Shepard Fairey- OBEY Warning: Addictive- Orange Silkscreen Skateboard by Shepard Fairey- OBEY

Warning: Addictive- Orange Limited Edition Silkscreen Skateboard deck art by street pop culture artist Shepard Fairey OBEY. Signed on Front With Marker. Warning Addictive Skate Deck. Numbered edition of 400. Signed by Shepard Fairey. I've been a big fan of Andy Howell's art and skateboarding since the late '80s, and I watched eagerly as he and his partners launched New Deal Skateboards in 1990. New Deal was groundbreaking not only because skaters creatively led it, but because Andy Howell's art and design almost instantly shifted the aesthetics and style of skateboarding from skulls and dragons to graffiti and hip-hop. New Deal was the first company primarily focused on street skating and street culture, and their smart, funny, ads celebrated their role as the "power to the people," "ear to the street" vanguard of skater-owned-and-run companies. Straight out of the gate New Deal set the tone for the '90s. -Shepard

  • Supreme KAWS Chalk Logo Deck- Black Skateboard by Kaws- Brian Donnelly

Kaws- Brian Donnelly Supreme KAWS Chalk Logo Deck- Black Skateboard by Kaws- Brian Donnelly

Supreme KAWS Chalk Logo Deck- Black Limited Edition Skateboard deck art by Designer Brand Supreme. SS21 2021- The Supreme KAWS Chalk Logo Skateboard Deck Red showcases the classic KAWS box logo, as seen in his prior collaboration with Supreme. The logo spans the entire deck width and was released on February 18th, 2021, Supreme's Spring/Summer 2021 season. Supreme KAWS Chalk Logo Deck in Street Pop Art The intersection of streetwear and art has been a defining characteristic of modern Street Pop Art and Graffiti Artwork, and the "Supreme KAWS Chalk Logo Deck- Black Limited Edition Skateboard Deck Art" stands as a significant marker within this cultural fusion. This piece represents a collaboration between Supreme, the iconic designer brand known for its substantial influence on streetwear, and KAWS, an artist whose work has bridged the worlds of art and commercial design. The skateboard deck features the classic KAWS box logo, symbolizing the cultural zeitgeist, merging art with utility. The logo's design on this deck spans its entire width, a bold statement that speaks to the expansive nature of street art. Released on February 18th, 2021, as part of Supreme's Spring/Summer 2021 collection, this piece was not only a skateboard deck but also a canvas for artistic expression. Artistic Collaboration and Cultural Impact This collaboration between KAWS and Supreme underscores the reciprocal relationship between streetwear and street art. Once a staple of urban youth culture, the skateboard has been transformed into a piece of collectible art that carries the weight of both brands' legacies. The KAWS Chalk Logo Deck intertwines the artistic with the practical, becoming a touchstone for discussions about the nature and value of contemporary art within the commercial sphere. The release of this deck during the SS21 season signifies a moment when both the art world and the fashion industry were looking towards a post-pandemic reality, seeking to make bold statements through their offerings. The choice of the chalk logo, reminiscent of graffiti's temporary nature, suggests a commentary on the ephemeral quality of street art and fashion trends. Yet, by rendering this in a durable medium such as a skateboard deck, the piece also speaks to the lasting impact of these cultural expressions. Skateboard Decks as Artistic Mediums in Street Pop Art Skateboard decks have emerged as a favored medium in Street Pop Art, offering artists a unique surface intrinsically linked to youth culture, rebellion, and urban living. The Supreme KAWS Chalk Logo Deck exemplifies how these everyday objects can be elevated to the status of art, transforming the pedestrian into the prestigious. The limited edition nature of this deck adds to its allure, creating a sense of scarcity that is often leveraged in the art world to generate demand and interest. Using black as the backdrop for the chalk logo creates a stark contrast, ensuring that the iconic KAWS design is the focal point. This visual strategy is characteristic of KAWS's approach, where simplicity in color underscores the complexity of his figures and motifs. The collaboration is not merely merging of two brands but a coalescence of their respective philosophies and aesthetic languages, resulting in a functional and statement-piece product. The Supreme KAWS Chalk Logo Skateboard Deck is a testament to the dynamism of street pop art. It encapsulates a moment in which the lines between art and commerce, public and private spaces, high culture and subculture are blurred and wholly intertwined. It serves as a reminder that art can be found in the most unexpected places and that the streets remain a vital source of inspiration for contemporary art movements.

  • Cruiser Red Skateboard Art Deck by Gats- Graffiti Against The System

Gats- Graffiti Against The System Cruiser Red Skateboard Art Deck by Gats- Graffiti Against The System

Cruiser- Red Fine Art Limited Edition Screen Print on Wood Skateboard Deck by Street Artwork Graffiti Artist Gats- Graffiti Against The System. 2018 Rare Edition of 25 Skateboard Deck. SpokeArt produced cruiser by GATS PTV for ComplexCon 2018 Red Edition of 25 Screen Printed Skate Deck Size: 9" x 32" from Oakland, CA. The Artistic Revolution on Wheels: "Cruiser - Red" by GATS The "Cruiser - -Red" skateboard deck, a limited edition piece by the street artist GATS, is a symbolic piece that showcases the fusion of street pop art & graffiti artwork with the cultural phenomenon of skateboarding. Produced by SpokeArt for ComplexCon in 2018, this rare collectible is one of only 25 pieces, making it an exclusive acquisition for art collectors and skate enthusiasts. This unique screen print on wood measures 9 inches by 32 inches and originates from Oakland, CA, a city known for its rich street art scene. GATS, an acronym for Graffiti Against The System, is an artist whose identity remains as enigmatic as the masked figures that populate his works. His art is a social commentary, often touching upon anonymity, freedom, and resistance against societal structures. The "Cruiser - Red" deck features a striking red background that amplifies the intricate black and white illustration, a hallmark of GATS' distinctive style. The central motif – a pair of eyes within a mask – is a recurring element in GATS' work, symbolizing the gaze of the disenfranchised and the overlooked. The screen print on wood infuses the skateboard deck with a dual nature: a functional object meant to traverse the urban landscape and a portable canvas that carries the weight of a message. This duality encapsulates the essence of street art – its mobility, accessibility, and ability to engage with the public in a dialogue about the space it occupies. Collectible Artistry: GATS' "Cruiser - Red" in the Pantheon of Pop Art In the pantheon of contemporary art, "Cruiser-Red" by GATS occupies a unique position. The limited edition nature of the piece – with only 25 in existence – elevates it from a mere object to a sought-after piece of collectible art. Each skateboard deck is a testament to the artist's commitment to creating art that is not only visually compelling but also scarce and special. A deep understanding of graffiti's cultural and political undertones characterizes GATS's artistry. His work on the "Cruiser - Red" deck celebrates the defiant spirit of street art and its ability to communicate complex messages through simple yet powerful imagery. The deck serves not just as a piece of art to be hung on a wall but as a statement piece that challenges the conventions of what constitutes fine art. GATS' choice of medium – a skateboard deck – is a nod to the subversive culture of skateboarding, which, much like street art, has its roots in the fringes of society, embodying a sense of rebellion and nonconformity. The "Cruiser-Red" is thus more than an object; it's a cultural artifact that captures the spirit of its time and the ethos of its creator. Street Pop Art & Graffiti Artwork: The Movement and the Medium Street pop art & graffiti artwork is a movement that blurs the lines between illicit street graffiti and the curated spaces of galleries. Artists like GATS bridge this divide by creating works capable of existing in both realms. The "Cruiser-Red" is a prime example of this crossover, a piece that carries the raw edge of street graffiti into the world of fine art collecting. The artwork speaks to a broader audience, drawing in those who might not traditionally engage with graffiti and inviting them to appreciate the nuances of this vibrant art form. The limited edition "Cruiser-Red" is more than a mere expression; it is a physical embodiment of the artist's message, a medium through which GATS communicates his worldview. In owning a piece like the "Cruiser-Red," collectors hold a snapshot of the artist's narrative, a piece of the conversation that GATS is having with the world through his art. It is an ever-evolving narrative, much like the streets from which it was born and the culture it represents. In the realm of street pop art & graffiti artwork, GATS' "Cruiser - -Red" is a landmark creation. It encapsulates the essence of street art – its vibrancy, immediacy, and ability to convey profound messages in the most unexpected places. Through works like the "Cruiser-Red," the conversation about what art can be and where it can exist continues, as does the legacy of artists who dare to make their marks on the world.

Louis Vuitton Designer Drugs PP Printers Proof Skateboard Art Deck by Denial- Daniel Bombardier Limited Edition Archival Print on Wood Skateboard Deck by Street Artwork Graffiti Artist. PP Printers Proof 2018 Marked PP Limited Edition Signed COA Skateboard Artwork Size 8x31 Skateboard Art Deck With Famous Louis Vuitton Logo With Stylized Pill Elements. The Louis Vuitton Designer Drugs PP Printers Proof Skateboard Art Deck stands as an iconic piece that reflects the dynamic interplay between luxury branding and the audacious spirit of street art. This masterpiece, conceptualized and brought to life by Denial, the artistic pseudonym for Canadian visionary Daniel Bombardier, offers a deep dive into the contemporary societal landscape, making it a focal point of discussion in both the pop art and street art communities. This 2018 creation is distinguished not only by its artistic flair but also by its exclusivity, being a part of a limited edition set of just 50, bearing the 'PP Printers Proof' insignia. Such proofs are preliminary versions of a final artwork, hinting at the artist's journey to the final rendition and ensuring the highest quality of the final output. Each piece from this collection is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity, signed by Denial, cementing its authenticity and value. With dimensions of 8x31, this skateboard deck serves as more than just a canvas—it's an emblem of the raw and unapologetic energy of street culture. The artwork predominantly features the globally recognized Louis Vuitton logo, but Denial's interpretation adds a twist. The iconic logo is intertwined with stylized pill elements, providing a critique on society's infatuation with luxury and the lengths some might go to achieve a state of transient opulence. The pill, a symbol of transient relief, perhaps suggests the ephemeral nature of materialistic luxury. An intersection of fashion, art, and social commentary, the Louis Vuitton Designer Drugs Skateboard Art Deck by Denial is not just a visual spectacle. It beckons viewers to question, reflect, and engage in a dialogue about the modern world's values and obsessions.

The collaboration, dubbed the Takashi Murakami x ComplexCon Mutated Skateboard Deck Set, is a trifecta of visual ecstasy, encompassing the artist's signature motifs – his whimsical bear character, the vibrant flowers, and the mythical mushrooms, all rendered in a kaleidoscope of colors that dance across the decks with a life of their own. These limited edition skateboard decks are not merely functional items but stand as a testament to Murakami's artistic vision, where street pop art and contemporary graffiti converge. Each deck is a canvas that encapsulates Murakami's distinctive synthesis of traditional Japanese techniques with post-war Japanese culture and modern anime and manga influences. The result is a striking visual narrative that is both familiar and fantastical, a vibrant pastiche of past and present, East and West, art and commerce. Released on November 2nd, 2019, as a limited edition set, these decks were produced using an archival pigment print transfer process that ensures the longevity of the colors and the intricate details of Murakami's designs. The precision of this technique highlights the artist's commitment to quality and his understanding of the skateboard's dual identity as a tool for sport and a piece of collectible art. Murakami's artistry is evident in the joyous yet complex expressions of the characters adorning the decks. The mutated bear, a recurring character in his works, is depicted with a vitality that belies the meticulousness of the art form. The flowers and mushrooms, bursting with colors, serve as a symbolic lexicon through which Murakami explores themes of life and identity. Each element is meticulously placed, creating an energetic dialogue between the characters and the viewer. These skateboard decks are emblematic of ComplexCon's mission to be a catalyst for creative collaboration and innovation. They embody the event's spirit, where art is not confined to galleries but is a part of the everyday streetscape. • Supreme KAWS Chalk Logo Deck- Red Skateboard by Kaws- Brian Donnelly

Kaws- Brian Donnelly Supreme KAWS Chalk Logo Deck- Red Skateboard by Kaws- Brian Donnelly

Supreme KAWS Chalk Logo Deck- Red Limited Edition Skateboard deck art by Designer Brand Supreme. Intersecting Worlds: The Supreme KAWS Chalk Logo Deck in Red The Supreme KAWS Chalk Logo Deck in red is a vivid emblem of the ongoing dialogue between street culture and high art. As a limited edition piece, it epitomizes the essence of street pop art and graffiti artwork, both of which are movements that challenge conventional notions of where art can be found and who it is for. Released as part of Supreme's Spring/Summer 2021 collection on February 18th, 2021, this skateboard deck is a physical manifestation of the collaboration between the influential designer brand Supreme and the artist KAWS, known for his impact on the global art scene, particularly within the domains of pop art and graffiti. The bold red deck, decorated with the classic KAWS box logo that extends across its width, is immediately striking. This design choice is significant; the logo does not just adorn the deck—it redefines it, turning a piece of skateboarding equipment into a statement of artistic intent. The color red is often associated with passion, energy, and action—qualities inherently tied to the culture of skateboarding and the urgency often conveyed through street art. Symbolism in Street Pop Art: The Supreme KAWS Collaboration The collaboration between Supreme and KAWS for the chalk logo deck series is more than a merging of streetwear and art; it is a cultural event highlighting the power of iconic imagery in the contemporary landscape. The KAWS box logo, with its crossed-out eyes and hands, has become a symbol of a provocative look at popular culture, and its large-scale representation on the skateboard deck is a nod to the artist's roots in graffiti. Graffiti, with its historical ties to reclaiming public space and providing social commentary, is an apt medium for KAWS's often-critical eye on consumerism and commercialism. With its hand-drawn, chalk-like effect of the logo, this skateboard deck also brings to mind the temporary and often illicit nature of street art. It juxtaposes the impermanence of chalk on the sidewalk with the enduring nature of the deck as a collectible piece of art. The tactile quality of the logo's design invites touch and use, aligning with street pop art's ethos of art being an interactive and integral part of everyday life. The Supreme KAWS Chalk Logo Deck in red, embodying the visual language of street pop art and the cultural cachet of Supreme, becomes a kind of totem for the interplay between street and luxury, between the rebel and the establishment. It is a testament to the fact that street pop art and graffiti artwork are not just forms of visual expression but are also reflective of cultural movements and shifts in society's relationship with art and commerce. In the skateboard decks released by Supreme and KAWS, each color variant tells a different story, carries extra energy, and holds a unique place in the landscape of street pop art. The red deck, perhaps the most visually arresting of the series, captures the attention for its aesthetic and the conversation it represents about value, accessibility, and the ever-evolving definition of what art can be.

Warning: Addictive- Blue Limited Edition Silkscreen Skateboard deck art by street pop culture artist Shepard Fairey OBEY. -Shepard

Happy Endings Skateboard Art Deck: A Bold Fusion of Street Pop Art and Graffiti Culture The Happy Endings Skateboard Art Deck by OG Slick, created in collaboration with The Beautiful Losers, is a striking example of Street Pop Art and Graffiti Artwork. Released in 2024 as a limited edition of 99, this 8x31-inch skateboard deck transforms a functional object into a bold statement of urban art. Featuring OG Slick’s iconic Smiley Face motif, disrupted by a red spray-painted line across the eyes, the design evokes a thought-provoking blend of playfulness and rebellion. The incorporation of a gloved hand holding a spray paint can adds depth and narrative, making this piece as much about the act of creation as the final result. OG Slick and the Subversive Vision of Happy Endings OG Slick, a renowned artist with roots in graffiti culture, has built a career on merging pop culture symbols with the raw energy of street art. The Happy Endings Skateboard Art Deck embodies his signature aesthetic, using the universally recognized Smiley Face as a canvas for a commentary on perception and identity. The addition of the red spray-painted line across the face disrupts the familiar image, inviting viewers to reconsider their interpretations of happiness and conformity. By partnering with The Beautiful Losers, a collective known for celebrating the intersection of street culture and fine art, this collaboration elevates the piece to a broader cultural conversation. Design and Symbolism of the Skateboard Deck The minimal yet impactful design of the Happy Endings Skateboard Art Deck is a testament to OG Slick’s ability to convey powerful messages through simplicity. The bright yellow background serves as a stark contrast to the bold black and red elements, drawing immediate attention to the central Smiley Face. The red line, sprayed across the eyes, symbolizes censorship, disruption, or the act of redefining societal norms. The gloved hand at the bottom holding a spray paint can captures the essence of graffiti culture, emphasizing the artist’s role in reshaping familiar images. The skateboard’s shape and size provide a unique medium that blends the functionality of sports equipment with the storytelling potential of art. Functional Art for Collectors and Enthusiasts The Happy Endings Skateboard Art Deck is more than just a piece of sports equipment; it is a collectible artwork that embodies the rebellious spirit of Street Pop Art and Graffiti Artwork. Crafted from high-quality wood and printed with precision, the deck is designed to be both durable for use and visually striking for display. With only 99 pieces in this signed and numbered edition, the deck holds significant value for art collectors and street art enthusiasts alike. This collaboration between OG Slick and The Beautiful Losers transforms a simple object into a cultural artifact, highlighting the evolving role of street art in contemporary creative expression.

Skateboard Art Decks and Their Cultural Significance

Skateboard art decks have become a dynamic fusion of functionality and self-expression, serving as moving canvases that blend street art's rebellious spirit with pop art's aesthetic innovation. These decks, once mere wooden planks, have evolved into objects of cultural significance, reflecting the individuality of riders and the artistic pulse of the communities they glide through. Historically, the artistry on skateboard decks began as simple logos and brand names, but it quickly grew into a subculture of its own. As skateboarding's popularity surged in the late 20th century, so did the complexity and creativity of deck designs. Artists saw these decks as an opportunity to broadcast their work to a broader audience, often incorporating elements from graffiti, pop culture, and contemporary graphic design. The streets, the natural habitat of skateboarders, have long been the galleries for graffiti artists. It was inevitable that the two would collide, resulting in skateboard decks adorned with artwork that echoes the visual language of the streets. This synergy has catapulted skateboard decks into Street Pop Art and graffiti Artwork, with each deck reflecting a story, a statement, or a manifesto.

Skateboard Art Decks Collaborations and Limited Editions

Collaborations between skate companies and illustrious artists, designers, and cultural icons have enriched the world of skateboard deck art. These partnerships have produced limited edition decks that are as much a collector's item as street-worthy gear. The limited availability and unique designs contribute to their allure, turning them into coveted pieces for art collectors and skateboarding enthusiasts alike. For many, the skateboard deck is a means of personal expression. Skaters choose or design decks that resonate with their identity, beliefs, and aesthetic preferences. The art on these decks ranges from abstract compositions to hyper-realistic graphics, from politically charged messages to whimsical illustrations, showcasing the diverse interests and creativity of the skateboarding community. The process of creating skateboard art is as varied as the imagery itself. From hand painting to digital printing, from screen printing to airbrushing, artists employ many techniques to bring their visions to life on curved wooden surfaces. Advances in materials and printing technology have further expanded the possibilities, allowing for high-resolution imagery and intricate designs that withstand the wear and tear of skateboarding.

Cultural Impact and Mainstream Acceptance

Skateboard deck art has not only elevated the cultural status of skateboarding but also brought it into mainstream consciousness. Art exhibitions in galleries and online have started to feature skateboard decks, recognizing them as legitimate canvases for contemporary art. This has opened up new avenues for artists to explore and provided a platform for the skateboarding culture to be celebrated and understood. As skateboarding culture continues to evolve, so will the artistry of skateboard decks. The future promises a continuation of this rich tapestry of visual storytelling, with emerging artists and technologies bringing new dimensions to this vibrant art form. The skateboard deck, once a humble piece of sports equipment, has firmly established itself as a mobile, dynamic medium for Street Pop Art and graffiti Artwork, continuing to push boundaries and challenge conventions. In conclusion, skateboard art decks are a testament to the creativity and innovation that flourish at the intersection of street culture and visual art. They encapsulate the essence of street pop art and graffiti, transforming everyday objects into extraordinary pieces of art that travel the streets, skate parks, and galleries, carrying with them the indomitable spirit of skateboarding and street art.
