Bask When It Rains It Pours Archival Skateboard Deck by Bask

When It Rains It Pours Limited Edition Archival Pigment Print Transfer on Cold Pressed Steep Natural Skate Deck art by street pop culture artist Bask. Bask quickly began to notice similarities between the communistic iconic propaganda from his youth and the consumer advertising of his teens. He soon discovered that they were simply, two sides of the same coin. Each vying for our short-lived attention spans, all the while selling us (or telling us?) anything and everything from Marxism to McDonalds.

Bask - Sprayed Paint Art Collection

Bask is a contemporary artist who has gained widespread recognition for his unique style of street art. His real name is Ales Bask Hostomsky, and he was born in Czechoslovakia in 1976. Bask's family immigrated to the United States in the early 1980s, settling in Florida. It was here that Bask discovered his love for graffiti and street art, and began honing his skills in the underground art scene. Bask's artistic style is a fusion of traditional graffiti techniques and fine art. He is known for his intricate stencils and wheat-pasting, which he uses to create vivid, multi-layered images on walls, buildings, and other public spaces. Bask's work often features political and social themes, as well as references to pop culture and advertising. One of Bask's most iconic works is the mural "Rhapsody in Orange," which he painted in 2013 on the side of a building in St. Petersburg, Florida. The mural depicts a woman with long, flowing hair surrounded by a sea of orange, green, and blue swirls. The vibrant colors and bold lines of the mural capture the energy and vitality of the city, while also conveying a sense of whimsy and playfulness. In addition to his street art, Bask has also created a series of fine art pieces that have been exhibited in galleries and museums around the world. His work often incorporates found objects and materials, such as discarded metal, wood, and other debris. Bask's use of these materials gives his work a raw, gritty feel that is reminiscent of the urban landscape from which it emerged. Overall, Bask is an artist who has made a significant impact on the world of street art and contemporary art more broadly. His unique style and bold imagery have captured the attention of audiences around the world, and his work continues to inspire and challenge viewers to think differently about the world around them.
