Re-Vandalism Blue by Outis Re-Vandalism Blue is an evocative 11-color hand-pulled silkscreen print created by Outis, a highly regarded name in street pop art and graffiti artwork. Released in 2015, this signed and numbered limited edition of 101 showcases Outis’ bold commentary on the intersection of street art and traditional fine art. Printed on 300gsm Somerset Satin paper, this 70 x 52 cm masterpiece features a vibrant blue graffiti throw-up displayed prominently in a gallery setting, surrounded by an admiring crowd. The work brilliantly merges the raw energy of graffiti with the refined context of an art gallery, challenging the boundaries of artistic expression. A Bold Statement in Street Pop Art Re-Vandalism Blue captures the tension between institutionalized art and the raw, rebellious spirit of graffiti. The central focus is a graffiti tag in vibrant blue, styled in the form of a throw-up, boldly displayed in an ornate gallery setting typically reserved for classical works. The juxtaposition of the urban art form against a backdrop of framed masterpieces creates a thought-provoking visual narrative. A crowd of people, depicted in detailed black-and-white, stands in awe, snapping photos and admiring the piece, highlighting the growing acceptance and appreciation of street art as a legitimate art form. The Visionary Creativity of Outis Outis, a mysterious figure in the street art world, is celebrated for his ability to bridge the worlds of graffiti artwork and pop art. His work often explores themes of identity, rebellion, and the evolving perception of urban art within mainstream culture. Re-Vandalism Blue exemplifies Outis’ talent for blending sharp social commentary with visually arresting imagery. The title itself suggests a reclamation of graffiti’s roots while placing it in a context that forces viewers to rethink its role in the art world. Through this piece, Outis blurs the lines between vandalism and fine art, creating a dialogue that resonates deeply within contemporary art circles. A Collectible Masterpiece The limited-edition nature of Re-Vandalism Blue enhances its appeal among collectors. With only 101 pieces in existence, each signed and numbered by the artist, this artwork is a rare and valuable addition to any collection. The 11-color silkscreen printing technique results in vibrant, textured imagery that draws the viewer’s eye, while the high-quality 300gsm Somerset Satin paper ensures its durability and premium presentation. The large format of the piece further amplifies its impact, making it a striking centerpiece in any collection or exhibition. Re-Vandalism Blue by Outis is a compelling piece that celebrates the power of graffiti artwork while critiquing its institutionalization. The combination of bold visuals, cultural commentary, and limited availability makes this artwork a testament to the enduring relevance and versatility of street pop art in the modern art landscape.

Bias by Numbers- Large Format 30X42 4-Color Hand-Pulled Limited Edition Silkscreen Print on Fine Speckletone Art Paper by Shepard Fairey Rare Street Art OBEY Pop Artwork Artist. Signed & Numbered, Bias by Numbers 30 inches by 42 inches Edition of 89 June 3, 2019 “Bias by Numbers” addresses racial bias in policing, criminal justice, and media culture. Racial bias in policing and criminal justice has a long history, including stats like – black people being five times more likely to be stopped and searched than white people, and four times more likely to be subjected to unnecessary use of force, or four times more likely to be killed by the police when unarmed. The statistics revealing racial bias in prosecution and sentencing are compelling as well. Though recreational drug use is equally common in both predominantly black communities and predominantly white communities, convictions for drug possession are almost six times higher for blacks. Blacks frequently receive longer prison sentences than whites contributing to African Americans being incarcerated at more than five times the rate of whites.

  • Treepeople 7 Year Bitch Gnome Nubbin 1992 Seattle WA Silkscreen Print by Frank Kozik

Frank Kozik Treepeople 7 Year Bitch Gnome Nubbin 1992 Seattle WA Silkscreen Print by Frank Kozik

Treepeople 7-Year Bitch Gnome Nubbin 1992 Seattle WA Silkscreen Print by Frank Kozik Hand-Pulled on Fine Art Paper Limited Edition Pop Street Art Artwork. 1992 Signed by Kozik & Numbered Limited Edition of 250 Artwork Size 11x35 Silkscreen Print Band Gig Poster by Frank Kozik. Treepeople 7 Year Bitch Gnome Nubbin RKCNDY Seattle Washington 5-15-1992 In the vibrant landscape of early 90s pop culture, Frank Kozik's "Treepeople 7-Year Bitch Gnome Nubbin" silkscreen print emerges as a vivid artifact of the era's music scene, particularly that of Seattle, Washington. Dated May 15, 1992, and designed for a concert at the now-legendary venue RKCNDY, the poster represents a visual symphony of the zeitgeist, highlighting the grit and raw energy that defined the grunge movement. This hand-pulled print on fine art paper is a limited edition, with Kozik signing and numbering each of the 250 pieces, underscoring the exclusivity and cultural value of the work. With its size stretching to an impressive 11x35 inches, the artwork presents a striking design that embodies the anarchic spirit associated with Kozik's work and the music of the featured bands—Treepeople, 7 Year Bitch, Gnome, and Nubbin. The central figure in the print is a clown-like character, a recurring motif in Kozik's work, which often blends the grotesque with the whimsical. The figure's exaggerated features and the explosion of colors around it create a sense of celebration and parody, a duality that often permeates street art. Such pieces are more than mere promotional items; they are snapshots of a cultural moment. They reflect the aesthetic and ethos of the underground music scenes of the time, where the visual art was as much a part of the experience as the music itself. Kozik's prints, like this one, connect the energy of live performances with the tangible world of art collecting, offering fans a piece of history that encapsulates the sound, mood, and rebellion of the period. The poster's inclusion in the annals of pop, street, and graffiti art is undeniable. It captures the do-it-yourself essence and the anti-establishment stance that the visual and musical arts expressed during the early nineties. For collectors and enthusiasts alike, it stands not just as a piece of memorabilia but as a symbolic work that continues to influence the aesthetic trajectories of street and pop art to this day.

  • Just A Minor Threat Silkscreen Print by Glen E Friedman x Shepard Fairey- OBEY

Just A Minor Threat Silkscreen Print by Shepard Fairey- OBEY Hand-Pulled on Cream Speckletone Fine Art Paper Limited Edition Artwork Obey Pop Culture Artist. 2023 Signed by Glen E Friedman x Shepard Fairey- OBEY & Numbered Limited Edition of 550 Artwork Size 18x24 Silkscreen Print Depicting Punk Rock Music Band Minor Threat & Ian MacKaye Stylized Raging Concert Photo by Glen E Friedman "I first heard Minor Threat in 1985 when I had been skateboarding and listening to punk and hardcore for a year. I was quickly becoming more confident, outspoken, and energized by D.I.Y. culture, and I was voraciously hungry for things that fuelled my emotional and intellectual evolution. Minor Threat was rocket fuel for my journey. Not only is their music a ferocious explosion of energy, but their playing is tight, and Ian MacKaye’s lyrics are intelligent and provocative. On top of that, Minor Threat created their own label, Dischord Records, to put out their music as well as records by other D.C. bands. Minor Threat and Dischord are profound influences on me, so I was very excited to collaborate with Glen on a Minor Threat print to celebrate the release of his new book “Just a Minor Threat.” Glen has the most intimate and powerful photos of Minor Threat, so it was possible to craft an illustration with strong images of all the band members. I’m also incredibly grateful to have the blessing of the members of Minor Threat." -Shepard Fairey- OBEY "Minor Threat is obviously one of the great foundations of hardcore punk rock. Inspiration for legions around the world, including Shepard and myself. As we’ve done with my last several books, Shepard and I got together and collaborated to make a print celebrating the release of the new publication. Shepard is one of my designing confidants and often gives me advice during my process of bookmaking so it makes sense that once the project comes to fruition, we enthusiastically make these prints of artists that inspire both of us. This print is based on separate images of each individual in the band as well as the always omnipresent audience that were a major part of incredible Minor Threat gigs. The book came out great and is different from previous books; it has its own voice, not only through the trove of never-before-seen photographs but also through the incredible essays throughout. Be inspired." -Glen E Friedman The intersection of punk rock and visual art finds a pulsating tribute in Shepard Fairey's silkscreen print titled "Just A Minor Threat." This limited edition piece, numbered to only 550 and signed by both Fairey and celebrated photographer Glen E. Friedman, crystallizes the essence of the iconic hardcore punk band Minor Threat. Created on Cream Speckletone Fine Art Paper and measuring 18x24 inches, the artwork commemorates not only the band's fierce energy but also the release of Friedman's new book. Minor Threat, fronted by Ian MacKaye, left an indelible mark on the punk scene with their explosive music and D.I.Y. ethos. This band didn't just play music; they ignited a cultural movement by establishing Dischord Records, encouraging self-expression and independence within the arts community. Fairey, himself a product of the skateboarding and punk cultures of the 1980s, attributes his confidence and outspoken nature to the catalytic influence of bands like Minor Threat. His collaboration with Friedman is not just a celebration of their shared inspirations but a manifestation of the band's impact on their creative and intellectual trajectories. The artwork vividly captures the raw intensity of a Minor Threat performance, with each member and the palpable energy of the audience rendered in a style that bridges the gap between photography and stylized illustration. This visual synergy complements the narrative of Friedman's book, which not only offers an array of unseen photographs but is peppered with essays that give voice to the era and the band's pivotal role in it. Fairey's print stands as a testament to the band's legacy and as a beacon for those fueled by the spirit of rebellion and authenticity that Minor Threat so potently symbolized.

We used very different color palettes in our murals there so we decided that since we both liked black, red, and silver – that we could put our chromatic differences aside and join forces on those three colors for the print. I’d still recommend seeing the murals in person if you have the opportunity, but this print is an avatar I can be proud of. All of the prints are signed by me and D*Face so you know that meant they had to travel to Spain and back – luckily, they’re all in good shape. • Metallica Helping Hands Silkscreen Print by Shepard Fairey- OBEY

Shepard Fairey- OBEY Metallica Helping Hands Silkscreen Print by Shepard Fairey- OBEY

Metallica Helping Hands Silkscreen Print by Shepard Fairey- OBEY Hand-Pulled Color on Cream Speckletone Fine Art Paper Limited Edition Artwork Obey Pop Culture Artist. 2024 Signed by Shepard Fairey- OBEY & Numbered Limited Edition of 500 Artwork Size 18x24 Silkscreen Print Featuring a Skull Flower For the Mega Rock bands Metallica, Sammy Hagar & Sistastrings "Metallica recently asked me to create the poster for their Helping Hands concert. Of course, I said yes because Metallica is one of my favorite bands and the tightest live band I have ever seen! Plus, the concert benefits some great causes. This print celebrates triumph over adversity while acknowledging that life is fragile and it’s in our hands to build the world we want for ourselves and our brothers and sisters." -Shepard Fairey- OBEY Metallica Helping Hands Silkscreen Print by Shepard Fairey - OBEY Shepard Fairey’s Metallica Helping Hands silkscreen print fuses raw rock iconography with the sharply tuned visual philosophy of Street Pop Art & Graffiti Artwork. Created for Metallica’s December 13th, 2024 concert at the YouTube Theater in Los Angeles, the artwork stands as both a promotional and cultural artifact—one that reinforces Fairey’s unique position at the nexus of music, politics, and visual rebellion. This limited edition, hand-pulled silkscreen print on 18x24 inch cream Speckletone paper is not only signed and numbered by Fairey himself, but also issued in a strict run of 500 copies, elevating its stature as both a collectible and a testament to contemporary poster art. Design Symbolism and Visual Impact The composition centers around a stark white hand clutching a stylized flower whose petals subtly morph into a skull motif, with the flower’s stem winding in a way that evokes both delicacy and defiance. This emblem, rendered in bold reds, blacks, and whites, signals duality—life and death, fragility and force, compassion and rebellion. The deliberate contrast between the flower’s soft curves and the jagged lines of the skull mirrors the complex ethos of Metallica’s music, where heavy riffs often meet introspective lyrics. Fairey’s hallmark typography and symmetrical layout deliver the immediacy and intensity familiar in his most iconic works, extending the print’s resonance far beyond mere merchandise. Metallica and the Culture of Amplified Resistance Metallica’s presence in pop culture transcends heavy metal. Their brand of amplified resistance, sharpened through decades of visual, sonic, and lyrical output, fits naturally into the framework of Street Pop Art. Fairey’s poster positions the band not just as musicians, but as cultural avatars whose artistic collaborations hold weight in the visual conversation around social change. By visually contextualizing the concert’s philanthropic mission—benefiting Metallica’s All Within My Hands Foundation—Fairey presents rock music not just as expression but as action, and art as an extension of that impact. Shepard Fairey’s Role in Street Pop Art & Graffiti Artwork Fairey’s artistic lineage is defined by disruption, clarity of message, and the subversive use of commercial aesthetics to question power structures. In this print, he leverages those core traits while paying homage to a band whose legacy aligns with his own. The print maintains the stylistic elements synonymous with Fairey’s OBEY imprint—sharp silhouettes, geometric precision, and symbolic weight—while also introducing a warmth and sentimentality not always seen in his politically charged works. The image of the skull flower, set against the backdrop of a performance by Metallica, Sammy Hagar, and Sistastrings, becomes a modern-day reliquary—a symbol of unity through sound, protest, and design. This piece not only enshrines a single event but expands its reach into the broader discourse of art activism, making it a defining example of what happens when two cultural juggernauts—Shepard Fairey and Metallica—merge on canvas within the framework of Street Pop Art & Graffiti Artwork.

The GLK is into dark and psychedelic sounds, so that, combined with his name, called for a hippie/horror salad tossed with a blood vinaigrette. The flavor was only enhanced by the Gaslamp Killer’s more sinister personal look, having shaved his dreads and grown an unruly beard and sideburns combo worthy of the most savage maniacs. You must wade through boiling pools of blood to get to the promised land, but the journey the Gaslamp Killer takes you on is all part of the destination.” Shepard Fairey

Created for the Red Hot Chili Peppers' performance at the legendary Fillmore in San Francisco, this 13x19-inch hand-pulled silkscreen print was commissioned as part of the Bill Graham Presents concert series. Featuring bold colors, surrealist imagery, and an unmistakable punk aesthetic, this piece captures the raw intensity of the era’s alternative rock movement. The inclusion of supporting acts Primus and Mary’s Danish further cements its significance as a relic of an explosive time in live music history. Visual Composition and Artistic Style Frank Kozik’s artistic style is instantly recognizable in this print, with its bold neon hues, high-contrast linework, and provocative subject matter. The composition features a flaming skeleton with an exaggerated grin, clad in a polka-dotted bikini bottom, with its tongue out in a defiant gesture. The presence of a stylized, curvy female figure in the background adds a surreal, almost psychedelic touch, reinforcing the wild, chaotic energy associated with the Red Hot Chili Peppers' music. The background consists of swirling patterns in bright pink and purple, creating a hypnotic effect that draws the viewer into the image. The heavy use of black outlines and exaggerated cartoonish elements reflect Kozik’s influence from underground comics, skate culture, and punk zine aesthetics. The typography follows a classic gig poster format, with large block lettering announcing the headlining act in bright pink against a dark background, while additional text in cyan provides details of the event. This mix of playful, irreverent imagery and structured design highlights Kozik’s mastery in blending controlled chaos with striking visual appeal. Street Pop Art & Graffiti Artwork Influence Frank Kozik’s work stands at the crossroads of Street Pop Art & Graffiti Artwork, merging countercultural aesthetics with fine art printmaking techniques. The poster's aggressive, high-contrast design is reminiscent of graffiti stencils, while the hand-pulled silkscreen process ensures that each print carries a unique, raw texture. The exaggerated punk-inspired figures, combined with psychedelic color palettes, align with the visual language found in 1980s street art and underground concert promotion. This piece reflects the DIY spirit of gig poster culture, where artists crafted promotional artwork that doubled as collectible art. Kozik’s ability to merge lowbrow sensibilities with high-impact design has made his prints some of the most sought-after in the gig poster scene. His background in self-published artwork and street-level design tactics translates into compositions that feel alive, rebellious, and unfiltered. Collectibility and Cultural Impact As an official Fillmore poster, this silkscreen print holds immense historical and artistic value. The late 1980s were a defining era for the Red Hot Chili Peppers, as they blended funk, punk, and rock to create a sound that would later dominate alternative music. The collaboration with Primus, a band equally known for its genre-defying sound, adds to the poster’s significance as a symbol of musical innovation. Frank Kozik’s gig posters have become highly collectible, with limited-edition prints from this era commanding high demand among both art collectors and music fans. The handcrafted nature of the silkscreen process ensures that each piece has its own unique character, reinforcing the authenticity and individuality of the work. Kozik’s influence continues to shape modern poster design, and this print remains a testament to his ability to translate the raw energy of live music into visually arresting artwork. Gig Poster & Events Graffiti Street Pop Artwork

Gig Posters & Events in Street Pop Art & Graffiti Artwork

Gig posters have long been a vital part of Street Pop Art & Graffiti Artwork, serving as both promotional tools and collectible pieces of art. These posters are more than just advertisements for live music events; they are visual statements that capture the energy, personality, and mood of a performance. The best gig posters go beyond basic typography and images, using bold graphics, expressive lettering, and striking compositions to create an immediate and lasting impact. Many artists within the street art and pop art movements have contributed to the evolution of gig posters, transforming them from simple announcements into highly sought-after pieces of art that reflect the independent and underground nature of the music scene.

Artistic Techniques and Visual Impact

Silkscreen printing has played a significant role in the creation of gig posters, allowing for the use of bold colors, intricate textures, and high-contrast imagery. Hand-pulled screenprints give posters a tactile quality that sets them apart from digital reproductions, making each print unique. Many gig poster artists draw inspiration from graffiti techniques, incorporating stenciling, spray paint textures, and raw, distressed finishes that mimic the appearance of urban street murals. The influence of Street Pop Art & Graffiti Artwork is evident in the way artists layer colors, distort imagery, and blend typography with hand-drawn elements to create dynamic, eye-catching compositions. These posters are often designed with a DIY ethos, reflecting the punk, rock, and indie music scenes they represent.

Street Pop Art & Graffiti Artwork Influence

Gig posters share a deep connection with Street Pop Art & Graffiti Artwork because they both thrive on rebellion, individuality, and raw expression. Like graffiti, gig posters often appear in unexpected locations—pasted on walls, telephone poles, and venue doors—becoming an essential part of the urban landscape. The vibrant, subversive nature of these posters reflects the energy of the live music experience, capturing the chaos and excitement of a concert through visual storytelling. Many artists who specialize in gig posters also work in street art, transferring their skills between large-scale murals and print-based artwork. The use of bold, contrasting colors, oversized lettering, and surreal, often psychedelic imagery makes these posters feel like extensions of the graffiti and pop art movements, where visual intensity and cultural commentary go hand in hand.

Collectibility and Cultural Significance

Gig posters have evolved from temporary event promotions to highly collectible art pieces, with fans and collectors seeking out limited-edition prints from their favorite artists and musicians. Hand-signed and numbered editions add to their value, turning them into works that exist beyond the lifespan of a single event. Many musicians and bands collaborate directly with artists from the Street Pop Art & Graffiti Artwork scene, commissioning exclusive posters that reflect the aesthetic and spirit of their sound. Music festivals, underground shows, and independent venues continue to rely on these artists to create compelling visuals that make events stand out. The lasting impact of gig posters within street art culture highlights their role in preserving the visual identity of music scenes, ensuring that each event leaves behind not just memories but also tangible works of art that embody the energy of the moment.
