Nychos Dissection Of The White Rabbit AP Archival Print by Nychos

Purchase Dissection Of The White Rabbit Limited Edition Archival Pigment Print on 300gsm Museum Natural Fine Art Paper by Nychos Graffiti Street Artist Modern Pop Art. AP Artist Proof 2013Signed & Marked AP Artwork Size 16x16 "I painted this piece in January of this year, right before I went to Hawaii for Pow Wow. It was also featured in my recent solo show in Italy that showcased some of my recent dissections. The concept is based on the graphical graffiti throw-up that I have been doing since around 2005, but I had to of course do a dissection of this one! The image is now also the main logo for Rabbit Eye Movement (REM). REM started as a street art concept, based in Vienna, but I always saw the Rabbit Eye Movement as an homage to all the “rabbits” out there being active in the urban art movement, it doesn’t matter what kind of mission they are following. The movement grew and REM has now expanded to establish the REM ARTSPACE, a place that addresses national and international artists from different genres like graffiti, urban illustration, street art, lowbrow and pop culture imagery and gives room for the individual, but also collective creativity, in order to open minds and cultivate passionate inspiration." - Nychos

The thought of what they represent make most people smile when they see the art. They bring back memories of when we wanted to look our best, how we wanted to present ourselves to the world at that particular time. When one pomade didn't give us the look that we were trying to achieve (primarily waves), we'd switch to another one—it would create debates about which was the best. The bold colors and interesting use of typography on the tin can packaging were other details of interest, they were iconic, and I wanted to recapture that." –Darien Birks

So we painted a giant radio on it. Since then I wanted to pay a long over-due homage to this building in Bushwick, Brooklyn that no longer exists. The original mural was just flat black with metallic silver spray paint, so when I decided to finally make a print I felt like it had to have that same feel. Peeta Tell Your Bumps Archival Print by Peeta

Purchase Tell Your Bumps Limited Edition Archival Pigment Print on 310gsm Fine Art Paper by Peeta Graffiti Street Artist Modern Pop Art. "This piece is part of a 2011 production. Most of the works I have painted during the last part of that year follow the same trend: the painting of fictional brush strokes over the 3d piece on canvas. The practice inspired me to create new volumetric and dynamic effects. Each time I paint a new canvas, I aim to discover the most optimal way to use colors, light and shade to reach a three-dimensional result. Layering splashes of color over the letters brings into keen focus their three-dimensionality, transforming them into real objects that not only cast shadows but also receive or obscure the subsequent blottings and swipes of paint." - Peeta

  • Speaking Quantum PP Archival Print by Peeta

Peeta Speaking Quantum PP Archival Print by Peeta

Purchase Speaking Quantum PP Printer Proof Archival Print by Peeta Limited Edition Print on 290gsm Moab Entrada Fine Art Paper Pop Artist Modern Artwork. PP Printers Proof 2012 Signed & Marked PP Limited Edition Artwork Size 26x16 Archival Pigment Fine Art The Artistic Fusion in "Speaking Quantum" by Peeta "Speaking Quantum" is a compelling example of how the abstract concepts of quantum physics can be rendered through the vivid language of street pop art and graffiti artwork. This Printer's Proof (PP) archival print by the artist Peeta showcases an exquisite interplay between form, color, and the illusion of dimensionality, resonating deeply with the ethos of modern artwork. As a limited edition print on 290gsm Moab Entrada fine art paper, it is not just a piece of art but a slice of contemporary pop culture that has been frozen in time. Created in 2012, Peeta signed and marked this artwork as a Printer's Proof, signifying its status as a rare and often more valued edition than the numbered series. The PP mark indicates that the piece was part of a small batch used to verify quality before the main run, often held back by the artist or publisher for their archives or special distributions. The size of the artwork, 26x16 inches, is substantial enough to impact the viewer, drawing them into the piece's complex layers and sweeping curves. Peeta's work is renowned for its three-dimensional effects, creating a sense of depth and movement that challenges the viewer's perception. "Speaking Quantum" is remarkably evocative, with its forms twisting and folding into each other, creating an almost tactile experience. The use of archival pigment ensures that the nuances of color and the precision of the lines are preserved, protecting the vibrancy of the artwork for years to come. Peeta's Vision in the Context of Street Pop and Graffiti Art In the context of street pop art and graffiti artwork, "Speaking Quantum" stands out for its innovative approach to the graffiti art form. Peeta, a graffiti artist with a unique style that often incorporates sculptural art elements, has translated street art's dynamic energy onto fine art paper. This piece, with its abstract representation and intricate design, reflects a mature iteration of graffiti art that moves beyond lettering and into the realm of high art. The piece does not just represent the artist's vision but embodies the fluid nature of street pop art—constantly evolving, pushing boundaries, and exploring new territories. Peeta's choice to capture the essence of quantum physics—often associated with the subatomic and the uncertain—through graffiti art is a testament to the versatility and depth of the street art form. The artwork serves as a dialogue between the known and the unknown, the seen and the unseen, much like quantum physics. "Speaking Quantum" invites viewers to interpret the converging and diverging elements to find meaning in the abstract forms. The fluidity and movement in the piece suggest a moment of transformation, a visual representation of energy in flux. It's a modern artifact that enriches the visual landscape and sparks curiosity and introspection, inviting a deeper engagement with the world of quantum mechanics and the art it inspires. In preserving "Speaking Quantum" as a limited edition print, Peeta allows art enthusiasts and collectors to engage with street pop art in a new dimension. It's an invitation to explore the intersections of art, science, and philosophy through the lens of graffiti artwork, marking a distinctive point in the journey of street art from the alleys and subways into the galleries and private collections. The existence of this piece as a PP print elevates its status, ensuring that it remains an exclusive and sought-after piece within the realms of pop and graffiti art culture.

Jana Brike The Day When Time Stood Still Archival Print by Jana Brike

Purchase The Day When Time Stood Still Limited Edition Archival Pigment Prints on 290gsm Moab Rag Fine Art Paper by Jana Brike Graffiti Street Artist Modern Pop Art. "The painting title is a complete paradox, of course. It is connected to my perception of reality in meditative states. The actual theme is based both, on the girl-tribe relationship, and loosely on three graces story. It explores what is beauty to me. Beauty is a feeling. It is not to be merely pretty. It includes bravery, and wisdom, and strength, and imperfections that make one unique. Beauty is a feeling, and you need a feeling to perceive it. Beauty is a heart shining out, and you need your heart’s eye open to see it. This piece definitely was more ambitious than any of my previous work. More detailed. Also, before this one, I rarely if ever painted more than one figure. My characters were always lonely, trapped within their own self-sufficient universe. Starting from this one, relationships between the characters in my work have become more and more important for me." - Jana Brike

PP Printers Proof 2019 Signed & Marked PP Limited Edition Artwork Size 12x16 Archival Pigment Fine Art  Delving into 'Medusae PP' by Sarah Joncas 'Medusae PP,' an archival print by Sarah Joncas, is a visual symphony of mythological resonance and contemporary finesse. As a Printer's Proof (PP) of a 2019 limited edition, this piece marks a unique intersection in Joncas's oeuvre, where the ethereal meets the tangible on fine art paper. Signed and drawn by the artist, the artwork measures 12x16 inches. It is printed on 290gsm Moab fine art paper, a testament to its enduring quality and the artist's dedication to preserving the integrity of her vision. Symbolism and Femininity in Joncas's Work The print, titled 'Medusae,' explores femininity and transformation, depicting a woman whose hair and form are an extension of the sea, with jellyfish-like tendrils that suggest a mesmerizing, if not slightly ominous, aura. This imagery evokes the myth of Medusa, a figure both feared and revered, and it resonates with the transformative power of nature—a theme that Joncas weaves with deftness throughout her work. In 'Medusae PP,' Joncas's subject is enigmatic, her gaze evading direct contact with the viewer, inviting a narrative that is as open to interpretation as the vast sea. Cool tones and the contrast of the subject's warm, flowing hair capture the viewer's attention, drawing them into a world where myth and modernity merge. Artistic Process and Limited Editions Creating a Printer's Proof like 'Medusae PP' involves a close collaboration between the artist and the printmaker, ensuring that each color and line reflects the original painting's essence. The PP designation signifies that this print precedes the numbered edition, reserved for the artist's use and typically held in high regard by collectors for its rarity and authenticity. Joncas's choice of archival pigment fine art reflects her commitment to creating works that endure beyond the ephemerality often associated with street art. By doing so, she elevates the medium, aligning it with the longevity of fine art while maintaining the accessibility and appeal inherent to street pop art. Sarah Joncas's Impact on Modern Art Sarah Joncas's impact on the contemporary art scene is marked by her ability to imbue her subjects with a sense of depth that transcends the canvas. Her work is often seen as a bridge between the immediacy of street pop art and the meticulous nature of fine art printing, positioning her as an essential figure in both domains. 'Medusae PP' is not merely an image but an invitation to delve into the psyche to confront the narratives we construct around femininity, beauty, and transformation. Joncas's work, particularly this print, is a testament to the enduring power of myth and the ever-evolving discourse of pop, street art, and graffiti artwork. Through her art, Joncas continues to challenge, enchant, and inspire, cementing her role as a pivotal artist in the narrative of modern art.

It’s hard to say how long they took to create because salvaging the panels from a variety of places over a long time is just as much of a part the art as laying down the paint on top of them. Each piece has it’s own history embedded onto itself. Each piece is hand crafted and each panel has been painted and processed by me. I like the idea of small production works that let people get a original piece of art for the cost of some prints these days.I have been saving these panels for a while and finally it was time to cut them down and make some art out of them. Paintings of the same stenciled image but each looking 100% original to itself. Each piece has it’s own distinct character and personality while keeping the repetition of the Thoughtcrime." - BASK

The illusion created presents an unexpected reality shift that takes the viewer out of their own experience, offering a refreshing change in perspective and a view into another dimension." - Aakash Nihalani

It's similar to 'Op-art' (Optical Art) which makes your eyes trip out. It's an effect that alters your perception as if you were on Psychedelic drugs. Some of the Psychedelic designs I made were featured in Remix, and some of them I created specifically for this series. This particular 'Sunset Strip' design I made with more complexity for my solo exhibition Remix. The Remix exhibition was about interchanging and swapping different cut patterns of the same design, in different colors to achieve the final piece. Purchase Star Skull- Kickstarter Limited Edition Giclee Print on Fine Art Paper by Ron English counter-culture street artist art. 2015 Signed & Numbered Limited Kickstarter Bonus Exclusive Edition of 50 Artwork Size 16x16 Ron English's Artistic Impact The "Star Skull" giclee print by Ron English presents a captivating fusion of street pop art and graffiti artwork, emblematic of the counter-culture ethos the artist is renowned for. As a Kickstarter limited edition release in 2015, this piece showcases English's signature blend of high-concept visual art with subversive overtones rendered on fine art paper. Ron English is a prolific and quintessential figure in contemporary art, mainly known for his role in the subversive street art movement. His works often incorporate a mash-up of high and low cultural touchstones, ranging from superhero mythology to totems of art history, recontextualized in a modern narrative. English's "Star Skull" is no exception; the artwork is a complex visual statement that dives deep into the themes of mortality and the omnipresence of pop culture. The skull, an enduring symbol in art history, is transformed through English's lens into a vibrant, iridescent object that captures the gaze with its haunting beauty. The star emblazoned across the skull's cranium starkly contrasts the naturalistic rendering of the bone structure. This juxtaposition speaks to the artist's fascination with American iconography and the often superficial allure of fame and materialism. Significance in Street Art and Pop Art This limited edition print, sized at 16x16 inches, is particularly significant as it was offered as a Kickstarter bonus exclusive, reflecting the changing landscape of how art is funded and consumed. The exclusivity of the edition, limited to only 50 signed and numbered prints, increases its collectibility and underlines the personalized connection Ron English fosters with his audience. "Star Skull" embodies the essence of street pop art in its accessibility and the DIY ethos of graffiti art culture. The medium of giclee print, known for its ability to faithfully reproduce the color and detail of original artworks, is ideally suited to English's vibrant palette and meticulous detail. Collectors of English's work appreciate the aesthetic and thematic richness of his art and the value of owning a piece that is part of a limited run, signifying its rarity and the artist's direct touch. The Collectible Nature of "Star Skull" The piece's presence in the art market as a Kickstarter exclusive highlights the changing dynamics of art patronage, with more direct artist-audience relationships and alternative platforms for art distribution. English's decision to release "Star Skull" through Kickstarter signifies his embrace of contemporary methods for engaging with the art community, democratizing the art acquisition process. In the context of modern art, "Star Skull" stands as a testament to the enduring relevance of street pop art and graffiti artwork. It encapsulates the immediacy and confrontation found in street art with the conceptual depth and polished finish that fine art printmaking affords. As such, it is a visually striking piece and a significant artifact of contemporary art history, marking the intersection of traditional art forms with the insurgent spirit of street art. In summary, Ron English's "Star Skull" Kickstarter limited edition giclee print is a vivid example of the potent dialogue between street pop art and graffiti artwork and the counter-culture narrative that English is celebrated for. Through this piece, English continues to challenge viewers with his blend of the familiar and the extraordinary, cementing his role as a pivotal figure in the narrative of contemporary art.

Print Fine Art

Print Art in the Context of Street Pop Art and Graffiti Artwork

As it pertains to Street Pop Art and Graffiti Artwork, print art represents a dynamic and influential medium that has played a crucial role in the dissemination and evolution of these art forms. Historically, printmaking has been a vital tool for artists to reproduce their work efficiently and accessibly, allowing them to reach a broader audience. In the context of street and pop art, print art encompasses various techniques, including screen printing, stencil printing, and lithography, each offering unique possibilities for artistic expression and mass distribution. This medium has enabled artists to challenge traditional notions of art, bringing their work from the streets to the galleries and vice versa.

Evolution and Techniques of Print Fine Art in Street and Pop Art

The evolution of print art within street and pop art genres is marked by its adoption by iconic artists like Andy Warhol and Keith Haring, who utilized screen printing techniques to create vibrant, high-impact images. This approach allowed for the repetition of bold graphics and bright colors, typical of pop art aesthetics. In street art, printmaking techniques, especially stenciling, became instrumental for artists like Banksy and Shepard Fairey. Stencils allowed for quick, reproducible designs that could be executed rapidly in public spaces. These techniques not only facilitated a more efficient way of producing art but also contributed to the signature styles of these artists, making their work instantly recognizable. The journey of print art within the realms of street and pop art has been one of innovation, adaptation, and significant influence. Iconic figures like Andy Warhol and Keith Haring played pivotal roles in this evolution. Warhol, a leading figure in the pop art movement, revolutionized the concept of art production through his use of screen printing. His technique, characterized by the repetition of photographic images and the use of bold, vivid colors, challenged traditional notions of originality and artistic genius. This approach was perfectly aligned with the pop art movement's ethos, which sought to blur the lines between 'high' art and 'low' cultural imagery, often derived from mass media and consumer culture. Keith Haring, another seminal artist, leveraged print art to create dynamic, high-energy works that were accessible and relatable. His art, often filled with simple yet impactful imagery, was rooted in the street culture of New York City. Haring's use of bold lines and bright colors became synonymous with the visual language of the 1980s and left a lasting imprint on the pop art landscape. His work also exemplified the democratizing power of print art, as he often produced prints of his work to make it more accessible to a broader audience.

Print Art's Impact on Accessibility and Distribution

One of the most significant impacts of print art in Street Pop Art and Graffiti Artwork is its role in democratizing art. By enabling mass production, print art has allowed street and pop artists to distribute their work widely, challenging the exclusivity of traditional art forms and galleries. This accessibility has been essential in shaping public perception of street and pop art, transforming them from subcultural expressions to respected and sought-after art forms. Furthermore, the affordability of prints has made it possible for a broader audience to own and engage with art, breaking down barriers between the artists and the public. Both in street and pop art, print art has served as a vehicle for mass communication and cultural critique. The ability to produce multiple copies of a single image has allowed artists to reach a wider audience, spreading their visual messages far and wide. This aspect of print art aligns well with the ethos of street and pop art, which often comment on consumerism, political issues, and societal norms. The replication of images in print art echoes the mass-produced nature of the consumer goods and media imagery that these art movements often critique.

Print Fine Art Contemporary Trends and Future Directions

In the current artistic milieu, print art stands at the crossroads of tradition and innovation. The advent of digital technology has ushered in a new era for printmaking, allowing artists to infuse time-honored techniques with cutting-edge processes. This fusion has given rise to a genre of hybrid works that blur the lines between analog and digital, handcrafted and machine-produced, tangible and virtual. Such innovations reflect the fluid nature of Street Pop Art and Graffiti Artwork, where staying static is not an option, and evolution is the norm. Artists entrenched in the domains of street pop art and graffiti are redefining the scope of print art by incorporating elements of 3D modeling, digital collage, and algorithmic design. The textures, colors, and forms that were once exclusive to the digital realm are now being translated onto physical prints, expanding the visual vocabulary of the artists and offering new experiences to the audience. As these digital techniques become more sophisticated, the ability to manipulate images and create complex layers has resulted in prints that are not only artworks but also technical marvels. The integration of augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) with traditional print art is another frontier that is being explored. AR-enabled prints can transform static images into interactive experiences, engaging viewers in a multisensory journey. Similarly, VR can take the essence of a print and expand it into an immersive environment, allowing the audience to step into a world crafted by the artist. These developments are not just expanding the canvas for artists but are also redefining the relationship between the artwork and the viewer. Environmental sustainability is also shaping the future of print art. As the world becomes more ecologically conscious, artists are seeking ways to reduce the environmental impact of their work. This has led to the exploration of eco-friendly inks, recycled materials, and alternative energies in the creation of prints. The street pop art and graffiti scenes, which have always had a dialogue with the urban environment, are now extending this conversation to the planet's wellbeing, making art that not only speaks to societal issues but also treads lightly on the earth. The democratization of art through digital platforms has had a significant impact on print art. Social media and online galleries have made it easier for artists to showcase their work and for collectors to discover and acquire new pieces. This accessibility is breaking down the barriers between artists and audiences, fostering a global community of creators and enthusiasts. The ease of sharing and selling prints online is not only boosting the visibility of artists but is also contributing to the cultural and economic vitality of the art market. Looking forward, print art is poised to embrace even more radical transformations. Advances in biotechnology and materials science could lead to living prints that change over time, grow, or even respond to their environment. The exploration of space and celestial bodies as new canvases for art is another realm that printmaking could venture into. The ethos of street pop art and graffiti, with their roots in challenging the status quo and pushing boundaries, aligns perfectly with these forward-thinking prospects. In the grand tapestry of Street Pop Art and Graffiti Artwork, print art continues to be a thread that weaves together the past and the future. It stands as a testament to the resilience and adaptability of these art forms, evolving to meet the moment while never losing sight of their foundational principles. As technology progresses and society changes, print art will undoubtedly remain at the forefront of artistic innovation, capturing the imagination of artists and audiences alike for generations to come.

The Enduring Legacy of Print Art in Modern Art Movements

The enduring legacy of print art in Street Pop Art and Graffiti Artwork lies in its ability to amplify the artist's voice and reach a diverse audience. Its influence extends beyond art creation to social and political activism, where prints have often been used for communication and protest. As artists continue to explore and reinvent printmaking techniques, the medium remains a vital component of these vibrant and ever-evolving art forms. Print art, with its rich history and innovative future, continues to be a testament to the power of art to transcend boundaries and connect people across different cultures and backgrounds. The continued evolution and adaptation of print art within street and pop art underscore its significance in these genres. As new technologies and materials emerge, artists are finding innovative ways to incorporate printmaking into their work, pushing the boundaries of what can be achieved visually and conceptually. Digital printing, for example, has opened up new possibilities for complexity, precision, and experimentation in color and form. The journey of print art in street and pop art is a testament to the dynamic and ever-changing nature of these artistic movements. From Warhol's screen prints to Banksy's stenciled walls, print art has been instrumental in defining the visual and conceptual landscape of street and pop art. It continues to be a vital medium for artists to express their visions, engage with audiences, and comment on the world around them.
