Turk Street AP 01 Original Painting Spray Paint Aerosol on Coventry Rag Fine Art Paper by Apexer Graffiti Street Artist Modern Pop Art. "When I paint on the street I like to have fun. I'm always trying new ideas out that turn into more ideas. In this painting, I wanted to have two drastically different fill-in styles. So the top half is a classic fill of mine and in the bottom half, I play with the idea of different color chrome effects. It was a fun piece to paint in the heart of San Francisco. This piece is all part of my artistic vocabulary. This particular one says apex and I was painting in the super burner style, but I was really trying to push the ideas of color and style." - Apexer

Acrylic, Silkscreen Ink and Spraypaint Coventry Rag 320gsm Signed, Stamped and Embossed
"The title of this image comes from a line in the poem, "Painted Landscapes Deceive Me -- Dancing Between Angels and Angles". This was a reference to Marie Antoinette arriving in Strasbourg when she first became queen and the faux painted landscapes placed outside her window, created to make her feel welcome. A further reference to De Stijl and Aubette Dance Hall with the angled and rectilinear lines the movement was known for. Along with its proximity to the Cathedral and the angels that grace its walls. Bubbles sort of fly loosely and dance through space, somewhat the antithesis of what De Stijl conveyed but a nice reference to movement. We liked the idea of the girl tearing away the perceptions built up around her while trying not to lose herself." -Faile Artistic Narratives in Motion: The Tale of "Dancing Between Angels/Love Stories B-Side" by Faile "Dancing Between Angels/Love Stories B-Side," a compelling artwork by the artist collective Faile, is a testament to the intricate layering and storytelling inherent in street pop art & graffiti artwork. This limited edition piece, a hand-painted varied edition of 22, is a 24-color hand-pulled silkscreen print embellished with acrylic, silkscreen ink, and spray paint on deckled 310 gsm Coventry Rag paper. Spanning 28 x 40 inches, each print is signed, stamped, and embossed and carries a unique narrative that intertwines historical references with a modern artistic lexicon. "The title of this image comes from a line in the poem, "Painted Landscapes Deceive Me -- Dancing Between Angels and Angles." This was a reference to Marie Antoinette arriving in Strasbourg when she first became queen and the faux painted landscapes placed outside her window, created to make her feel welcome. A further reference to De Stijl and Aubette Dance Hall with the angled and rectilinear lines the movement was known for. Its proximity to the Cathedral and the angels grace its walls. Bubbles fly loosely and dance through space, somewhat the antithesis of what De Stijl conveyed but a nice reference to movement. We liked the idea of the girl tearing away the perceptions built up around her while trying not to lose herself." -Faile. Deconstructing Historical Illusions: Faile's Interpretive Canvas The narrative behind "Dancing Between Angels/Love Stories B-Side" draws from a rich tapestry of historical and artistic references. Inspired by a poem, the title alludes to the deceptive pastoral landscapes presented to Marie Antoinette upon her arrival in Strasbourg, designed to create an illusion of welcome and grandeur. Faile extends this metaphor to explore the concepts of perception and self within the framework of pop and street art. The work visually explores tearing away layers of pretense, a spirited dance between reality and artifice. The piece also pays homage to De Stijl, a Dutch artistic movement emphasizing abstraction and geometric forms. The sharp angles and rectilinear lines characteristic of De Stijl are present in the artwork, juxtaposed with the organic forms of bubbles and the fluidity of the central figure. This contrast is a deliberate nod to movement and dynamism, challenging the rigidity of De Stijl with the fleeting dance of bubbles through space. Movement and Metaphor: Faile's Fusion of Dance and Art At the heart of Faile's creation is the depiction of a female figure caught tearing through the facades surrounding her. This act is literal and symbolic, a dance of liberation that reveals the layers beneath the surface. The figure's upward reach and poised legs evoke a sense of balletic grace, suggesting that tearing away deception is as elegant as forceful. The angels and architectural elements referenced in the artwork serve to anchor the piece within a broader historical narrative, connecting the transient nature of street art with the permanence of cultural heritage. Including these elements creates a dialogue between the past and the present, infusing the work with a sense of timelessness. Visual Poetry: The Rhythmic Allure of Faile's Work "Dancing Between Angels/Love Stories B-Side" is, in essence, a visual poem that speaks to the heart of street pop art & graffiti artwork. It is a dance of colors and forms, a rhythmic composition that transcends the confines of its medium. Faile's work captures the spirit of pop art's dialogue with popular culture, blending it with the subversive edge of street art to create something wholly new and deeply resonant. Each print of this limited edition is a narrative fragment, inviting viewers to engage with the artwork on multiple levels. The dance depicted in the print is not just physical; it is an emotional and psychological journey, a dance of the soul that mirrors the complexity and vibrancy of the human experience. In the diverse world of street pop art & graffiti artwork, "Dancing Between Angels/Love Stories B-Side" by Faile is a powerful expression of the genre's capacity for storytelling and emotional depth. It stands as a reminder that art can be a vehicle for examining our perceptions, tearing away the layers that obscure truth, and celebrating the liberating power of dance and movement.

Technique, Texture, and Visual Energy The print utilizes traditional silkscreen methods to apply multiple layers of color, texture, and graphic components, each with high opacity and crisp detail. The 320gsm Coventry Rag paper provides both durability and an absorbent surface, ideal for capturing the complex interplay of hand-drawn elements, graffiti marks, and portrait stenciling. The hand deckled edges of the paper add an organic frame that enhances the street-born energy of the composition. Indie184’s print technique mirrors her large-scale mural work, translating the expressive power of wall art into a fine art format without compromising intensity. The result is a piece that is equally at home in a gallery or in a collector’s urban-inspired interior. Indie184’s Fusion of Street Grit and Pop Glamour Full Force represents Indie184’s approach to cultural fusion—where graffiti tagging meets high fashion, classic film icons meet spray paint aesthetics, and feminine elegance meets the raw voice of the streets. Her use of bold colors and layered design speaks to the spirit of the city, while her incorporation of figures, text, and symbols reflect themes of identity, transformation, and visibility. The work is not just decorative; it is declarative. It states that graffiti can be glamorous, that pop can be political, and that femininity can be fierce. In the broader world of Street Pop Art & Graffiti Artwork, Full Force exemplifies the power of visual expression to challenge, celebrate, and shift culture. Indie184 continues to expand her influence across continents while staying true to her roots—bold, unapologetic, and always in full force.

The 'Mobius White PP' is no exception, presenting the viewer with a mesmerizing tableau of cephalopods entangled in an infinite loop. The use of the Mobius strip, a one-sided nonorientable surface, adds a layer of complexity, suggesting infinity, continuity, and the cyclical nature of existence. The choice of octopuses as the focal point is rich with symbolism. These creatures are often associated with mystery and flexibility, characteristics that resonate with street pop art's fluid and dynamic nature. Incorporating vibrant pink and blue hues against the stark white paper creates a visual pop, emphasizing the fluidity and movement within the static image. Artistic Process and Technique Lauren YS's approach to this print, utilizing the screen printing technique, indicates a hands-on process that is both artisanal and precise. The screen printing technique, particularly revered in street and pop art for its ability to produce vivid, textured layers of color, lends this work a tactile quality that belies its two-dimensional medium. Each color in the 'Mobius White PP' is applied one at a time, requiring exact alignment to achieve the final image's detail and depth. The choice of Coventry Rag paper underscores the artist's commitment to quality and longevity. This particular type of paper is favored by fine artists for its durability and ability to hold color without degradation, making it an ideal choice for a print intended to stand the test of time. Lauren YS's Place in Contemporary Art In the contemporary art scene, Lauren YS has carved out a space that transcends easy categorization, melding influences from comic books, muralism, and traditional Japanese and Chinese aesthetics. The 'Mobius White PP' exemplifies their ability to navigate and merge these diverse visual languages into a cohesive whole that speaks to a global audience. As a limited edition Printer's Proof, 'Mobius White PP' holds a special place in Lauren YS's works collection. The printers typically retain printer's Proofs as a reference and are often seen as a more intimate version of a print edition, carrying the marks of the printing process itself. The PP designation on this print signifies its status not only as part of a limited run but also as a piece that bears the direct touch of the artist. In the broader context of street pop and graffiti artwork, 'Mobius White PP' is a testament to the genre's evolving nature. Lauren YS's work continues to push the boundaries of how street art is perceived and experienced in public spaces and the collectors market. This print, with its interplay of street art sensibilities and fine art execution, captures the essence of this dynamic and continues to inspire dialogue within the art community.

Visual Style and Symbolic Structure The print features Peterson’s signature figures rendered in flat silhouettes with smooth yet aggressive curves. Cleon Peterson’s Role in Street Pop Art & Graffiti Artwork Cleon Peterson, born in the United States, has built a distinct and confrontational visual voice in contemporary art. His figures are often seen in dystopian scenarios where authority and resistance clash violently. Orientations of the Night I embodies this duality, depicting a struggle that feels psychological, mythological, and institutional all at once. The piece is a reflection of Peterson’s ongoing interest in exploring systems of dominance and the thin line between protection and oppression within modern life. Through his precise technique and symbolic storytelling, Peterson continues to contribute to the evolving discourse of Street Pop Art & Graffiti Artwork with uncompromising force.

Full Force AP Artist Proof Silkscreen Print by Indie184- Soraya Marquez Hand-Pulled Screen on 320gsm Coventry Rag Paper Mural Pop Street Artwork. AP Artist Proof 2021 Signed & Marked AP Limited Edition Artwork Size 35x20 Hand Deckled Full Force AP by Indie184 – Feminine Power and Urban Color in Street Pop Art & Graffiti Artwork Full Force AP is a 2021 artist proof silkscreen print by Soraya Marquez, known globally under the name Indie184. Measuring 35 x 20 inches, this piece is hand-pulled on 320gsm Coventry Rag fine art paper and features hand-deckled edges, accentuating its studio-crafted quality and tactile authenticity. Marked AP for artist proof and signed by the artist, this version carries a unique rarity beyond the standard edition, making it particularly significant for collectors of Street Pop Art & Graffiti Artwork. The artwork explodes with layers of vibrant color, classic film iconography, graffiti motifs, and urban symbolism, presenting a full-spectrum statement on femininity, resistance, and visual culture. Portraiture, Empowerment, and Visual Echo The composition centers on mirrored grayscale portraits of a glamorous, vintage-styled woman whose expressions and posture communicate strength and introspection. Her image is doubled and placed within a landscape of graffiti tags, starbursts, paint splatters, and vivid lightning bolts—elements that create both chaos and cohesion. The lightning bolts, one orange and one yellow, emerge from each figure’s head like symbols of mental energy or forceful clarity. The phrase Full Force blazes across the bottom in colorful bubble letters, tagged in graffiti style with hearts and dots, standing as both a title and a declaration. Indie184 transforms these women into icons of power, placing them at the center of the visual noise that typically overwhelms feminine presence in urban culture. Technique and Texture in Artist Proof Craftsmanship The use of hand-pulled silkscreen printing on heavyweight 320gsm Coventry Rag paper allows each color and layer to remain distinct while also embracing texture and slight imperfections that add life to the work. The hand-deckled edges reinforce the piece’s raw character, contrasting the refined photographic imagery with street-inspired surface disruption. Every paint drip, tag, and layer of spray-effect coloring is deliberate yet expressive, embodying Indie184’s ability to channel mural-scale energy into fine art dimensions. As an artist proof, this print represents an early and personal take from the artist’s own studio, with minor variances that reflect the organic nature of silkscreen production. It is more than a reproduction—it is a part of the process. Indie184 and the Rhythm of Rebellion in Urban Feminism Born in New York City, Soraya Marquez blends her roots in graffiti and hip-hop with an unmistakable pop sensibility. Through works like Full Force AP, she channels that background into a form of creative resistance—where glitter, glam, and graffiti collide without compromise. Her characters are not passive objects but focal forces, navigating and commanding the visual field rather than being consumed by it. With every sticker-like heart, hand-tagged phrase, and explosive splash of color, Indie184 speaks to women who exist with pride in public space, carving their own definitions of beauty, strength, and voice. In the landscape of Street Pop Art & Graffiti Artwork, Full Force AP stands not only as a celebration of aesthetic but as a declaration of presence, where art meets attitude and culture is rewritten in full color.

Cleon Peterson Divided We Stand, United We Fall Silkscreen Print by Cleon Peterson

Divided We Stand, United We Fall Hand-Pulled 2-Color Silkscreen Print on Hand Deckled 290gsm Coventry Rag Paper by Artist Cleon Peterson Limited Edition Pop Art Artwork. 2022 Signed & Numbered Limited Edition of XXX Artwork Size 18x24 "The TRUTH image ran in the New York Times right before the election in the opinion feature, What Have We Lost. The Devil Made Me Do it & Divided We Stand, United We Fall were both made on January 6th in response to the Faustian bargain that Trump and his accomplices made in designing the coup. Today we find ourselves at a crossroads; now, more than ever, is the time we need to come together, take a stand, exercise our voices, and fight for Truth and Democracy. Hopefully, daylight will cast off this right-wing authoritarian spell. I see these posters as markers of a historical time and feel a duty within to share my views. We’re all exhausted by politics, but we must embrace the moment and take action because the threat is fundamental; our democracy could be gone in the blink of an eye." - Cleon Peterson The connection of Peterson with street art is also an aspect of his work worth mentioning. Even though he has created numerous murals all over the world, the artist himself does consider himself a street artist: “I don’t think of myself as a street artist or somebody that does work in that vein, but I love the idea of doing large paintings that confront people.”. This is revealing of his motivation to make his art as accessible as possible, as a way to invite the viewers to interact with it and confront the subjects the artist is interested in addressing. This brings up the following questions concerning the art of Peterson: “What is the meaning of it? Does it have a meaning after all? If yes, is this pre-determined by the artist? In order to better understand the way meaning is created in the world of Cleon Peterson, it is essential to, primarily, understand the way he perceives the media as a field of allegations, unbased rumors, suppositions and outright lies. In the world that the artist has created and, in correlation with our own reality, media is a tool of manipulation in the hands of politicians, leaving us helpless and in the mercy of an exploitative authoritarian system.
