Skewville

Skewville is a street artist duo formed by twin brothers Ad and Droo Deville, who were born in 1973 in Queens, New York. They are best known for their wooden sneakers, which they've been creating since 1999. These sneakers, often hung from power lines, have become a symbol of their work and a recognizable element in the world of street art. Skewville's work also includes murals, installations, and sculptures, which often carry a satirical tone and comment on urban life, consumerism, and pop culture. Skewville's influence can be seen in various cities around the world, as they have participated in street art festivals, gallery shows, and other art events. Their work has been exhibited in several cities in the United States, as well as in Europe and other parts of the world. As street artists, Skewville is known for their innovative approach, which combines various elements and techniques to create thought-provoking and entertaining art. Apart from their iconic wooden sneakers, the duo often employs stencils, spray paint, wheatpaste posters, and other mixed media to create a distinctive visual language.
