  • Booby Trap Art Toy Sculpture by Henn Kim x Mighty Jaxx

Henn Kim Booby Trap Art Toy Sculpture by Henn Kim x Mighty Jaxx

Booby Trap Polystone Sculpture Limited Edition Artwork by Modern Pop Artist Henn Kim. 2021 New In Box Booby Trap Art Toy Sculpture by Henn Kim x Mighty Jaxx Exploring the Fusion of Street Pop Art & Graffiti Artwork in Henn Kim's Booby Trap Sculpture In the vibrant arena of modern pop art, the Booby Trap Polystone Sculpture emerges as a compelling piece that stirs the onlooker with its raw and evocative presentation. This limited edition art toy sculpture is a physical embodiment of the themes often explored by the Korean illustrator and modern pop artist Henn Kim. Born in South Korea, Henn Kim is alive and active in the art scene. She is known for her illustrative work that often features a stark monochromatic palette and themes of emotional introspection. The Booby Trap sculpture, released in 2021 in collaboration with Mighty Jaxx, is a striking representation of the weight of emotions and the suspense of unpredictable outcomes. Standing at 8 inches, this poly stone art toy captures the essence of what many street pop artists and graffiti creators aim to communicate: a message that is both personal and universal, encapsulated in a form that is accessible yet profound. Henn Kim and the Emotional Resonance in Street Pop Art Henn Kim's work is recognized for its simplicity in design yet complexity in interpretation. The Booby Trap sculpture, much like her two-dimensional works, is deceptively straightforward—a figure holding grenades in place of breasts, which is not just a play on words but also a visual metaphor for the burdens one may carry. The tension between the expected softness of the human form and the harshness of the grenades invites a dialogue on vulnerability and strength, a recurring theme in street pop art. The design does not shy away from evoking a sense of danger and fragility. The woman depicted is blindfolded, adding a layer of suspense and mystery. It is as if she is unaware of when her emotional weight might become too much to bear—a sentiment that resonates deeply with the human experience. Polystone as a medium adds to the narrative, providing a sense of permanence and gravity to the otherwise fleeting emotions. The Impact of Booby Trap in the Context of Graffiti Artwork While Henn Kim's Booby Trap is not graffiti in the traditional sense, it shares the spirit of graffiti artwork's immediacy and public engagement. Graffiti often conveys messages about societal pressures and personal struggles on the public stage of city walls. Similarly, Booby Trap takes personal struggles and exhibits them in a tangible form. Much like graffiti, the sculpture is a snapshot of emotion, frozen in time yet speaking volumes. It is a testament to the power of street pop art to transcend the conventional boundaries of art galleries, reaching out to a broader audience through its profound simplicity and visual impact. The limited edition nature of Booby Trap aligns with the often ephemeral quality of graffiti, highlighting the importance of capturing the moment and the emotion before it fades away. The collaboration with Mighty Jaxx also points to a trend where street pop art and collectible culture intersect, creating new platforms for artists to share their work and for collectors to engage with art in a more personal space. The Booby Trap sculpture is a significant piece within the continuum of street pop art and graffiti artwork. It is a bold statement in the oeuvre of Henn Kim, a modern pop artist whose work continues to engage and challenge viewers with its visual metaphors and emotional depth. The sculpture is not merely an object of aesthetic value but a conversation conduit. This piece compels the onlooker to reflect on our weights and the unpredictability of life's emotional journey. Through Booby Trap, Henn Kim has added a new dimension to the discourse of street pop art, proving that the power of this genre lies in its ability to connect with the viewer on a profoundly personal level, irrespective of the medium.

Also included is a comic book and art print illustrated by Reggieknow Virgil Abloh's Post-Modern Take on He-Man The Virgil Abloh x He-Man Toy by Off White is a bold re-envisioning of one of the most beloved characters from the 1980s cartoon and action figure series, "Masters of the Universe" (MOTU). Released as a limited edition vinyl sculpture in 2023, this collectible artwork stands at the intersection of pop culture, street art, and designer collectibles, reflecting a modern reinterpretation of classic icons. Measuring 4x7 inches and crafted with meticulous attention to detail, the figure displays a monochromatic nude palette, a signature choice of Abloh that strips the character down to its essential form, inviting a reevaluation of He-Man's symbolic meaning. With 30 points of articulation, the figure is engineered for dynamic posing, allowing collectors to interact with and display the piece in many heroic stances. Abloh's passion for MOTU shines through in his thoughtful inclusion of accessories such as swappable hands, a power sword, and a shield, each enhancing the narrative capability of the figure. Swapping hands or weapons goes beyond mere customization; it engages with the figure's underlying story of empowerment and heroism. Collectibility and Presentation Beyond its function as a play object, this He-Man figure is a work of art. It comes accompanied by a comic book and an art print designed by Reggieknow, extending the narrative from three-dimensional form into graphic art. Including these items adds layers to the figure's collectibility, ensuring that it is not just a singular piece but part of a broader artistic endeavor. Presented in special monochromatic packaging, the figure reflects Abloh's design philosophy, merging the worlds of fashion, music, and art. It's a presentation that elevates the figure from a mere collectible to a statement piece reflective of Abloh's cultural impact and his vision for redefining the aesthetics of pop and street art. Legacy of Virgil Abloh and Street Pop Art Abloh, before his untimely passing, was a cultural titan whose work transcended the conventional boundaries of art and design. His reimagining of He-Man is emblematic of his approach to creation—one that is unafraid to revisit and revolutionize popular narratives. As with his other endeavors, Abloh blurs the lines between street art's subversive edge and pop art's mass appeal, suggesting new ways to consider the influence of cultural icons. The Virgil Abloh x He-Man Toy is more than a tribute to a childhood favorite; it's a piece of street pop art and graffiti artwork that encapsulates the transformative vision of one of the contemporary art world's most influential figures. Through this figure, collectors and fans are invited to explore the realms of Eternia anew and to appreciate the enduring legacy of Virgil Abloh as an artist who redefined what it means to be a creator in the modern era.

There is a violent history of police dogs being used to attack civil rights protesters, which contrasts intensely with the blissful perspective of white dog owners who pamper their dogs and hire dog walkers. Some of us never have to think about how the police abuse their power more frequently in non-white and lower-income communities. This “Sadistic Dog Walker” image encourages us to be aware of the “two Americas.” – Shepard

  • He-Man & Battle Cat MOTU Art Toy Sculpture by Madsaki

Madsaki He-Man & Battle Cat MOTU Art Toy Sculpture by Madsaki

He-Man & Battle Cat Limited Edition Vinyl Art Toy Collectible Artwork by street graffiti artist Madsaki x MOTU. 2020 Madsaki and Mattel Creations teamed up to create these exclusive Madsaki x Masters of the Universe HE-MAN and BATTLE CAT Figures. The sculpture stands 16.75 inches tall. MADSAKI and MATTEL CREATIONS team up to create this exclusive and iconic drop-a scaled down re-creation of the larger-than-life HE-MAN® and BATTLE CAT® sculpture that turned the heads of fans and art critics alike as a centerpiece of MADSAKI'S "1984" solo exhibition at Tokyo's Kaikai Kiki Gallery in 2020. Measuring 17 inches tall and sculpted in an 80's cartoon style with a spray of jaw dropping modern-day street-style graffiti artwork, we proudly présent the most famous hero in all of Eternia", HE-MAN and the ferocious BATTLE CAT® in a manner that truly blurs the lines between toy and art masterpiece. Each sculpture includes a hand-signed certificate of authenticity from MADSAKI as well as white gloves to better care for your art piece. Displayed With Box MADSAKI x MOTU – He-Man & Battle Cat in Street Pop Art & Graffiti Artwork The He-Man & Battle Cat limited edition vinyl sculpture by MADSAKI, produced in collaboration with Mattel Creations in 2020, is a vivid collision of nostalgia, pop culture, and urban rebellion—an unmistakable contribution to the world of Street Pop Art & Graffiti Artwork. Originally unveiled as a centerpiece at MADSAKI’s 1984 solo exhibition at Tokyo’s Kaikai Kiki Gallery, this scaled-down 17-inch version captures the wild energy of its monumental counterpart while delivering a high-octane dose of '80s cartoon absurdity, rendered in riotous color and graffiti-style flair. With fluorescent green, electric pink, and piercing orange as the dominant palette, the piece transforms two of the most iconic characters from the Masters of the Universe franchise—He-Man and Battle Cat—into contemporary street art figures. Far from being a simple homage, MADSAKI’s version reimagines the figures as avatars of pop mythology filtered through a graffiti artist’s eye. The weaponry, armor, and pose remain true to the original animation aesthetics, but the exaggerated colors and chaotic paint styling push this artwork into a new domain where fine art, vinyl collectible, and graffiti sensibility coexist. Nostalgia Weaponized in Urban Neon MADSAKI’s approach is rooted in remix culture, a cornerstone of Street Pop Art. By appropriating the visual language of childhood—He-Man being one of the most recognized animated heroes of the 1980s—and subjecting it to the visual distortion of neon saturation and aggressive outlines, he elevates kitsch into critique. This isn't just about remembering Saturday morning cartoons. It’s about weaponizing those memories and examining how commercial entertainment shaped identity, masculinity, and fantasy in late capitalist culture. Battle Cat, usually a symbol of strength and raw primal energy, becomes a neon-soaked beast of postmodern absurdity, outfitted in shocking pink and radioactive green. MADSAKI transforms him from a beast of war into a graffiti-coded monument of cultural excess. He-Man, still holding his power sword aloft, looks less like a heroic defender and more like a psychedelic gladiator from the subconscious of a street artist raised on VHS and irony. From Canvas to Vinyl: MADSAKI's Street Pop Mutation MADSAKI is no stranger to remixing icons. Known for his drippy-eyed renditions of Western masterpieces and manga figures, he blends Japanese street sensibilities with New York-style graffiti lineage. His transition into vinyl sculpture with Mattel represents the natural evolution of Street Pop Art—where the gallery wall meets the collectible shelf, and where nostalgia is no longer passive but radicalized. This figure blurs lines between sculpture and street installation. The color choices mimic spray can aesthetics, and the glossy surfaces echo the polish of vinyl murals and toy design. Like KAWS, Sket-One, or Ron English, MADSAKI proves that sculptural vinyl can be a medium of confrontation—not just consumption. The figure comes with a hand-signed certificate and gloves for display, reinforcing its identity as both an artwork and a cultural artifact. MADSAKI’s Place in the Graffiti-Pop Canon MADSAKI’s He-Man & Battle Cat is a definitive artifact of modern Street Pop Art & Graffiti Artwork. It combines satire, technical precision, collectible appeal, and cultural critique. Rather than separating art from toy or low from high, MADSAKI merges all categories into one ferocious drop that challenges the viewer’s nostalgia and their assumptions about what constitutes fine art. This sculpture is not simply fan service—it’s subversion. It transforms childhood heroes into fluorescent avatars of postmodern identity, rendered in the chromatic chaos of graffiti language. By injecting the streets into the plastic skin of global pop icons, MADSAKI cements his place among the artists reshaping visual culture one spray, sculpt, and scream at a time.

"My first batch was done in 2010/2011 and showed during the World's Largest Crappie Festival in Water Valley Mississippi, that was awesome. All are were made using pen, ink, and acrylic. My father was a B-26 pilot and my dad helped instill the interest in the subject. Two of the pieces feature a rock bass morphed with a B-26. These are completely different from what I normally do, whatever 'normal' means. Anyway, these were just a lot of fun to do. Whereas some of the intense pieces that I do I feel I have to do, as to purge it from my system, which works half the time (I tend to carry that stuff with me). Mickey Hiroshima Limited Edition Archival Pigment Prints on 290gsm Moab Fine Art Rag Paper by Jeff Gillette Graffiti Street Artist Modern Pop Art. 2013 Signed & Numbered Limited Edition of 30 Size 14x9 "I am from the suburbs of Detroit, Michigan. In the late 1980s, I was a Peace Corps volunteer in Nepal for two years. During this two-year stint, I visited every major city in India, finding myself exploring the huge slums found there. On my return home, I moved from the Mid-West to escape the snow to teach High School Art in Orange County, California. Since finishing my MFA at Cal State Fullerton, I have been exhibiting in galleries both at home and abroad. My work is most often landscapes. A major portion of my output is paintings of slums of the developing world, where I often add an element of western cultural privilege (and oblivion) into settings of urban blight. Inspiration for what I call “Slumscapes” comes from the first-hand experience of traveling. Most often I return over and over to my favorite destination: India. In the vast poverty-stricken fringes of its vast megalopolises, I trip out on how the economic disparities are obscenely extreme. I’ve been spending a lot of time in Mumbai slums: photographing, filming, creating Plein Aire paintings, and creating interactive street art. Besides depicting slums, my artwork portrays post-apocalyptic debris fields, landfills, and detritus-cluttered deserts. The Juxtaposition of Disney themes and beloved characters (i.e.: Mickey Mouse) with all these dystopias best conveys my personal views. Pondering contemporary social, political, economical and philosophical conundrums, I can’t help but feel absurdly helpless, pessimistic and humored about the future of Western Civilization…" - Jeff Gillette

Denial’s art is strongly political and social since the artist takes specific positions against issues, such as capitalism, consumer culture, and advertisements. More importantly, the artist is aware of his choices and motivations: “I like to think of myself as activist pop art. How I relate with cartoons and graphics is a lot easier than I do with photo-realistic stuff" Another aspect of Denial's work is humor. His work is satirical, which, by definition, means that it uses humor as a confronting mechanism.

Radioactive III Slap-Up Label Sticker Original Tag Art by Saber Original Permanent Marker Art Drawing on Mailing Glossy Radioactive Symbol Warning Sticker by Graffiti Artist Modern Street Artwork. 2022 Signed Original Slap Up Graffiti Art Tag 4x4 Marker Tagged on Radioactive Warning Label Uline S-13849 Sticker.  Slap Up In Perfect Condition. Radioactive  Expressions in Street Art In Street Pop Art and Graffiti Artwork, the "Radioactive III Slap-Up Label Sticker" series by Saber, legally known as Ryan Weston Shook, stands out as a profound commentary on the interplay between hazard and creativity. His 2020 series of original permanent marker art drawings on the quintessential yellow and black radioactive warning stickers transform these danger symbols into compelling pieces of modern street artwork. Each 4x4 piece, tagged with Saber's moniker on the Uline S-13849 sticker, carries the weight of its message through the juxtaposition of the universally known hazard symbol with the personal style of the graffiti artist. Confronting Perceptions with Tag Art The choice of the radioactive symbol, a globally recognized sign of lethal materials and the presence of unseen dangers, is intentional and provocative. Saber's tags across these stickers confront our perceptions of risk and the unseen forces that shape our world. By marking these warning labels with his art, Saber injects a human element into the conversation about the hazards surrounding us, both seen and unseen, tangible and intangible. The act of tagging these specific stickers is a bold statement, challenging the viewer to consider the potential for harm that exists not just in the physical realm but in the realm of ideas and expression. Saber's Artistic Legacy An American artist, Saber utilizes his work to provoke and challenge the status quo. His artistry on the "Radioactive III" stickers reflects his capacity to take warning symbols and transform them into symbols of identity and resistance. The series, signed and dated, is a testament to a year marked by global unrest and a reevaluation of what constitutes a threat to our collective well-being. Through his work, Saber raises questions about the role of art in a world that is increasingly aware of and responsive to the dangers it faces, be it environmental, political, or social. In each piece, Saber's signature style — bold, assertive, and unapologetic — captures the essence of street art's capacity to engage with its environment in a dialogue that is both critical and hopeful. The radioactive symbol, once a stark warning, becomes through Saber's intervention a canvas for exploring the boundaries of art and the power of an artist's touch to change how we see the world around us. As an active contributor to the graffiti and street art scene, Saber's work continues to resonate, ensuring that his voice and vision are as enduring as the radioactive elements his chosen canvases warn us about.

The “Peace Elephant” is an appeal to our sense of Karma and harmony with the world around us." - Shepard Fairey A profound intersection of artistry and activism emerges in "War By Numbers VSE- OG Colorway," an emblematic piece presented by the collaborative brilliance of Shepard Fairey, Ernesto Yerena Montejano, Hecho Con Ganas, and Obey. Showcased on meticulously hand-deckled fine art paper, this 20x26.5 inch artwork not only exemplifies the prowess of its creators but also delves deeply into the social and political fabric of contemporary global scenarios. Dated 2022, this piece holds the distinction of being an ultra-rare Variable Stencil Edition (VSE) on paper, with only 14 such editions in existence, each one thoughtfully signed and numbered. Notably, the presence of the Hecho Con Ganas publishing chop in the lower-left corner augments its authenticity and intrinsic value. While the artwork itself is a marvel of color interplay and design, its underlying message is both timeless and urgent. Shepard Fairey's own words elucidate the motivation behind its creation, highlighting its inception during the Iraq war. Yet, its resonance extends beyond that particular conflict. The piece emerges as an enduring reminder of the costs of warfare, particularly with the poignant backdrop of the recent Ukraine invasion. Fairey astutely draws attention to the dangers of becoming inured to the horrors of conflict, suggesting that society must never allow war's devastation to become as commonplace and mundane as a paint-by-numbers image. This sentiment is further emphasized by the inclusion of the "Peace Elephant," symbolizing the universal aspiration for harmony and an appeal to humanity's collective conscience. In the vast realm of pop art, street art, and graffiti, "War By Numbers" stands as a testament to art's ability to transcend aesthetic appeal, challenging viewers to confront and engage with the world's most pressing issues.

This piece is not merely a testament to Montejano's creative prowess but also offers a nuanced commentary on the wider cultural milieu. Evident from its title which translates to "Cowboy Desire", this hand-pulled silkscreen print encapsulates a compelling juxtaposition between traditionalism and modernity, inherent within Latino culture. Crafted meticulously on fine art paper, the print mirrors the tactile and aesthetic quality that Montejano's oeuvre is celebrated for. Positioned at the crossroads of pop art, street art, and graffiti, Ganas Vaquero exemplifies Montejano's unique ability to intertwine varied art forms while staying rooted in his cultural identity. The size of the artwork, 18x24 inches, ensures it captures attention while also being adaptable to diverse display settings. The signature of the artist affirms its authenticity, and the marking as a limited edition piece solidifies its exclusive status. Montejano's work thus doesn’t just serve as a representation of Latino heritage, but as a dialogue between global art forms, cultural identities, and individual creativity.

Military Soldiers & Warriors Graffiti Street Pop Art

Depictions of Military Soldiers & Warriors in Street Pop Art and Graffiti

The portrayal of military soldiers and warriors within street pop art and graffiti art offers a poignant commentary on the themes of conflict, heroism, and the human condition. Artists within these vibrant art movements have long utilized the visages of soldiers and warriors as powerful motifs to convey messages about society, politics, and the impact of warfare. These depictions range from realistic renderings to symbolic representations, often infused with the artists' reflections on warfare and its consequences.

Symbolism and Expression Through Military Imagery

In street pop art, the image of the soldier or warrior can often be imbued with irony and juxtaposition. This genre has a penchant for subverting traditional symbols of power and authority, presenting them in unexpected contexts to challenge viewers' perceptions. Graffiti artists, in particular, have adopted the warrior figure to express resistance or critique militarism. Their work on public surfaces becomes a canvas for social and political discourse, with soldiers and warriors depicted in various states of action or repose, often highlighting the contrast between the glorification of war and the reality of its brutality.

Cultural Reflections and Storytelling

The stories told through these images are as diverse as the artists themselves. Some may honor the bravery and sacrifice of individuals in the military, while others might question the machinations of war and its impact on humanity. In many urban landscapes, murals of soldiers and warriors serve as memorials, commemorating historical battles or fallen heroes. Meanwhile, other artworks serve as stark reminders of the ongoing conflicts worldwide, seeking to evoke empathy or provoke thought on international affairs.

Artistic Techniques and Styles

The techniques used to depict soldiers and warriors in street pop art and graffiti are as varied as the artists' intentions. Some may use stencils and spray paint to create bold, graphic images that command attention, while others might employ brushwork and mixed media for a more nuanced approach. The use of color is often significant; for instance, the starkness of black and white can underscore the seriousness of the subject matter, while vibrant hues might be used to convey the chaos and energy of battle. In the ongoing narrative of art and society, the representation of military soldiers and warriors in street pop art and graffiti remains a dynamic and evolving expression. These images serve as reflections of the artists' perspectives on war and peace and as catalysts for public engagement with these universal themes. Through the lens of street pop art and graffiti, the soldier and warrior archetypes are continuously reinterpreted, providing a visual dialogue on the nature of conflict and the resilience of the human spirit.
