The use of the US flag in graffiti street art can be a complex and controversial issue. On one hand, the flag is a powerful symbol of American identity and values, and its inclusion in art can be seen as a way to express patriotism or pride in the country. On the other hand, graffiti is often associated with rebellion and anti-establishment sentiment, which may conflict with the ideals represented by the flag.In addition, the use of the US flag in graffiti street art can also be viewed as a form of political commentary or social critique. For example, an artist may use the flag to make a statement about issues such as inequality, injustice, or government corruption. In this context, the flag may be used ironically or satirically, highlighting the gap between American ideals and the reality of social and political conditions. It's worth noting that the use of the US flag in graffiti street art is not necessarily illegal, but it can still be seen as disrespectful or offensive to some viewers. As with any form of public art, the inclusion of the flag should be considered carefully and with sensitivity to its cultural and historical significance.

Cleon Peterson Freedom/Prosperity At Any Price- Red Silkscreen Print by Cleon Peterson
Freedom/Prosperity At Any Price- Red Limited Edition Hand Pulled 2-Color Screenprint Print on 290gsm Arches Rag Paper with Deckled Edges by Cleon Peterson Graffiti Street Artist Modern Pop Art. Hand-pulled 18 x 24" screenprint. Printed on 290gsm Arches Rag paper with deckled edges. Each print is signed and numbered. Limited edition of 125. The visuality of Cleon Peterson's work is based on a variety of influences, from ancient Greek pottery to comics, resulting in monochromacy and strong color symbolism. In more detail, the figures exist on multiple straight lines, something that, subsequently, creates the illusion that the artwork is divided in levels. The perspective and the impression of depth do moderately exist in the art of Peterson and, just like in Greek vases, the background space is usually left empty or slightly embellished.

Denial- Daniel Bombardier Platinum Plus Silkscreen Print by Denial- Daniel Bombardier
Platinum Plus Limited Edition 9-Color Hand-Pulled Silkscreen Print on Fine Art Paper by Denial Graffiti Street Artist Modern Pop Art. 2020 Signed Limited Edition of 80 Artwork Size 24x18 In 2000 he adopted the moniker ‘DENIAL’ as a means of poking fun at advertising, politics, and media messages that contemporary society is often ‘in denial’ about. Since then he has maintained an ongoing global street-campaign of over 500, 000 stickers, placards, and murals, using the alpha-numeric characters ‘D3N!@L’. Intended as a conceptual means of marketing absurdism, DENIAL also challenges traditional notions of graffiti and public art through his bold and often satirical visual subversions. Denial has evolved as one the most prominent figures of contemporary pop artists, who nonetheless, continue to stay relevant and is interested in generating thought-provoking commentary. He has a long history of exploring the boundaries of appropriation, which he uses as a means of subverting the value of cultural products, imprinted in the collective memory of the Western civilization. His work, in other words, is inviting the viewer to re-imagine our dystopian society as a way of confronting it, with humor and irony as the biggest tools of the artist.

Ron English Uncle Scam Ad Flag Giclee Print by Ron English
Flush Giclee Print by Ron English Artwork Limited Edition Print on Fine Art Paper Graffiti Pop Street Artist. 2022 Signed & Numbered Limited Edition of 30 Artwork Size 37x25 Uncle Scam Ad Flag Giclee Print is a work of art by Ron English, a contemporary American artist known for his thought-provoking, often satirical and subversive street art, paintings, and sculptures. English is famous for creating art that highlights the absurdity of modern society, often blending elements of pop culture, advertising, and politics. In this particular piece, the artist critiques consumerism and the advertising industry by combining elements of the American flag with a caricature of Uncle Sam, who is transformed into "Uncle Scam." The term "Uncle Scam" refers to the idea that the advertising industry often manipulates consumers and promotes excessive materialism, which can be detrimental to society as a whole. A giclee print is a high-quality digital printing method that is capable of producing vivid and detailed reproductions of artwork. This process uses specialized inkjet printers and archival-quality inks, which are applied to various substrates, such as canvas or fine art paper, to create a long-lasting and visually appealing print. Denial- Daniel Bombardier American Daydream Foil Silkscreen Print by Denial- Daniel Bombardier
American Daydream- Foil Limited Edition 9-Color Hand-Pulled Silkscreen Print on 10pt Lava Foil Holographic Fine Art Paper by Artist Denial. 2021 Signed & Numbered Limited Edition of 30 9-Color Screen Print on 10pt Lava Foil Holographic Fine Art Paper Size: 18 x 24 Inches Release March 09, 2021 Denial's "American Daydream" and Its Reflection on Modern Street Pop Art & Graffiti Artwork "American Daydream - Foil" by the artist Denial is a potent representation of contemporary street pop art and graffiti, merging commercial aesthetics with a subversive edge. Released on March 09, 2021, this limited edition print is a significant piece that comments on the nature of American culture and the commodification of the American dream. Limited to a run of just 30 pieces, this 9-color hand-pulled silkscreen print on 10pt lava foil holographic fine art paper is a testament to the exclusivity and precision of Denial's work. Measuring 18 x 24 inches, "American Daydream - Foil" is a visual spectacle that dazzles with its reflective foil background, creating a dynamic interplay of light and color that challenges the viewer's perceptions. The use of lava foil holographic paper is particularly striking as a metaphor for the American psyche's multiple, often contradictory, layers. Denial's piece captures the essence of pop art through its use of a familiar comic style juxtaposed with a psychedelic palette that seems to shift and shimmer with the viewer's movement. The artwork features a crying female figure, a recurring motif in pop art, evoking the emotional disconnect between reality and the pursuit of happiness within the framework of the American dream. Denial's signature style incorporates bold, graphic elements and a keen sense of irony. By using silkscreen printing, a technique popularized in pop art by artists like Andy Warhol, Denial connects with the roots of the movement while pushing its boundaries through modern materials and themes. Contemporary Commentary through Limited Edition Art Denial's "American Daydream - Foil" is more than a visually stunning piece; it is a commentary on the glossy veneer of American life and the underlying complexities that the facade conceals. Each of the 30 prints is signed and numbered by the artist, adding a layer of authenticity and collectibility that is highly valued in the street pop art and graffiti art communities. Collectors and admirers of Denial's work appreciate the aesthetic qualities of his prints and the thought-provoking messages they convey. The limited edition nature of "American Daydream - Foil" symbolizes the street pop art scene's transition from ephemeral street murals to coveted fine art pieces. Denial's decision to release such a small edition underscores the desire to maintain the exclusivity and integrity of the piece. This principle is often at the heart of street pop art and graffiti artwork. In the hands of collectors, these prints are not merely decorative items but are held as cultural artifacts that encapsulate a moment in time and a particular sentiment or critique. In essence, Denial's work exemplifies the evolution of street pop art and graffiti artwork into a form that reflects and is critical of the culture it arises from. "American Daydream - Foil" serves as a mirror to society, reflecting the complexities of the American experience through the lens of pop art. It is a bold statement on the nature of dreams and reality, commercialism, and the individual's place within the broader tapestry of society. The work's limited edition status ensures that it remains a distinctive and sought-after piece within the dynamic world of contemporary art.

Saber Triple Made in USA Flag Slap-Up Label Sticker Original Tag Art by Saber
Triple Made in USA Flag Slap-Up Label Sticker Original Tag Art by Saber Original Permanent Marker Art Drawing on Glossy US Flag Sticker by Graffiti Artist Modern Street Artwork. 2020 Signed 3x Uncut US Flag Made in USA America Original Slap Up Graffiti Art Tag 12x4 Marker Tagged on Sticker. The Fusion of Patriotism and Rebellion: Street Pop Art & Graffiti Artwork The artwork under scrutiny exemplifies a vibrant confluence of street art ethos and patriotic expression. At first glance, the piece presents itself as a defiant act of embellishment on a symbol of national pride, the American flag, with a repetitive assertion of domestic production - "Made in the USA." Yet, upon closer inspection, it reveals a layered dialogue between the artist's intent and the viewer's interpretation, characteristic of street pop art and graffiti artwork. Saber, the artist behind this creation, is a recognized figure within the street art community. His contributions have been instrumental in elevating graffiti as a legitimate form of contemporary art. Born in the United States, Saber's works often imbue a sense of national identity while simultaneously challenging the status quo. Through his art, he manifests a unique blend of patriotism and critique, a duality especially palpable in this piece. Symbolism and Significance in Saber's Artwork The triptych form of the uncut sticker sheet intensifies the impact of the message "Made in USA," iterated thrice for emphasis. Each flag is a canvas for Saber's signature tagged style, where the fluidity and boldness of his lines are pronounced against the structured backdrop of the stars and stripes. The choice of a glossy US flag sticker as a medium is deliberate, enhancing the interplay of textures and finishes, a hallmark of street pop art. Saber's use of permanent markers to draw over the stickers indicates the permanence of the sentiments expressed through the artwork. The stark black scribbles, chaotic and vigorous, convey a sense of urgency and raw emotion that often accompanies national identity and production discussions. The act of tagging over a national symbol can be seen as a form of social and political commentary, a conversation starter on topics ranging from patriotism to consumerism in American society. Contextualizing Saber's Work in Modern Street Art In the landscape of modern street art, Saber's work stands out for its fearless confrontation with political themes and its nuanced examination of American identity. His 2020 series of tagged US flag stickers holds a mirror to the complexities of the "American Dream" and the realities of the country's manufacturing ethos. By overlaying graffiti art onto an emblem of national pride, Saber challenges viewers to reconsider their perceptions of the flag and graffiti as an art form. The graffiti artist's employment of slap-up labels, a street art staple, underscores the transient nature of the medium. Traditionally, slap-ups are quickly affixed to surfaces in public spaces, intended for mass consumption, and often subject to removal or decay. In contrast, Saber's work immortalizes this ephemeral technique, transforming the slap-up into a lasting artifact of cultural expression. The fusion of graffiti with the iconic flag imagery in this artwork invites discourse on the dichotomy between established norms and subversive acts. It is a testament to the evolving narrative of street pop art, where the boundaries between the sanctioned and the insurgent are blurred. Saber's art does not just occupy physical space; it occupies the mental space of contemplation, urging an engagement with its underlying messages. Saber's triple "Made in USA" flag stickers stand as a poignant example of how street pop art and graffiti can encapsulate complex socio-political themes within a singular visual experience. It is a striking reminder of the power inherent in street art to communicate, challenge, and engage on levels that transcend the visual, firmly establishing Saber's position within the pantheon of contemporary street artists.

Jon Burgerman United Tastes Of America Silkscreen Print by Jon Burgerman
United Tastes Of America Limited Edition 2-Color Hand-Pulled Silkscreen Print on 130lb Mohawk Vellum Fine Art Paper by Jon Burgerman Graffiti Street Artist Modern Pop Art. "I decided to make flags for each game of the World Cup I watched this Summer. I wanted to spread my support for different countries and feel more like a global citizen, without any political or geographical ties. That’s the greatest gift football and other sports can offer, they can genuinely bring disparate people together for play.I re-imagined flags of different countries, adding a playful reference to that country within the design of the flag. America has one of the best flag designs there is, I really love it, and it was a lot of fun to work on. The first edition of this flag was with a burger and fries but the fries didn’t quite look right in red, so I turned them into bacon. Everyone seems to love bacon." - Jon Burgerman
