Pop culture, graffiti, and street art have been playing an instrumental role in the contemporary art scene, presenting unique takes on traditional motifs and embracing the amalgamation of different artistic forms. Mimi Yoon, a celebrated artist in this sphere, has achieved commendable success with her artwork titled "Once Upon A Time No More 2". This creation stands as a testament to her ingenious approach, seamlessly merging classic fairy tale imagery with modern cultural symbols. Rendered as a giclee print, a method renowned for its ability to reproduce color accurately and with high-resolution detail, the artwork is presented on lenticular fine art paper. This particular choice of medium is what sets "Once Upon A Time No More 2" apart. This dynamic visual effect means that the image morphs depending on the viewer's perspective, offering a multifaceted and interactive experience. Mimi Yoon's decision to use this technique infuses an element of dynamism and modernity into her artwork, allowing the narrative to evolve with the observer's movement. The subject matter of the artwork is both captivating and thought-provoking. It portrays a reimagined Cinderella, juxtaposed with the iconic Nike shoes from Chicago Dior, challenging the traditional Cinderella narrative where glass slippers play a pivotal role. This deliberate blend of a fairy tale princess with contemporary streetwear reflects a cultural shift, suggesting a modernized fairy tale where brand logos and urban style have a significant place. The presence of the bird and mouse, familiar figures from the Cinderella story, further intertwines the old with the new, cementing Yoon's narrative of a modern-day fairy tale. The year 2021 marked a milestone for "Once Upon A Time No More 2", as it was released as a limited edition piece. As a representation in the broader context of pop art, graffiti, and street art, this piece exemplifies how artists like Yoon are rewriting norms and pushing boundaries. It serves as a reminder that art is ever-evolving, constantly influenced by societal shifts, technological advancements, and the artist's own perspectives. Purchase Speedy On Adderall Blotter Paper Archival Print by Ben Frost Limited Edition Fine Art Archival Pigment Print Art on Perforated Blotter Paper. 2023 Signed & Numbered Limited Edition of 100 Archival Pigment Print on Perforated Blotter Paper Size: 7.5 x 7.5 Inches Release: April 19, 2023 Speedy Gonzales Looney Tunes Limited blotter editions are hand-perforated by Zane Kesey. The "Speedy On Adderall Blotter Paper Archival Print" is another provocative piece by contemporary artist Ben Frost, known for his critical and vibrant works that often incorporate elements of pop culture and consumerism. Released alongside its counterpart on April 19, 2023, this limited edition piece similarly presents a stark commentary on the intersection of medication, in this case, Adderall, and cartoon characters, with Speedy Gonzales of Looney Tunes fame taking the spotlight. Limited to a mere 100 signed and numbered editions, this artwork is printed on 7.5 x 7.5 inches perforated blotter paper, a material choice that is emblematic of Frost's distinctive approach to art creation. The medium is particularly notable for its historical association with the distribution of substances, thereby intensifying the print's dialogue about pharmaceutical consumption and its prevalence in society. Speedy Gonzales, the "fastest mouse in all Mexico," is a fitting character for this work, bringing into focus the drug's intended effects on attention and speed of cognitive processes. By placing this animated icon on a background that mimics a prescription for Adderall, a medication used to treat ADHD and narcolepsy, Frost not only showcases his hallmark juxtaposition of innocence with more adult themes but also casts a light on the sometimes frivolous use of prescription stimulants in today's fast-paced lifestyle. Each print is hand-perforated by Zane Kesey, adding a layer of authenticity and craft that contrasts with the otherwise mass-produced nature of the subjects depicted. In the realms of pop, street, and graffiti art, Frost's work is both a critique and a celebration of the culture it represents. This piece, much like other works by the artist, invites viewers to question the narratives fed to us by the media and pharmaceutical companies and encourages a dialogue on the cultural implications of these narratives. "Speedy On Adderall" is more than just a piece of fine art; it is a cultural statement, encapsulating concerns about mental health, the ethics of drug use, and the pervasive nature of animated characters in shaping our understanding of the world. Collectors and enthusiasts who acquire this print not only get a unique piece of art but also engage with the broader conversations that are central to Frost's artistic agenda.

PP Printers Proof 2018 Signed & Marked PP Limited Edition Artwork Size 24x18 Archival Pigment Fine Art. Cici N'est Pas Une Mickey Mouse, or "This is Not a Mickey Mouse" Exploring "Ceci N'est Pas Une Mickey Mouse" by Shark Toof "Ceci N'est Pas Une Mickey Mouse" is a Printer's Proof (PP) archival print that illuminates Shark Toof's presence in the contemporary pop art movement. Produced in 2018, this work is an artistic assertion, signed and marked PP, signifying its authenticity and rarity as a limited edition. Printed on 310gsm Fine Art Paper, the artwork employs archival pigment, ensuring that the vibrancy of its colors and the precision of its lines endure. The artwork, with dimensions of 24x18 inches, offers a substantial visual impact, reflecting the artist's intent to blend the world of street pop art with the finesse of fine art. Street Pop Art and Iconic Imagery In this piece, Shark Toof takes on the iconic image of Mickey Mouse, transforming it into a work that transcends the boundaries of graffiti and street pop art. Mickey Mouse, created by Walt Disney and Ub Iwerks, symbolizes childhood innocence and American popular culture since 1928. Shark Toof's rendition challenges this benign image, presenting an iteration that compels viewers to confront the layered meanings behind such a globally recognized symbol. By doing so, Shark Toof partakes in the grand tradition of pop art—recontextualizing familiar imagery to provoke thought and dialogue. Contemporary Reflections in Modern Art The piece's title, "Ceci N'est Pas Une Mickey Mouse," directly references René Magritte's "The Treachery of Images," a work that challenges observers' perceptions of reality. Similarly, Shark Toof's artwork invites the audience to reconsider the image of Mickey Mouse, asking them to delve deeper into their understanding of pop culture icons and their significance. This piece does not merely represent Mickey Mouse; it is a complex commentary on the character as a cultural product and its ubiquitous presence in the collective consciousness. Shark Toof uses a collage of disparate elements to compose the figure, hinting at the multifaceted nature of Mickey Mouse as a character that has been reinvented and reinterpreted over decades—the sharp teeth and fragmented composition critique childhood's commercialization and consumer culture's predatory nature. Shark Toof's Mickey Mouse symbolizes the loss of innocence in the face of commercial exploitation. Fine art paper and archival pigment position this piece within the discourse of art preservation, juxtaposing the ephemeral nature of street art with the permanence sought by fine artworks. In doing so, Shark Toof elevates the status of street pop art, aligning it with traditional art forms and ensuring its legacy. "Ceci N'est Pas Une Mickey Mouse" is a testament to Shark Toof's ability to navigate the interstices of pop culture, street art, and high art. His work declares that street pop art and graffiti artwork are not just fleeting visuals in the urban landscape but are significant statements with the power to influence, critique, and enrich the art world. Through this piece, Shark Toof contributes to the ongoing conversation about the role and impact of popular culture in art, urging us to reflect on the images we consume and the meanings we ascribe to them.

This limited edition silkscreen print series is a striking example of the fusion between traditional printmaking techniques and contemporary street art sensibilities. Each piece in this collection is meticulously hand-pulled on Hahnemühle fine art paper, a testament to the artist's dedication to quality and craftsmanship. What sets "The Year Of The Super Power Rat" apart is the lavish use of gold leaf, which brings an element of opulence to the otherwise gritty domain of street art. This hand-embellished, hand-pulled silkscreen print series is limited to thirty, each piece intricately detailed and numbered by the artist. The inclusion of gold leaf in street art is a bold move by Miss Bugs, elevating the work from the ephemeral to the eternal, from the urban to the exquisite. The Fusion of Pop Art Imagery and Graffiti Technique In "The Year Of The Super Power Rat," Miss Bugs delves into the symbolism of power and resilience, traits often associated with the eponymous rodent in cultural lore. The series reflects a year marked by these characteristics, with the superhero motif serving as a metaphor for the extraordinary capabilities that lie within the ordinary. Miss Bugs' choice of materials—spray paint and gold leaf—on Hahnemühle fine art paper, traditionally reserved for more 'refined' art forms, blurs the lines between high art and street art, between the fleeting and the permanent. The exclusivity of the series, with only thirty pieces in existence, is a nod to the collector's desire for owning something truly unique. Each artwork, sized at 19.7x24 inches, is an intimate canvas for Miss Bugs’ layered visual storytelling. The limited edition nature of "The Year Of The Super Power Rat" assures that each piece is not just a fragment of street pop art but a collectible artifact that captures a moment in the evolving narrative of contemporary art. Miss Bugs' Contribution to Modern Street Art Miss Bugs' work, particularly this series, contributes significantly to the dialogue surrounding modern street art. By integrating elements like gold leaf into the traditionally rebellious medium of spray paint and stenciling, the artist challenges preconceived notions of what street art can embody. "The Year Of The Super Power Rat" stands as a powerful example of how street pop art can be both grand and accessible, both impermanent in its urban roots and lasting in its artistic statement. "The Year Of The Super Power Rat" by Miss Bugs is a profound piece within the spectrum of street pop art and graffiti artwork. Its hand-pulled silkscreen technique adorned with gold leaf on fine art paper stands as a testament to the innovation and artistry of Miss Bugs. This series not only captures the imagination with its visual splendor but also encapsulates the transformative power of art as it moves from the street corners to the hallowed walls of collectors and connoisseurs.

The artwork reflects Dalek's background in graffiti and formal art education, bridging the gap between street culture and fine art. The color scheme of "Night Time Manila Yellow" is evocative of the neon-lit urban landscapes, reminiscent of the nocturnal scenes of Manila. The vibrant yellows, deep blues, and pops of pink and green evoke a feeling of the city at night, alive and pulsing with energy. "I started the piece in the beginning of May 2012 for an exhibition in Lisbon, named ‘Shapes for All’. The Stroke Art Fair was a great experience. I made some other pieces for the same exhibition, all a bit different but very similar. The materials are my usual materials: acrylics and spray cans.I used to like to mixed some colors in particular with some specifics forms and that’s what I have made here. I have created an environment for the Mickey Mouse, where we can find some abstract layers. On this piece there is a bit of extra appreciation for the clean line. The grey paint that I used was one of the most spectacular greys that I have ever worked with." - Helio Bray

The resulting prints are often abstract and colorful, and can be used for a variety of decorative and artistic purposes. Jeff Gillette Mickey Hiroshima Archival Print by Jeff Gillette
Purchase Mickey Hiroshima Limited Edition Archival Pigment Prints on 290gsm Moab Fine Art Rag Paper by Jeff Gillette Graffiti Street Artist Modern Pop Art. 2013 Signed & Numbered Limited Edition of 30 Size 14x9 "I am from the suburbs of Detroit, Michigan. In the late 1980s, I was a Peace Corps volunteer in Nepal for two years. During this two-year stint, I visited every major city in India, finding myself exploring the huge slums found there. On my return home, I moved from the Mid-West to escape the snow to teach High School Art in Orange County, California. Since finishing my MFA at Cal State Fullerton, I have been exhibiting in galleries both at home and abroad. My work is most often landscapes. A major portion of my output is paintings of slums of the developing world, where I often add an element of western cultural privilege (and oblivion) into settings of urban blight. Inspiration for what I call “Slumscapes” comes from the first-hand experience of traveling. Most often I return over and over to my favorite destination: India. In the vast poverty-stricken fringes of its vast megalopolises, I trip out on how the economic disparities are obscenely extreme. I’ve been spending a lot of time in Mumbai slums: photographing, filming, creating Plein Aire paintings, and creating interactive street art. Besides depicting slums, my artwork portrays post-apocalyptic debris fields, landfills, and detritus-cluttered deserts. The Juxtaposition of Disney themes and beloved characters (i.e.: Mickey Mouse) with all these dystopias best conveys my personal views. Pondering contemporary social, political, economical and philosophical conundrums, I can’t help but feel absurdly helpless, pessimistic and humored about the future of Western Civilization…" - Jeff Gillette

Purchase Art in Action- Stealing Banksy Archival Pigment Fine Art Limited Edition Print on 290gsm Moab Entrada Paper by Artist Jeff Gillette Urban Pop Art. 2022 Signed & Numbered Limited Edition of 100 Archival Pigment Print on 290gsm Moab Entrada Fine Art Paper Artwork Size 16x20 "Art in Action- Stealing Banksy" by Jeff Gillette is a provocative limited edition print that confronts the viewer with a powerful commentary on the commodification and ownership of street art. This 2022 archival pigment print on 290gsm Moab Entrada fine art paper, in a limited series of 100 signed and numbered editions, presents a stark black, white, and red composition that is sizeable at 16x20 inches, designed to make a statement wherever it is displayed. Gillette's work is often a satirical exploration of the intersection between global pop culture and the gritty realities of urban environments, and "Stealing Banksy" is no exception. The piece showcases a stenciled image reminiscent of the iconic style associated with the elusive street artist Banksy, featuring figures removing a wall piece, with the word "MINE" prominently displayed. The stark monochrome palette punctuated by the bright red text draws the eye immediately to the central message of the piece – the controversial practice of physically removing street art from its original public location to private collections for profit. In this print, Gillette plays with the layered concepts of art, ownership, and value. By depicting the act of 'stealing' Banksy, the artist raises questions about the nature of street art: is it meant to be a freely accessible art form or a commodity for the highest bidder? The image acts as a stark reminder of the tensions between art as a public treasure and as a private luxury. For collectors, "Art in Action- Stealing Banksy" is not just a piece of fine art; it's a piece of the ongoing dialogue about the place of street art in society. The limited nature of the print run reflects the exclusivity that comes with the territory of fine art, yet the subject matter critiques this exclusivity. Gillette's signature on each print adds a layer of authenticity and a direct connection to the artist, further entwining the themes of authorship and ownership inherent in the piece's narrative. Through "Stealing Banksy," Jeff Gillette invites us to reflect on the paradoxes of street art's ephemeral nature and its simultaneous status as a coveted commodity in the art market.
