Collins was born in Seattle, Washington in 1985 and received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Washington in 2008. She later moved to Los Angeles to pursue her artistic career and received her Master of Fine Arts degree from the University of California, Los Angeles in 2012.
