Copyright Fallen Angel Pink Silkscreen Giclee Print by Copyright

Fallen Angel- Pink Limited Edition 2-Color Hand-Pulled Mixed media Silkscreen Print on 300gsm Fabriano Watercolour Paper by Copyright Graffiti Street Artist Modern Pop Art. "This image I first made in 2011, I released 2 colorways of it at the time that sold out. In 2013 I had my 10-year anniversary show where I was able to be nostalgic about my own work, after which I started to reprise old favorites in new ways. I made these and kept them back until the time was right. As my first print release in the USA and as an introduction to my work, it seemed like the perfect time to put them out. Angels are a reoccurring motif for me and most of my pictures draw from a bitter-sweet theme. So the image of a fallen angel is a powerfully symbolic way to portray this. I use symbols and iconography within my paintings to help build a story/narrative, usually small icons or tattoos." - Copyright

Fish Face Vase 85 is an Original Oil Painting by Peter Keil of a Kind Artwork on Masonite Panel by The Wild Man of Berlin,  a Famous Contemporary Artist. 1985 Signed by Peter Keil & Dated Oil Painting on Masonite Panel Original Artwork Size 24x24. All of Peter Keil's Art Used Thick Paint & Some Paint Flaking May Be Present Due to the Age and Nature of His Work—painting of a Highly Abstract Flower Vase. Decoding "Fish Face Vase '85" by Peter Keil "Fish Face Vase '85" emerges as a striking original oil painting on Masonite panel by Peter Keil, an artist colloquially dubbed "The Wild Man of Berlin" for his exuberant and unconventional style. Authenticated with Keil's signature and the date of creation, this 1985 piece unfolds over a 24x24 inch canvas, a testament to Keil's exploration of form and his audacious use of color. The painting presents a highly abstract interpretation of a flower vase, an everyday object transformed through Keil's imaginative lens. As typical of Keil's pieces, the thick application of paint may show signs of flaking, a natural occurrence that adds a layer of authenticity and speaks to the piece's history. In "Fish Face Vase '85," Keil harnesses the visual spontaneity often associated with Street Pop Art and graffiti Artwork. The bold contours and vibrant colors create a composition that borders the surreal, inviting viewers into a world where the conventional vase is seen anew. Keil's interpretation challenges traditional still life, reconstructing it with a playful and abstract quality that resonates with the freedom of expression found in street art. The Artistic Significance of Keil's "Fish Face Vase '85" The artistic significance of "Fish Face Vase '85" lies in its deft fusion of abstract expressionism with the graphic clarity of pop art and graffiti. Keil's approach in this painting is characterized by an intuitive handling of paint, where the medium becomes a vehicle for emotional and visual storytelling. The Masonite panel provides a robust backdrop for the heavy layers of oil paint, a medium that Keil manipulates with confidence and flair. This painting is a prime example of his ability to balance the impulsiveness of street art with the thoughtful composition of fine art. The textural quality of Keil's work, with its thick paint and potential flaking, conveys a sense of timelessness and durability akin to the lasting nature of murals that adorn the urban environment. This piece stands as a dynamic interplay between the ephemeral and the eternal, a concept at the core of graffiti art. "Fish Face Vase '85" captures the essence of this dichotomy, presenting a work anchored in the present yet evolving with time. Keil's Legacy in the Intersection of Art Forms The legacy of "Fish Face Vase '85" within the context of pop, street, and graffiti art is substantial. It symbolizes Peter Keil's innovative spirit and influential role in bridging diverse artistic practices. The painting vividly illustrates Keil's commitment to pushing the boundaries of conventional art forms, infusing them with the energy and vivacity of street art aesthetics. His work is a testament to the power of art to transcend traditional classifications, creating a dialogue that enriches the cultural tapestry of modern art. Moreover, "Fish Face Vase '85" reflects Keil's broader artistic vision, which values accessibility and engagement. His art democratizes the experience of fine art, making it relatable and resonant with a broader audience. With its abstract form and immediate visual appeal, this painting exemplifies Keil's ability to draw in the viewer and provoke a personal and reflective response. "Fish Face Vase '85" is a compelling representation of Peter Keil's artistry, characterized by a bold use of color, an embrace of the textural possibilities of oil paint, and a celebration of the imperfect and the dynamic. The painting is a poignant reminder of Keil's enduring impact on the art world and his status as an artist who effortlessly combines street art's rawness with fine art painting's sophistication. As this piece continues to captivate viewers, it secures Keil's place in the narrative of contemporary art as a visionary who challenges the viewer to see the beauty in the abstract and the everyday.

I used to buy discontinued wallpaper, but now I design and print my own. These look nice as stand-alone prints, not just repeat patterns, so I'm releasing a 200-print edition of four versions. Buy a couch to match… coming soon… just kidding!" -Shepard Fairey- OBEY. The "Floral Takeover 2017 Black Red Silkscreen Print" by Shepard Fairey encapsulates the interplay of aesthetics within Street Pop Art and graffiti Artwork, signifying a profound narrative through its intricate design and bold color scheme. This piece exemplifies how traditional elements can be transformed into a new cultural vocabulary that challenges and expands the boundaries of fine art. Featuring a rich, vibrant red background overlaid with a contrasting black floral pattern, the artwork is a striking visual statement that captures the viewer's attention. Shepard Fairey, a pivotal figure in the street art movement, often incorporates motifs that reflect social and political activism. His work is known for its ability to decorate and provoke thought and conversation, a characteristic quintessential to the graffiti art movement. Silkscreen printing allows for the precision and consistency necessary for disseminating his message, harkening back to his roots in skateboarding and punk rock culture, where screen-printed designs were a means of rebellion and identity. Silkscreen printing used in this artwork is also a nod to the pop art tradition, a method popularized by artists like Andy Warhol, who sought to erase the boundaries between 'high' art and 'low' cultural imagery. Fairey's "Floral Takeover" is a contemporary continuation of this tradition, seamlessly blending street art's spontaneity and edginess with pop art's mass appeal and commercial aesthetics. The result is a striking work of art that is accessible and deeply layered in meaning. Through this print, Fairey extends the dialogue of street art into the more permanent and collectible domain of fine art prints, allowing for the transitory nature of street graffiti to be preserved and appreciated over time. The artwork becomes an important cultural artifact, representing the ever-evolving landscape of Street Pop Art and graffiti Artwork, embodying the transformative power of art in public spaces and the ongoing conversation between art and society.

Floral Takeover 2017 Cream Red Silkscreen Print by Shepard Fairey- OBEY Hand-Pulled 2-Color on Cream Speckletone Fine Art Paper Limited Edition Artwork Obey Pop Culture Artist. 2017 Signed & Numbered Limited Edition of 200 Artwork Size 18x24 Silkscreen Print "I'm always creating new patterns for my street installs and fine art pieces. The "Floral Takeover 2017 Cream Red Silkscreen Print" is a significant entry in the oeuvre of Shepard Fairey, an artist whose work is synonymous with the intersection of Street Pop Art and graffiti Artwork. This piece is part of a limited edition of 200, each signed and numbered, denoting its value as a collectible. With dimensions of 18x24 inches, the silkscreen print is substantial enough to make a statement on any wall it adorns. Fairey, with his characteristic OBEY brand, has long been a provocateur, blending commercial art techniques with street art's subversive edge, and this work is a clear example of that fusion. Fairey's approach to creating new patterns for street installations and fine art pieces harks back to his early days when he would use discontinued wallpaper as a backdrop for his work. The transition to designing and printing his patterns demonstrates a progression in his artistic control and the evolution of his signature style. The 'Floral Takeover series showcases the artist's ability to adapt elements traditionally associated with interior design and repurpose them within the context of street art and pop culture. By doing so, Fairey blurs the lines between art as a purely aesthetic commodity and its function as a commentary on societal norms. In this print, Fairey plays with a cream speckle tone fine art paper that gives the work a textured, organic feel, contrasting with the precise and deliberate two-color silkscreen technique. The choice of cream as the base color amplifies the boldness of the red floral pattern, allowing the design to leap off the paper with a vivacity that captures the viewer's eye. The juxtaposition of color and form symbolizes Fairey's work, where contrast often serves as a visual metaphor for broader cultural and political contrasts. Moreover, the 'Floral Takeover' print series reflects Fairey's humor and his recognition of the interplay between art and the commercial world, as hinted at in his playful suggestion to "buy a couch to match." This statement encapsulates the artist's awareness of the commodification of art in pop culture and his role within that process. Through works like this, Fairey continues to challenge perceptions of what street art can be, bridging the gap between graffiti's rebel spirit and gallery pieces' polished finish.

Through works like this, Fairey continues challenging perceptions of what street art can be, bridging the gap between graffiti's rebel spirit and gallery pieces' polished finish.

  • Force of Nature Silkscreen Print by Shepard Fairey- OBEY

Shepard Fairey- OBEY Force of Nature Silkscreen Print by Shepard Fairey- OBEY

Force of Nature Silkscreen Print by Shepard Fairey- OBEY Hand-Pulled 5-Color on Cream Speckletone Fine Art Paper Limited Edition Artwork Obey Pop Culture Artist. 2023 Signed & Numbered Limited Edition of 550 Artwork Size 18x24 Silkscreen Print "This "Force of Nature" is both a celebration of nature and a cautionary tale. Waves are beautiful and represent a powerful, hypnotic rhythmic cycle, but waves can be incredibly destructive when energized by a storm. The semi-predictable seasonal flooding patterns from the Tigris and Euphrates rivers in Mesopotamia led to fertile land and the formation of Sumer, the first civilization. Humans have thrived by studying and adapting to weather patterns. An awareness of and respect for the undulations of nature has been crucial to the development of civilization and the success of its various communities. Climate change has demonstrated what happens to civilization when nature becomes more powerful and less predictable. From hurricanes Sandy, Katrina, and many others to uncontrollable wildfires in CA, tornadoes in the midwest, and record temperatures and heat-related deaths in Europe, where many lack air-conditioning, civilization is often unequipped to deal with the global warming-fuelled force of nature. A portion of proceeds from this print go to Greenpeace USA's efforts to fight for responsible environmental policies. Thanks for caring!" -Shepard Fairey- OBEY The Artistic Significance of "Force of Nature" Shepard Fairey's "Force of Nature" is a thought-provoking silkscreen print that captures the tumultuous beauty of the natural world and the poignant message of environmental awareness. As a leading figure in street pop art and graffiti artwork, Fairey, with his OBEY brand, has often melded aesthetic appeal with social commentary, and this piece is no exception. The 2023 signed and numbered limited edition of 550, sized 18x24 inches, is a visual spectacle and a statement on the precarious balance between human civilization and the natural forces that both sustain and threaten it. "Force of Nature" is a hallmark of Fairey's work, showcasing his mastery of the silkscreen medium with a hand-pulled 5-color process on cream speckletone fine art paper. The artwork presents a wave in mid-crescendo, a snapshot of nature's raw power and grace. The contrast between the serene sky and the raging sea encapsulates the dual nature of water as both life-giving and destructive, a theme that resonates deeply in the current climate of ecological uncertainty. The piece reflects Fairey's acute awareness of the environment's rhythms and the disruptions caused by climate change. By choosing the wave as a central motif, Fairey alludes to the cycles of nature that have enabled human progress, such as the flooding of the Tigris and Euphrates rivers, which nourished the cradle of civilization. However, the storm-energized wave symbolizes the potential for destruction, as seen in recent natural disasters exacerbated by climate change. This duality of creation and chaos lies at the heart of the "Force of Nature" print. Environmental Advocacy Through Art Fairey's work is not content with mere representation; it seeks to galvanize action. By partnering with Greenpeace USA and dedicating some proceeds to fight for responsible environmental policies, "Force of Nature" exemplifies how art can be a change agent. The print is a clarion call to respect and adapt to the undulations of nature, emphasizing that civilization's success hinges on its ability to coexist with the Earth's powerful and unpredictable forces. The "Force of Nature" print reflects the human cost of ecological disasters, from hurricanes to wildfires, tornadoes, and extreme temperatures. Fairey's portrayal of the wave conveys the urgent need for awareness and preparedness in these challenges. It is a reminder that while nature's patterns have fostered human thriving, our current trajectory risks upsetting this delicate balance with potentially catastrophic consequences. Shepard Fairey's Ongoing Legacy in Art and Activism Shepard Fairey has consistently committed to merging his artistic endeavors with activism, and the "Force of Nature" print continues this ethos. His work in the street pop art and graffiti art scenes has often carried a message, whether advocating for peace, justice, or environmental stewardship. Fairey's legacy is one of provocation and inspiration, challenging viewers to engage with critical issues through art. "Force of Nature" is a testament to Fairey's artistic skill and his role as a cultural commentator and environmental advocate. Through its evocative imagery and message, the print underscores the potential for art to transcend aesthetic boundaries and become a catalyst for social and ecological progress. In the broader context of street pop art and graffiti artwork, "Force of Nature" exemplifies how these art forms can contribute to meaningful conversations. Fairey's print invites discourse on our relationship with the planet, urging a collective reevaluation of how we interact with the forces that shape our existence. Art can inform, influence, and incite through works like this, playing a crucial role in shaping the future of our civilization and our world.

The elephant and my wife Amanda meditating relate to the Buddhist philosophy that humans are part of nature, not above it, and must live in harmony with nature. The phrase "Rise Above" references transcendence but is also one of my favorite Black Flag songs. The graphic elements also reference the aesthetics of travel tags and tickets, which present a dichotomy… travel is great for broadening cultural perspective, but it has a heavy carbon impact. Karma asks us to consider the benefits and consequences of our actions. All of my prints are printed on recycled or sustainable paper. A portion of the proceeds from this print will benefit Greenpeace to support their work to enhance environmental protections and combat climate change." -Shepard Fairey. Delving into pop and street art, the "Fragile Cargo AP" silkscreen print by renowned artist Shepard Fairey is a testament to the dynamic confluence of art, philosophy, and environmental consciousness. Hand-pulled and crafted meticulously on fine art paper, this limited edition artist proof from 2022 manifests an intricate fusion of inspiration sources. The composition, with its arresting visuals of an elephant juxtaposed with the serene face of Fairey's wife, Amanda, draws heavily from Buddhist philosophy. The art underscores the interdependence of humanity and nature, emphasizing the belief that humans do not preside over nature but are inherently a part of it. This intricate blend of artistic expression with philosophical musings is a hallmark of Fairey's work. The term "Rise Above," embedded within the artwork, serves a dual purpose. While it signals transcendence and aligns with the broader philosophical underpinnings of the print, it is also an homage to one of Fairey's favorite songs by Black Flag, a classic American punk rock band. Simultaneously, the design elements, reminiscent of travel tags and vintage airline tickets, invoke a reflection on the complexities of modern travel. The allure of travel, which offers an enriched cultural perspective, is weighed against its environmental impact, specifically the carbon footprint associated with it. Echoing this ecological consciousness, Fairey ensures all his prints are produced on recycled or sustainably sourced paper. Beyond this, a portion of the proceeds from the sale of "Fragile Cargo AP" is dedicated to Greenpeace, highlighting Fairey's commitment to supporting environmental causes and combating the dire challenges of climate change. Through this artwork, Shepard Fairey weaves an intricate tapestry of visual splendor, philosophical depth, and environmental advocacy, reaffirming his position as a luminary in pop and street art.
