I wanted to give Colonel Jack O'Neil and Dr. Daniel Jackson a glimpse of what awaited them at the other end of the wormhole. The two characters view their journey in different ways. Dr. Jackson's journey is filled with childlike wonder seeing something magnificent and awe-inspiring while Colonel O'Neil bears an atomic bomb capable of producing cataclysmic results. We learn later in the film that the character of Ra is an alien life form who possessed the body of a young boy. I wanted to touch on this and add some tension to the image by showing his glowing blue eyes. The print is 8 colors and features 4 varieties of metallic gold and copper inks. There is also a hidden star chart in the background printed in a shiny black varnish." -Todd Slater

  • Keepers AP Artist Proof Archival Print by Kevin Peterson

Kevin Peterson Keepers AP Artist Proof Archival Print by Kevin Peterson

Keepers Archival Pigment Fine Art Limited Edition Print on Hand Deckled 300gsm Signa Smooth Paper by Artist Kevin Peterson, Street Pop Art Graffiti Legend. AP Artist Proof 2021 Signed 24x18 Signed & Marked AP Limited Edition Kevin Peterson’s Keepers: Urban Innocence and Wild Guardians in Street Pop Art Kevin Peterson’s Keepers is a 24 x 18 inch archival pigment print on hand-deckled 300gsm Signa Smooth fine art paper, created in 2021 as a signed Artist Proof. The piece depicts a young Black boy sitting between two life-sized lionesses, positioned in front of a graffitied brick wall in an overgrown urban landscape. A small bird perches gently atop one lioness’s head. The work is a stunning blend of realism and fantasy, balancing emotional weight and visual poetry through the lens of Street Pop Art & Graffiti Artwork. Peterson’s signature approach layers meticulous oil painting technique over scenes marked by decay and spray-painted ephemera. The boy, dressed simply in a blue shirt and sneakers, is calm and observant, caught between the raw strength of the lions and the weathered city backdrop. His placement evokes resilience, curiosity, and alertness, not fear. The lions appear both majestic and protective—symbols of strength standing silently guard. A small crown tag painted on the wall near the child’s head further suggests that the boy is a figure of quiet power, royalty in an environment many would dismiss as ruined. The Coexistence of Vulnerability and Power Peterson’s work consistently explores the tension between innocence and chaos, often through the juxtaposition of children and animals in deteriorating cityscapes. In Keepers, the lions are not exotic intrusions but natural extensions of the boy’s presence. Their positioning and gaze imply protection and mutual trust. The graffiti behind them reinforces the setting as a lived, layered, and expressive space—not abandoned, but alive. Rather than present the street as hostile, Peterson renders it as a cradle for self-discovery and wild imagination. The inclusion of street art within the composition is essential. Tags and throw-ups become not just background detail, but active storytelling elements. The visual language of graffiti in Keepers underscores Peterson’s understanding of the street as a canvas for resistance, identity, and unseen beauty. It functions both as setting and subtext—chaotic but deeply human. The crumbling bricks and peeling paint contrast with the organic stillness of the lions, creating a dialogue between constructed decay and natural presence. Mythic Realism in Street-Informed Fine Art Though not a graffiti artist in the traditional sense, Kevin Peterson’s contribution to Street Pop Art & Graffiti Artwork lies in his mastery of urban allegory. His figures—often children surrounded by wild animals—are both symbolic and deeply grounded. They echo mythologies of guardianship, transformation, and sacred innocence, reframed within modern cityscapes. Keepers is both intimate and monumental, delivering a narrative that is both universal and specific. By placing a child in direct visual symmetry with apex predators, Peterson upends traditional power dynamics. The boy is neither victim nor observer—he is central, calm, and seen. The image resists the usual visual tropes of fear or wonder, opting instead for presence. It’s a portrait of strength without noise, protection without spectacle. Through realism heightened by surreal composition, Keepers offers a vision of urban identity that is fierce, gentle, and imaginatively untamed. It is a meditation on survival, dignity, and the unseen forces that walk with us through concrete jungles.

Raid71 Spider Man Homecoming AP Foil Silkscreen Print by Raid71

Spider-man Homecoming Foil AP Artist Proof Silkscreen Print by Raid71 Hand-Pulled on Holofoil Fine Art Paper Limited Edition Pop Street Art Artwork. AP Artist Proof 2023 Signed & AP40 Artwork Size 24x36 Holographic Foil Silkscreen Print by Raid71 Spider-Man Homecoming Foil AP Silkscreen Print by Raid71 The Spider-Man Homecoming Foil AP Silkscreen Print by Raid71 is a radiant collision of cinematic intensity and vibrant Street Pop Art & Graffiti Artwork aesthetics. Released as an Artist Proof in 2023, this 24x36 inch hand-pulled silkscreen was printed on holographic foil fine art paper, giving the already dynamic composition an additional kinetic surge. Signed and marked AP40 by Raid71, this limited edition encapsulates not only the Marvel Studios legacy but also the visual vocabulary of contemporary pop-infused print culture. Cinematic Composition and Street-Level Urgency This piece by Raid71, the alias of British illustrator Chris Thornley, electrifies the familiar Spider-Man narrative by focusing on a climactic aerial showdown from Spider-Man: Homecoming. The scene is depicted through a tense and chaotic composition. Spider-Man is framed in mid-action inside a circular engine aperture as he clashes with the Vulture, portrayed in the pilot's seat. The background bursts with the neon blaze of a theme park and city grid—a fever dream of hot red, orange, blue, and yellow dots that mimic both street signage and motion blur. The entire composition places viewers inside the chaos, as if looking from the Vulture’s cockpit, blurring the boundary between viewer, villain, and action. Raid71’s use of dynamic foreshortening and vibrant urban textures speaks directly to the aesthetics of graffiti wall compositions. There is a deliberate sense of motion and disruption, as angular lines, glowing pixel-like dots, and radial spirals converge. The artist blends comic book panel design with architectural scale and cinematic scale, making the print feel like a mural that exploded from the theater wall and into the street. Technique and Medium: Holofoil Spectacle The use of holographic foil stock is not merely decorative; it transforms the print into an interactive object. Light bends and scatters across the foil’s surface, animating the explosive colors and the depth of the print depending on the viewing angle. The reflective quality of the foil complements the digital chaos of the artwork, symbolizing the modern hyper-visual era of superhero storytelling and consumer saturation. Every silkscreen layer adheres tightly to the foil, with precision color trapping that lets Raid71’s palette vibrate in space. Unlike traditional paper editions, the foil version pushes the graphic language into full sensory overdrive. It mimics the pop sheen of commercial branding and street poster art but elevates it to a level of fine craftsmanship. Raid71 and the Fusion of Fine Art and Pop Spectacle Raid71’s body of work bridges high-level commercial illustration, subversive pop art themes, and the street art ethos of layered imagery and rapid visual engagement. His reinterpretation of Marvel’s Spider-Man universe reflects how modern superheroes function as icons in both art and advertising. This print captures the duality of Spider-Man’s place between adolescence and responsibility, surveillance and action, chaos and order. The Spider-Man Homecoming Foil AP is a visual powerhouse—a fine art piece rooted in the visual vocabulary of graffiti, animation, comic culture, and digital saturation. It’s a reminder that pop art does not rest in nostalgia; it moves forward with velocity, urgency, and unmistakable aesthetic aggression. This print doesn't just celebrate Spider-Man; it embodies the impact of superhero myth in the modern visual world.

This three-color hand-pulled silkscreen print on 100% cotton rag archival paper reflects the essence of what street pop art and graffiti artwork stand for - a blend of aesthetic appeal and a strong message. Created in 2010, the 'Saboteur' is not only a visually striking piece but also one laden with symbolism and meaning. The 'Saboteur' showcases Kinsey's skill in using limited color palettes to create depth and narrative. The stark contrast of the orange background against the black-and-white imagery of the Statue of Liberty immediately captures the viewer's attention. The choice of the Statue of Liberty as the central figure is remarkably evocative, symbolizing freedom and the American spirit. However, Kinsey's portrayal is not one of patriotic triumph but rather a nuanced critique, perhaps a comment on the state of liberty in contemporary society. A Limited Edition Piece with a Timeless Message This artwork, marked as an Artist Proof (AP), signifies its status as part of a unique subset of prints often kept by the artist for personal use or sold as precious pieces to collectors. The use of 100% cotton rag archival paper speaks to the quality and durability of the print, designed to withstand the test of time without losing its color and integrity. The Impact of 'Saboteur' in Street Pop Art and Graffiti Artwork In the broader context of street pop art and graffiti artwork, the 'Saboteur' stands out as a beacon of Kinsey's style and the political edge often found in this genre. Street art, known for its transient nature, is painted on walls and surfaces of the public domain. By transforming such a piece into a silkscreen print, Kinsey bridges the gap between street art's ephemeral nature and fine art's longevity. This piece allows the rebellious spirit of street art to enter homes and galleries, preserving its message and aesthetic for future generations. The 'Saboteur' is not just a piece of art; it's a conversation starter, a statement, and history. It encapsulates the turbulent emotions and the critical discourse of the time it was created, yet its message remains timeless. As a work of modern pop art, it embodies the cultural and political atmosphere of the early 21st century, reflecting the artist's perception of liberty and the societal structures that govern it. Dave Kinsey's Ongoing Legacy and 'Saboteur's' Place Within It The continuing legacy of Dave Kinsey as an influential figure in street pop art and graffiti artwork is further cemented by works like 'Saboteur.' He has consistently demonstrated an ability to convey powerful messages through his art; this print is no exception. For collectors, enthusiasts, and students of street pop art and graffiti artwork, 'Saboteur' represents a pinnacle of Kinsey's artistic endeavors, encapsulating his message, medium, and method. Pieces like this ensure Kinsey's place in the annals of modern art is secure and revered. • Nemeta II AP Giclee Print by Rodrigo Rod Luff

Rod Luff Nemeta II AP Giclee Print by Rodrigo Rod Luff

Nemeta II AP Artist Proof Artwork Giclee Limited Edition Print on Fine Art Paper by Pop Culture Graffiti Artist Rodrigo Rod Luff. AP Artist Proof 2016 Signed & Marked AP Limited edition Giclee Artwork Size 24x16 Rodrigo Rod Luff’s Nemeta II: Mythic Reverie and Natural Illumination Rodrigo Rod Luff’s Nemeta II, created in 2016 as a signed Artist Proof giclée print measuring 24 x 16 inches, immerses the viewer in a fantastical vision where nature, femininity, and inner stillness converge under a glowing dreamscape. This fine art work presents a young woman asleep among thick roots and river-worn stone, her body curved gently into the earth as though reclaimed by it. Surrounding her are glowing fungi and an owl with radiant wings, all rendered in Luff’s signature style—an ethereal realism that merges botanical detail with supernatural light. The piece draws its title from the Celtic term nemeton, a sacred grove or ritual space in pre-Christian druidic tradition. This reference places the scene in a liminal zone where nature functions as sanctuary, memory, and threshold. The setting—a shadowed forest floor rich with tangled roots and luminous flora—feels both otherworldly and deeply grounded. The sleeping figure is not isolated but embraced by her surroundings, as if in communion with the unseen energies of the landscape. Her dress fades from pink to green to yellow, echoing the colors of sunrise, of chlorophyll, of renewal. The entire image speaks in the visual language of transcendence. Bioluminescence and Symbolic Companionship At the center of Nemeta II is not just the woman, but the owl perched behind her, its wings half-unfurled in a protective gesture. Owls in myth often represent guardianship, inner sight, and hidden wisdom. Here, the owl glows with the same internal light as the clusters of golden fungi that dot the earth and roots around them. This luminous quality does not come from an external source but seems to emerge from the environment itself—a recurring element in Rodrigo Rod Luff’s work, where light becomes metaphysical, a symbol of spirit, memory, and awakening. The presence of glowing mushrooms offers further symbolic layering. Bioluminescent fungi have long fascinated cultures as symbols of the unseen and the mysterious, often linked to transformation and rebirth. Luff’s rendering of them as sources of light—scattered across the terrain like constellations fallen to earth—elevates them beyond mere detail. They are storytellers within the environment, echoing the idea that everything in the forest is alive, observing, and interconnected. Nature Reimagined Through Pop-Inflected Magic Realism While Nemeta II is not rooted in street or graffiti practice, it reflects the sensibility of contemporary Street Pop Art in its fearless blending of classical painting technique with fantastical subject matter. Luff’s hyper-detailed brushwork recalls Old Master traditions, but the surreal composition, vibrant color schemes, and immersive atmosphere align with a pop-influenced aesthetic that embraces spectacle, emotion, and dream logic. Luff creates worlds where myth feels contemporary, and where nature is charged with divine energy. Nemeta II functions as a visual refuge—lush, glowing, and untamed—while simultaneously posing existential questions about connection, rest, and the cycles of life. It is a still moment suspended between light and shadow, waking and dreaming, reality and myth. In a cultural landscape often defined by noise, this work invites silence, introspection, and reverence. Rodrigo Rod Luff’s Nemeta II is not escapist fantasy; it is a reclamation of the sacred in the everyday, rendered through intense color, symbolic detail, and emotional stillness. It invites the viewer to remember what it means to be in harmony with the wild—to dream with eyes open, and to listen to the light beneath the roots.

AP Artist Proofs: Elevating the Essence of Street Pop and Graffiti Art

AP (Artist Proof) artworks and prints play an integral role in the tapestry of street pop art and graffiti artwork, embodying a blend of historical reverence and contemporary relevance. Originally, artist proofs were exclusive prints from traditional printmaking, used by artists as a personal reference to monitor the progress and quality of their work. In street pop and graffiti art, however, these proofs have evolved into symbols of authenticity, exclusivity, and artistic exploration. The transformation of the artist's proof's significance from a mere check during the printmaking process to a coveted collector's item is remarkable. In street pop and graffiti art, where authenticity and originality are highly valued, AP artworks and prints command a special status. Marked distinctively with 'AP' to denote their exclusivity, these limited-run prints are identical in quality to the main edition. Still, they are unique due to their limited number and direct link to the artist. This exclusivity makes them desirable to collectors and allows the artists to retain a more personal connection with some of their creations.

Understanding AP Artist Proof Fine Art Artworks & Prints in Street Pop Art and Graffiti Artwork

In the dynamic and evolving world of street pop art and graffiti artwork, AP (artist-proof) artworks and prints hold a special place. Originally a term used in traditional printmaking, an Artist Proof was a print taken during the printmaking process to see the state of a plate (or screen, stone, block, etc.) while it was being worked on. These proofs were not meant for public sale; they were personal pieces for the artist's collection. However, in contemporary times, especially in street pop art and graffiti artwork, the concept of Artist Proofs has taken on a new significance. AP artworks and prints in the context of street pop and graffiti art are often seen as a mark of authenticity and exclusivity. These pieces are typically part of a limited run of prints, separate from the main edition. They are identical in quality and appearance to the main edition prints but are often numbered differently, usually marked with 'AP' or 'Artist Proof.' The tradition of creating Artist Proofs continues as a homage to the historical practices of printmaking, and it also serves as a way for artists to retain a portion of their work for personal archives or special distributions.

Significance of AP Fine Artworks in the Street Pop and Graffiti Art Community

The allure of AP artworks in street pop and graffiti art comes from their limited availability and direct connection to the artist. Collectors and enthusiasts often view Fine Art prints as more valuable due to their rarity and the perceived closer relationship to the artist's original intent. In a world where reproductions and mass-produced art are commonplace, AP prints stand out for their uniqueness and the personal touch they represent. This scarcity often leads to a higher demand and potentially higher market value, making them a coveted item among collectors. Moreover, the production of AP prints allows artists in the street pop and graffiti art scene to experiment and innovate. Artists might use the AP prints to test different color schemes, materials, or finishing techniques, making each AP a replication and a unique piece. This experimentation is integral to the ever-evolving nature of street and graffiti art, where artists constantly push the boundaries of conventional art.

Rarity and Value in the Art Market

The rarity of AP prints in the street pop and graffiti art scene enhances their allure and, often, their market value. In an era where art is frequently mass-produced and widely distributed, the limited availability of AP prints heightens their desirability. Collectors and art enthusiasts prize these prints for their perceived closeness to the artist's original vision and the sense of owning a unique piece of art history. This rarity is not just a matter of quantity; it's a testament that each AP print has a unique path from the artist's hands to the collector's. For street pop and graffiti artists, AP prints serve as an avenue for experimentation. These proofs allow artists to try different color schemes, materials, or finishes, deviating from the standard edition. This experimentation is crucial in street and graffiti art, where innovation and defying norms are at the heart of the craft. Each AP print, therefore, is not just a replication of the original artwork but also a standalone piece with its distinct character.

AP Artworks as a Cultural and Artistic Statement

In the broader cultural context, AP prints in street pop and graffiti artwork represent more than just a physical piece of art. They symbolize the rebellion against traditional art norms, where street and graffiti artists have long fought for recognition in the mainstream art world. Owning an AP print from a renowned street or graffiti artist is not just about possessing a rare item; it's about supporting and acknowledging the significance of these art forms in the contemporary art narrative. This cultural significance is further amplified by the stories and messages often embedded in street pop and graffiti art. These artworks frequently comment on social, political, and cultural issues, offering a raw and unfiltered perspective often missing from conventional art forms. AP prints of such artworks carry with them the weight of these messages, serving as a reminder of the power of art as a tool for social commentary and change. AP Artist Proof artworks and prints are vital in street pop art and graffiti artwork. They are a testament to these art forms' unique history, creative innovation, and cultural significance, bridging the gap between traditional art practices and contemporary art expressions. Their rarity and connection to the artist's personal touch make them valuable collectibles and a symbol of the evolving narrative of street and graffiti art in the global art scene. AP Artist Proof artworks and prints hold an esteemed position in street pop art and graffiti artwork.
