Brew Collection Original Wood Acrylic Painting by Jesse Kassel "I created this body of work this past summer (2013) for the Red Bull House of Art. Which is an Artist Residency that provides studio space and exhibit space for Detroit artists. This body of work was inspired by the after-hours environment as well as the landscape here in Detroit. This city is a gold mine for aging liquor store signs, and other hand-painted signs. There is a folk-art quality to the entire city and I wanted to bring that into a more specific subject. This piece is a collection of vintage beer cans that I like." - Jesse Kassel

The flaking paint, indicative of the piece's history, adds an element of temporal beauty, echoing the urban decay often celebrated in graffiti art. Keil's work embraces the beauty found in the imperfections and the passage of time, much like the ethos of street art, which often finds poignancy in the ephemeral nature of its creations. "Friend Face '84," therefore, is a visual feast and a historical artifact that carries the marks of its existence. Crafted in 2020, this original mixed-media artwork by the artist Add Fuel stands out as a one-of-a-kind framed piece that resonates with the dynamic energy of pop art. At the heart of Fragment 01 lies the artist's innovative approach to ceramic painting, a medium often associated with classical and traditional art. However, Add Fuel recontextualizes this perception by introducing elements typical of street art, thus creating a bridge between two ostensibly disparate worlds. The three-panel ceramic painting, with dimensions of 23.8 by 29.8 inches, captures the essence of Street Pop Art through its fragmented two-piece composition. The artwork's division into panels underscores the fragmented nature of street art, often found in unexpected locations and subject to the ravages of the urban environment. The dominant blues and intricate designs pay homage to the azulejo tradition of ceramic tilework, while the fractured presentation speaks to the spontaneity and impermanence of graffiti. By signing the piece, Add Fuel imparts a sense of identity and ownership, a nod to the graffiti artist's signature tag. The artwork is also ready to hang, emphasizing its accessibility and the street art ethos of art for the people. The Legacy of Fragment 01 in Contemporary Art Fragment 01 does not just represent a fusion of artistic styles; it also embodies the cultural dialogue between traditional craftsmanship and contemporary street expression. Through its form and medium, the artwork invites viewers to reflect on the evolution of art as it moves from the protected confines of galleries to the open and often contested spaces of the street. It challenges preconceived notions about the value and place of art in society and celebrates the democratization of art that street art and pop art have long championed. The significance of Fragment 01 extends beyond its aesthetic appeal; it is a testament to the growing recognition of street art and pop art as legitimate and influential art forms. By encapsulating the spirit of these movements within the time-honored medium of ceramic, Add Fuel's artwork bridges past and present, offering a powerful statement on the enduring nature of art and its capacity to adapt and thrive in various contexts. The piece is a vibrant example of how Street Pop and Graffiti Artwork continue to shape and inspire the trajectory of contemporary art. Fragment 01 is not merely a work of art but a vibrant narrative that captures the intersection of history, culture, and innovation. Through this piece, Add Fuel propels the conversation about the place of street art within the broader artistic canon, asserting its value and relevance in today's art landscape.

  • Diaspora Tolu Original Enamel Acrylic Painting by Askew One

Askew One Diaspora Tolu Original Enamel Acrylic Painting by Askew One

Diaspora Tolu Original Painting Enamel and Acrylic on Plexiglass by Askew One Graffiti Street Artist Modern Pop Art. 2015 Signed Original Painting Artwork Size 20x14 Custom Framed "Back in April/May of 2014, I spent around 6 weeks based in Los Angeles making these paintings for my solo show at Known Gallery. I was living and working above the TSL store, trying my best to make enough work to fill the space which was a pretty daunting task. The pieces themselves are a combination of head portraits painted in what I would say are my signature style and then also a series of smaller abstract works that signify the idea of migration through the Pacific, both in a historic and recent sense. The model for the portraits was my friend Sereima aka Stelly, who’s Sydney-based and of Fijian descent. To me, she really represents the changing face of the Pacific in many ways. Following on from a really successful show in Sydney, ‘The Evolving Face’ I wanted to move away from the mugshot poses of the previous body and bring more attitude and exuberance and Sereima was perfect because she is the absolute embodiment of those things." - Askew One Diaspora Tolu Original Painting by Askew One Diaspora Tolu is a vibrant and thought-provoking 2015 original painting by renowned graffiti and Street Pop Art artist Askew One. Crafted with enamel and acrylic on plexiglass, this piece forms part of Askew One’s iconic exploration of migration and identity within the Pacific region. Measuring 20x14 and custom framed, the painting combines bold abstraction with dynamic patterns and rich symbolism. Signed by the artist, Diaspora Tolu stands as a testament to Askew One’s innovative approach to modern pop art, blending cultural narrative with cutting-edge artistic techniques. The Inspiration Behind Diaspora Tolu Diaspora Tolu was created during Askew One’s six-week residency in Los Angeles in preparation for his solo show at Known Gallery. This pivotal series explored themes of migration, transformation, and cultural identity, blending head portraits with smaller abstract works to convey the complexities of Pacific diaspora. Diaspora Tolu, as part of the abstract collection, signifies the movement of people, culture, and ideas across oceans and generations. The series draws inspiration from Sereima, a Sydney-based model of Fijian descent, who represents the evolving face of the Pacific. Askew One sought to move beyond traditional portraiture and infuse his work with energy and exuberance, which is reflected in the swirling lines, dynamic shapes, and vivid color palette of Diaspora Tolu. This piece captures the rhythm and motion of migration, embodying both historical journeys and contemporary cultural exchanges. Artistic Techniques in Diaspora Tolu Diaspora Tolu exemplifies Askew One’s mastery of combining graffiti-inspired techniques with sophisticated artistic methodologies. The use of enamel and acrylic on plexiglass creates a luminous, glossy surface that enhances the vibrancy of the colors. Bold strokes of pink, green, and blue intersect with precise geometric patterns, creating a sense of movement and energy. The circular composition within the work emphasizes continuity and connection, drawing viewers into its layered narrative. The artist’s graffiti roots are evident in the dynamic linework and spontaneous energy of the piece, while the meticulous execution demonstrates his dedication to craftsmanship. The integration of abstract forms and vibrant hues transforms this work into a visual metaphor for the complexity of identity and the richness of cultural exchange. Diaspora Tolu bridges the gap between urban art and fine art, making it an exemplary piece of Street Pop Art. The Significance of Diaspora Tolu Diaspora Tolu is a powerful representation of Askew One’s ability to use art as a medium for storytelling and cultural dialogue. The work captures the fluidity of identity in a world shaped by migration, celebrating the interconnectedness of the Pacific’s diverse cultures. Its vibrant colors and abstract design speak to both the challenges and beauty of movement and transformation. As part of a larger body of work created during a transformative period in Askew One’s career, Diaspora Tolu highlights the artist’s innovative approach to graffiti and Street Pop Art. It embodies the essence of his artistic vision: a commitment to elevating urban art into the realm of cultural and social commentary. For collectors and admirers of contemporary art, Diaspora Tolu is not just a striking visual piece but also a meaningful exploration of heritage, identity, and global connection.

  • Untitled House Original Acrylic Spray Paint Painting by Kunstrasen

Kunstrasen Untitled House Original Acrylic Spray Paint Painting by Kunstrasen

Untitled House Original Acrylic Spray Paint Painting by Kunstrasen One of a Kind Artwork on Stretched Gallery Wrapped Canvas by Street Art Pop Artist. 2022 Signed by Kunstrasen & Dated Acrylic Spray Paint Mixed Media Painting Original Artwork Size 6x6. Slight Scuffing Along Tacking Edge. Exploring the Vivid Storytelling of Kunstrasen's Untitled House The "Untitled House" by Kunstrasen is a compelling piece of street pop art that portrays the nuanced interplay between domestic tranquility and disruption. Crafted in 2022, this original artwork is a one-of-a-kind expression featuring the bold and raw energy characteristic of street art pop artists. Kunstrasen's work is created with acrylic spray paint on a stretched gallery-wrapped canvas, offering a textural and vibrant visual experience. The piece, modest in size at 6x6 inches, is a testament to the artist's ability to communicate complex narratives within a confined space, a skill that street pop artists have honed to utilize in public spaces effectively. Signature Elements in Kunstrasen's Artistic Expression Kunstrasen's signature style is present in this unique piece, combining stenciling techniques typical of graffiti artwork with the vivid color palette often associated with pop art. The artwork showcases an image that is simple yet profound in its symbolism—a house that represents familiarity and safety is juxtaposed with an act of vandalism, a flaming Molotov cocktail that introduces an element of chaos and raises questions about the security of the seemingly serene domestic scene. Using stencils allows for sharp, clean lines that define the forms, while the spray paint brings an element of spontaneity and motion, particularly visible in the flames that lick the side of the house. Cultural Resonance of "Untitled House" in Modern Art In "Untitled House," Kunstrasen taps into the cultural resonance of street pop art by reflecting on themes of security, risk, and the unexpected events that can disrupt the peace of home life. The anonymity of the figure perpetrating the act and the generic depiction of the house universalizes the message, allowing viewers from different backgrounds to relate to the artwork. This approach reflects a core characteristic of street pop art and graffiti artwork—its ability to speak universally, often with simple yet striking imagery that a broad audience can quickly absorb and understand. Collectability and Influence of Kunstrasen's Work Despite its small size, the "Untitled House" holds significant weight in terms of collectability and influence. Original works by street artists like Kunstrasen are highly coveted, as they carry the essence of street art into private collections, allowing the streets' raw and often public commentary to be appreciated in a personal context. The piece, signed and dated by the artist, carries the authenticity and individuality that collectors and enthusiasts of street pop art and graffiti artwork deeply value. Pieces like this continue to blur the lines between high art and street art, challenging traditional notions of what is considered valuable or gallery-worthy. In the world of street pop art and graffiti artwork, "Untitled House" by Kunstrasen is a powerful statement, a snapshot of the conflict between order and chaos that defines much of the human experience. The work is a reminder of the potency of visual storytelling and how artists like Kunstrasen can capture complex societal dynamics in a single, striking image. As the appreciation for street art continues to grow, works such as this will undoubtedly continue to provoke thought and conversation, cementing their place in the evolving narrative of contemporary art.

Childs Face 84 Original One of a Kind Oil Mixed Media Painting Artwork on Cardboard by Popular Modern Impressionist Artist Peter Keil. 1984 Signed 12x16 Original Peter Keil Painting of a large child boy's face. Some paint chipped on the cheek, as is common with Peter Keil originals. Peter Keil's Child's Face '84: A Fusion of Expressionism and Street Pop Art The "Child's Face '84" by Peter Keil stands as a vibrant example of how modern impressionist techniques can intersect with the ethos of Street Pop Art and Graffiti Artwork. Measuring 12x16 inches, this original oil mixed media painting on cardboard brings forth the distinct style of Keil, often recognized for his spontaneous, bold approach to modern art. The painting, which presents a giant boy's face, encapsulates the innocence and expressiveness associated with children, rendered through the lens of Keil's vivid, impressionistic style. Characteristic of Peter Keil's original works, this piece exhibits some paint chipping on the cheek, a natural consequence of the artist's heavy impasto technique and the delicate nature of cardboard as a medium. The chips do not detract from the artwork's impact; instead, they add to the piece's narrative, reflecting the passage of time and the tactile history of Keil's artistic process. This textural element, common in Keil's originals, underscores the raw, unfiltered emotion he seeks to capture in his subjects. Interpreting Keil's Artistic Language in Child's Face '84 Interpreting Keil's "Child's Face '84" requires an appreciation of his artistic language, which merges the abstracted forms of impressionism with street art's vibrant colors and emotional immediacy. Keil's portrayal goes beyond simply representing a child's features; it explores character and emotion conveyed through exaggerated forms and a rich color palette. The large, luminous eyes dominate the composition, serving as windows to the child's soul and echoing the depth of human experience that Keil aims to explore through his art. The choice of cardboard as a substrate for this piece mainly tells of Keil's intention to bridge the gap between conventional fine art and the more accessible, everyday materials often used in Street Pop Art and Graffiti Artwork. This unconventional choice reflects a democratization of art, a key theme in street art, where the emphasis is on making art available and relatable to a broad audience. By utilizing cardboard, Keil challenges traditional art norms and aligns himself with a form of artistic expression grounded in the realities of urban life. The Lasting Influence of Keil's Approach to Portraiture The lasting influence of Peter Keil's approach to portraiture is evident in "Child's Face '84." His work, often categorized under the umbrella of modern impressionism, resonates with a broader range of art forms, including Street Pop Art and Graffiti Artwork. Keil's contribution to these genres lies in his ability to infuse traditional portrait painting with a sense of immediacy and street-wise rawness often found in urban art. This painting, with its bold contours and striking colors, is a testament to Keil's innovative spirit and impact on contemporary art. Furthermore, the painting's vibrant quality, a defining characteristic of Keil's work, underscores the expressive potential of Street Pop Art and Graffiti Artwork. "Child's Face '84" exemplifies how these genres can convey complex emotional narratives, challenging the perception that street art is solely concerned with public commentary or social critique. Keil's portrait is a celebration of individuality and the human spirit, encapsulated within the gaze of a child and articulated through the medium of paint. Peter Keil's "Child's Face '84" is a significant piece that captures the intersection of modern impressionism with the dynamic world of Street Pop Art and Graffiti Artwork. The painting's spontaneous execution, vibrant colors, and textural nuances contribute to its enduring appeal and status as a meaningful representation of Keil's artistic vision. As a piece that bears the marks of its creation, it continues to engage and inspire, offering a window into the depth and diversity of Keil's oeuvre.

All of Peter Keil's Art Used Thick Paint & Some Paint Flaking May Be Present Due to the Age and Nature of His Work. Painting of Andy Warhol Friend Face Pruple Red & White. Intense Expressionism in Peter Keil's Warhol 02 Red Purple The "Warhol 02 Red Purple Original Oil Painting" by Peter Keil, also known as The Wild Man of Berlin, is a captivating exploration of form and color through the lens of Neo-Expressionism. This one-of-a-kind artwork on a Masonite panel embodies the spirited energy of the artist, a famous contemporary figure known for his daring use of colors and profound representation of faces. The 2002 piece, signed and stamped with the year by Keil, is a square of emotion measuring 24x24 inches, where the thick application of paint forms an image of Andy Warhol, revealing the profound influence of pop art on Keil's work. The "Warhol 02 Red Purple" painting is a testament to this style, with its vibrant reds and deep purples merging to form the iconic visage of Warhol, set against a stark white background. Peter Keil's Contribution to Contemporary Art Peter Keil's contribution to street pop art and graffiti artwork is substantial, as he brings street art's raw, untamed essence into the gallery. His work eschews the conventional polish and restraint often associated with fine art, instead embracing a wild abandon more commonly found on the streets and in the alleys where graffiti thrives. The "Warhol 02 Red Purple" vividly illustrates this philosophy, with the painting's subject – a pop art pioneer – being depicted in Keil's uninhibited style, creating a bridge between the two artistic worlds. Each of Keil's paintings is an original narrative, a story told in the visual language of colors and shapes. Collectors and enthusiasts of Keil's work are attracted to his paintings' intense emotion and distinctive style. In the case of "Warhol 02 Red Purple," the allure is enhanced by the subject matter – the legendary Andy Warhol – which positions the painting at the intersection of pop art heritage and contemporary artistic innovation. Owning a piece by Peter Keil is more than an acquisition of art; it is an immersion into the vibrant life story of the painting itself. The flaking paint, the bold strokes, and the striking contrasts create an experience that is as evocative and complex as the artist himself. The "Warhol 02 Red Purple" is a vibrant symbol of Keil's enduring artistic vision and impact on the art world. The "Warhol 02 Red Purple Original Oil Painting" by Peter Keil is a visual feast and an essential piece of contemporary art history. This work encapsulates the essence of street pop art and graffiti through the lens of a master painter whose unorthodox approach to art has captured the attention of the global art community. Keil's painting celebrates expressive freedom and the power of art to convey profound human emotion and thought.

  • Diaspora Rua Original Enamel Acrylic Painting by Askew One

Askew One Diaspora Rua Original Enamel Acrylic Painting by Askew One

Diaspora Rua Original Painting Enamel and Acrylic on Plexiglass by Askew One Graffiti Street Artist Modern Pop Art. Following on from a really successful show in Sydney, ‘The Evolving Face’ I wanted to move away from the mugshot poses of the previous body and bring more attitude and exuberance and Sereima was perfect because she is the absolute embodiment of those things." - Askew One Diaspora Rua Original Painting by Askew One Diaspora Rua is a captivating 2015 original painting by renowned graffiti and Street Pop Art artist Askew One. Created using enamel and acrylic on plexiglass, this piece showcases Askew One’s ability to combine bold abstraction with cultural commentary. Custom framed and measuring 20x14, this signed artwork forms part of a series that explores themes of migration and identity in the Pacific. The work’s intricate layering and dynamic patterns make it a striking example of Askew One’s innovative approach to modern pop art. The Concept Behind Diaspora Rua Diaspora Rua was conceived during a significant period in Askew One’s career, while he was preparing for a solo exhibition at Known Gallery in Los Angeles. This series reflects the idea of migration across the Pacific, both from a historical and contemporary perspective. Diaspora Rua, as part of the abstract works in this series, signifies the movement of people and cultures, using bold shapes and vivid colors to convey the fluidity and energy of migration. The series draws inspiration from Sereima, a Sydney-based model of Fijian descent, who represents the evolving identity of the Pacific. Her energy and cultural background informed much of the work, embodying the intersection of traditional and modern influences. Askew One’s shift away from mugshot-style portraits to more dynamic compositions reflects his desire to capture not only the visual aspects of identity but also its inherent vibrancy and transformation. Artistic Techniques in Diaspora Rua Diaspora Rua exemplifies Askew One’s mastery of combining graffiti-inspired techniques with refined artistic practices. The use of enamel and acrylic on plexiglass creates a sleek, glossy finish that enhances the vibrancy of the colors. The circular design within the painting draws the viewer’s attention inward, evoking a sense of motion and connection. The layering of shapes and patterns, along with the contrast of neon hues against black, creates a compelling visual narrative. This work is emblematic of Street Pop Art’s ability to transform everyday materials into fine art. The influence of graffiti is evident in the bold lines and spontaneous energy of the composition, while the meticulous execution speaks to Askew One’s dedication to craftsmanship. The abstract nature of Diaspora Rua allows it to transcend literal representation, engaging viewers in a deeper exploration of its themes. The Cultural Significance of Diaspora Rua Diaspora Rua stands as a testament to Askew One’s commitment to using art as a means of storytelling and cultural preservation. Through its abstract forms and vibrant colors, the painting captures the spirit of migration and the interconnectedness of cultures in the Pacific. It reflects the evolving identity of the region, celebrating its history while embracing its modern, dynamic nature. As part of a pivotal series in Askew One’s career, Diaspora Rua highlights the artist’s ability to merge personal narrative with broader cultural themes. Its combination of bold aesthetics and meaningful content ensures its place as a significant piece within contemporary Street Pop Art. Painting Original Artwork
Graffiti is an art form that originated on the streets and has gained recognition as a legitimate form of artistic expression. Graffiti artists use various materials and mediums to create their works, including spray paint, markers, and stickers. While graffiti is often associated with the urban environment and public spaces, it has also made its way into galleries and museums as fine art. Both canvas and fine art paper are great options for displaying graffiti art, and the choice ultimately depends on the artist's preference and the desired effect of the artwork. Canvas may be preferred for larger, more expressive works, while fine art paper may be better suited for detailed or intricate designs. Graffiti paintings on canvas and fine art paper are two popular mediums for displaying graffiti art. Graffiti paintings on canvas typically involve using spray paint and other materials to create an image on a canvas surface. The canvas provides a durable and long-lasting surface for the artwork and can be easily stretched and framed for display. Fine art paper, on the other hand, is a high-quality paper designed for printing fine art prints. Graffiti artists can create digital designs that are then printed onto the paper, resulting in a high-quality print that can be framed and displayed like traditional art. Nowadays, graffiti art has found its way into the world of more traditional disciplines too, such as painting. In this case, it is not uncommon that the artwork is based on the same techniques and resources as traditional graffiti. As a result, the use of typical spray paint can be used in creating graffiti paintings as well. Nonetheless, it is, also, possible that artists use other kinds of resources, more usually found inside art studios, such as pens, watercolors, oil paint e.tc, which are not conventionally utilized for the creation of works on the streets. Simultaneously, graffiti in the form of paintings, digital or handmade, allows the artists to take their time and focus on the creative process, especially taking into consideration the legal consequences of creating on public sites. Thus, frequently both the preparatory process and the potential exhibition of the painting works can be made indoors, making apparent how much graffiti has evolved over the decades. Finally, graffiti in the form of paintings seems to last longer in comparison with art on the streets, where local authorities tend to clean or cover up numerous pieces due to their illegal status. On the other hand, exactly due to their creation behind closed doors, such pieces tend to win less visibility since they are not exposed to the public on an everyday basis. Graffiti emerged in the US during the late 1960s, and, naturally, almost 50 years later, this art has gone through many stages of reformation. Aspects of the creative process, such as the materials in use and the techniques, have evolved tremendously, as well as the perception of graffiti as a respectable form of art.  On top of that, the former “writers” or “taggers” are now referred to as artists, a development that arose with the evergrowing institutionalization and commercialization of graffiti. Needless to say, graffiti has never ceased to exist in public sight and, with time, authorities all over the world have come to accept to a certain extent the presence of it inside the city web. As a result, the legal status of “writing” has enabled artists to experiment more freely with new materials and techniques, a development that has emerged especially during the past decade. Painting Original Artwork & Painting Original Artwork Graffiti Street Pop Art
