So we painted a giant radio on it. Since then I wanted to pay a long over-due homage to this building in Bushwick, Brooklyn that no longer exists. The original mural was just flat black with metallic silver spray paint, so when I decided to finally make a print I felt like it had to have that same feel. So the only way I know how to get that really thick metallic look is to silkscreen print it with good ol' plastisol on tar paper." - Ad Deville of Skewville

"My work speaks of impending doom and a lot of crass sinister themes, but that should not mean I desire this to happen at all. I hope my work would suggest only the opposite: to show the ridiculousness of it all and how we may find better solutions for the future." -Denial In the world of Denial, memory is important, because it is the basis of his work, as it nostalgically encourages the audience to engage with it. As a result, his art is as familiar, as it is disturbing because it reveals the most unsettling parts of society, the ones we are in a “denial” of. No matter its controversial history, graffiti is less and less viewed as a form of vandalism.

    Iron Pueo

Purchase Iron Pueo Slot Machine Limited Edition  7-Color  290gsm Coventry Rag Paper on 130lb Cougar Fine Art Paper by Bask & Meggs street artist modern pop art. "I am honestly amazed at how masterful Tony at Serio Press is at printmaking. I know Meggs put a lot of work into getting this image ready for reproduction too. I must admit that due to my analog method of working, I had to leave this very complex process to the people that have the skills to pull it off. And holy shit did they ever. These prints are fucking incredible. The level of detail and accuracy is mind-blowing. I can't imagine a better way to commemorate the Iron Pueo mural we made." - Bask  "I was stoked on the process of painting this mural and really proud of the end result so I feel privileged that the masters at Serio Press have done such a killer job on this screenprint! I love screen printing and this one of the most technically layered screenprints I've ever been involved with and can safely say looks even more awesome in the flesh than it does in photos. The texture of hand-printed layered inks on the rag paper, with these 7 colors really makes this piece pop with the same original intensity of our mural in Hawaii!" - Meggs

Boombastic HPM 37 HPM Hand-Embellished Archival Pigment Print

Purchase Boombastic HPM 37 Limited Edition Hand-Embellished Archival Pigment Prints Hand Painted Multiple (HPM) on 330gsm Fine Art Paper by Lebo graffiti street artist modern pop art. "This piece was actually inspired by what's called The Roman Standard. I study a lot of ancient history, and in a battle that was how you knew your army was still standing, if the standard still existed. So I just played around with that idea, but instead of using an eagle, I used an owl, which is a symbol of wisdom. There was a bit of negative space that existed after I had finished the painting and I really wanted to expound on some of the smaller elements that were around the piece so that it would create something that would individualize each piece. It basically started with taking these micro-elements in the artwork and making it kind of a macro part. Also, I thought it was important that each piece is breaking out of the composition image, drawing it out, and really bleeding off the image. I really wanted to add more depth and make each one feel more like an original piece that way." - Lebo Slight crease on the upper right-facing margin.

Power Of Movement Archival Pigment Print

Purchase Power Of Movement Limited Edition Archival Pigment Prints on 310gsm Fine Art Paper by Case Maclaim graffiti street artist modern pop art. One of the most poignant aspects common to all of case’s works is the texture of the surfaces he uses. They are painted on a background that is made from pieces of cardboard of various sizes. Most of the cardboard comes from the packaging of the spray paint cans and they are held together with glue, staples and tape. Sometimes bits and pieces of wood are also glued onto the surface, such that a bumpy, one-of-a-kind surface appears. This structure is diametrically opposed to typically overblown, perfectionist images and it gives case’s works their unique character.

Barrels Of Fun- 18 x 15 Archival Pigment Print

Purchase Barrels Of Fun- 18 x 15 Limited Edition Archival Pigment Prints on 310gsm Fine Art Paper by Bob Dob graffiti street artist modern pop art. 2016 Signed & Numbered Limited Edition of 50 Artwork Size 18x15 "This painting was created for my solo show last November called “Exit Home.” The narrative for the show was how numb the general public has become to violence through our entertainment. I took two very recognizable pop culture characters, Mario and Luigi, and removed them from their world and put them into ours as LA gang members. My studio mate at the time was Greg Simkins who helped with the graffiti. All the paintings from the show had elements of L.A. gang culture but this piece “Barrels of Fun” focused on the whole story in one shot.I tried to bring in as many characters from Super Mario Bros as I could. Mario, Luigi, Donkey Kong, and Princess Peach are in the front car with Bowser and some Koopas getting blown up and a few Goombas hanging out on the street." - Bob Dob

"My work speaks of impending doom and a lot of crass sinister themes, but that should not mean I desire this to happen at all. I hope my work would suggest only the opposite: to show the ridiculousness of it all and how we may find better solutions for the future." -Denial Denial’s art is strongly political and social since the artist takes specific positions against issues, such as capitalism, consumer culture, and advertisements. More importantly, the artist is aware of his choices and motivations: “I like to think of myself as activist pop art. How I relate with cartoons and graphics is a lot easier than I do with photo-realistic stuff" Another aspect of Denial's work is humor.  His work is satirical, which, by definition, means that it uses humor as a confronting mechanism.

I hope my work would suggest only the opposite: to show the ridiculousness of it all and how we may find better solutions for the future." -Denial Denial is a Canadian artist who experiments with aerosol and stencil art, while his main fields of interest are consumerism, politics and the human condition in today’s society. Since the culture of graffiti was gaining more and more popularity in the US and Europe, the taggers had to be increasingly original in order to stand out. The signatures became bigger, more stylized and more colorful.

Prints - Sprayed Paint Art Collection

Nowadays, graffiti in the form of prints has taken the world by storm. This is the case for graffiti prints, which often follow the same styles, techniques, or even use of materials but on a different scale and on top of a series of different media instead of the typical use of public walls. However, it is, also, possible that artists use other kinds of resources, more usually found inside art studios, such as pens, watercolors, oil paint e.tc, which are not conventionally utilized for the creation of works on the streets.  Simultaneously, graffiti in the form of prints digital or handmade allows the artists to take their time and focus on the creative process without having to take into consideration the legal consequences of creating on public sites. Nonetheless, undoubtedly the greatest advantage of prints over traditional graffiti is the fact that it can be exhibited multiply in different parts of the same city or even in a series of different cities or countries worldwide.   Finally, graffiti prints seem to a certain extent to last longer in comparison with art that exists exclusively on the streets, where local authorities tend to clean or cover up numerous pieces due to their illegal status. On the other hand, exactly due to their creation behind closed doors, drawings tend to win less visibility, since they are not exposed to the public on an everyday basis.  Graffiti emerged in the US during the late 1960s and, naturally, since then till our days, almost 50 years later, this art has gone through a lot of stages of reformation. Aspects of the creative process such as the materials in use and the techniques have evolved tremendously, as well as the perception of graffiti as a respectable form of art.   On top of that, the former “writers” or “taggers” are now referred to as artists, a development that arose with the evergrowing institutionalization and commercialization of graffiti. Needless to say, graffiti has never ceased to exist in public sight and with time authorities all over the world have come to accept to a certain extent the presence of it inside the city web. As a result, the legal status of “writing” has enabled artists to experiment more freely with new materials and techniques, a development that has emerged especially during the past decade.
