Shepard Fairey- OBEY Fragile Cargo AP Silkscreen Print by Shepard Fairey- OBEY

Fragile Cargo AP Silkscreen Print by Shepard Fairey- OBEY Artist Proof Hand-Pulled Screen Print on Fine Art Paper Limited Edition Pop Street Art Artwork. AP Artist Proof 2022 Signed & AP Marked Original Run Limited Edition Artwork Size 18x24 Silkscreen Print of Elephant & Woman Face With Stylized Vintage Airline Ticket Influence. "This OBEY Fragile Cargo poster is a fusion of a few inspirations. The elephant and my wife Amanda meditating relate to the Buddhist philosophy that humans are part of nature, not above it, and must live in harmony with nature. The phrase "Rise Above" references transcendence but is also one of my favorite Black Flag songs. The graphic elements also reference the aesthetics of travel tags and tickets, which present a dichotomy… travel is great for broadening cultural perspective, but it has a heavy carbon impact. Karma asks us to consider the benefits and consequences of our actions. All of my prints are printed on recycled or sustainable paper. A portion of the proceeds from this print will benefit Greenpeace to support their work to enhance environmental protections and combat climate change." -Shepard Fairey. Delving into pop and street art, the "Fragile Cargo AP" silkscreen print by renowned artist Shepard Fairey is a testament to the dynamic confluence of art, philosophy, and environmental consciousness. Hand-pulled and crafted meticulously on fine art paper, this limited edition artist proof from 2022 manifests an intricate fusion of inspiration sources. The composition, with its arresting visuals of an elephant juxtaposed with the serene face of Fairey's wife, Amanda, draws heavily from Buddhist philosophy. The art underscores the interdependence of humanity and nature, emphasizing the belief that humans do not preside over nature but are inherently a part of it. This intricate blend of artistic expression with philosophical musings is a hallmark of Fairey's work. The term "Rise Above," embedded within the artwork, serves a dual purpose. While it signals transcendence and aligns with the broader philosophical underpinnings of the print, it is also an homage to one of Fairey's favorite songs by Black Flag, a classic American punk rock band. Simultaneously, the design elements, reminiscent of travel tags and vintage airline tickets, invoke a reflection on the complexities of modern travel. The allure of travel, which offers an enriched cultural perspective, is weighed against its environmental impact, specifically the carbon footprint associated with it. Echoing this ecological consciousness, Fairey ensures all his prints are produced on recycled or sustainably sourced paper. Beyond this, a portion of the proceeds from the sale of "Fragile Cargo AP" is dedicated to Greenpeace, highlighting Fairey's commitment to supporting environmental causes and combating the dire challenges of climate change. Through this artwork, Shepard Fairey weaves an intricate tapestry of visual splendor, philosophical depth, and environmental advocacy, reaffirming his position as a luminary in pop and street art.

Shepard Fairey- OBEY Two Americas- Large Format Serigraph Print by Shepard Fairey- OBEY

Two Americas- Large Format Limited Edition Hand Pulled 4-Color Serigraph Print on Varnished 100% Cotton Rag Archival Paper with hand-deckled edges by Shepard Fairey Graffiti Street Artist Modern Pop Art. 4-Color Serigraph on Varnished 100% Cotton Rag Archival Paper. 30 x 40 inches. Signed by Shepard Fairey. Numbered edition of 100. Jim Marshall's photograph of a coal mining family in Hazard, Kentucky, taken while he lived with them, says a lot with what it shows, which is a mother and two children huddled together in support of each other, but it says just as much with what it lacks. There is a conspicuous absence of material necessities and a father. I don't know whether the father was working in a coal mine when the photograph was taken or had potentially died young because of the health risks of working under dangerous conditions, but it is clear that the family is struggling and lacking.

  • Know Your Rights Large Format Serigraph Print by Shepard Fairey- OBEY

Shepard Fairey- OBEY Know Your Rights Large Format Serigraph Print by Shepard Fairey- OBEY

Know Your Rights- Large Format Limited Edition Hand Pulled 1-Color Serigraph Print on Varnished 100% Cotton Rag Archival Paper with hand-deckled edges by Shepard Fairey Graffiti Street Artist Modern Pop Art. 2014 Signed & Numbered Serigraph Artwork 42 x 42 inchesAugust 21, 201. 42 x 42 Large Format Serigraph.1 Color printed on Varnished 100% Cotton Rag Archival Paper. "Know Your Rights" is a commanding serigraph by Shepard Fairey, an artist who has cemented his place in the contemporary art scene through works that intertwine the ethos of street art with the aesthetic of modern pop art. This piece, released on August 21, 2014, is particularly noteworthy not only for its bold political message but also for the meticulous craftsmanship that goes into the production of each print. As an extensive format work, measuring an impressive 42 x 42 inches, it makes an indelible mark on the viewer, both through its scale and its strikingly stark one-color presentation on varnished 100% cotton rag archival paper, complete with hand-deckled edges. Shepard Fairey is renowned for blending fine art with the raw, in-your-face quality of street art and graffiti, and "Know Your Rights" is a prime example of this synthesis. The piece is anchored by a central image featuring an open book titled "THE FUTURE IS UNWRITTEN," encapsulating a message of empowerment and the potential for change. This is framed by laurels and a lit torch, evoking classic motifs that signify victory, knowledge, and enlightenment. The bordering texts "OBEY PROPAGANDA" and "KNOW YOUR RIGHTS" play into Fairey's recurring themes of propaganda, control, and the dissemination of information, urging the viewer to question authority and the narratives they are presented with. Each print in this limited edition is signed and numbered by Fairey, signifying its authenticity and connection to the artist's hand. The decision to use a one-color palette speaks to the work's assertive simplicity and Fairey's skill in using contrast and texture to convey depth and resonance. It's a technique that mirrors his street art roots, where messages must be given quickly and memorably. The serigraph process, a labor-intensive method of screen printing, ensures that each impression is of the highest quality, with the varnishing on the cotton rag paper adding a durable, tactile finish that also enhances the visual impact. "Know Your Rights" stands as a powerful statement in Fairey's oeuvre, reflecting his social and political advocacy rendered through his distinct pop art lens. This artwork resonates with the immediacy of street art and carries the weight of historical art traditions, bridging contemporary concerns with timeless expressions of resistance and hope.

  • Idiocracy Silkscreen Print by Shepard Fairey- OBEY

Shepard Fairey- OBEY Idiocracy Silkscreen Print by Shepard Fairey- OBEY

Idiocracy Limited Edition 4-Color Hand-Pulled Silkscreen Print on Fine Art Paper by Shepard Fairey, Graffiti Street Artist Modern Pop Art. 2016 Signed & Numbered Limited Edition of 550 Artwork Size 18x24 Silkscreen Print "I’ve always felt that art, entertainment, and humor can be the best delivery vehicles for social commentary, so I love the way humor is used in “Idiocracy” to make the social critique more digestible. The movie is a harsh but necessary indictment of the anti-intellectual culture and politics that seem to become the norm more and more everyday. The film is great in a cautionary way and has an enjoyable irony being a somewhat low-brow piece of entertainment about the perils of succumbing to a cultural rejection of anything intellectual or high-brow. In other words, the genius of the film is that it may actually get through to the audience it should reach, rather than just preaching to the intellectual elite" -Shepard Fairey- OBEY Shepard Fairey's "Idiocracy" limited edition print encapsulates the convergence of pop culture and social critique through the lens of contemporary art. Renowned for his subversive street art and graphic designs, Fairey extends his canvas to fine art paper in this 2016 artwork, limited to 550 signed and numbered pieces. The 18x24 silkscreen print features a four-color palette and is a tangible expression of Fairey’s dedication to using art as a medium for commentary on societal issues. Drawing inspiration from Mike Judge's satirical film "Idiocracy," Fairey's print is not only a visual tribute but also a critique of the film’s themes—depicting the troubling rise of anti-intellectualism and the cultural dismissal of enlightenment and sophistication. Fairey himself praises the film's use of humor to present its social criticism in a more palatable form, creating a space for reflection rather than alienation. His artwork captures the film’s ironic humor, using a brain under the guise of a vending machine product—emblematic of commodification and the oversimplification of complex ideas. This print, like many of Fairey’s works, is imbued with a sense of urgency and a call to awareness. It encapsulates the artist's view that the realms of art, humor, and entertainment can effectively intersect to deliver powerful messages about the current state of society. Fairey’s "Idiocracy" is not merely a piece to be admired for its aesthetic appeal, but a statement piece that encapsulates the pressing cultural narrative around the value of intelligence and the dangers of its rejection in public discourse. The visual elements of the print—the juxtaposition of a brain with a hand grenade, the stark and commanding typography, and the bold colors—are characteristic of Fairey's style. They are employed here not only to draw the eye but also to provoke thought, embodying the essence of graffiti and street art as tools for social engagement. In a culture increasingly leaning towards anti-intellectual sentiment, Fairey’s "Idiocracy" stands as a critical beacon in modern pop art, reminding viewers of the power of art as a reflective and transformative force.

One striking example that stands out from recent times is the "Vota! Alto Al Fascismo" artwork, a hand-pulled 4-color silkscreen print on fine art paper. This piece is the brainchild of two phenomenal artists, Shepard Fairey of the Obey fame, and Ernesto Yerena Montejano from Hecho Con Ganas. Both artists are renowned for their bold stances and vibrant portrayals of socio-political issues, and this particular piece showcases their combined brilliance. Drawing inspiration from a decade-old "We Are Human" poster, this modern rendition emphasizes the importance of voting and the dire need to halt the rise of fascism. Ernesto's comment further illustrates the core motive behind this collaboration, shedding light on the broader aim of disseminating the message across cities nationwide through posters and stickers. Engaging, evocative, and ever-relevant, the "Vota! Alto Al Fascismo" artwork seamlessly blends the boundaries between art and activism. As pop art and street art evolve, such pieces remain a testament to their profound impact on society, urging viewers to take action and be part of a larger movement.

This hand-pulled silkscreen print is impressively rendered on Speckletone Fine Art Paper, showcasing Fairey's commitment to both technique and quality. Shepard Fairey- OBEY Revolution in our Time Silkscreen Print by Edward Nachtrieb x Shepard Fairey- OBEY

Revolution in our Time Silkscreen Print by Shepard Fairey- OBEY Hand-Pulled 5-Color on Cream Speckletone Fine Art Paper Limited Edition Artwork Obey Pop Culture Artist. 2020 Signed & Numbered Limited Edition of 500 Artwork Size 18x24 Silkscreen Print "Oct 1 is the 70th anniversary of Communist Party rule in China and the Chinese government is planning an extravaganza of choreographed contentment in the mainland while the people of Hong Kong will hit the streets in an effort to secure their rights. I’ve long believed that protests in the streets are an essential tool for meaningful change because the passion, courage, and visceral force of the participants in a mass protest send a powerful message that they are fully committed to their cause! Ed Nachtrieb photographed many incredible moments of the 1989 Tiananmen Square protests. I’m honored to collaborate with Ed on a set of two images based on his documentation 30 years ago, especially because pro-democracy and human-rights protesters are in the streets of Hong Kong right now! This image “Long Live The People” will be released as a print soon… more details to come. Check out Ed Nachtrieb’s thoughts on the 1989 Tiananmen Square protests." -Shepard Fairey- OBEY "After the People’s Liberation Army was sent in to suppress what is now called the “pro-democracy movement” on June 4, 1989, there was a liberalization of economic rules and policies. China then experienced a remarkable economic transformation. The idea: if people could get rich, they wouldn’t care so much about their freedoms. I think that’s a miscalculation. In Hong Kong today, ideas championed in 1989 have reappeared in a “Revolution of Our Time” in spite of the campaign to erase such “counter-revolutionary” thoughts from history. My images used in these prints are from energetic and optimistic moments of the pro-democracy movement. Victory was in the air. Progress seemed inevitable to those with arms outstretched and smiles beaming from their faces. Shepard’s work reflects their hopes and aspirations. The same ones that fortified those protesters in 1989 are now fuel for the passionate idealists on the streets today." -Edward Nachtrieb Shepard Fairey Revolution in Our Time 2020 Silkscreen Print Shepard Fairey, born Frank Shepard Fairey in the United States, created Revolution in Our Time in 2020 as part of a collaboration with American photojournalist Edward Nachtrieb. This hand pulled five color silkscreen print measures 18 x 24 inches and is produced on cream Speckletone fine art paper in a signed and numbered limited edition of 500. The imagery is based on Nachtrieb’s documentation of the 1989 Tiananmen Square pro democracy demonstrations, reinterpreted through Fairey’s bold graphic language rooted in Street Pop Art & Graffiti Artwork. Released amid renewed pro democracy protests in Hong Kong, the print connects historical calls for reform with contemporary civic movements, reinforcing Fairey’s long standing belief that public protest is an essential catalyst for meaningful political change. Protest Iconography and Graphic Language in Street Pop Art & Graffiti Artwork The composition features a smiling protester raising a hand in a gesture of peace beneath a red field with a yellow star, referencing national symbolism while reframing it through the lens of grassroots activism. A white dove emblem appears within an ornamental motif, suggesting aspirations for freedom and unity. Torn paper effects reveal layered textures, newsprint fragments, and secondary protest imagery, creating depth and historical resonance. Fairey’s use of high contrast black, red, cream, and teal echoes traditional propaganda aesthetics while redirecting that visual authority toward the voice of the people rather than the state. This strategic appropriation of graphic propaganda structure is a hallmark of Street Pop Art & Graffiti Artwork, where familiar visual codes are recontextualized to amplify dissent and solidarity. Historical Memory and Contemporary Street Pop Art & Graffiti Artwork Edward Nachtrieb’s photographs captured moments of optimism during the 1989 demonstrations before military suppression altered the course of that movement. Revolution in Our Time preserves that spirit of hope and determination through stylized reduction and bold silkscreen craftsmanship. The limited edition structure of 500 signed and numbered prints reflects the established fine art production model within Street Pop Art & Graffiti Artwork, ensuring both collectibility and archival presence. By merging documentary history with assertive graphic composition, Fairey transforms a specific historical moment into a broader symbol of civic courage, demonstrating how contemporary printmaking can sustain public memory and inspire ongoing engagement with democratic ideals.

Shepard Fairey- OBEY Factory Stacks- Endless Power Silkscreen Print by Shepard Fairey- OBEY

Factory Stacks- Endless Power 6-Color Hand-Pulled Limited Edition Silkscreen Print on Fine Speckletone Art Paper by Shepard Fairey Rare Street Art OBEY Pop Artwork Artist. 2022 Signed by Shepard Fairey Numbered 18x24 inches. Screenprint on thick cream Speckletone paper. Numbered edition of 350. "These “Factory Stacks” images combine the austere, angular power of factory architecture with graphic elements commenting on what we promote and embrace as a society even when those things are destructive. The fossil fuel industries have tremendous power economically, but we now know that not only are fossil fuel sources finite but that using them is terrible for climate change and, therefore, the eco-systems that sustain life on our planet. Unfortunately, due to the political power of these industries and public apathy about climate change, the government subsidizes the fossil fuel industries for billions even as they damage the environment. The government works for the citizens, so the choice is ours. Do we support endless power for wealthy fossil fuel corporations? Or policies that put the earth first with the planet before profits? Please read Naomi Klein’s THIS CHANGES EVERYTHING to better understand the conflict between economic interests and climate change. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this print will go to Greenpeace to fight climate change. Thanks for caring.” – Shepard Factory Stacks – Endless Power Silkscreen Print by Shepard Fairey Factory Stacks – Endless Power is a bold 6-color silkscreen print created in 2022 by Shepard Fairey, one of the most influential figures in Street Pop Art & Graffiti Artwork. Measuring 18x24 inches, this signed and numbered limited edition of 350 is printed on thick cream Speckletone paper and embodies Fairey’s hallmark aesthetic: a fusion of propaganda-style composition, socio-political messaging, and graphic design precision. It continues his Factory Stacks series, a visual campaign aimed at confronting environmental and systemic imbalances, particularly those surrounding the fossil fuel industry. Visual Language of Industrial Dominance This piece presents twin smokestacks emerging from a factory, exhaling thick plumes of smoke that bend into geometric arcs against a fractured backdrop. The composition is both imposing and elegant, rendered in Fairey’s signature palette of red, blue, cream, and black with accents of gold and grey. A section in the upper corner features graphic symbols such as currency and uniformed authority figures with the text “Endless Power,” visually connecting fossil fuel dependency to state and corporate control. Below, flames lick at the base of the structure, symbolizing destruction masked as progress. The stylized imagery and bold silhouettes evoke retro political posters, transforming the factory into an icon of unchecked industrial ambition. The title “Endless Power” is a biting irony. It speaks to the illusion of limitless energy consumption enabled by fossil fuels while referencing the political power structure that sustains this destructive system. Fairey uses the visual metaphor of pollution and fire not just as environmental warning signs, but as emblems of capitalism's refusal to pivot toward sustainability. Fine Art Printmaking as Street-Level Protest This edition is hand-pulled and silkscreened, showcasing Fairey’s technical prowess in layering crisp lines and vibrant color fields. The physicality of screenprinting—each layer applied with intention—parallels the artist’s belief in direct action. The Speckletone stock used adds texture and weight, reinforcing the piece’s physical presence and link to protest posters of the past. As a printmaker rooted in the street art tradition, Fairey embraces reproducibility without sacrificing uniqueness. His screenprints are both fine art artifacts and tools of mass communication. Factory Stacks – Endless Power does not rely on abstraction. It forces clarity, making its environmental critique visually immediate and emotionally provocative. Political Commentary Through Graffiti-Inspired Aesthetics Fairey’s work consistently straddles the space between fine art and graffiti, and this piece is no exception. By including symbols of nationalism, money, and smoke stacks, he aligns corporate power and environmental degradation in a single visual language. As part of the OBEY Giant campaign's broader ethos, the artwork invites viewers to question the legitimacy of authority, capitalism, and consumption. In the lower left of the piece, Fairey embeds the edition number and his signature, reinforcing its status as a collectible. Yet unlike conventional gallery art, this piece was made to communicate with the public. A portion of the proceeds from this release was donated to Greenpeace, underscoring the artist’s commitment to activism through art. Factory Stacks – Endless Power is not a lament—it is a visual demand. It reminds viewers that power, both political and industrial, is not endless unless people allow it to be. Through the bold format of Street Pop Art & Graffiti Artwork, Shepard Fairey transforms a grim industrial skyline into a battleground of ideas, urging action before the smoke becomes irreversible.

Mad Rise Against the System Blue Silkscreen Print by MAD

Rise Against the System- Blue 8-Color Hand-Pulled Limited Edition Silkscreen Print on 300gsm Bristol Paper by MAD Rare Street Art Famous Pop Artwork Artist. 2021 Signed & Numbered Limited Edition of 30 Artwork Size 19.7x27.6 "Rise Against the System - Blue" presents itself as a profound visual statement in the portfolio of the artist known as MAD, whose identity often remains as enigmatic as the messages embedded within their art. This piece is particularly remarkable, not only for its vibrant aesthetic but also for its rarity and the technique used in its creation. It is a limited edition silkscreen print with only 30 pieces, each meticulously signed and numbered by the artist. It underscores its value to collectors and enthusiasts of street art and pop art alike. The artwork spans a generous 19.7x27.6 inches and is printed on robust 300gsm Bristol paper, a choice that speaks to the durability and high quality of the print. The artwork is an eight-color hand-pulled silkscreen, a traditional technique that imbues each print with a unique touch, diverging from the uniformity of mass-produced art. The image itself—a figure entrapped within a bottle—acts as a metaphor for the constraints and pressures of societal systems. The use of a Blue palette not only draws the eye but also may represent the idea of 'going Blue' or environmental consciousness, a theme often explored in contemporary street art. The figure's pose, one of active resistance against the confines of the bottle, is symbolic of the fight against oppressive structures, a recurring theme in street art's lexicon, which often seeks to challenge the status quo. MAD's piece resonates within the broader context of pop art through its accessible imagery and bold coloration, yet it retains the edginess and subversion characteristic of street art. This duality ensures "Rise Against the System - Blue" speaks a universal language, appealing to a broad audience while remaining deeply rooted in the cultural and political commentary that defines much of the street art movement. Through this work, MAD offers a compelling narrative on personal agency and liberation, creating a lasting visual impact that transcends the moment of its creation, cementing its place in the discourse of modern art.

The Devil Made Me Do it & Divided We Stand, United We Fall were both made on January 6th in response to the Faustian bargain that Trump and his accomplices made in designing the coup. Today we find ourselves at a crossroads; now, more than ever, is the time we need to come together, take a stand, exercise our voices, and fight for Truth and Democracy. Hopefully, daylight will cast off this right-wing authoritarian spell. I see these posters as markers of a historical time and feel a duty within to share my views. We’re all exhausted by politics, but we must embrace the moment and take action because the threat is fundamental; our democracy could be gone in the blink of an eye." - Cleon Peterson The connection of Peterson with street art is also an aspect of his work worth mentioning. Even though he has created numerous murals all over the world, the artist himself does consider himself a street artist: “I don’t think of myself as a street artist or somebody that does work in that vein, but I love the idea of doing large paintings that confront people.”. This is revealing of his motivation to make his art as accessible as possible, as a way to invite the viewers to interact with it and confront the subjects the artist is interested in addressing. This brings up the following questions concerning the art of Peterson: “What is the meaning of it? Does it have a meaning after all? If yes, is this pre-determined by the artist? In order to better understand the way meaning is created in the world of Cleon Peterson, it is essential to, primarily, understand the way he perceives the media as a field of allegations, unbased rumors, suppositions and outright lies. In the world that the artist has created and, in correlation with our own reality, media is a tool of manipulation in the hands of politicians, leaving us helpless and in the mercy of an exploitative authoritarian system.

Measuring 18x24 inches, this piece is not just art; it's a socio-political statement that challenges viewers to confront the intricacies of power, politics, and influence. Fairey's choice of imagery is both bold and thought-provoking. He presents a depiction of the 40th United States President, Ronald Reagan, holding a sign that proclaims, "Legislative Influence For Sale." The audacious portrayal hints at the complex interplay of political agendas, financial influences, and lobbying, suggesting that even the highest office might not be immune to corruption or undue influence. Furthermore, the artist's clever juxtaposition of implying that one side might be innocent plays with the ambiguity of political righteousness, forcing a reflection upon the nuances of political morality. In the realms of pop art, street art, and graffiti, artists often hold a mirror to society, urging introspection, critique, and, at times, activism. Shepard Fairey's piece stands tall within this tradition. His deliberate use of the silkscreen medium, historically associated with both fine art (think Andy Warhol) and protest (recalling posters and flyers), emphasizes the blend of aesthetic beauty and powerful messaging. Through "Legislative Influence For Sale," Fairey not only cements his place in the pantheon of street art legends but also reignites essential conversations about democracy, integrity, and the potential pitfalls of unchecked power.

Not just the harmful effects of burning fossil fuels, but also the dangerous psychology of denial and nihilism that underpins the apathy toward the planet’s future (and ours)! Whether it is the defiant greed of the fossil fuel corporations or the indifference of a public comfortable with status quo habits around fossil fuels, further delay in transitioning to renewable energy sources will be catastrophic for the planet and all of its species. I know that none of us like the idea of disrupting a comfortable habit.-Shepard Fairey

Factory Stacks- Earth First 6-Color Hand-Pulled Limited Edition Silkscreen Print on Fine Speckletone Art Paper by Shepard Fairey Rare Street Art OBEY Pop Artwork Artist. Thanks for caring.” – Shepard Factory Stacks – Earth First Silkscreen Print by Shepard Fairey Factory Stacks – Earth First is a powerful 6-color hand-pulled silkscreen print created in 2022 by renowned American artist Shepard Fairey. Measuring 18x24 inches and printed on thick cream Speckletone fine art paper, this signed and numbered limited edition of 350 pieces fuses the political energy of graffiti with the precision and control of modern screenprint design. The work is part of Fairey’s continued focus on environmental activism through art and contributes to the broader conversation around the role of industry, power, and public accountability in climate policy. Industrial Might as Graphic Metaphor The print features a factory with twin smokestacks emitting bold trails of smoke against a fragmented and stylized backdrop of red, yellow, and blue—colors associated with urgency, fire, and warning. The building looms large, rendered with clean vector lines and high-contrast forms, while geometric elements and cultural motifs hover in the background, including currency iconography, flames, and architectural symbolism. The stark visual contrast between the rigid industrial structures and the organic chaos of smoke and fire underscores the clash between mechanized progress and ecological fragility. This image serves as a critique of global dependence on fossil fuels and the prioritization of profit over environmental sustainability. Shepard Fairey is known for embedding meaning within tightly structured visuals, and here he uses the monumental scale of the smokestacks as a metaphor for entrenched systems of power. The print’s backdrop includes references to government currency and propaganda textures, further emphasizing the complicity of institutional economics in environmental destruction. Screenprinting as Political Craft Fairey’s technical skill in hand-pulled silkscreening is evident in the crisp linework, bold palette, and balanced layering of texture and flat color. The artwork’s speckletone paper enhances the handmade quality of the piece, giving it the presence of a protest poster while retaining the refinement of collectible street pop art. The 6-color process allows for vibrant layering and nuanced interplay of light and form, with the red and black palette lending a sense of urgency and confrontation. By combining the visual language of commercial design with fine art methods, Fairey continues his legacy of making politically charged works that are accessible, reproducible, and grounded in visual activism. This piece fits into his broader OBEY aesthetic, which draws from punk, graffiti, and socialist propaganda to awaken public dialogue. Art as Environmental Statement Factory Stacks – Earth First is not merely a visual statement; it is a functional activist tool. A portion of the proceeds from this edition was pledged to Greenpeace, supporting global campaigns to combat climate change. Fairey encourages viewers to reflect on systemic inertia, corporate greed, and the governmental failure to transition away from environmentally destructive practices. His recommendation of Naomi Klein’s book “This Changes Everything” provides further intellectual grounding for the print’s message, aligning the work with contemporary thought leaders in environmental justice. This silkscreen print exemplifies the power of Street Pop Art & Graffiti Artwork as both a form of protest and a call to action. By merging aesthetics with advocacy, Shepard Fairey transforms industrial imagery into a demand for ecological responsibility and human accountability.

Bias by Numbers- Large Format 30X42 4-Color Hand-Pulled Limited Edition Silkscreen Print on Fine Speckletone Art Paper by Shepard Fairey Rare Street Art OBEY Pop Artwork Artist. Signed & Numbered, Bias by Numbers 30 inches by 42 inches Edition of 89 June 3, 2019 “Bias by Numbers” addresses racial bias in policing, criminal justice, and media culture. Racial bias in policing and criminal justice has a long history, including stats like – black people being five times more likely to be stopped and searched than white people, and four times more likely to be subjected to unnecessary use of force, or four times more likely to be killed by the police when unarmed. The statistics revealing racial bias in prosecution and sentencing are compelling as well. Though recreational drug use is equally common in both predominantly black communities and predominantly white communities, convictions for drug possession are almost six times higher for blacks. Blacks frequently receive longer prison sentences than whites contributing to African Americans being incarcerated at more than five times the rate of whites.

The Devil Made Me Do It Hand-Pulled 2-Color Silkscreen Print on Hand Deckled 290gsm Coventry Rag Paper by Artist Cleon Peterson Limited Edition Pop Art Artwork. 2022 Signed & Numbered Limited Edition of 300 Artwork Size 18x24 "The TRUTH image ran in the New York Times right before the election in the opinion feature, What Have We Lost. The Devil Made Me Do It & Divided We Stand, United We Fall were both made on January 6th in response to the Faustian bargain that Trump and his accomplices made in designing the coup. Today, we find ourselves at a crossroads; now, more than ever, we must come together, take a stand, exercise our voices, and fight for Truth and Democracy. Hopefully, daylight will cast off this right-wing authoritarian spell. I see these posters as markers of a historical time and feel a duty within to share my views. We're all exhausted by politics, but we must embrace the moment and take action because the threat is fundamental; our democracy could be gone in the blink of an eye." - Cleon Peterson. Cleon Peterson's Stark Commentary in "The Devil Made Me Do It" In the stark dichotomy of black and red, Cleon Peterson's "The Devil Made Me Do It" delivers a powerful visual commentary on the socio-political climate surrounding the events of January 6th, marked by the infamous U.S. Capitol riots. This hand-pulled 2-color silkscreen print on hand-deckled 290gsm Coventry Rag Paper emerges as a piece of street pop art and a historical marker, capturing a moment of intense national upheaval. Art as a Reflection of Societal Turmoil Peterson's artwork, a limited edition of 300 signed and numbered pieces, transcends the traditional boundaries of pop art. It embodies the artist's response to a fraught political landscape, reacting to the tumultuous events that shook the foundations of American democracy. The imagery of a man seemingly dancing while overshadowed by demonic figures speaks to the "Faustian bargain," suggesting a dance with the devil that echoes the betrayals and manipulations of political figures and the public seduced by their rhetoric. The title, "The Devil Made Me Do It," offers an ironic twist on the age-old excuse for succumbing to temptations and making morally questionable choices. Peterson's choice to release these works as a direct response to political events positions the artwork within a tradition of artists who use their craft to document and critique the times they live in. The visual language used in this piece is reminiscent of street art's often aggressive and provocative style, meant to engage the public in public spaces. The Role of Street Pop Art in Political Discourse Cleon Peterson's work exemplifies the role of street pop art in political discourse. Street art has always had a voice in the political arena, often serving as a raw expression of the people, unfiltered and unmediated. Through his work, Peterson extends this tradition by creating a piece that is both a reaction to and reflection of the political unrest that has characterized recent times. With its bold, unapologetic lines and vibrant colors, silkscreen printing makes "The Devil Made Me Do It" a commanding presence. It is a testament to the artist's ability to distill complex political and social emotions into a single, impactful image. In the tradition of street pop art, which often involves taking art out of the galleries and into the streets, Peterson's piece is designed to resonate with a broad audience, its message clear and accessible to all who encounter it. "The Devil Made Me Do It" is more than just a piece of pop art; it is a visual essay on the state of contemporary politics, a call to action, and a reminder of the power of art to reflect and affect change. It is a bold statement within the discourse of street pop art and graffiti artwork, capturing a moment when the world watched as democracy appeared to hang in the balance. Cleon Peterson's voice, through his art, adds to the chorus of those who advocate for truth and democracy, and his work remains a powerful example of how art can engage with and influence the political landscape.

Money and Power- Black Hand-Pulled 1-Color Silkscreen Print on Hand Deckled 290gsm Arches Rag Paper by Artist Cleon Peterson Limited Edition Art Artwork. 2022 Signed & Numbered Limited Edition of 75 Artwork Size 18x18 "Money and Power have become primary drivers in the modern world, pushing us toward a corrupt society. The days when our leaders looked out for the people's interests have become a thing of the past—replaced by the strong man who squashes the voices of dissent to set things straight. Money elects leaders; in return, they owe a debt to the people that put them in Power—enacting our new public policy of greed and gangster capitalism. We slowly accept corruption, Law slowly fades away, and people begin to feel like democracy and a fair and equitable society were always just an illusion, a dream from the past that never really even existed." -Cleon Peterson Money and Power by Cleon Peterson – A Stark Allegory of Corruption in Street Pop Art & Graffiti Artwork Money and Power is a powerful black hand-pulled 1-color silkscreen print created by Cleon Peterson in 2022. Produced in a limited edition of just 75 signed and numbered pieces, this 18x18 inch artwork is printed on 290gsm Arches rag paper with hand-deckled edges, emphasizing its artisanal quality and rarity. The stark yellow figures and flag, laid over a deep black background, serve as a searing visual metaphor of political decay and societal control. With simplified, militaristic forms, Peterson’s composition marches forward in rigid formation, symbolizing a collective submission to authoritarian rule driven by capitalist greed. The central banner bearing a dollar sign encapsulates the theme in one potent glyph: money has become the new god, the flag under which societies now march. Cleon Peterson's Street Pop Art & Graffiti Artwork – A Violent Mirror of Power Structures Cleon Peterson, born in the United States in 1973, is known globally for his uncompromising and provocative style that merges elements of street art, pop iconography, and a graffiti aesthetic into biting social commentary. His work does not rely on subtlety but instead confronts the viewer with raw and unsettling imagery. In Money and Power, Peterson explores how capitalist motives have become indistinguishable from systems of governance. The faceless, weapon-wielding figures invoke totalitarian control, with each character's uniformity and march-step illustrating the erasure of individual thought and freedom. Peterson’s use of a single bold color evokes propaganda art, recalling wartime posters and dictatorial regimes, reinforcing the critique that today’s economic elites and political figures have blended into a single oppressive force. Money and Power as a Visual Manifesto Against Gangster Capitalism This piece stands as a visual thesis against what Peterson terms gangster capitalism. He expresses the idea that leaders are no longer elected to serve the public good but instead owe their power to financial interests. These interests then dictate policy, ensuring that the cycle of wealth consolidation and systemic inequality continues unchecked. In the artwork, the figures do not march for justice or liberty, but for power sustained by money. The gun in each figure's hand underscores how violence or the threat of it is now a normalized tool for maintaining order in this corrupt structure. As law and accountability fade, Peterson’s image becomes a grim prophecy, showing a society where control is absolute and voices of dissent are methodically extinguished. A Defining Work in Modern Political Street Pop Art & Graffiti Artwork Money and Power exemplifies the essential mission of street pop art and graffiti artwork: to challenge viewers, provoke thought, and expose uncomfortable truths. Peterson uses minimalist design to deliver a maximalist message—every line, posture, and symbol communicates urgency and danger. The limited nature of the piece and the labor-intensive silkscreen technique elevate its importance as a collectible while preserving the raw authenticity central to street and graffiti art origins. It operates not merely as a print but as a declaration—one that distills Peterson’s disdain for performative democracy and unregulated capitalism into a concise, unforgettable image. The work’s impact lies in its clarity and its refusal to soften the critique, marking it as a seminal moment in Peterson’s body of work and a critical reflection of our time.

Icarus Democracy 3-Color Hand-Pulled Limited Edition Silkscreen Print on Cream Speckle Tone Paper by Shepard Fairey Rare Street Art OBEY Pop Artwork Artist. 2022 Signed & Numbered Limited Edition of 500 Artwork Size 24x36 "Liberty and equality are principles most people value, but the challenge is to find the proper equilibrium between the two. Democracy is the mechanism our nation has used to balance the freedom and desires of the individual with policies that are fair and beneficial for the collective of society. Democracy requires dedicated maintenance. With the culture of the previous administration and many politicians undermining democracy itself, the folly of over-confidence about the guaranteed endurance of democracy will lead to potential disaster. The threat of fascism is very real. If you value democracy use your voice and your vote. I’d recommend reading Timothy Snyders “On Tyranny” to anyone who does not see the threats to democracy (and the principles it protects) as concerning. This print, “Icarus Democracy,” will also be available in person at Dallas Contemporary." -Shepard Fairey Shepard Fairey Icarus Democracy 2022 Silkscreen Print Shepard Fairey, born in the United States in 1970, remains one of the most influential figures in Street Pop Art & Graffiti Artwork through his OBEY campaign and politically charged print editions. Icarus Democracy, released in 2022, is a 3-color hand-pulled silkscreen print on cream Speckle Tone paper measuring 24 x 36 inches. This signed and numbered limited edition of 500 reflects Fairey’s continued engagement with civic themes, democratic responsibility, and the fragile balance between liberty and equality. Produced in the bold graphic style that defines his practice, the work merges classical symbolism with contemporary political commentary. Classical Myth and Democratic Symbolism in Street Pop Art & Graffiti Artwork The composition features a stylized Icarus figure gliding downward over ocean waves, framed by dramatic black radiating lines and a red sun bearing the words Liberty Democracy Equality. At the bottom, the phrase A Flight of Fancy in the Absence of Vigilance underscores the central warning embedded in the imagery. By referencing the myth of Icarus—whose overconfidence led to his fall—Fairey draws a parallel to the dangers of complacency within democratic systems. The restrained palette of red, black, and cool blue enhances the poster-like clarity, a hallmark of Street Pop Art & Graffiti Artwork that uses bold contrast and simplified forms to deliver urgent, accessible messages. Limited Edition Craftsmanship and Contemporary Political Relevance Hand-pulled in three colors, the print demonstrates the precision layering and tonal control that characterize Fairey’s silkscreen editions. The cream Speckle Tone paper provides a subtle texture that reinforces the vintage propaganda aesthetic he frequently references. As a signed and numbered edition of 500, Icarus Democracy stands as both a collectible fine art print and a civic statement, urging viewers to remain vigilant in protecting democratic values. Through mythological metaphor and striking graphic design, Shepard Fairey continues to define how Street Pop Art & Graffiti Artwork can function as both cultural artifact and call to action.

A portion of proceeds from Alternative Facts will benefit the ACLU in its legal fights against voter suppression and other attacks on the constitution." -Shepard Fairey Shepard Fairey's work is highly political and social, not only because he is incorporating politicians and slogans in it but more importantly because the artist is primarily interested in approaching as many people as possible, exhibiting his work in the covers of the books, which we read, in the music albums, to which we listen, and on the walls of the streets, where we walk. “If I put art in a daring spot, it’s more moving to the viewer and demonstrates my conviction.”, he says. After all, Fairey, in many cases, directly expresses his views on politics and society, whenever he is given the chance. For example, in the aftermath of the “Hope” poster, he commented the following: “Obama has had a really tough time, but there have been a lot of things that he's compromised on that I never would have expected. I mean, drones and domestic spying are the last things I would have thought [he'd support]”. The political aspect of his work can, also, be seen under the spectrum of Fairey’s activism and humanitarian activity. Many of his works have been created as part of activism campaigns or were sold to support causes relevant to the Arts, animal rights, poverty, medical research, the environment, etc. The artist, however, doesn’t identify himself as an activist: “People ask me if I’m an activist, and my answer is no. I’m an artist with a point of view, but I want to do my part to supplement activist causes I believe in. I feel fortunate to connect with people who find my imagery useful and help spread it.”

Resist Colonialism 2-Color Hand-Pulled Limited Edition Silkscreen Print on Fine Art Paper by Ernesto Yerena Montejano (Hecho Con Ganas) Famous Mexican American Pop Artwork Artist. 2019 Signed & Numbered Limited Edition of 100 Size 18x24 "Resist Colonialism" is a commanding visual statement by Ernesto Yerena Montejano, a name synonymous with vibrant expressions of cultural identity and political activism within the contemporary art scene. This 2-color hand-pulled limited edition silkscreen print, produced under his studio label Hecho Con Ganas, captures the essence of resistance against colonial powers and their historical narratives. Created in 2019, it is a testament to Yerena Montejano's dedication to fusing art with social commentary. The artwork, sized at 18x24 inches, is a limited edition with only 100 signed and numbered pieces, adding an exclusive aspect to its acquisition. The artist's Mexican-American heritage profoundly influences the imagery and themes present in his works, and "Resist Colonialism" is no exception. The stark contrast of the red and black ink, a hallmark of silkscreen printing, resonates with the simplicity yet power of revolutionary posters, echoing the visual language of protest and propaganda throughout history. Yerena Montejano's choice of symbols, juxtaposing a pirate ship bearing both the emblems of hazardous material and the iconic skull and crossbones, underscores the danger and death associated with colonial conquests. The backdrop, an unyielding red circle, could be interpreted as a reference to the rising sun, symbolizing a new dawn of awareness and opposition to colonialism. The inclusion of the raised fist, a universal sign of solidarity and resistance, further amplifies the print’s message, urging onlookers to acknowledge past transgressions and take a stand against the lingering effects of colonialism. This piece of art resonates within the pop art, street art, and graffiti art movements due to its accessible yet poignant visual language. It uses the aesthetics everyday in these art forms to engage the public discourse on decolonization and indigenous rights. As with many of his works, Yerena Montejano's "Resist Colonialism" print is not just a piece of art to be admired for its aesthetic merits but also serves as a mobilizing agent that encourages viewers to reflect on complex socio-political issues. His ability to distill fervent political messaging into compelling graphic art has cemented his status as a crucial voice in the conversation about identity, culture, and activism within the art world.

Thanks for caring." -Shepard Fairey Shepard Fairey, the mind behind the iconic OBEY imagery, once again channels his signature blend of street and pop art in the "Flower Power Blue AP" silkscreen print. An emblem of countercultural movement, Fairey's piece presents a striking juxtaposition of the serene blue lotus flower against the industrial backdrop of electric power lines. The "Flower Power" series, which this print is a part of, stands as a clarion call for humanity's pivot from environmentally harmful fossil fuels to more sustainable energy sources. This transition, as Fairey suggests, is not just a matter of technological or economic feasibility; it is an imperative for the continuity of life as we understand it. The reference to Naomi Klein's "This Changes Everything" underscores the severity of the looming climate crisis, offering readers a comprehensive analysis of our current ecological predicament and the urgency with which we must act. Proceeds from the sale of these prints are directed to 350.org, an organization at the forefront of the global movement to address climate change.

Propaganda
Propaganda, historically known for its influential nature in shaping public opinions and ideas, has been a prominent subject in contemporary graffiti art and street art prints. Graffiti and street art have long been recognized as powerful tools for expressing social and political messages, sparking dialogues and challenging the status quo. The incorporation of propaganda as a topic in this medium demonstrates the artists' keen understanding of its impact on society and their desire to subvert or critique its pervasive influence. One of the driving forces behind incorporating propaganda into graffiti and street art prints is the artists' motivation to challenge mainstream narratives and question established ideologies. Through visually striking, thought-provoking, and often controversial images, these artists aim to stimulate critical thinking and encourage viewers to reevaluate their own beliefs and perceptions. In many cases, the artists employ irony, satire, and parody to highlight the absurdities and deceptions within political and media landscapes. Moreover, graffiti and street art prints featuring propaganda themes tend to draw attention to the power dynamics at play in societies across the globe. By showcasing propaganda imagery and slogans, artists expose the manipulative tactics employed by governments, corporations, and other influential entities to shape public opinion, manipulate emotions, and further their agendas. In this way, graffiti and street art prints serve as a reminder of the pervasive nature of propaganda, urging viewers to stay vigilant and critical of the messages they encounter. The use of propaganda in graffiti art and street art prints also has the potential to empower marginalized voices and communities. By appropriating symbols, slogans, and images associated with propaganda, artists can subvert dominant narratives and give a voice to the underrepresented. This act of resistance and reclaiming is particularly relevant in the context of political oppression, social injustice, and systemic inequality, where art has long been a potent means of protest and self-expression. Furthermore, the exploration of propaganda themes in graffiti art and street art prints enables artists to reflect on the historical and cultural contexts in which they exist. By drawing inspiration from past events and iconic propaganda campaigns, these works create a visual language that transcends geographic boundaries and generations. In doing so, they encourage viewers to consider the cyclical nature of history and the recurring patterns of manipulation and control. The intersection of propaganda and graffiti art and street art prints is not only visually compelling, but it also highlights the powerful role that art can play in initiating conversations, challenging beliefs, and fostering change. By exploring propaganda as a topic, graffiti and street artists demonstrate their commitment to addressing pressing societal issues, providing an alternative perspective to mainstream narratives, and pushing the boundaries of creative expression. Graffiti art and street art prints featuring propaganda themes have become increasingly popular and impactful in recent years. By incorporating these themes, artists can engage in critical discourse, question established ideologies, empower marginalized voices, and connect with historical and cultural contexts. This unique fusion of propaganda and graffiti and street art provides an invaluable avenue for sparking debate, inspiring critical thinking, and promoting social change.
