Saber Abstract Cardboard Tagged Untitled Original Spray Paint Painting by Saber

Abstract Tagged Untitled Original One of a Kind Spray Paint & Marker Painting Artwork on Folded Cardboard by Popular Street Graffiti Artist Saber. 2020 Spray Paint & Marker Original 16.5x13 Mixed Media Graffiti Painting by Saber. In the vibrant sphere of contemporary art, "Abstract Tagged Untitled" emerges as a profound expression of the street graffiti genre. Saber, the artist behind this captivating piece, utilizes a dynamic combination of spray paint and marker on folded cardboard to construct a narrative that speaks volumes through its abstraction. Crafted in 2020, the artwork's dimensions span 16.5x13 inches, a size that allows for an intimate yet impactful interaction with the viewer. The painting presents a raw and gritty texture, a signature of Saber's work, encapsulating the spontaneity and energy synonymous with street art. The bold black lines slashed across the canvas are reminiscent of tags seen on urban landscapes, symbols of identity and existence within the din of the city. Contrasted with the electric blue spray paint that seems to dance around the stark strokes, there is an almost musical rhythm to the composition. The choice of cardboard as the substrate adds an ephemeral element, highlighting the often temporary nature of graffiti art as it battles the elements and the changing cityscape. This particular piece by Saber does not just portray an aesthetic appeal but also embodies the essence of graffiti culture. It's a form that has been historically misunderstood and yet remains one of the most powerful means of self-expression for artists who operate on the fringes of the traditional art world. Saber, through his work, captures the voice of the street, translating it into a universal language, transcending the boundaries that often confine art to galleries and museums. The painting stands as a testament to the genre's evolution and its acceptance into the broader art community. It reflects a journey from the walls of defiance to the walls of collectors and connoisseurs. "Abstract Tagged Untitled" is not only an original and one-of-a-kind piece of street art by Saber but also a compelling slice of the narrative that street and graffiti art continues to write in the history of modern artistic expression. It's a declaration that the power of art lies not just in representation but also in the raw, unfiltered emotion that it can evoke, something Saber has masterfully captured.

Saber Black Widow Black & Red 21_21a Original Spray Paint Charcoal Painting by Saber

Black Widow Black & Red 21_21a Original Spray Paint Charcoal Painting by Saber One of a Kind Artwork on Fine Art Paper by Street Art Pop Artist. 2022 Signed Spray Paint & Charcoal Pencil Original Painting On Hand Deckled Paper Size 15x17.5. "I love Black Widows ⚫️ ♦️🕷... growing up in Southern California we are surrounded by them. Once you notice thier presents they have a tendency to seep into your subconscious, as they have mine. I spent a little extra time with this series. I added little spider and web details hidden in each piece. Also I'm including some extra gifts created for this series within the packaging. These are not prints but individual paintings. This was created by dipping the edges of the paper in water then quickly scrawling on it with waterbased spraypaint using a fat cap. Then, quickly blast it with a hose while it is still wet to reveal the spraypaints ghost like textures and whips. These ghost shapes become the pathways to then detail out with black charcoal pencil. Because of the fast chaotic nature of the first stage of this process using the spraypaint each piece becomes unique yet simular. The detailing process of the second stage using the black charcoal pencil is slower paced and requires more attention. This drawing process becomes cathartic and meditative as each little puzzle is completed. -Also, as I was working on this series, my son was inspired to draw this baby blackwidow drawing. He insisted I hide this as a gift in one of the packages as a thank you.." -Saber

White Washed Purple Tag HPM Mixed Media Unique by Saber The piece titled "White Washed Purple Tag HPM Mixed Media Unique" by the artist Saber is a quintessential example of this art form. Saber, a renowned American graffiti artist, Ryan Weston Shook, has played a pivotal role in bringing graffiti and street art into the gallery space. Born in 1976, Saber remains an influential figure in the street art community, known for his distinctive style that often features a dynamic use of color, bold tags, and an edgy aesthetic that resonates with the ethos of street culture. The artwork itself is a hand-painted marker on fine art paper that exudes street art's raw energy and spontaneity. The mixed media piece is part of a unique original series comprising an edition of 40 hand-drawn mixed media works. Saber's use of spray paint, acrylic paint, markers, and permanent markers culminates in an artwork that is visually striking and tactile in its layered application of materials. The piece's dimensions, a modest 6x8, may seem small, but the impact of the artwork is substantial. The compact size encapsulates the immediacy of graffiti art, where space is often at a premium, and artists must convey their message concisely and powerfully. The thick fine art paper serves as a testament to the durability and permanence of the art form, much like the walls that bear the weight of urban storytelling. Artistic Significance and Cultural Impact Saber's "White Washed Purple Tag" is a testament to the cultural impact of street pop art and graffiti artwork. By taking the art from the alleys and train cars onto fine art paper, the artist has elevated the perception of graffiti, allowing it to be appreciated as a form of social commentary and as a legitimate and sophisticated art form. The mixed media aspect of the piece showcases the versatility and innovativeness of street artists, who often have to adapt to various environments and use available materials. The technique of whitewashing, often used by city authorities to cover up graffiti, is reappropriated in this piece to serve as a canvas, creating a stark contrast with the vibrant purple tag. This reclamation symbolizes street artists' struggle in their quest for recognition and the right to public space. The purple tag, a signature of Saber's work, is not merely a name but a statement of identity, a bold declaration of existence in a constantly changing and evolving world. In the context of modern pop art, Saber's work is a bridge between street culture and high art, reflecting the changing attitudes towards what is considered valuable and worthy of attention in the art world. • American Flag Black HPM Watercolor Unique Stencil by Saber

Saber American Flag Black HPM Watercolor Unique Stencil by Saber

American Flag Black HPM Watercolor Unique Stencil by Saber Hand-Painted Multiple on Watercolor Fine Art Paper Graffiti Street Artist Modern Pop Art. 2023 Signed & Numbered Mixed Unique Edition of 40 HPM Hand-Embellished Watercolor Stencil Artwork Size 5x5 Original Mini Painting of the US American Flag with Black Stripes. Deconstructing Symbols in Street Pop Art The 'American Flag Black HPM Watercolor Unique Stencil' by Saber is an evocative piece of modern pop art, reflecting the artist's nuanced approach to symbol deconstruction and cultural commentary. In this signed and numbered unique edition of 40 HPM (Hand-Painted Multiple) watercolor stencil artworks, the conventional image of the US American Flag is reimagined. Measuring 5x5 inches, the original painting presents the flag's iconic stripes in black, a bold departure from their traditional red and white. Saber's Technique and Style Saber's work is characterized by its layered complexity, both in the physical layers of paint and the conceptual layers of meaning. This piece, created on watercolor fine art paper, employs a stencil technique often used in street art to produce sharp, clean images that can be replicated multiple times. However, each piece in the series remains unique, a testament to the artist's hand that guides the process. The choice of watercolor as a medium adds a fluidity and softness to the otherwise stark imagery of the flag, suggesting a sense of ephemerality and change. The black stripes dominate the visual field, standing out against the subtle hues of the watercolor background. This alteration of the flag's color scheme may speak to many social and political interpretations, from mourning and protest to strength and unity. The work becomes a canvas for dialogue, inviting viewers to project their thoughts and emotions onto the flag's transformed image. Reflections on National Identity and Patriotism In street pop art, the flag is a powerful symbol that is loaded with meaning and often employed to express pride, dissent, or a complex combination of both. Saber's rendition of the American flag calls into question national identity and patriotism notions. By altering the flag's traditional colors, the artist prompts a reevaluation of what these symbols represent and how they resonate within the current socio-political climate. The graffiti street artist's decision to work with an emblem as potent as the American flag indicates a willingness to engage with themes that are at once universal and deeply personal. The flag, an icon meant to unite, becomes a site of divergence in Saber's hands, a space where the tensions and contradictions of American life are laid bare. Like much of street pop art, this artwork is not confined to the public walls and alleyways where graffiti is commonly found. It enters the more intimate spaces of galleries and private collections, yet it retains the raw, provocative energy that is the hallmark of street art. Saber, an American artist, navigates this transition with ease, bringing the spirit of the streets into the fine art arena without losing the potency of his message. In this unique series, Saber continues challenging the boundaries of street pop art and graffiti artwork, reaffirming his position as a leading figure. The 'American Flag Black HPM Watercolor Unique Stencil' is a testament to the enduring power of street art to provoke thought and inspire conversation. It is a bold statement in the ongoing discourse about identity, belonging, and the symbols we hold dear.

Intersecting Nature and Urban Expression in Saber's Art The 'Neon Pink Black Widow Spider HPM Mixed Media Unique' series is a stunning representation of street pop art's versatility and depth, created by the renowned graffiti artist Saber. This 2023 collection, a numbered series of 25 unique hand-painted multiples (HPM), features miniature 3.5x3 inch drawings of black widow spiders rendered in a striking neon pink. These pieces are accompanied by hand-painted and tagged cardboard, combining natural motifs and urban art sensibilities. Saber's Mixed Media Mastery Saber, an artist whose works are embedded in the DNA of modern street art, utilizes a diverse range of materials such as pen ink, highlighter, marker, and colored pencils to bring these arachnids to life. The neon pink is arresting and symbolic, challenging the viewer's perceptions of danger and attraction. In the natural world, bright colors often serve as a warning, and in the urban landscape, they demand attention – a parallel that Saber skillfully draws upon in his artwork. The inclusion of hand-painted cardboard adds an element of raw authenticity to the series. Cardboard, a ubiquitous and often discarded material, is transformed into a valuable part of the art, questioning the hierarchy of materials and the value assigned to different mediums. This approach is emblematic of street pop art's capacity to elevate the mundane and to find beauty in the overlooked. Themes of Survival and Beauty Black widow spiders are creatures that evoke a mixture of fear and fascination. Saber taps into this duality, using the spiders as a metaphor for resilience and the delicate balance between beauty and danger. This narrative is particularly resonant within the context of street pop art and graffiti artwork, where the act of creation itself is often a form of survival and defiance. The spiders, set against Saber's signature tags backdrop, embody the tension inherent in street art – the push and pull between legality and expression, between the individual artist and the broader community. Through his neon pink black widows, Saber invites a dialogue about the interplay between instincts and urban environments and the instinctual drive to leave a mark through silk webs or spray paint.
