Anne Siems

Anne Siems is a contemporary painter based in Seattle, Washington. She was born in Germany and received her formal art education in Hamburg, Germany, where she studied graphic design and illustration. Siems moved to the United States in 1985, settling in Seattle where she has been living and working ever since. Siems' work is characterized by a distinctive style that blends elements of traditional portraiture with contemporary influences. Her paintings typically feature female figures, often portrayed in a dreamlike, surrealistic manner. Siems uses a muted color palette and a range of techniques to create texture and depth in her work, including layering and glazing.
