AVEM - Sprayed Paint Art Collection

AVEM, or Arte Vetraria Muranese, is a famous glass-making company located on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. The company was founded in 1932 by Antonio Venerio, Egidio Costantini, and Mario Barovier, all of whom were highly skilled glassmakers. The company is known for its high-quality, innovative glass products, and is considered one of the most important glassmakers in the world. AVEM has produced many different types of glass products over the years, including vases, bowls, sculptures, and other decorative items. One of the company's specialties is its use of murrine, a type of glass that is made by layering different colors of glass together and then pulling them into long, thin rods. These rods can then be cut into slices, which are used to create intricate patterns and designs. AVEM has worked with many famous glass artists over the years, including Archimede Seguso and Dino Martens. These artists helped to establish AVEM's reputation for excellence in the glassmaking industry. One of the most famous AVEM glass artists is Alfredo Barbini, who worked for the company from 1946 to 1950. Barbini is known for his innovative use of color and texture in his glasswork, and his pieces are highly sought after by collectors. AVEM's glass products can be found in museums and galleries around the world, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, and the Murano Glass Museum in Venice. The company's legacy continues to this day, as it continues to produce high-quality, innovative glass products that are admired and collected by people all over the world.
