Angles Of Elevation Limited Edition Archival Pigment Prints on 300gsm Fine Art Paper by Vans The Omega Graffiti Street Artist Modern Pop Art. "‘Angles of Elevation’ was the prize geometric piece of my recent show "Into The Light" and is the amalgamation of the past 7 years of trial and error, research and development painting geometric illusion within my fine artworks both in the studio and on large scale walls. I think this piece represents discovery within and the journey we make during life. The science behind geometry in the healing arts isn’t readily taught but is something I have spent many years studying and being open to on a personal and professional level. My belief and knowledge of the healing power that Art creates is a large goal of my practice in Art, both for others and myself alike. Apart from the piece serving an aesthetic appeal, the greatest aim is to reveal something about yourself while taking in the work. Visually this work came together through a series of visions that I have strived to fulfill. The dimension of this piece was my greatest challenge while giving a mixture of etheric and harder edges to push and pull the eye through space so that harmony is met." - Vans The Omega

"This piece is inspired by my lack of patience and understanding of my brother's mental illness which is a combination of schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. I went about creating the piece by watching my brother smoke a ton of cigarettes and asking him a ton of questions about what the voices tell him and what his hallucinations are of. Then I just started to apply paint to the canvas. This piece (and 4 others) were created in January 2014 right after moving to Florida. From start to finish I would say this piece took about 2 weeks. "The story behind the piece is searching to fill that empty space inside when losing someone very close to you. As the saying goes time heals all wounds, until then it's "Continuous Thunder." I always tend to work in a series of color combos, mostly in 3's. This series being one of them. The idea starts the way most of my pieces come about. Laying down the background and staring for a while. Then figuring out where I want the flow of the piece to go. With this piece it's kind of a "X" pattern. I wanted to do a hopscotch kinda deal with the maroons and pinks over the greys and the greys over the maroons and pinks. Along with the prints and original painting there are two smaller complimentary pieces available with this RUN." - Malt

  • Dissection Of The White Rabbit AP Archival Print by Nychos

Nychos Dissection Of The White Rabbit AP Archival Print by Nychos

Dissection Of The White Rabbit Limited Edition Archival Pigment Print on 300gsm Museum Natural Fine Art Paper by Nychos Graffiti Street Artist Modern Pop Art. AP Artist Proof 2013Signed & Marked AP Artwork Size 16x16 "I painted this piece in January of this year, right before I went to Hawaii for Pow Wow. It was also featured in my recent solo show in Italy, showcasing some of my recent dissections. The concept is based on the graphical graffiti throw-up I have been doing since around 2005, but I had to do a dissection of this one! The image is now Rabbit Eye Movement's main (REM) logo. REM started as a street art concept based in Vienna, but I always saw the Rabbit Eye Movement as an homage to all the "rabbits" out there being" active in the urban art movement; it doesn't matter what mission they are following. The movement grew, and REM expanded to establish the REM ARTSPACE. This place addresses national and international artists from genres like graffiti, urban illustration, street art, lowbrow, and pop culture imagery. It allows individual and collective creativity to open minds and cultivate passionate inspiration." - Nychos. Nychos' "Dissection of The White Rabbit": A Modern Pop Art Phenomenon In the contemporary urban landscape, few art pieces have captured the imagination as vividly as "Dissection of The White Rabbit" by Nychos, the illustrious graffiti street artist. This limited edition archival pigment print on 300gsm Museum Natural Fine Art Paper stands as a hallmark of modern pop art and a defining piece within the street pop art and graffiti artwork genre. Created as an artist proof (AP) in 2013, this 16x16 artwork weaves complex narratives of biology, mythology, and urban culture into a single, striking, and thought-provoking canvas. Nychos: Anatomical Explorations and Urban Narratives Nychos, renowned for his unique approach to street art, employs a distinctive technique of anatomical dissection in his work. "Dissection of The White Rabbit" is a prime example, presenting a rabbit split down the middle to reveal the intricate workings of its internal organs. This piece was conceived in January of that year, just as Nychos was preparing to attend Pow Wow in Hawaii, and subsequently became a centerpiece in his solo show in Italy. Nychos's work delves into the layers that compose living beings, reflecting a deep fascination with what lies beneath the surface. By marrying the graphic energy of graffiti throw-ups with the precise detail of dissections, Nychos has forged a new path in street pop art. The artwork also functions as the emblem for the Rabbit Eye Movement (REM), a concept originating from the streets of Vienna. Nychos envisions REM as a tribute to the 'rabbits' of the urban art movement, symbolizing the active participants in this burgeoning cultural scene, regardless of their mission. REM has since evolved to establish the REM ARTSPACE. This creative hub celebrates a variety of genres, from graffiti and urban illustration to street art, lowbrow, and pop culture imagery. This space is dedicated to fostering individual and collective creativity and serves as a bastion for the free exchange of ideas, ensuring the progression and inspiration of artists worldwide. The Impact and Legacy of Nychos' Work The influence of "Dissection of The White Rabbit" extends beyond its visual impact. It embodies Nychos' profound effect on the street art scene, illustrating the transformative power of visual arts in urban spaces. The work is a representation of the artist's technical prowess and a symbol of his commitment to challenging the traditional boundaries of street pop art and graffiti artwork. As the primary logo for the Rabbit Eye Movement, it has become synonymous with a global network of artists dedicated to advancing the cause of street art. Through his work and the establishment of REM ARTSPACE, Nychos has played a pivotal role in shaping the dialogue around street art and its place in the broader spectrum of contemporary art. In essence, "Dissection of The White Rabbit" is more than just a piece of art; it is a cornerstone of Nychos' artistic and cultural contribution. This piece encapsulates the dynamism and versatility of street pop art and graffiti artwork, demonstrating how such works can simultaneously educate, inspire, and provoke thought. As Nychos' fame continues to rise and his works continue to captivate audiences around the globe, the legacy of his white rabbit, dissected and displayed, stands as an enduring symbol of the power and potential of street art.

  • Hollywood Forever AP Archival Print by Scott Listfield

Scott Listfield Hollywood Forever AP Archival Print by Scott Listfield

Hollywood Forever AP Archival Print by Scott Listfield Limited Edition Print on 290gsm Fine Art Paper Pop Artist Modern Artwork. AP Artist Proof 2020 Signed & Marked AP Limited Edition Artwork Size 1620 Archival Pigment Fine Art Scott Listfield's "Hollywood Forever" is a contemporary artwork that embodies a unique confluence of pop art, street art, and graffiti art, creating a vibrant synergy of styles that challenge the observer's perspective on urban life and its interplay with popular culture. An archival print by this distinguished artist, "Hollywood Forever" is a visual commentary, utilizing the aesthetic of street and graffiti art to portray striking imagery inspired by pop culture, a thematic thread found in many of Listfield's works. The brilliance of Scott Listfield's work lies in the application of his painterly skills, combined with his capacity to visually narrate contemporary society through a pop-culture lens. His motifs are often juxtapositions of iconic and everyday symbols from urban landscapes, blurring the boundaries between the real and the imagined. "Hollywood Forever" stays true to this narrative and exudes a powerful blend of pop art's graphic nature with the raw aesthetics of street and graffiti art. This piece, in particular, holds an intriguing duality. On one hand, it is a nod towards the vitality of Hollywood – a place symbolic of dreams, fame, and opulence. On the other, it integrates elements of street art to induce a sense of impermanence and temporality. In "Hollywood Forever," the allure of Hollywood is depicted alongside its transience, thus generating a contemplative dialogue between the eternal and the ephemeral. The title itself, "Hollywood Forever," is evocative and somewhat ironic. The idea of Hollywood being forever is counterpointed by the typically transient nature of street art, which is often short-lived and regularly painted over in the urban environment. Such a paradox forms a critical commentary on Hollywood's perennial influence on pop culture and the fleeting, ever-changing nature of street art. The use of bold colors, stark contrasts, and dramatic compositions in "Hollywood Forever" contributes to its resonance as a pop art piece. It pays homage to pop art masters like Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein, while also incorporating the grit and rawness associated with street and graffiti art, the likes of Banksy and Jean-Michel Basquiat. Simultaneously, it's Listfield's unique spin on these genres that makes his work truly stand out. Notably, Listfield has achieved a nuanced balance between these diverse art forms in "Hollywood Forever." His treatment of the archival print medium, akin to the photographic or silk-screen processes widely used in pop art, merges seamlessly with the bold lines and vivid colors associated with street art and graffiti. This harmonious blending is a testament to Listfield's mastery over these styles. The "Hollywood Forever" archival print by Scott Listfield serves as a vibrant point of discussion in the broader context of pop art, street art, and graffiti art. Its multilayered representation of popular culture, urban life, and the transient versus the eternal, has sparked an engaging dialogue within the contemporary art world. This work stands as a potent illustration of how different artistic styles can be skillfully intertwined to produce captivating and thought-provoking pieces of art.

Created using fine art paper and archival inks, the print exemplifies Listfield’s ability to blend detailed realism with cultural commentary, capturing the essence of both Street Pop Art and Graffiti Artwork. The artwork features the legendary Transformers character Soundwave towering over a contemplative astronaut figure, a recurring subject in Listfield’s body of work. The backdrop of a cityscape at dusk provides a cinematic setting that enhances the grandeur of the robot, with its tape deck design paying tribute to Soundwave’s roots in 1980s pop culture. The astronaut, dwarfed by the massive figure, gazes upward, evoking themes of awe, nostalgia, and the human fascination with technology and heroism. The careful rendering of Soundwave’s intricate design, juxtaposed with the moody tones of the sky and urban environment, creates a powerful visual narrative that invites viewers to explore their own relationship with cultural icons and the passage of time. Pop Culture and Street Pop Art in Soundwave Scott Listfield’s Soundwave bridges the worlds of pop culture and Street Pop Art by reimagining a beloved Transformers character within a surreal, yet deeply relatable, context. Soundwave, with its dual identity as a robot and a tape deck, symbolizes the convergence of technology and entertainment that defined an era. By placing the character in a contemporary cityscape alongside his astronaut figure, Listfield draws attention to the enduring impact of these cultural artifacts and their ability to inspire awe across generations. Morsel Limited Edition Archival Pigment Hand-Embellished Prints on 330gsm Fine Art Paper by Laura Bifano Graffiti Street Artist Modern Pop Art. "The painting was originally done for a show at Thinkspace Gallery called “Picks of the Harvest.” I had played around with a few ideas initially, but nothing seemed to take shape until I took a road trip up Vancouver Island to visit family. The scenery was stunning emerald green farmland dotted with grazing sheep, so I used that as a jumping-off point for the painting. I’ve always loved English Pastoral paintings and knew right away that I wanted to do something in a similar vein. I decided to introduce a predatory element to this otherwise idyllic scene, and a family of Wolves seemed appropriate. At the time I was also watching a steady stream of BBC nature documentaries and it got me in a contemplative mood, thinking about the cycles of life, death, and rebirth. I think that introducing the element of these artificial pixel sheep adds a touch of whimsy and levity to an otherwise morbid image." - Laura Bifano

Archival Pigment Prints Graffiti Street Pop Artwork

Archival Pigment Prints: Revolutionizing Fine Art Preservation in Street Pop and Graffiti Art

Archival pigment printmaking has emerged as a prominent method in producing fine art prints, particularly in pop art, street art, and graffiti artwork. This process is revered for its high quality, durability, and color accuracy, making it an ideal choice for artists and collectors who seek to preserve the vibrancy and detail of original artworks in the context of street pop art and graffiti, where the art is often transient or exposed to harsh outdoor elements, archival pigment printing offers a means to immortalize these ephemeral works. Archival pigment print technology has become a cornerstone in preserving and disseminating pop art, street art, and graffiti artwork. These prints are known for their superior quality and longevity, essential for maintaining the fidelity of artwork over time. By utilizing high-end inkjet printers with archival quality inks on acid-free papers, archival pigment prints offer artists and collectors the opportunity to hold onto a piece of history with the assurance that it will resist fading and degradation for generations. The technical process of creating an archival pigment print involves spraying microscopic droplets of pigment-based ink onto high-quality paper or canvas. This method allows for an impressive range of color and detail, capturing the nuances of the original artwork with remarkable precision. The archival inks used are designed to be stable over time, resisting the environmental factors that typically degrade prints, such as light exposure and humidity. As a result, these prints can retain their color and detail for up to and beyond 100 years under proper conditions.

Understanding the Archival Pigment Print Process

The process of creating an archival pigment print begins with the selection of high-quality, acid-free paper or canvas. This choice is crucial as it ensures the longevity of the print. The archival quality of the paper or canvas prevents yellowing and degradation over time, preserving the integrity of the artwork. The artwork is digitized once the substrate is selected, typically through high-resolution scanning or photography. This digitization captures every detail of the original work, including texture, color gradients, and fine lines. The archival pigment print process's core uses pigment-based inks. Unlike dye-based inks, pigment inks consist of tiny, encapsulated particles that sit on top of the paper rather than being absorbed into it. This quality contributes to the superior color vibrancy and sharpness of the prints. Moreover, pigment inks are known for their excellent lightfastness and water resistance, which means the prints are less likely to fade or be damaged over time than those made with dye-based inks. Technological advancements in inkjet printers have been integral to developing archival pigment printmaking. Modern inkjet printers used in this process can produce a wide color gamut, allowing for the accurate reproduction of the complex and often vibrant colors typical in street pop art and graffiti. These printers spray microscopic droplets of ink onto the paper or canvas, allowing for precision and consistency in print quality. The high detail achievable with archival pigment printing is particularly beneficial for street pop art and graffiti artists. This detail ensures that even the subtlest nuances of spray paint, brushstrokes, or marker lines are captured and faithfully reproduced. For artists who work with mixed media or have a detailed style, this method of printmaking can replicate the textures and layers of their original artwork with remarkable fidelity.

Importance to Street Pop Art and Graffiti

For street pop art and graffiti, which are inherently temporary and subject to the unpredictable elements of the urban environment, archival pigment prints serve as a bridge between fleeting street art and enduring art collectibles. The ability to reproduce artwork that may otherwise be lost to time is invaluable for the artists who wish to preserve their work and the enthusiasts who seek to collect and protect these cultural artifacts. The translation of street art into archival pigment prints allows for a seamless transition from wall to gallery, ensuring the longevity and accessibility of the art form. Within the art collecting world, archival pigment prints hold a special place due to their high quality and durability. Collectors who invest in these prints can do so with confidence, knowing that they are acquiring a piece that represents the intersection of technological advancement and artistic expression. These prints are often indistinguishable from traditional photographs or lithographs, providing a modern alternative that upholds the aesthetic qualities of the original work. Archival pigment prints have played a significant role in democratizing art. They enable more comprehensive access to works that might otherwise be unattainable due to their original size, location, or the artist's fame. By offering a high-quality reproduction, artists can share their work with a broader audience, extending the reach of street pop art and graffiti beyond the streets and into homes and institutions. Archival pigment prints embody the convergence of art and technology, serving as a testament to the evolving nature of art preservation and sharing. As the interest in street pop art and graffiti artwork continues to grow, so does the value of archival pigment printing in ensuring that the vibrancy and spirit of these art forms are maintained for future enjoyment and study. Through this medium, the dynamic visuals of the street are granted a life beyond the brief, celebrated, and preserved in the annals of art history.

Archival Pigment Prints in Art Preservation and Collecting

From an art preservation standpoint, archival pigment prints offer a sustainable way to conserve and share street art and graffiti. Given the often-illegal nature of graffiti and the fleeting existence of many street art pieces, these prints provide a legal and permanent artwork form. They allow artists to document and sell their work without risking it being painted over or deteriorated. In art collecting, archival pigment prints have gained popularity due to their museum-quality reproduction and longevity. Collectors appreciate these prints for their ability to retain the look and feel of the original artwork for decades. This longevity is particularly appealing in the context of street pop art and graffiti, recognized for their vibrant colors and bold imagery – characteristics well-preserved in archival pigment prints. The future of archival pigment printmaking in the context of street pop art and graffiti looks promising. As technology advances, there is potential for even greater accuracy in color reproduction and detail. Environmental concerns lead to innovations in eco-friendly inks and sustainable printing practices, aligning with the socially conscious themes often present in street art and graffiti. Archival pigment printmaking has become a vital tool in documenting, preserving, and disseminating street pop art and graffiti artwork. Its ability to produce high-quality, durable, and accurate reproductions has made it a favored choice among artists and collectors. As the street art and graffiti movements continue to evolve, archival pigment prints will undoubtedly play a significant role in ensuring that these vibrant and expressive art forms are recovered to time.
