Ernesto Yerena Montejano is a Mexican-American artist and activist, born on November 17, 1981, in El Centro, California. He is known for creating politically charged and socially conscious artwork that highlights the struggles and experiences of various communities, particularly the Chicano and indigenous peoples of the Americas. His work is rooted in Mexican and Chicano culture and often explores themes of identity, civil rights, and social justice.

Yerena studied at The Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California, and later became an apprentice to renowned street artist Shepard Fairey. He is known for his signature style that combines stencil, collage, and screen-printing techniques. Yerena's art has been displayed in galleries and museums around the world, as well as in public spaces through murals and street art installations.

Some of his notable projects include the "Alto Arizona" art campaign, which aimed to raise awareness of the harsh realities faced by immigrants in Arizona, and the "We Are Human" campaign, which spread messages of unity and love amidst a divisive political climate.
