Herakut is a collaboration between two German artists, Hera and Akut. Hera (Jasmin Siddiqui) was born in Frankfurt in 1981 and Akut (Falk Lehmann) was born in Schmalkalden in 1977. They first met in 2004 at an art exhibition and decided to work together as Herakut. Herakut is known for their large-scale murals and street art, which often feature dreamlike and surreal images of children and animals. Their work is characterized by a unique blend of painting and graffiti techniques, with a focus on creating emotionally charged and thought-provoking pieces. In addition to their street art, Herakut has also exhibited their work in galleries and museums around the world, including shows in Germany, the United States, Australia, and the United Kingdom. They have also published several books, including "After the Laughter" and "The Perfect Merge," which feature photographs of their artwork and commentary on their creative process.
