled 2-Color on True White Speckletone Fine Art Paper Limited Edition Artwork Obey Pop Culture Artist. 2023 Signed & Numbered Limited Edition of 300 Artwork Size 18x24 Silkscreen Print. Lynval Golding & Team Specials, Billy Idol, Jane Wiedlin, Tim Armstrong, Tony Kanal, Tom Dumont, Adrian Young, Fishbone, Jerry Harrison, Tre Cool, Fred Armisen, Jesse Michaels. Donita Sparks. The Jg All-Stars. Bite Me Bambi. Record Safari Gig Poster "Terry Hall, singer of the Specials, one of my favorite bands, died of pancreatic cancer a little less than a year ago. This print was done with love… thanks for the tunes Terry!" -Shepard Fairey- OBEY MUSACK's tribute to the legendary Terry Hall, the iconic singer of the Specials, is encapsulated in a visually arresting silkscreen print crafted by Shepard Fairey, renowned for his OBEY art movement. This piece, hand-pulled in 2-color on True White Speckletone Fine Art Paper, is a testament to the profound influence Terry Hall had on the music industry and its fans. The artwork is an exquisite fusion of pop art, street art, and graffiti art, embodying the very essence of Terry Hall's spirit and impact on the world. Released in 2023 as a signed and numbered limited edition, with only 300 prints in circulation, the artwork measures 18x24 inches. The artistry is profound, drawing inspiration from a poignant photograph Chalkie Davies took. Two versions of this print exist, one showcasing an event lineup and the other serving as a more streamlined homage to Hall. While the black and white prints are available in editions of 325, the one bearing the event lineup is more exclusive, with a count of 300, many of which were already acquired during the event. The backstory of this piece is equally captivating. MUSACK's heartfelt tribute event celebrated Terry's life, boasting a staggering lineup of eminent musicians, from Horace Panter and Lynval Golding of the Specials to Jane Wiedlin of the Go-Go’s, Fishbone, and members of No Doubt, among others. Shepard Fairey's interactions with Terry add depth to the artwork. Terry, in his visits to Shepard's studio, revealed layers of his personality, discussing topics ranging from mental health to the therapeutic nature of creativity. Shepard saw him as a kindred spirit, and their interactions were laden with deep understanding and mutual respect. This artwork, hence, is not just an aesthetic masterpiece but a heartfelt tribute, reverberating with the essence of Terry Hall's life and legacy.
