  • Sale -15% Hollow Breath Original Acrylic Charcoal Painting by Craww

Craww Hollow Breath Original Acrylic Charcoal Painting by Craww

Hollow Breath Original One of a Kind Charcoal & Acrylic Painting Artwork on Cradled Wood by Popular Street Graffiti Artist Craww. 2013 Signed Original Acrylic Painting Artwork Size 23.5x31.5 on Wood Cradled Panel Ready to Hang Fine Art. Exploring the Depths of Craww's Hollow Breath "Hollow Breath," a captivating original artwork by the acclaimed street graffiti artist Craww, is a poignant example of how the raw energy of street pop art & graffiti artwork can be channeled into more traditional fine art mediums. This one-of-a-kind piece, created in 2013, is a symphony of charcoal and acrylic on a cradled wood panel, showcasing the artist's adeptness with both materials. The 23.5x31.5 inches artwork provides a generous space for Craww's dark, dreamlike vision to unfold. Signed by the artist, "Hollow Breath" captures the essence of Craww's signature style, which often features ethereal female figures enmeshed with elements of nature. The painting explores recurrent themes in his work: the duality of beauty and melancholy and the intricate dance between life and death. The charcoal lends a softness to the painting, allowing for subtle gradations and depth, while the acrylics bring a vibrancy that pierces through the monochromatic veil. Technique and Symbolism in Craww's Hollow Breath In "Hollow Breath," Craww's use of charcoal and acrylic paints is not merely a choice of preference but a deliberate decision to convey complex emotional states. The charcoal, with its smoky and diffuse quality, creates a sense of impermanence and fragility, echoing the transient nature of life. Meanwhile, the acrylics, known for their boldness and clarity, highlight the painting's focal points, such as the lilies and roses, symbols of purity and passion. The cradled wood panel serves as an ideal substrate for this piece, its solidity starkly contrasting the delicacy of the imagery. This juxtaposition reflects the contrasts found throughout Craww's work, where strength and vulnerability often coexist. The wood's texture adds an organic feel to the piece, grounding it in the natural world that frequently influences Craww's art. Craww's Unique Position in Contemporary Art Craww is uniquely positioned in contemporary art, bridging the gap between the often separate worlds of street art and fine art. "Hollow Breath" is a testament to his ability to navigate these realms, bringing street art's immediacy and authenticity into a format traditionally associated with galleries and museums. The originality of this painting and its readiness to hang make it not just a work of art but a statement piece ready to grace the walls of an art connoisseur. The sad beauty of "Hollow Breath" resonates with those familiar with Craww's work in public spaces. Yet, it also stands alone as a powerful piece of fine art, inviting interpretation and admiration from viewers who may or may not be acquainted with his street art. This versatility and broad appeal make Craww's work particularly compelling within the contemporary art scene. "Hollow Breath" encapsulates the haunting allure of Craww's artistic vision, merging the fluidity of charcoal with the intensity of acrylics on a canvas as enduring as wood. This original painting is a striking example of how street pop art & graffiti artwork can transcend their urban roots to create fine art that is both profound and accessible, carrying the power to move and mesmerize within the quiet walls of an interior space.

"I did an exhibition last year that opened on Valentine's Day which was called ‘One Red Rose Forever’. It’s an old Sailor Jerry tattoo phrase. I always like to revisit and re-imagine my own personal archive of imagery in new ways. This image is a reworking of a much larger piece I painted a couple of years back. I'm always thinking, if my paintings were songs what would they sound like? Often I'll be listening to a song and it'll give me an idea for a painting. All it takes is a phrase, or sometimes I'll come up with a particular profound emotion and try to depict it as an image in the same way a musician would in a song." - Copyright

Ernesto Yerena Montejano- Hecho Con Ganas Sky High Silkscreen Print by Ernesto Yerena Montejano- Hecho Con Ganas

Sky High 4-Color Hand-Pulled Limited Edition Silkscreen Print on Fine Art Paper by Ernesto Yerena Montejano (Hecho Con Ganas) Famous Mexican American Pop Artwork Artist. 2019 Signed & Numbered Limited Edition of 200 Size 18x24 "Sky High" is a vibrant and compelling limited edition silkscreen print by Ernesto Yerena Montejano, an artist whose work sits at the intersection of Mexican-American identity and pop art. Yerena, under his studio name Hecho Con Ganas, produced this print in 2019, showcasing his distinctive style that marries the bold aesthetics of street art with the nuanced commentary of fine art. Limited to a run of just 200 signed and numbered pieces, each print measures 18x24 inches, a size that allows viewers to engage intimately with the work while still appreciating its bold graphic qualities. Ernesto Yerena Montejano has established himself as a prominent figure in pop and street art, bringing forth a unique perspective that reflects his bicultural experience. His artworks often feature strong cultural symbols juxtaposed with bright, contrasting colors, a hallmark of classic pop art. "Sky High" features an array of eagles soaring in formation, creating a symmetrical pattern around a central rose. This symbol could be interpreted as a nod to beauty and resilience. The background's concentric circles in bold hues enhance the sense of motion and energy emanating from the composition. Silkscreen printing aligns Yerena with techniques popularized by pop art icons such as Andy Warhol, yet his subject matter is decidedly rooted in his cultural heritage and contemporary social issues. The choice of fine art paper as a medium for "Sky High" further blurs the lines between street art's transient nature and the permanence sought in fine art collections. This piece captures the dynamic essence of street art while being crafted with the precision and durability of fine art practices. Collectors and admirers of "Sky High" are drawn to its powerful visual statement and the meticulous craftsmanship of the hand-pulled print. Yerena’s work is not merely a decorative piece but an emblem of cultural pride and political expression. These encapsulating themes resonate deeply within the Mexican-American community and among advocates of pop art's power to communicate beyond words. The limited availability of "Sky High" makes it not just a piece of art but a slice of cultural history, embodying the spirit of a community that continues to soar against challenges, much like the eagles depicted in its design.

Montejano's choice of materials—100% cotton rag paper with hand-deckled edges—complements the organic subject matter, grounding the piece in tradition and craftsmanship. • Modern Bouquet 3.0 Royalty Original Acrylic Sculpture by Jenna Morello

Jenna Morello Modern Bouquet 3.0 Royalty Original Acrylic Sculpture by Jenna Morello

Modern Bouquet 3.0- Royalty Original Mixed-Media Concrete Resin & Rose Flower Sculpture Artwork by graffiti street artist modern pop artist Jenna Morello. 2021 Original One-of-A-Kind Rose Sculpture Signed By Concrete Stamp. Real roses are forever preserved in resin cast in concrete. Measures 3x3x3. Each comes with a stamped seal of authenticity. Intersection of Modernity and Timelessness in Street Pop Art The "Modern Bouquet 3.0 - Royalty" by Jenna Morello is a quintessential representation of how street pop art and graffiti continuously push the boundaries of traditional art forms. This original mixed-media work is a testament to the enduring dialogue between the ephemeral nature of street art and the permanence of sculpture. By encapsulating a natural rose, forever preserved in resin and set within a concrete matrix, Morello creates a striking contrast between the fragility of organic life and the resilience of artificial materials. Her artwork measures 3x3x3 inches, a compact size that belies the depth of its conceptual foundation. For collectors and enthusiasts, "Modern Bouquet 3.0 - Royalty" represents an opportunity to engage with a piece of art that embodies the ethos of street pop art within a tangible form. Unlike ephemeral graffiti that may be painted over or fade with time, this sculpture offers a permanent artifact of the artist's expression. The compact size invites personal interaction, allowing for a closer inspection of the intricate details and the interplay of materials, much like the intimate experience of finding a hidden piece of street art in an urban alley. In modern art, Morello's sculpture is a beacon of the innovative potential inherent in street pop art and graffiti artwork. It embodies the genre's evolving nature, demonstrating that the street art ethos can transcend traditional canvas and wall spaces to create new forms of expression that challenge our perceptions of art and its role in society. Modern Bouquet 3.0 - Royalty Symbolism and Craftsmanship in Jenna Morello's Work Morello's work is a thoughtful meditation on the passage of time and the preservation of beauty. Using a natural rose suggests a snapshot of nature's transient beauty, while its encasement in resin hints at a desire to hold onto moments destined to fade. The concrete's stark, industrial texture opposes the delicate rose, creating a multifaceted symbol of the urban environment's intrusion into natural life. This piece, signed by a concrete stamp, further authenticates the artwork, anchoring it in the physical world, much like graffiti tags capture the artist's presence within the urban landscape. This artwork resonates within the street pop art and graffiti sphere by using common urban materials and presenting a familiar yet subverted object – the bouquet. Typically given to express affection, the rose is recontextualized here as a commentary on the artistic process, wherein street artists often leave beauty in unexpected places. Each sculpture with a stamped seal of authenticity mirrors the authenticity sought by street artists who leave their unique signatures on public spaces. Morello's piece captures the essence of street pop art's ability to find harmony in contradiction, melding the organic with the synthetic, the temporary with the enduring.

The artwork juxtaposes a giclée print on the left with a silkscreen on the right, each side bringing its distinct texture and visual impact. The giclée technique, known for its high-quality detail reproduction, allows for the photorealistic portrayal of the subject. At the same time, the silkscreen, a nod to the artist's street art roots, imparts bold color and graphic elements, creating a dynamic contrast within the same piece. This 12-color hand-pulled screen print on varnish is layered over 330gsm Somerset fine art paper, chosen for its ability to hold vibrant colors and intricate details, ensuring that each nuance of the artwork is captured with clarity. Cultural Relevance in Contemporary Art "Endian Redux PP" reflects the artist's exploration of identity and femininity, themes often revisited in his oeuvre. The subject of the print, a woman depicted with an evocative gaze and adorned with tattoo-like designs, speaks to the intersection of traditional beauty and modern aesthetics. The use of varnish not only adds a textural dimension to the artwork and plays with light and reflection, inviting viewers to engage with the piece from multiple perspectives. Artistic Influence of Fin DAC Fin DAC has solidified his reputation for creating pieces that transcend the conventional boundaries of street pop art and graffiti. His approach to screen printing, often characterized by a unique blend of stenciling and freehand techniques, results in works meticulously crafted and imbued with spontaneity. "Endian Redux PP," with its combination of giclée and silkscreen, exemplifies the artist's commitment to pushing the limits of these mediums, offering collectors a piece that is not just a print but a testament to the potential of screen printing as fine art. Significance of Printer's Proofs in Art Collections The designation of Printer's Proof indicates a rarity and exclusivity that collectors highly sought after. These proofs are typically the first prints pulled from the press and are used to check the quality of the print before the complete edition is produced. As such, they are often considered the most desirable by collectors due to their place in the printing process and their limited number. Fin DAC's choice to sign and mark these proofs further authenticates their status as limited edition artworks. "Endian Redux PP" by Fin DAC is a compelling embodiment of pop street artwork's capacity to incorporate traditional fine art techniques with the energy and rawness of street art and graffiti. The piece stands as a vibrant testament to the evolving narrative of pop art, echoing the genre's historical roots while propelling it into the future through innovative methods and thematic exploration. It encapsulates a moment in contemporary art where the lines between the various art forms are blurred and beautifully intertwined.

Dave Pollot Mixtape Archival Print by Dave Pollot

Mixtape Limited Edition Archival Pigment Fine Art Prints on Matte Velvet Rag Paper by Graffiti Street Art Pop Artist Dave Pollot. 2022 Signed & Numbered Limited Edition of 100 Artwork Size 19.82x24 Edition of 100 -Signed and numbered in pencil beneath in image -including 2" white margins -Printed on matte velvet rag paper Exploring Dave Pollot's Mixtape Archival Print Dave Pollot is an American artist known for innovatively integrating street art elements into classical and pop art themes. His work often involves reimagining thrift store paintings by introducing modern elements into the otherwise classical compositions, creating a whimsical and thought-provoking juxtaposition. In his limited edition piece titled "Mixtape," Pollot combines the aesthetic of street pop art with the delicate sensibilities of traditional still life, creating a visually striking artwork that resonates with a broad audience. This artwork, signed and numbered by Pollot himself, is part of a limited edition of 100 pieces, each printed on matte velvet rag paper, emphasizing its exclusivity and appeal to collectors. Characteristics and Medium "Mixtape" features a lush arrangement of flowers, a classical subject in art, contrasted sharply by including a modern cassette labeled "Awesome Mix." This blend of the old and the new is characteristic of Pollot's style, where he seamlessly merges elements from different eras to comment on the transient nature of art and cultural artifacts. The artwork is rendered on matte velvet rag paper, a choice that enhances the colors and gives the piece a soft, tactile quality that complements its visual depth. Matte paper also avoids the glare that glossy prints might exhibit, allowing for a more intimate and engaging viewing experience. The Significance of Street Pop Art and Graffiti Artwork in Modern Culture Street pop art and graffiti have evolved from their rebellious, underground origins to become recognized and celebrated contemporary art forms. Artists like Dave Pollot, who engage with these styles, often do so to make statements about society or to bring a new perspective to traditional art forms. In "Mixtape," the cassette tape – an object that symbolizes the recent past and evokes nostalgia – serves as a reminder of the rapid pace of technological and cultural change. Including this element in a traditional still life disrupts the expected visual narrative and invites the viewer to reflect on the evolution of music media and its impact on personal and collective memory. Like much of Pollot's work, this artwork appeals to a diverse audience. It reaches those who appreciate the technical skill required in traditional art forms and those who enjoy street art's edgy, contemporary feel. Additionally, the limited nature of the print run – only 100 pieces – along with the artist's signature, adds a layer of collectibility and value, making it a prized possession for both art lovers and investors. In the broader context, Pollot's "Mixtape" exemplifies how modern artists are blurring the lines between high art and popular culture. By bringing elements of street pop art into the gallery, these artists are challenging preconceived notions about what constitutes "fine art" and who art is for. This art democratization reflects a more significant cultural shift towards inclusivity and the recognition of diverse artistic expressions. Pollot's work celebrates this shift, showcasing how traditional and modern visual elements can coexist harmoniously and create new meanings. Dave Pollot's "Mixtape" is more than just a visually appealing piece; it is a thoughtful commentary on the intersection of past and present, popular culture's temporary nature, and art's evolving boundaries. Through this work, Pollot captures the essence of street pop art and graffiti artwork and elevates it, offering a sophisticated yet accessible piece that resonates with a contemporary audience.

You Don't Bring Me Flowers Anymore Frankenstein Silkscreen Print by Epyon5 Hand-Pulled on Fine Art Paper Limited Edition Screenprint Artwork. 2016 Signed & Numbered Limited Edition of 58 Artwork Size 16x24 Silkscreen Print Metallic Ink You Don't Bring Me Flowers Anymore Frankenstein Silkscreen Print by Epyon5 You Don't Bring Me Flowers Anymore is a 2016 limited edition silkscreen print by Epyon5, a contemporary artist known for blending horror icons with the bold aesthetics of Street Pop Art & Graffiti Artwork. This hand-pulled screenprint, measuring 16x24 inches, was produced in a signed and numbered edition of 58. Featuring a striking portrayal of Frankenstein’s monster, the print incorporates a regal yet haunting composition, layered textures, and metallic ink to create an unforgettable piece. The mix of gothic and street-inspired elements makes this artwork a perfect example of how classic film imagery continues to thrive in modern urban art. Symbolism and Visual Aesthetics This piece presents Frankenstein’s monster in a powerful yet melancholic pose, bathed in deep blue tones that contrast against the warm reds and metallic golds in the background. His solemn expression, with closed eyes and a sense of resignation, evokes themes of loneliness and misunderstood existence. The circular framing around his head mimics religious iconography, elevating him to an almost saint-like status, a figure condemned yet revered. The title You Don’t Bring Me Flowers Anymore reinforces this theme of abandonment and sorrow, referencing both classic horror’s tragic undertones and the monster’s perpetual search for connection. Beneath his portrait, an anatomical heart is encased in a heraldic crest, surrounded by floral motifs, suggesting that beneath his terrifying exterior lies a being capable of emotion and longing. The roses at the bottom corners add to this mournful symbolism, representing love lost, decay, and the fragility of life itself. Street Pop Art & Graffiti Artwork Influence Epyon5’s work is rooted in Street Pop Art & Graffiti Artwork, and this print reflects his signature fusion of traditional horror imagery with urban aesthetics. The layered textures, distressed backgrounds, and stencil-like application of color mirror the visual language of street murals and wheatpaste posters. The use of halftone shading and bold contrast gives the piece a hand-painted, weathered look, reminiscent of posters found peeling on city walls. The incorporation of metallic ink enhances the urban pop influence, adding depth and dimension while reinforcing the idea of Frankenstein’s monster as a mythic figure in both film and art history. The structured symmetry and sharp-edged filigree details give the composition an almost propaganda-like feel, reflecting the influence of vintage political posters, yet repurposed in a way that speaks to contemporary street culture. Collectibility and Cultural Impact As a signed and numbered edition of 58, this silkscreen print is a highly sought-after piece among collectors of Street Pop Art & Graffiti Artwork and fans of classic horror cinema. The handcrafted nature of the silkscreen process ensures that each print carries slight variations, adding to its uniqueness and authenticity. Frankenstein’s monster has remained a recurring figure in pop culture, symbolizing themes of alienation, the dangers of scientific ambition, and the search for belonging. Epyon5’s interpretation captures these ideas through the visual vocabulary of street art, transforming a cinematic legend into a statement piece that resonates beyond the horror genre. The continued fusion of classic film iconography with urban-inspired printmaking reinforces the enduring power of Frankenstein’s monster as a cultural figure, proving that even in modern art, he remains both feared and mourned.

The Fool Limited Edition Archival Pigment Print on 310gsm Fine Art Paper by Beau Stanton Graffiti Street Artist Modern Pop Art. "The Fool was the central piece from my Arcane Archetypes exhibition where all the paintings were based on images from the Major Arcana of the Tarot. My first intention with this body of work was to create a series of images that instill a lasting imprint into the viewer’s subconscious. As an initial point of departure I started to research one of the most recognizable and iconic sets of images, the Major Arcana of the Tarot. After studying several existing decks, I discovered that some of the images shared common ground visually and conceptually with several paintings I had created in the past. When I first thought about making a series of paintings based on images from the Tarot, I knew that I would have to include the Fool since it is the “zero” card and an extremely important archetype in the set. I started by researching all of the iconic tarot decks to see the ways the symbols had been interpreted in the past along with reading a few books by 19th Century occultists who were really into tarot. From there I applied some of my own symbols that I often use in my work that had common ground with the overall significance of The Fool to concoct a fresh take on an ancient iconic symbol." - Beau Stanton

In 2000 he adopted the moniker ‘DENIAL’ as a means of poking fun at advertising, politics, and media messages that contemporary society is often ‘in denial about. Since then he has maintained an ongoing global street-campaign of over 500, 000 stickers, placards, and murals, using the alpha-numeric characters ‘D3N!@L’. Intended as a conceptual means of marketing absurdism, DENIAL also challenges traditional notions of graffiti and public art through his bold and often satirical visual subversions. Denial has evolved as one the most prominent figures of contemporary pop artists, who nonetheless, continue to stay relevant and is interested in generating thought-provoking commentary. He has a long history of exploring the boundaries of appropriation, which he uses as a means of subverting the value of cultural products, imprinted in the collective memory of the Western civilization. His work, in other words, is inviting the viewer to re-imagine our dystopian society as a way of confronting it, with humor and irony as the biggest tools of the artist.

Rose Flower

Emblematic Roses in Street and Pop Art

Roses have a long-standing place in the annals of art history, symbolizing a myriad of themes from love and beauty to pain and politics. In street pop art and graffiti, roses blossom as a potent symbol. Street artists and pop artists appropriate the rose's iconic imagery, infusing it with contemporary meaning and using its visual appeal to engage a broader audience.

Subversion and Reclamation

Within street art, roses often appear in unexpected places, subverting their traditional associations with romance and delicacy. Graffiti artists have been known to paint roses on dilapidated urban surfaces, reclaiming the beauty of neglected spaces and prompting viewers to find beauty in the unconventional. The contrast between the rose's natural elegance and the rough urban canvas underscores a dialogue about the juxtaposition of nature and urban decay.

Roses in Pop Art

Pop art has seen artists like Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein incorporate roses into their works, using bold colors and graphic lines to transform the flower into a symbol of mass culture and consumerism. These roses are stripped of their softness and reimagined as emblems of the manufactured and the commodified, reflecting pop art's critique of contemporary society.

Modern Interpretations and Cultural Commentary

Modern street pop artists continue to explore the rose in their work, often imbuing it with cultural commentary. Roses may be depicted alongside popular culture icons or used to make statements about social and political issues, harnessing the flower's universal symbolism to convey more profound messages.

Techniques and Mediums

The depiction of roses in street pop art and graffiti employs various techniques and mediums. From stencil art to freehand spray paint and even digital projections, the rose adapts to the diverse methods of the street art genre. These techniques allow artists to render the rose in ways that can be either hyper-realistic or highly stylized, depending on the intended effect and the artist's style.

The Rose's Future in Art

As street pop art and graffiti flourish, the rose's place within these movements is assured. It remains a versatile symbol that can convey a spectrum of messages and emotions, from the personal to the political. As artists evolve and new voices emerge, the rose will likely continue to unfurl new meanings and interpretations.
