Based on Luke Chueh’s original painting, The Prisoner ponders captivity in its many forms—physical, mental or in some cases pharmaceutical. Post-traumatic stress disorder is a mental health problem that can develop after experiencing or witnessing a life-threatening event like combat, natural disaster, car accident, or sexual assault. And the dependency on prescription medications such as Xanax to treat PTSD has lead to widespread addiction problems.
