Shepard Fairey- OBEY The High Cost Of Free Speech Silkscreen Print by Shepard Fairey- OBEY
Purchase The High Cost Of Free Speech Limited Edition 2-Color Hand-Pulled Silkscreen Print on Speckled Cream Paper by Shepard Fairey graffiti street artist modern pop art. Punk rock ignited a lot of creative and philosophical things for me, and punk principles continuously remind me that speaking truth to power and questioning authority is paramount in life. The Dead Kennedys, The Clash, Black Flag, and the Circle Jerks are just a few of the groups that referenced injustices such as police brutality and abuse of power in their songs, inspiring me to speak out about the same subjects through my art. I have made a lot of lasting friendships through punk rock and its cultural offshoots. One of those friends is Sean Bonner, who began ordering my prints in the ’90s while he was art director for punk label Victory Records.

Purchase Freedom/Prosperity At Any Price- Red Limited Edition Hand Pulled 2-Color Screenprint Print on 290gsm Arches Rag Paper with Deckled Edges by Cleon Peterson graffiti street artist modern pop art. Hand-pulled 18 x 24" screenprint. Printed on 290gsm Arches Rag paper with deckled edges. Each print is signed and numbered. Limited edition of 125. The visuality of Cleon Peterson's work is based on a variety of influences, from ancient Greek pottery to comics, resulting in monochromacy and strong color symbolism. In more detail, the figures exist on multiple straight lines, something that, subsequently, creates the illusion that the artwork is divided in levels. The perspective and the impression of depth do moderately exist in the art of Peterson and, just like in Greek vases, the background space is usually left empty or slightly embellished.

Purchase UltraS Limited Edition Archival Pigment Prints on 310gsm Fine Art Paper by David Molesky graffiti street artist modern pop art. 2016 Signed & Numbered Limited Edition of 50 Artwork Size 24x20 "This painting is the masterpiece from my series of paintings based on media images of the revolution in Kiev. It's the largest of the eight paintings so far and the one that I spent the most time on. I feel like the figure captures the energy that originally drew me into the subject matter. The paintings of this series are a departure from my earlier figurative painting. For the last decade or so I had tried to depict universal time and avoided man-made objects. I’ve dropped that dogma. I love that the subject is current, and also contains elements that seem from another era. For example, the old school puffy down jacket and the overall color looks a bit like old film tone." - David Molesky

In my visual strategy, I choose colors, patterns, and icons that powerfully engage the viewer, and I write the text for my pieces using words that have the power of clear and concise communication. The concept of power is almost always present in my art. Forms of power addressed in the subject matter of New Clear Power include abuse of power, power concentrated under capitalism, renewable power, political power, the power of creativity, power over information, and the power of controlling narrative." -Shepard Fairey "New Clear Power Silkscreen Print" is a work of art by the renowned American street artist Shepard Fairey, also known by his moniker, OBEY. The "New Clear Power Silkscreen Print" is a limited edition artwork created with Fairey's signature silkscreen printing technique. Silkscreen printing, also known as screen printing, is a process that involves applying layers of ink through a mesh screen to create an image on various surfaces. Shepard Fairey frequently uses this method to create his distinctive, bold, and highly detailed artworks. Fairey's work often explores political and social themes, with powerful imagery and messages to provoke thought and discussion. The "New Clear Power Silkscreen Print" incorporates similar themes and is intended to raise awareness about a specific issue or idea. Since the title plays with the words "New Clear Power" (sounds like "Nuclear Power"), it may address topics such as the use of nuclear energy, its potential benefits, and its risks to society and the environment. The artwork probably features Fairey's recognizable style, which typically combines elements of graphic design, illustration, and street art. As with many of Fairey's limited edition prints, the "New Clear Power Silkscreen Print" is highly sought after by art collectors and fans of the artist's work.

To celebrate the release of JOE STRUMMER 002 and in honor of Joe’s 70th birthday, a limited edition print inspired by the Joe Strummer and the Mescaleros song, JOHNNY APPLESEED. Joe’s lyric “If you’re after getting the honey, then you don’t go killing all the bees” applies to lots of things, like mistreating factory workers, but for me the idea that bees are pollinators who are crucial to sustaining Earth’s fragile eco-systems is a powerful idea. I hope to honor Joe’s music and extend his ideas with my No Bees No Honey print. A portion of proceeds will go to the Joe Strummer Foundation." -Shepard Fairey The "No Bees No Honey" print highlights the importance of bees in our ecosystem and raises awareness about the decline in bee populations. Bees are vital for pollination, which helps plants reproduce and is essential for food production. The decline in bee populations has been linked to factors such as habitat loss, pesticide exposure, climate change, and disease. Fairey's print seeks to emphasize the urgency of addressing these issues in order to protect bees and maintain a healthy environment. The silkscreen print features Fairey's distinctive visual style, which combines elements of graphic design, street art, and propaganda art. His works often incorporate bold colors, striking imagery, and thought-provoking messages to grab the viewer's attention and promote conversation around important social and environmental issues.

I showed it with Dabs, Myla, and Rime. These paintings show a darker side of BunnyKitty’s universe. Spotlighting police brutality, riots, wet dreams, and women of pleasure. Subjects that are touchy to some, but presented in a cute aesthetic.I tend to daydream a lot. These paintings come directly from those daydreams. I start by sketching rough ideas in my journal--not even complete ideas--and use them as a reference, then go straight into painting. No pencil or transfer paper was used in the making of this work." - Persue

Purchase Icarus Democracy 3-Color Hand-Pulled Limited Edition Silkscreen Print on Cream Speckle Tone Paper by Shepard Fairey Rare Street Art OBEY Pop Artwork Artist. 2022 Signed & Numbered Limited Edition of 500 Artwork Size 24x36 "Liberty and equality are principles most people value, but the challenge is to find the proper equilibrium between the two. Democracy is the mechanism our nation has used to balance the freedom and desires of the individual with policies that are fair and beneficial for the collective of society. Democracy requires dedicated maintenance. With the culture of the previous administration and many politicians undermining democracy itself, the folly of over-confidence about the guaranteed endurance of democracy will lead to potential disaster. The threat of fascism is very real. If you value democracy use your voice and your vote. I’d recommend reading Timothy Snyders “On Tyranny” to anyone who does not see the threats to democracy (and the principles it protects) as concerning. This print, “Icarus Democracy,” will also be available in person at Dallas Contemporary." -Shepard Fairey The Icarus Democracy Silkscreen Print is a piece of art created by Shepard Fairey, an American contemporary street artist, graphic designer, and activist. In the Icarus Democracy Silkscreen Print, Fairey uses the myth of Icarus to convey a message about democracy. In Greek mythology, Icarus is a figure who, along with his father Daedalus, escapes imprisonment using wings fashioned from feathers and wax. Despite being warned by his father, Icarus flies too close to the sun, causing the wax in his wings to melt and sending him plummeting into the sea. The story of Icarus is often interpreted as a cautionary tale about hubris and the perils of overconfidence or overreaching. Fairey's print likely uses the Icarus story to comment on the state of democracy, suggesting that democracies can also fall victim to hubris and overconfidence, resulting in negative consequences. Or maybe it's just fearmongering? The piece serves as a reminder of the importance of vigilance in preserving and protecting democratic values and institutions both ironically and literally. The artwork, like many of Fairey's pieces, is created using the silkscreen printing technique. This process involves using a screen to apply ink onto a surface, creating bold, vibrant images. The Icarus Democracy Silkscreen Print showcases Fairey's signature style, characterized by strong lines, bold colors, and iconic imagery, featuring portraiture & symbols that can be easily recognized and interpreted by a wide audience.
Mear One False Profits Gold Leaf Serigraph Print by Mear One
Purchase False Profits- Gold Leaf Limited Edition 11-Color Gold Leaf Serigraph on Hand-Deckled 290gsm Coventry Rag Paper by Mear One graffiti street artist modern pop art. "This silkscreen is based on a 2012 mural I painted off Brick Lane in the Shoreditch community of East London. I originally titled this piece “Freedom For Humanity” and experienced loads of controversy over the subject matter at the time of its creation. The mural, done entirely in spray paint, depicted a group of fat, old, decrepit white men playing a game of Monopoly on the backs of the working class. My critique of the elite banking cartels brought a standard response from the conservative contingent in London who swiftly conspired to have the piece silenced, but not before the BBC was able to televise the developing controversy surrounding the mural. A heated debate went on for about 4 weeks until finally my mural was buffed by the local governing authorities, thus silencing the message and preventing the conversation from reaching any more viewers. The message was too strong for some to cope with, but I know it was timely and relevant and it needed to be said. With the global economic situation collapsing financial systems across the planet we need more critical thought that shows resistance to this blatant disregard for humanity." - Mear One

Jim Marshall's photograph of a coal mining family in Hazard, Kentucky, taken while he lived with them, says a lot with what it shows, which is a mother and two children huddled together in support of each other, but it says just as much with what it lacks. There is a conspicuous absence of material necessities and a father. I don't know whether the father was working in a coal mine when the photograph was taken or had potentially died young because of the health risks of working under dangerous conditions, but it is clear that the family is struggling and lacking.

Purchase Moon Over Biloxi- White 1-Color Hand-Pulled Limited Edition Silkscreen Print on Fine Art Paper by Shepard Fairey Rare Street Art Famous Pop Artwork Artist. White Variant Signed & Numbered Moon Over Biloxi Screen Print 18 x 24 inches Edition of 200 July 27, 2010. "The title of this print “Moon Over Biloxi” is a tribute to the Dead Kennedy’s song “Moon Over Marin”. In 1984 I picked up maybe my 4th punk record which was the 2nd Dead Kennedy’s album “Plastic Surgery Disasters”. The album is a great listen all the way through and includes some blistering tunes like “Riot” and “Bleed For Me” laced with social commentary. The surprise song though is “Moon Over Marin”… detractors have called it the Dead Kennedy’s “U2” song, but I disagree. “Moon Over Marin” is more melodic than most DK, but juxtaposed with the darkness of the lyrics, the song evokes a powerful sense of existential melancholy. I think the concept that struck me, and stuck with me, is that our disrespect of each other and the planet may doom us, but things will continue without us. I think it is healthy to recognize impermanence, but also to appreciate the value of the ephemeral. Moonlight, real or electric, will probably be around, but what it will be casting light on is the real question. There will always be a moon over Biloxi." -Shepard

I’d like to see a fundamental assumption that ALL people deserve respect and human dignity. This applies to the universal meaning of dignity, to be valued, and respected for what you are, what you believe in, and how you live your life. I consider myself a global citizen, and though I think the nations serve a structural function, all people should be equal, and everyone’s life counts the same regardless of where they live." -Shepard Fairey

Shepard Fairey- OBEY Alternative Facts Silkscreen Print by Shepard Fairey- OBEY
Purchase Alternative Facts Hand-Pulled 4-Color Silkscreen Print on Speckletone Fine Art Paper by Artist Shepard Fairey Limited Edition Pop Art Artwork. 2022 Signed & Numbered Limited Edition of XXX Artwork Size 24x24 " We are at a critical moment for the preservation of democracy and non-partisan access to voting for all citizens of voting age. Between the Supreme Court, partisan gerrymandering shaping state legislatures, and the filibuster as a tool of obstruction in Congress, we are already facing tyranny by the minority. The forces dominating our politics do not reflect the values of most Americans. My print, Alternative Facts, addresses the mass confusion about truth that allows the parties who spread the big lie about the 2020 election (and many other lies) fomented the January 6th insurrection and are engaged in voter suppression and other anti-democracy schemes, to flourish unchecked. A portion of proceeds from Alternative Facts will benefit the ACLU in its legal fights against voter suppression and other attacks on the constitution." -Shepard Fairey Shepard Fairey's work is highly political and social, not only because he is incorporating politicians and slogans in it but more importantly because the artist is primarily interested in approaching as many people as possible, exhibiting his work in the covers of the books, which we read, in the music albums, to which we listen, and on the walls of the streets, where we walk. “If I put art in a daring spot, it’s more moving to the viewer and demonstrates my conviction.”, he says. After all, Fairey, in many cases, directly expresses his views on politics and society, whenever he is given the chance. For example, in the aftermath of the “Hope” poster, he commented the following: “Obama has had a really tough time, but there have been a lot of things that he's compromised on that I never would have expected. I mean, drones and domestic spying are the last things I would have thought [he'd support]”. The political aspect of his work can, also, be seen under the spectrum of Fairey’s activism and humanitarian activity. Many of his works have been created as part of activism campaigns or were sold to support causes relevant to the Arts, animal rights, poverty, medical research, the environment, etc. The artist, however, doesn’t identify himself as an activist: “People ask me if I’m an activist, and my answer is no. I’m an artist with a point of view, but I want to do my part to supplement activist causes I believe in. I feel fortunate to connect with people who find my imagery useful and help spread it.”

Maximilian Wiedemann Razor Gun Silkscreen Print by Maximilian Wiedemann
Purchase Razor Gun Limited Edition 5-Color Hand-Pulled Silkscreen Print on 130lbs Mohawk Vellum Fine Art Paper by Maximilian Wiedemann graffiti street artist modern pop art. "Looking at the current media coverage and shocking violence that has spread around the world, I felt it was time to release an anti-gun/crime piece. In the wider sense and anti-violence statement. Don't pull the trigger! As you see in the detail, the trigger is the razor, making it impossible or painful to shoot. It's a fine little detail in the gun that turns the meaning of weapons around. All you need is love. This design and coloring have exclusively been done for 1XRUN. This Idea has been shown first in New York in 2011 in the Vanity Unfair Show - I felt it has more relevance than ever these days." - Maximilian Wiedemann
