He is best known as the founder of Staple Design, a multifaceted creative agency, and Staple Pigeon, a streetwear brand. Established in 1997, Staple Design has worked with numerous high-profile clients, while Staple Pigeon has become an iconic brand within the streetwear community. Jeff Staple is particularly famous for his collaboration with Nike on the "Nike SB Dunk Low Pro 'Pigeon'", released in 2005. This limited-edition sneaker featured a simple yet striking design with a pigeon embroidered on the heel. The sneaker release caused a frenzy in the sneaker community, with people lining up for days and even incidents of violence reported. The "Pigeon Dunk" is now considered a turning point in sneaker culture.
