Lisa Larson (born 1931) is a renowned Swedish ceramicist and designer, known for her distinctive and charming ceramic sculptures. She studied at the College of Arts, Crafts, and Design (Konstfack) in Stockholm and began her career at the Gustavsberg Porcelain Factory in 1953. There, she worked under the guidance of Stig Lindberg, one of Sweden's most celebrated ceramic artists and designers. Larson is best known for her whimsical and stylized animal sculptures, which have gained her a significant following both in Sweden and internationally. Her works often feature playful, anthropomorphic designs and are characterized by their simplicity, elegance, and humor. Some of her most famous series include "ABC-figurines," "Small Zoo," and "Africa." In addition to her animal sculptures, Larson has also designed various decorative household items, including vases and wall decorations. After leaving the Gustavsberg Porcelain Factory in 1980, she started her own ceramic studio, Lisa Larson AB, where she continued to create and sell her unique artwork. Her work has been exhibited in museums and galleries worldwide, and her pieces are highly sought after by collectors.
